Buyers paradise & sellers nightmare!!You can find (almost) everything you’re looking for slightly used or worn and possibly brand new. I’ve been shopping here since my kids were infants so about 5 years.You can easily spend $100 here just on clothes plus baby equipment. However selling here you’ll get no more than $30 for your items. I tried walking in to sell a bag of items and they wouldn’t even accept it since it was in a plastic bag. I drove all the way here and now i have to find either a cardboard box or container to bring back. It’d be nice if they offered to use one of their boxes and whatever they didn’t purchase to give me back and I can put it in my bag.They make the sellers process more and more difficult over the years. I’m glad they opened a platos closet next door who also buys items I’ll more than likely take my business there.

Lots of nice things at a fraction of the cost, only reason for the 4 star is because of the clutter now dontget me wrong like I sad super clean things but I would recommend looking into a bigger space so you can show off all the other cool stuff waiting to find a spot on the shelf.

Loved the items and selection! Staff was beyond dry. From the moment I walked in. No eye contact. No one offered to help or asked if I needed help. I spent over 300 dollars, one would think I would get a proper thank you have a nice day even if I only spend 5 dollars. Very weird group of ladies to say the least.

Hardly find anything good here, not the greatest selection - a lot of “house clothes”. When selling, they’re picky even though a lot of the clothes sold in there look dingy? Lol so it’s strange how picky they are.I’d highly recommend going to other thrift stores in the area first. I find tons of cute, well-taken care of children’s clothing at Opportunity House for a price easier on the wallet for kids clothes. Even brand name clothes. If you go here to sell clothes I honestly would sell on OfferUp or another app first. I’d rather sell or deal with a neighbor directly than sell thru this company.Customer service severely lacking but not surprised. The girls here don’t even attempt to be welcoming, conversational or kind each time I’ve gone. (3x so far) That doesn’t make me want to spend money or even sell my clothes here.My tip: Try somewhere else first whether you’re buying or selling! This is a last resort place for me to go.

I was super excited to visit this place as I was told good things by a couple of close friends. My daughter had some clothes and toys that she was ready to get rid of, so why not sell it for her to add to her savings.Since this was a first time thing for me, I called before going into the location to make sure that they were currently accepting items. Ive made 4 attempts in a week to come in but they have met their capacity all but 2 of the times I called. For one of the visits, they said they were still accepting items and not more than 30 minutes later... they were no longer accepting items. I drove all the way to Vacaville from Fairfield (not really a big deal) just for them to tell me they met their capacity once I arrived. I was a little agitated as I just got off the phone with one of them... I wish there were a system where they would notify customers if they were nearing their limit for the day. I have a 4 year old and 6 month year old so... coming when they first open is nearly impossible especially since my toddler also has school.Fast forward to the day Im able to finally drop some stuff off. I have my 6 month old strapped onto my body in a baby carrier, backed up into the parking spot directly in front of their entrance. Whilst carrying boxes out of the trunk, into the store, Im ABLE to open the door and carry these boxes with my child strapped onto my body... but it wouldve been a nice gesture for someone to hold the door open. All one of the workers said to me was, do you have more items or is this it?... not one offer to help... which Im sure they did see me outside of the building... since the building has glass doors and window and all.My gut already told me after I brought my first box in... to take my sh*t and leave. But I wanted to give this place a chance since we were trying to get rid of some stuff that someone else maybe able to love. I left two, almost three boxes of GENTLY USED (and when I say that, I mean damn near new. Just missing the tag) items. Most of which were Disney books, Disney toys (with all the pieces, mind you), a couple tummy time mats/activity toys and some name brand clothes, rain boots and so on. I was HOPING to at least get $40-$50 considering the quality and amount of items I brought in. NOPE! I got $32.50 for 25 items and a lot more that they didnt accept. I wish I didnt take the deal and I take full responsibility for the reason that Im writing this review. I shouldve listened to my gut. I honestly think I would feel so much better donating to Savers or Goodwill and not receiving money because at least I wouldve gotten better customer service.I asked for a receipt... hoping to see the breakdown of the items. They said they do not provide receipts... which one of my friends did tell me she has gotten a receipt from selling to them before. I asked how they come up with the amount of how much they pay out and all they said was the computer does all of that... GEEEEE THANKS! And as stated online, they didnt tell me why they didnt accept the other box of items that I brought in. If I could go back and take all of the things back, I would. When I walked around to see if they had anything we could use, some of the things (non clothing items) were priced pretty gnarly for being a consignment store. Im just hoping nobody else get ripped off the way I feel I did. (Someone please do tell me if Im overreacting, lol)I will not be recommending this place to any of my mommy friends unfortunately. Simply because the customer service was sh*t. Had I been given a better experience, maybe I wouldnt feel so guilty bringing my daughters things to this place. And though, its really NOT about the money... $32.50 for 25 quality, gently used items sounds like a joke to me. I wouldve had better luck at a garage sale or something.*I was able to take a photo of the receipt*

I love this place I went and I sold some of my kids clothes and I got like $337 back and before that I got like $60 back you can use it towards a purchase or you can just get the money. the clothes are always in great condition and they have such good prices. like that is my store for life! and I think the customer service is great here. The wait time for the amount of clothes I bring In to sell is very reasonable. The cashier always makes sure to ask if you want to use your points to get money off which I think is amazing cuz sometimes I forget that I even have points

The list of things they DONT take is pretty small and understandable. No stuffed animals and for the most part, they dont like taking battery powered stuff. Obviously they wont take stuff with holes or stains as far as clothes go.The prices for their items is along the lines of Ross prices than say, Walmart prices. But they have a good eye for quality so the prices are worth it.

