My 14 year old daughter and I went in yesterday for a haircut. I was asked for pictures in advance and they said they were able to do the cut. The cut she did greatest was awful just awful. I wish she would have just said she couldnt do it. They also charged 120.00 for said haircut. And I

I booked with sophie, even got a confirmation text and did the 100$ deposit.The day of my appoitment, got there and they couldnt find my apoitment. So they added my appoitment while im there. Ended up waiting for sophie for more than an hour.Finally while i sat on the chair she been super busy, she put the robe on me and left for another 20-15 mnts to check on other clients. Came back did my hair, and then after done washed. She helped me cut a little bit and left again, and another hair stylist cut my hair. So there sophie and nikky that cut my hair. And nikky also helped me blow dry my hair.They all were really nice, i paid total 400$, that the highest that i ever paid whole my life for my hair. And its only for cut and color melts or tone it out not even big major changing for my hair.When i get home i still see alots of oranges color at the back, and also there like some parts are too short the middle of the back. And then the whole process of my hair was only an hour. But the waiting and and leave you hanging and kept walking away while doing my hair its bad. I understand sophie is busy and always overbooked.But i also value my time and for the price that i pay i expected more.

Hair secret salon is the place to go. Hairstylist are friendly, professionals, and will take care of your hair. I went for a hair color and haircut. I love the how natural my hair looks. I can tell their products are best quality. During this pandemic, I felt secure since everybody are wearing masks and keeping social distance. Do not hesitate to make an appointment with them. The three hair stylists that work there will treat you great and make sure you are happy with your hair.

My daughter and I had a “mommy and daughter date” got our hair done! My daughter has been wanting to dye her hair blue just the tips but I was worried since she is only 9 years old don’t want to damage her hair instead Sophie recommend hair extensions no hair gets damage and my daughter gets 💙 hair it was a win win my daughter was so excited and loved the blue extensions.. They took care of us from beginning to end ❤️ This is my to go place for my hair and for my daughters as well..

My experience in this hair salon wasn’t good at all. I’m usually non-confrontational but every time I look at my daughter hair I Regret I went to this place. I honestly don’t know why I tipped them because when I looked at my daughters hair right away I thought I would cut her better. And I haven’t even mentioned that the girl who cut my hair didn’t offer me washing hair. Never in my life I had my hair cute without wash and I wash charged the full price too. Overall left the place feeling disappointed and overwhelmed.

So this is my second time going to Hair Secret Salon and they have taken care of me quite well. My hair feels better than ever before even after all the processing to get to light ash blond. Sophie(the owner) and Nikki (hair stylist with angel hands) always want to make you feel better and comfortable. They help you make the right decision thats right for you because they stress that everyones hair different . I really recommend them because they do quality work with love for their clients and the salon is so cute too! Ive included before and after photos

I‘ve gotten my hair done at this place twice and I can’t say enough good things about them. Sophie and her team (she has a wonderful team I can’t emphasis that enough; they work together like family), are great! I’ve only had good experiences here so I don’t understand where all the negativity is coming from?I went to this place as a last minute booking and they were able to achieve what I’ve been wanting to achieve for the past two years. I would say Hair Secret isn’t considered cheap BUT it is reasonable and worth it for the job that they do (the dye, the technique, the time, people really need to take into consideration). They knew I wouldn’t be back for a year but still treated me like I was coming back within the next 4-6 weeks (which I thoroughly appreciate), and seemed genuine. I would say depending on what you want done, it is an investment but I still get compliments on my hair after a few months of getting it done and that is worth it.If you’re worried about a price, I would just tell Sophie how much you’d like to pay, and what you want done and from what I know about her and her team, they would be gladly to work with you on what you can achieve with your budget. Then, just set up an agreement prior to your official appointment and when you get there, just double check the price and what you guys agreed on to get done.Other than that, from my experience their technique is amazing and they didn’t use heat on my hair for the dye which I appreciate too ☺️P.S. my hair was black with a horrible reddish brown ombré the first time I went to Sophie. First time was also amazing. She was able to color correct it to an ashy brown and this picture is after the second time I went to her and we added lighter pieces.

I personally would only recommend going here if your looking to get a simple dye. The staff was really friendly but the prices were way over priced. my hair was not blended properly and got charged again for the mistakes that they did she didnt even have the decency to let me know that it didn’t look good just sent me on my way to come back 3 times and get charged every time again for they’re wrong doing ..

