I got my storage unit at the end of July of 2021. The price including tax was $107 as it was the smallest unit offered. It is now the end of October and they bumped up the cost to $154 a month including taxes. When I called about the increases the person that I spoke to was rude insisted that its a cost of living increase (within 3 months) and then told me that if I dont like it I should leave.Im definitely leaving but be aware that your storage unit is going to be weaponized against you to keep increasing costs while all of your stuff is there.

As an early adopter of Xrp I travel cross country multiple times a year, it’s satisfying to know that I can trust this storage facility with my personal belongings for long periods of time. Local, great rates and a friendly staff. All my questions were answered by a gentleman named Kevon I believe. I’ll be doing business with this company in the near future. Have a great day.

The staff is always there to help with whatever I needed… when I first started shopping for storage, I chose Extra Space because they were very courteous and walked me thru the facility which goes miles because not many places do such thing. Excellent location and always available!

The Extra Space Storage facility members that are located in Valley Stream, New York have always been extremely helpful. Always available, return phones calls and helpful when in person. Even with this global pandemic they’ve remained consistent in helping their customers! Whenever I’m there it’s always clean and presentable. I have had a my storage unit for a couple months now and I came in today to just inquire about how much more would it be a to have a bigger space and Vanessa was kind enough to show me the options I have today. She was very professional with the way she carried herself and was able to convince me to upgrade to a bigger unit. She explained all the details of how much money it’s going to be of a difference and that is why I was able to feel comfortable and confident enough to make the switch without feeling pressured or lied too. Very good customer service. We just moved out, needed a place to store some couches and dressers ect. Got at 10x8 pretty good prices and large space. Yolanda was the associate we worked with. Shes very helpful and explained everything. You can pull your truck up to the gate, they have hand trucks/carts for you to load your stuff onto. No more spinecracking from lifting. Security was tight, everything has cameras and you get a personal code. I love thatThey made my job so easy at the end of the day, I couldnt be happier! THANKS EXTRA SPRACE STORAGE!!!!!!

Needed 2 locks cut and the ladys that work there, Denise, Yolanda went out of there way to try cuting with bolt cutters and the locks were too big so they put a new blade on there grinder and worked hard to get 2 locks cut off and saved me time and money. Overall, Ive enjoyed my experience at Extra Space Storage Valley Stream at 270 W Merrick Rd. The facility is kept clean and the staff is helpful with billing questions and making sure there are carts available to move your stuff from car to unit. Since Covid-19 hit they have also been very careful to make sure there is only one person in the office at a time and sanitizer available. I recommend using them for storage needs.

Hello, today is December 15, 2020 and I am so upset that my unit was SOLD! with out notice and two months past due even though I went in on November 24, 2020 at the valley stream location and requested them give me a printed bill to give the HRA worker for the city to help assist with my bill because my work hours was cut and explained that to them. HRA reached out to them to pay the past due and current bill and was rejected. I called the location and yet to talk to a manager or even a text message. There was also a bill passed by the governor called the Self Storage Act that protected me and my unit it was not enough in theses trying times. I will be seeking legal representation in this matter.I have been with this storage place before the pandemic and their service stinks!!!!!!! I would never recommend them to anyone!! After six days your unit is locked if not paid on the day it’s due with no exception even if you don’t have a pass due balance and your payday don’t fall the week your due date! This is terrible especially during these hard times and no work, some people is depending on unemployment to survive in this pandemic and for them to act like the police with your property is unacceptable.Please if you read this take your belongings to another storage unit that works with you and deserves you hard earned money!!!!

I had a very touching experience. I stored my items for 8 months and had to leave abruptly due to an outside issue. The issue prevented me from moving on the last day and the staff was so considerate they extended my move one extra day and waived the additional expenses. During my stay at the Valley Stream branch I always enjoyed my encounter with the staff and while using the facility. If there is an issue the staff is attentive and resolves your concerns. I will miss the facility, and the staff very, very much, they are like family to me and my daughter. At first the reason I chose Valley Stream was for its close proximity that made it convenient, but the reason why I stayed for as long as I did was for the respect that was shown to my daughter and I, no matter what. The staff that always helped me was Brianna, Tom and Kevin.

This facility is very well run and efficient. Within 10 seconds of having made an online reservation I was already receiving a call from manager Kevon. Employees had a great attitude and were very helpful by being flexible with a special request I had. Highly recommend it

I reached “ Carl” at the call center who was polite but less than upfront ( pricing)& less than helpful ( size options).However, once I spoke to Valley Stream NY location Manager Kevon, my entire experience changed. He was thoughtful, thorough & polite.