Good customer service even though I was worried from the reviews! I definitely think they have improved in the past few years. Greeted politely when I entered and felt reassured with the offered help. Also offer to keep things behind register if it’s too much to hold. Love this store and their great sale prices!!

Good place for childrens clothes and other things

Its true, the women who work there need some customer service classes. Im really not there to inconvenience them, I promise. Also, dont create a play area if you dont want kids to play there--or at least keep your snark to yourself. That being said, Im a regular customer and I realize that these are young ladies who do not have the benefit of higher education, and Im really glad they are able to find a job with a local retailer that allows them to support their families. Also, if youre looking to make money from your used clothes, use Craigslist. Ive only sold back what I would have donated, anyway, and its usually less than $10. As for how picky they are about what theyll accept, arent you glad they only took the cream of the crop? It means whatever you purchase there is in excellent condition. In my experience, their prices are usually very reasonable. MUCH better than Goodwills prices on kids clothes, and the condition is far better! Remember, this is a thrift/secondhand store. It aint Macys. Sure, sometimes whether I find anything good is hit-or-miss (especially shoes!), but I am so glad there is a place in town that allows me to keep up with my little growing weeds without breaking the bank.

I just left for my second time in two days. I didnt have the experience previous people did. Both times I went in the employees were very nice. I dont find the place a rip off, somethings are on the pricey side but the majority of things are reasonably priced. When I went in today I bought some organizers for my sons room, one rang up way more then marked but Haley and Stephanie were both very nice and fixed the error with no hesitation. They were both very up beat and friendly which made my experience that much better. I will definitely be returning to this location regularly.

They have nice items for all ages of children although most of the prices are ridiculous, for used items. But you will probably find what you are looking for.

The stores clothing is great and they always have a lot to choose from. This particular store has a good location and the store always seems organized and clean. They are good at what they purchase when I sell to them. I am generally satisfied with what they pay in return for my items.However, I must say that the staff can be a bit rude and cold. I havent experienced this with every staff member there but more then a couple have not given very good customer service and it seems they hate their job.I continue to return because I like the prices and the fact that I get a return on my gently used clothing and toys. If it was based just on my experience with the staff I probably would not return.

Store was very clean and organized. I saw a lot of reviews on rude employees so I was leery. Possible they have all new ones or I just got lucky but when I was in there I had 2 people that were VERY nice to me. Wanted to post a positive review because of them!

For a mom of 4 kids under 5 years old...this place is a GOLD MINE! I got all the summer clothes I needed for all of my kids plus bathing suits for $50! And they do military discount!

The prices are reasonable and they are in a good location. They dont take or sell bigger items which is mostly what i look for. Cribs, toddler beds, car seats. Its mostly smaller items.I like that you can use your discount cards from other locations here because I buy the big items in the Tracy store (they only take tracy card discounts) then go back to the vacaville store for toys and clothes.They are extremely friendly and have helpful staff. I will always return here.

I shop here just for a few things here and there because they have a big selection, but i would never again sell my things here. I would rather go some where that will give me a higher price for the things i bring in. Im a little upset that there high demands for things are just way out of line. The store itself is nice but if your looking to sell your items id go somewere that will definetly give you a better deal.

I would give zero if I could, the blantly lie about all the pieces of a toy being there. I purchased a toy for my sons birthday is shook me all the parts are there I took it home and of course none of the parts were there completely unusable. Stuck without a present for my son on his birthday and not feeling like spending an hour and 15 minutes in the car back and forth to go and exchange it within their 7-Day policy. I would do business elsewhere.

I find great stuff here for my 2 granddaughters...Theyre a lil picky on their intakes.I think though that the employees should have a dress code...just saying..

The girls that work there are very rude!! Before you even say anything they give you attitude, they buy and sell childrens clothing and toys for goodness sake! ! How awful must working there be? You can tell they are not happy and have very bad customer service! !!!!!

Not the best employees because they r rude. Ive litteraly heard them talking about parents shopping, its rude and makes me think about what they most be saying about me struggling with my 1 and 2 year old boys.... Very uncomfortable. Also they say they offer 50% of what they sell for but I have never seen the honor that!!

This store is by far a joke and I not only know this as a customer but as a recent employer. The manager sure has a way of picking his employees. The girls there are very rude and since they basically are all friends, they stick together and arent really welcoming of new employees. This by far makes your job very uncomfortable. I had an assistant manager take me back into the office one day and yell at me while using curse words.As a customer, they sure do treat me very poorly and I dont know if that is because I was a former employee or what but every time no matter how big or small my item is that I take in, (even when they dont have other stuff to look over to buy) they tell me my wait time is 30 mins. I recently brought in a bassinet to try and sell for a neighbor and they wanted to give her 24$. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. She hadnt even used it and they were going to turn around and sell it for 70+! Such a rip off. One of the customers told me to tell her to try craigslist and she already sold it for 100$.I will for sure never be going back to this store as they are clearly rude, snotty and not to mention ripping the community off!