Vivian is truly a hair goddess. She is by far the best hair colorist I have met. As being Asian its hard to get certain colors correct. Ive been to ALOT of salons in this area and they have always disappointed me. But Vivian at Atelier is amazing! Im so glad I found her.

The salon is cute and comfortable, they had Frank Sinatra playing when I came in to get my hair done and that is mine and my dads favorite artist to listen to together, it was very relaxing. The owner Sophie is very sweet and attentive to her customers, I didn’t have an exact picture in my head or what I wanted to look like since this was my first time dying it, but with what I did tell her she gave me more than I expected. I trusted her completely because she knew exactly what she was talking about and was so confident and comfortable herself how could you not trust someone like that. I’m so happy to have met Sophie and discovered her salon, it’s exactly what you expect when going into a hair salon. Would recommend to anyone looking for quality services ranging from hair styling, eyelashe extensions, and even skincare.

Sophie and her team changed my life pretty much! I never wore my natural hair confidently until I got the GK treatment. After my first experience, I went back 3 times and plan to continue. It was my first time getting my hair bleached and dyed, so I was a bit nervous, but they really knew a lot about hair and helped me clearly picture the look I was going for. I would absolutely recommend this place for any hair need from as simple as hair cut to as extreme as hair treatment. First the warm welcoming service you reciever when entering is worth it alone. When i went sophie and her cousin cut and dyed my 15yr old daughters hair she made her feel comfortable ans made her hair look beautiful and removed all damaged hair. I also has a consultation on my own hair that is extremely damaged and she gave me an amazing quote and let me Know what i needed without trying to rip me off like most places do. Her prices was very reasonable for the time n work done. Her shop is very professional but also very warm and her beautiful baby is a joy to be around.

I DO NOT recommend this place. Unless, you are ready to be overcharged. I went for a simple haircut and was charged over $85 dollars. The owner Sophie is more interested in talking about herself and boasting about how well her salon is supposedly doing, even though there was only one other customer in her salon and she actually downgraded to a smaller location in recent years. She never asked me how I liked the outcome, nor did she hand me a mirror to see the back side as other salons usually do. Another annoying thing was that she kept trying to convince me to get a $450 GK hair treatment claiming that my hair was dry, which couldnt be farther from the truth. My hair is naturally coarse and wavy, not dry. In fact, its so healthy that my hair scrunchys slide off when i wear it straight. Anyways, its not about the cost of this GK treatment, but I bet you ladies Didnt know these treatments are saturated in Formaldehyde. Yikes! cancer causing treatments are not worth temporary straightened hair. Ladies please do the research on all these products before blindly exposing yourself to health risks.Sophie went to the extent of having me walk over to meet her only other customer there to try to convince me about getting this expensive treatment, which I get its a business and she wants to sell, sell, sell. But, not when she then claims she had no time at the end to properly blow out my hair, because her next appointment had walked in. I wasnt completely satisfied with my haircut, couldve had more volume, but she was too busy to care about it. Once she realized I wasnt going to fall for her high pressure sells tactic, she basically cast me off to some random employee to finish my hair. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

I got a beyond amazing Japanese permanent straightening and Keratin treatment! My hair is naturally curly. Also, it’s extremely thick and voluminous. With Sophie and Nikkay’s fantastic, warm and friendly service, they entirely transformed my hair.It is very soft and silky. Other salons left my hair dry and frizzy. I am defnitely coming back to get my Japanese straightening touch-ups!

I went here for the first time yesterday because my bestie has been raving about how its an all in one stop shop. I had colored my hair at home with my mom using some Sallys coloring product. I ended up with hot roots and it was just bad. I went back to Sallys to get another color that the sales lady said would over ride the top color and it would all be even. That was not the case! My hair was a disaster. I went to Hair Secret Salon and everyone was very friendly, I was offered a drink several times to make sure I was still doing okay. It has a very relaxed environment and they offer to do nails there, as well as have skin and hair products. My stylist was Sophie and she was very kind and she seemed very knowledgeable explaining to me the reason why my hair turned out the way it did and she even gave me tips on how to make the color last longer. I was thankful that she offered another option other than bleaching because Ive been to places that dont care about how much you have to spend or the quality of your hair and would rather just charge you for their sake. All in all I had a very good experience and me and the bestie will definitely be back.

Love this salon. It was my first time there and everyone was super friendly. Claudia was awesome and did an AMAZING job on my hair. Definitely going back. I also got to find out that my old high school friend works there as well HA HA small world.

