I went to here because I needed an oil change. They told me I needed to have maintenance work done which was well over $2,000. They had printed out a paper that had 9 things that “needed to be done”. I didn’t do anything because I know someone else that can do it and I wanted a second opinion if I was going to pay that much money. 5 of the things they said needed to be done were lifetime things maybe doing at 500,000 miles. They said I needed new cabin and air filters and had a video saying it too. Looked at it pretty much clean, little gray but still very much useable. The advisor was pretty good except he took advantage of me not knowing anything but luckily there’s good people at other dealerships that won’t try to pry on you. Honestly even the car wash they did was horrible too. It’s free but my car did not look like it was washed at all, looked like more dirt was rubbed around and left horrible water marks so I went to get an actual wash.

I had an excellent experience purchasing a used CRV from Diamond at the Acura side of the dealership. I am so grateful he found the spare key after the purchase and even happier that they provided the programming when it was found that was needed. I was treated as well as I would ha e expected buying a new Acura even though that is not where I am at currently. Will definitely look to this dealership in the future based in this experience!

Yvonne was great, very detail oriented and easy to talk to. The most important quality I liked about her was that she wasn’t “pushy”, not trying to outsmart the clients ever and extremely respectful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. To minimize contact they do a video inspection to show you service they recommend. Pretty much completely contactless in the service department. The facility is spacious and very clean. I highly recommend!
They have the best staff, both consultants and technicians. The service consultants are all well informed and let you know the recommended service procedures and explain things thoroughly. Ive always brought my 2015 Subaru Outback to them for service and never regretted that decision. Thats a statement that I cant make for any previous model car that Ive owned. People often state that you shouldnt get your car serviced by the dealer, but if thats true than White Bear Subaru is the exception to that rule.

I have been a loyal service/maintenance customer for several years now. No problem s with service at all. Very thorough and expeditious.My singular issue is over service coupons. I asked specifically for a oil change discount as we have two Outbacks and we service per schedule.Well, they gave me an $10 discount and upon return home and checking their website: A better coupon was available. So shot me if I did not look prior to service, but after asking they could offer the best price to best customers!
I enjoyed being a part of the Subaru family. I purchased my first brand new, never used, car from here and everything went well and smoothly! The care you get from the sales people were above and beyond! But once I started to take my car in for maintenance, it went downhill. When my gearbox started acting funny, I had had my car checked out for the last 3 years Ive had it and I was told it wasnt anything. Yet the day my warranty expired, I was then told it was actually the gearbox and it was a big hefty bill :/ Only then, my Subaru was taken seriously. Unfortunately because of this reason, I choose to leave the Subaru family. So yes! Definitely buy a Subaru from here! The sales team is amazing! But maybe go elsewhere for service. Maybe theyll actually listen.
I was not happy with the Service Department in the three visits it took me to fix a broken gas door on my new car. No one seemed to care or know how to trouble shoot a loose wire. Im still getting calls about a part they ordered that I did not need. Im going to the Bloomington Suburu now. Much better service.

This is my fifth Subaru. Four of them Ive purchased from White Bear Subaru, and more than 90% of the service Ive had done at White Bear. My most recent experience was typical of my time with them. I brought the car in for an oil change and tire rotation, and was out the door an hour later with a fully inspected and reviewed car done to my specifications. I worked with several of the staff there, and have always found them excellent communicators, people of integrity who do the work right.

We have had 17 new cars, the last two being Subaru Outback Touring from White Bear Subaru. Hands down the best dealership experience across the board. Sales process is smooth and not intimidating. Service department is excellent. No negatives.This has little to do with Subaru, but the chip/car shortage was weird to work within. Pay MSRP, or move over and the person behind you gladly will. WBL Subaru is getting like 15%-20% of their normal monthly car allotment. Costco membership gets you $500. I also got a new credit card and will receive a $500 statement credit after satisfying the initial spend via the Outback. Thats all I got though...
I recently leased a new 2021 Subaru Forester from White Bear Subaru. My sales consultant, Moe, was extremely helpful all through the process of trading in my 2014 Forester and presenting all of the information I needed to make my decision; the process was pretty much seamless! I purchased my 2014 Forester from this dealership in 2013 and have been very satisfied with the maintenance and service from them over the past eight years.
It was a great experience right from the start. At no time did we feel any pressure or intimidation to purchase. From the manager, sales associate, to the finance person, all were very polite and helpful. My wife, and I felt very comfortable.
I found White Bear Subaru a pleasant place to purchase a car. The car was purchased for my wife. It was one she especially liked. And it was only in inventory a couple of days. Service staff were very friendly and fast. They washed my car and cleaned the floor mats as well without being requested, that was a nice surprise. The reason for four stars is that I requested a front and rear differential flush and she quoted only the front differential, so it wasnt a great feeling when I had to pay about 110 dollars more than I expected. Make sure they clarify that beforehand and youre on the same page, other than that my experience at the dealership was excellent