I was in need of a cut and I decided to try this place out because I was loving that they were open on Saturday. I may have made the appointment for the wrong Saturday but they fit me in which I thought was nice. My plan was to only get a cut, but they sold me on a treatment that reduces frizz, a Carotene treatment. It was more than I wanted to spend, but ok if it makes doing my hair easier..go for it! I was there a few hours and left happy. After my first wash...I was not so happy with the money I spent..I wasnt going to call and complain...but they text me to see how I was enjoying my hair...like what? Who does that? I was honest in my response...I was not happy. She said, come back in. I said ok...see you Saturday. When I came back in she evaluated my hair and taught me how to utilize the treatment they had put in my hair. I left very happy and was really impressed with the service I got. I gave them 5 stars because I have never had that kind of service, they honestly wanted me to feel comfortable with the money I spent and wanted me to love my hair. Which I do. I will be going back and I appreciate the care they treated me with. Because it honestly could have went a different way.

The owner of this fine establishment Sophie Kim is probably one of the best people Ive ever met. She is absolutely full of stories and she even opened her shop to me on her day off. I got my hair cut, a new hair style, and a beard trim and I came out looking like Ryan Reynolds...or at least my hair did. I didnt learn the hair secret but I think it has something to do with how you feel like you leave with much more than just a fresh new look. Youll find me back here monthly.

Please save your time and money. Expensive and bad customer service. My stylist was 20 minutes late to my appointment, the owner just tried to sell and brags about her personal life, the secretary and stylist both forgot my name several times throughout my visit. I had been here 3 times prior and it was okay but this last visit was so horrible it was my last.

My 1st visit to Secret was about a month ago. Often times I like to give my review after a few weeks because I think all haircuts styles look really look good after a haircut but a few weeks show the real outcome of the cut. Im still happy with the tone down Elizabeth did and the cut I got. They treated me with all smiles and felt very welcoming. I even received a nice hair product from the owner herself. I moved to upland over 2 years and have looked and tried numerous salons and have not found 1 that I really loved until now. Thank you..

If I could give this place a 0 I would. I went in there trusting and putting my faith in what they said they could do. I showed them a picture of what I wanted they informed me they could do this in 4-5 hours. Half way through putting my Color in they said they wouldnt be able to do this in one sitting and that I would have to come back. 6 hours later they said they wouldnt be able to finish my hair the way we agreed upon. By the time they had my hair washed and dried I have been sitting there almost 7.5 hours, when I left it was almost midnight. They saidId be able to see the color in the sun.The next day I woke up to dye all over my forehead my hair dyed in a completely different style then what I asked and what we agreed upon. AND they changed me almost TRIPLE what they charge for an ombré. ( which I wanted but didnt get) I asked for a refund due to the product not being what we agreed upon. They will not refund my money and They will not do the right thing and acknowledge they messed up. My hair is damaged looks awful and I cant get it fixed because I am from out of state. I would not recommend this place. I am very disappointed in my experience here and Im very unhappy with how my hair is. If I could post a picture of the damage on my review I would! The secret is out....this is the best among in So Cal. I travel 30 minutes to come see Sophie for color, trim, Brazilian or GK, and keratin extensions every 3 months like clockwork. Her salon is clean, staff is friendly, and my hair has not been in better condition than it has the last couple years.

Communication is key when you are coloring your hair. The hair secret salon lacks communication. I have gone to other salons who have asked me to come back in to touch up or fix my hair... this salon does not take ownership for a job not done well. I would advise you to go elsewhere- especially if you are coloring your hair.

Beginning of this summer I had went somewhere else for a bleach because of unforeseen circumstances well my hair GOT DESTROYED!!!! It was completely dead breaking stringy I wanted to cry. I was ready to chop my hair off and get and A line cut Neckar I couldnt even get my fingers through my hair. Well I remembered Sophie telling me about the GK treatment when I was here back in December so I decided to take a leap of faith and book a consultation. She looked at my hair and assured me that I didnt need to cut my hair and it could be saved with the GK. I came back 30 min later and the process began. I was told not to wash my hair for 48 hours after the treatment but I waited 4 days just to be sure. I was still skeptical that Id wash my hair and it would go back to being unmanageable but I was in complete shock!!! Not only did my hair air dry in less than 20 min it was straight soft and silky felt like I never even bleached my hair in the first place. Well let me tell you, Sophie is the best in the biz! Ive been wanting to chop my long waist-length hair and was going to do so around summer time next year, but was feeling impatient and impulsive today. Ive been following their instagram feed and love all of her hair transformations so I text her letting her know my situation.Ive done a lot with my hair in the past, from cutting it shoulder length to coloring it green and purple. So ive never been scared to change up my look, until i considered a pixie-cut. But Sophie reassured me and truly listened to my concerns about the shape and style i was looking for.All in all she did a fantastic job and i am in love with my new haircut!

I normally HATE going to salons due to the fact that most places are not passionate of what they do, but this place is a whole different story. At first you are greeted oh so politely, relaxing, fun music in the background, but the inside oooh the inside is very mesmerising. Chandeliers adorn the sky while having a cozy atmosphere. I only went to get my bangs trimmed, and was very impressed by the result. I am of the picky sort, went to 4 salons before and awful results, but today honestly im left with no words. You can tell the staff knows what they are doing, and in such a polite manner. Im only 12 and dont know much bout hair, what I do know is that, you read this, need to visit this place now!

Don’t trust this place. I was quoted $55 over the phone for color and cut. After driving 40 miles, and 20 min into the coloring process, I was sticked with a paper with $140 for me to sign (See photo) !!! I freaked out!The owner refused to honor or adjust her staff’s quote, saying that I was never mentioned about coloring. I said I don’t know what went wrong between your staff and you, but the first thing I empathized was that I have sensitive scalp, I willbring my own color and I also need to have a hair cut or trim.I received 4 texts while driving down the place with 80 mph asking me if really coming and told me they are to switch the hair dresser. I was not pleased. The owner’s response was, “ You not supposed to drive 80 miles. ”The weird things are they would ask you not only first and last name and email address, also asking you to send a head shot. I said no, I just an old lady with short hair, price range more or less of $55 is ok with me.After a few minutes of argument, there were no signs the owner was willing to do anything different to result the situation or save a new client for rerurn business, until I said I would write reviews.I told them to wash the color off my hair. I paid $55. I walked out of door with wet hair without trim or cut they originally agreed.I will never come back.

I used to go to Marinellos school of beauty to get my hair cut because it was inexpensive and as a college student, it was what i could afford. when they went out of business, i had to find a new salon to go too. i found this gem nestled in downtown upland and decided to give it a try.Yesterday, i went in for a cut and color, completely different from my usual trim. the moment i walked in, i felt welcomed. The owner offered me water or coffee, gave me books of hairstyles and colors to peruse and chatted with me until my hair stylist was ready. My hair stylist, Claudia, is a wonderful young lady. She was very attentive to me, gave her opinion honestly and was very sweet. We chatted as she worked her magic on my head.i was there for about 3 hours but time flew quickly with her and the other girls keeping me company. it was like being surrounded by a bunch of friends.Once my hair was done and i went to pay, it turns out they quoted me more than it actually cost which was wonderful.I will tell you now, it is not inexpensive. For my cut and full color, i paid $155 plus tip. However, the color is a beautiful hue and expertly done, the cut looks fantastic on me and the atmosphere is cozy and comforting.I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for a great place to go and be pampered.I for one, will definitely be back. Do it and you will not regret it.So my sister had been begging me to bring me here because she also get her hair done by these wonderful ladies. I was always scared to let new people touch my hair.Anyway we walked in and we were greeted by sofie and her team and wow I felt like if I had know them my whole life they made me feel so pretty and comfortable and it wasnt that fake Im trying to get your money and get you out type of thing it was so genuine and honestly they are all so nice and talented very please with my Keratin treatment and my hair cut. My hair was like a mix of dreads and hagred from Harry Potter. The treatment made my hair look like new I couldnt believe it Im so in love and the hair cut is so beautiful they really surpassed my expectations.They all did a team effort deal on me it was great lol they all did something different and I loved them all.I walked out feeling like a million bucks ! A day before I had gone to a recommended place who sadly had plulled my hair so much I went home in tears..they got so unpatient with my hair that..I had to stop them mid sesson but Sofia today and her girls helped me !!the were so kind and patient....😘😘😘 I wouldnt recommend any other place ..and Ill always come back to Sofia ^~^ love you girls!thanks again Sofia!😍

Ive been with Hair Secret salon for 2 years now. Sophie and her staff have helped my hair grow and become so healthy. Between trims every 2 months, japenese straightening treatments and GK treatments my natually curly dry hair is now silky and straight right out of the shower! I also won a Dyson blowdryer by entering a raffle at the salon! 😀 I see why its worth $400. BEST BLOWDRYER EVER!

Dont waste your time coming here these people arent professionals. they completely damage my daughters hair, to top it off I had to pay $200 smh!horrible! dont be fooled by the positive reviews they are the reason I gave this place a chance and now my daughters hair is falling out!