I had to drop my car for a recall. I was pleased that my loaner for the day was ready to go and they got me going in a timely manner. As far as I know, the recall has been remedied. I have been consistently disappointed with the offer to wash my car every time I bring it in. Sometimes it doesn’t get done at all. This time my car looked worse than when I dropped it. Full of water spots as well as not looking like they put any effort in at all. Please don’t offer a service if there is no intention of doing a good job.
Ive added on the under rust coat and 3M film on to my new Subaru Forester. My car is the 3rd car that my family have bought from this dealership this year. The Dealer services were wonderful, however the services was a bit disappointing. When we took our last two cars in for the Rust protection works, we were given loaner cars which was expected to be brought back with the same amount of gas we left in, but ours were not brought back with the same courtesy. Since the coating had to be done off site and our cars had to be driven to it and back, I just expect the same courtesy as they expect us to return the loaner car.BTW, the rust protection and 3M films were as expected. The jobs was well done. The service... a bit disappointed.
Went in for an oil change and tire rotation by appointment. Found it needed an alignment so we added that also. Work was done well and we were there about 2 1/2 hours total. Nice staff and they always do good work!

I had an appointment for an oil change which was done very quickly. While I was there Kevin asked me if there was anything he could help me with so I explained a problem I was having with my Android Auto (A problem I created by deleting something). He tenaciously worked on it until it was fixed. This was over-and-above customer service!! Thanks Kevin. This is my 3rd Outback and Ive gotten them all at White Bear because of this.

I didn’t buy my Subaru from this dealer, but I bring it there for service on warranty/recall work. They have been super friendly, easy to schedule with, have always had loaner cars, and have done thorough work. I have a mechanic that I know personally, otherwise I would be confident to go to them for all my vehicle needs.

The team at White Bear Acura (Acura/Subaru) makes scheduling service easy and keeps me informed. They just added video recording of the service being performed, from mechanics view, showing service areas and results. Scheduling is very easy online and the advisor keeps me informed. My Acura has been very low maintenance (5 years old and 68K mi) and great to drive. My husband also recently bought an Acura at my suggestion he at least test drive one, when he was ready to give up his pickup truck.
As always my experience at White Bear Subaru was excellent. They got the work done within the timeline originally stated and their level of positive customer engagement was superb.
I felt like each time I talked to a new person about my repair none of them looked at the notes or knew what was going on. Something like that makes you lose confidence that they are taking care of you. I just bought my first Subaru from them and was excited until I got home with it and it started having problems immediately. They did make the repairs and gave me a nice courtesy car for a week while the repairs were done. I just expected more from such a nice looking dealership.

We decided to get a second car, and after leasing four Subaru Outbacks (3 year leases) we got a 2022 Legacy XT. We worked with Sam Basho, whom we have worked with before several times. While we did have to wait exactly one month for the new car to arrive, we feel fortunate that it was only that long. When we started, they did not have any of the Legacy XT models, which have the 2.4 liter turbocharged engine, on their lot. But Sam let us test drive a different Legacy with the standard 2.5 liter engine, just to get some sense of the ride. Quite different when youve been driving Outbacks for ten years. Then he let us take one of the Ascents out for a drive. They come standard with the 2.4 liter turbo, and even in that larger vehicle, we really noticed the difference in power. That was sufficient for us to put money down on the Legacy XT and wait for it. We just picked it up last Monday, and while the paperwork still took about two hours, that was not much of a problem considering that wed waited a month. Sam took the time to show us the systems. Many were similar to those in our 2019 Outback 3.6R, but some were different and there are some new features. We still havent got them all figured out, but we are certain that we can call or drop by White Bear Subaru and get assistance. A very, very nice experience overall. Steve