Sophie is one of the most genuine people Ive ever met. I have known Sophie for a long time but only recently I had the opportunity to sit in her chair and had an amazing experience with just a hair cut. I went back 4 months later to get my highlights done and had the pleasure of working with Elizabeth who is very talented. I had no idea it was going to take 4-5 hours, I didnt take into consideration how long and thick my hair is( down to the middle of my back). If you dont work in the industry or have never had a blonding or color service that is litteraly the complete opposite of what your current hair looks like then you you are going to be at the salon for a while. Elizabeth communicated the length of time I would be at the salon and I was kind of surprised because I didnt understand what all goes into the process. Time is money and long full thick hair requires a lot of time. I wanted a frosty icy blonde look and I had ashy light brown hair with old grown out highlights. My hair came out beautiful and I was there for 6 hours!Keep in mind all of the prices for the services that are offered at Hair Secret are clearly posted on the salon website. If I hadnt done my research and asked questions I probably would have been a little taken back by what my service costed but my hair was completely transformed and It took 6 hours to get that look! My hair is healthy and beautiful because the Hair Secret team works the process and takes their time with each client.If you have previously colored hair especially BOX COLORED hair and you want a red or blonde transformation be honest with your stylist and communicate that. And you have to ask questions about how much your service is going to cost and how long it will take. Stylists offer a service, they are doing a job just like a mechanic would by changing a tire or doing an oil change. You pay for parts and labor. A stylist uses products like hair color, developer, toner (especially if your are going blonde) shampoo and conditioner and then styling products to complete the service. Add the application of color, the washing, the conditioning, the brushing, the cutting, the drying then checking the cut when its dry to ensure a prescion clean cut. Then the style, curls or flat ironing. All of these things are over looked when its time to pay for a hair service. Getting quality hair care is an INVESTMENT. You want it for cheap you can expect cheap results and unhealthy damaged hair. These ladies survive and live on each and every client service. They take pride in their work and that shows with each their work.At the end of the day when I take all of these things into consideration I will absolutely go back to Hair Secret and get a consultation for every service because I trust that they will take care of my hair and make sure its healthy and strong while I reach my hair goals. Mistakes happen but not taking responsibility for them is inexcusable and poor business practice. Unless they change their customer service policies I would suggest finding a different salon.

Where to begin? I went to get a beach wave hair permanent and ended up with a ugly frizzy mess! I had my hair assessed by two stylist; one named Raquel (who was nice) and then Sophie (who is the owner of the salon). After they both agreed that my hair could manage having the perm done they started on my hair. I ended with something o.k., I didnt feel 100% about it but it looked close enough to what I wanted. When I went home I saw my hair dry and this is when I saw the real mess that was my hair! I tried everything to get it to tame and shape but nothing worked. I went back in to have my hair fixed but it was actually more horrifying experience then the first time around. I was made to sit in the front of the salon while client after client came in and looked at my ugly hair; I felt so humiliated I wanted to run and hide. After Sophie decided she as done on the phone she came over and insulted me by saying that You cannot walk around without product in your hair when I actually had two or more products in my hair that was applied twice in the same day! Then I was told that a cut would help the situation; they took me over, washed my hair and didnt bother to put conditioner in my hair. Yanni began to cut my hair after I told her I have an A line hair cut with the right side longer than the other with no layers. She just started cutting and chopping only taking off 1/2 an inch all around my head, by the time she ended I have about 10-20 layers in my hair with no A line shape at all. They placed 2-3 products in my hair to try and get it to look the way it is supposed to. Sophie constantly trying to have me agree that it looks better and that they did a good job; when reality it looks the same as when I walked in. They tried to blow dry it with this instrument of death but the girl cutting my hair noticed that nothing is helping she went back to cutting. At the end there was no help and my hair looks terrible. I was also told that if I wanted a deep conditioning that it would be $15.95 and when another customer walked in the conditioning was $9.95 for them. WOW!!! I would not recommend you go here EVER! Even if you have to cut your hair with a ROCK just do that! BE warned they are thinking of moving to the Orange County... NOT worth it! I have to cut my hair into a pixie boy cut because my hair is ruined and is beyond repair! I wish they would have told me the truth when I first came in and spared me the drama of having to cut my hair into a dudes cut!!! They ruined my hair twice; when I saw their Facebook and Toni wrote that they ruined her hair twice I should have known I was in for total disappointment! FML! Not to mention that Sophie was talking about Raquel saying that i would have to come in after 2:00PM because she has a kid and she is always late! I mean what kind of business is this!?