I have had mostly great experiences here. 4 stars because a service was recommended, but It was not explained that I would need a diagnosis, so now have had to come in 2 separate times to get work done on my vehicle.
This dealership really tries to nickel and dime their customers and makes working with them a headache.When I bought my car here initially, they tried to sell me my car for more than market value and told me they’d lose money if they sold it for less. I knew this was a lie because my friend had bought the exact same vehicle at a neighboring dealership for much lower with no trouble. When I told them that and that I would be going to that dealership instead, the salesman all of a sudden was able to sell for that price and was no longer losing money? It seemed very dishonest and gave me a bad feeling because the salesman was telling a lie and trying to pressure me into the sale.As for service, be aware that not all dealerships charge the same amount. This dealership charges more than others for the same service. They also told me to come in 1,000 miles earlier than I needed to on the reminder sticker, and when I checked the maintenance schedule and questioned this, I was told that they do this so you don’t forget? This does not seem honest and they did not make this clear until I asked. On top of that, it seems they don’t even check to see if your car needs a service before telling you to get it.I get that all dealerships will try to ‘sell’ but this dealership takes it too far. I will be going to a different location even it’s a farther drive.
I bought a used car from this dealership and on the drive home the exhaust breaks off and was dragging on the street. Made a few calls to the dealership and no one did anything. Would not recommend buying from this dealership.

This was on a used car which is at the White Bear Acura dealership.Our sales person was great and I can’t say enough about how he went out of his way to ensure we were happy.However, when it came to the finance guy it was a terrible experience. He was very evasive and condescending in answering questions (he wouldn’t even tell me the price of the extended warranty and basically told me to do the math.) He came in with a 72 month loan with a 5.99% interest rate and wouldn’t do the work to possibly find a better rate. He just said to make extra payments to pay it off. I left the dealership embittered and it put a damper on my excitement about my car.
Terrible experience. Do not recommend unless you want to pay top dollar for poor service, misleading information and ridiculous wait times.
I had made an appointment to bring in my Subaru ...when I got there they treated me like it didnt matter if I had an appointment.Luckily, Donovan, the general manager at least in the service department anyway saw that I was standing there and not looking very pleased... He then stepped in and took care of me the way I should have been taken care of in the 1st place... For that reason in that reason alone I am giving a 5 star review... Bought a new Subaru Legacy last night. I worked with such an awesome salesman, Shea. He was so knowledgeable, he worked with me and helped me get where i wanted to be with my trade in and payments. All in all, great experience. I didn’t work with a single person during my buying experience that wasn’t lovely.
***UPDATE*** Donovan was able to help find out what the issue was and helped to resolve it. Always appreciate when an attempt is made to right a wrong.Going in for service due to a recall is never ideal, but the appointment started off well with the person offering a car wash once the service was done. When the car work was completed, I got the keys to the car and found the car had not been washed (there was still dust on the front and rear windshields, and some mud on the side).Once I was halfway home, I realized they had left a flash drive in the car still plugged in, presumably to test the car. Returning to the dealership, I walked back in, brought the flash drive back and took the opportunity to mention the car was not washed. That prompted a response of Oh, sorry about that without even offering to run it through their car wash quickly.
Peng was very polite and prompt in communicating with me about service for my vehicle. Everything was done right and quickly. I was very satisfied.
Jake Buckles was my service advisor for a repair on my Acura TSX. He and the team took my car in early made sure I understood the process and details. The service was done very quickly and I received a text message letting me know it was ready, along with a video in my email of a complete walkthrough of my vehicle. After completing my repair, they completed a check of all other necessary components for free. It was excellent service, and Im glad I was able to get my car repaired over the weekend. Thank you

I had a scheduled appt for an oil change. After a 2 hour + wait I was then informed that I needed multiple general services. I agreed to the extra work to be performed (get this over and done please!) My ordeal was a 3 hour plus frustration. If I would of known I would have reserved a loaner. I have been a loyal customer since 2008 but, this appt was a complete frustration!
