Very GOOD Customer service & reasonable price compare Home depot. Especially the knowledgeables staff (Marty). Thanks to him to explained & arranged everything you need on your project. This is something Home depot staffs lacking of. Home depot is a Grab & Go store just like 7-11. The staffs there are not knowledgeable & the price is slightly higher because of its HUGE Marketing. But if you have Shurway delivery, then its a bit points off. Because they WONT call you if your order either is running late or rescheduled. You could ended up waiting for them all day for No Show. Call them if you dont see your ordered if 2 hours past you window scheduled.

Dan is amazing! We came in not knowing exactly what we needed nor what we were doing. He took the time to listen to our idea & walk us thru the process. Im a interior trim carpentry contractor. And recently Ive started taking on remodel projects, before I used to go to the big box stores and believe me I still do for tools. But never again will I go anywhere else for the materials I need. The process is quick and easy. They help you load up and if you bought too much material they let you return it but they gotta inspect it to make sure its damaged in any way. My new favorite store

Absolutely do not buy shingles especially the seconds from this place we had to Rip all these shingles off and Redue the house.The shingles were four or five different colors that my singular didn’t catch at first.We had to rip the whole roof off and redo it with other A grade shingles it cost me about $5000When I purchased the second grade shingles from Shur-Way they assured me that the full pallet was estate gray and it was not. They also told me they would take care of me for the $1700 I paid for the shingles and then $2500 additional to have it ripped off and re-done when it came down to it they gave me $184 in cash.

Ive been a Shurway customer for over 20 years. The guys there are very knowledgeable, and I would recommend anyone to check this yard out. From decks to fences, cabinetry hardware, plywood veneers and hardwoods, and millwork... Excellent!

This is pretty good four stars only because I’ve been coming here a lot. Service has been good and experience of the staff is good also, except today when one of the staff members was getting sidetracked three times at the counter ready to order and pay.He was distracted three times by talking to other members of the staff with some particular problem. I understand that happens but try to remember, a paying customer is standing in front of you and they should be served first.If there is a problem that they can’t ignore, respectful thing would be to let the customer know that I’ll get right back to you after they saw the problem.The same thing happens sometimes when you’re trying to pay and somebody calls on the phone and they start taking their order or talking to that customer on the phone although you’re at the store right in front of them.

They will even cut your wood to your specs at no extra charge, which is handy when I need a 4x4 cut. Been going here for over 30 years and no complaints from me. Check them out!

Bought 4 b4 by 8 and as soon as i built the swing, 2 of them split in the middle within a week! They say they have no control of the quality of their wood. I recommend nd Dunns Lumber or MrPlywood!Also Shur-way staff kept lowering their mask with 3 distance from co-workers when talking.

Shurway has all winners from Keith, Don and the two contractors they referred. Life Style decks Brent, CustomCutt carpentry. Both were of great help. We chose CustomCutt and we are very happy. The precision work on the railing was perfect could not be better.

Service is exceptional, and they are always willing to help you find what you need for your building or home improvement project. Unlike the big box stores, they wont run when they see you coming! Prices can be a bit higher on some items, but they make up for it with customer service.

I needed some 2 x 4s and other wood for a project. I honestly dreaded going to HD, as I knew Id have to manually pick thru a bin of 2 bys to find anything decent and even then it would be a compromise, and then load a cart, go to checkout then load my vehicle...ugh..I searched local lumber yards and found Shurway and decided to check them out. The experience was like nite and day...The desk quickly took my order then directed me to the yard to pick up the lumber. I waited a very few minutes, the guys pulled my order, and helped me load my vehicle...wow...and the prices were a bit better than HD and the lumber was straight and very little flaws. Very friendly, great service, and I will never buy my wood from HD again...never.

It seems like nothing in my day was going my way until I walked into Shurway. This was my first time to this business, and I probably walked in with the biggest scowl on my face. I needed something small and insignificant, but I wasnt treated that way! I was helped promptly and everyone I met was friendly and courteous. This visit turned my day around for the better and I wish I could give more than just this 5-star review in exchange for what I can only assume is the natural way they conduct themselves. I will most definitely return to this business in the future for all my needs - I am completely blown away!

Always very professional and helpful. Dont have to wait are usually quick to load your materials up for you. I use them exclusively if I know they carry it, sometimes have to go to Lowes to pick up things they dont carry these guys are great.

Long wait at contractors desk and not a whole lot of experience out in the yard. My fork lift yard guy had to get off 4 times to adjust load before it got to me.

I went in to Shur-way today with plans and a supplies list for a laundry room table. Philip redesigned the table in a way that will make it easier to build. Great place for the contractor or home owner and dyi yard projects. They have a large selection of plywood for cabinetry and some exotic woods that you wont find in other stores locally. They are a family owned business. They have now started selling landscape material such as bark dust and rock.

Just talked to Luke to ask if they carried 12 pressure treated 6x6s. Lovely, positive sounding man told me they carried them and quickly looked up price without even needing to ask him.Id first called Home Depot just to ask if they had 12 PT 6x6s. The sleepy sounding mush-mouth seemed annoyed that I had to ask several times what he said. Something something something only garden, blah blah blah dont need... to eventually determine the answer was no. They carry a few eight footers in the garden department.Alas, my sweetie was already loading some for me at the Missoula Home Depot. Dang! Next time, its Shur Way!

On September 27, 2017, I called Shur-way and asked if they had two 18 ft. Elite Decking manufactured by Exterior Wood Co., Washougal, Washington. I needed the lumber to finish my deck. The sales person taking the call checked and said they did not have any 18 ft. but have some 20 ft. Elite Decking I told the sales person to hold two 20 ft. and said I would be there to pick them up. I drove from my house on Livingston Mt. to Shur-way. When I arrived at 4:00 pm and asked about the Elite Decking, another sales person checked and said they were all sold out. I said there were two set aside for me. He said that was a mistake. I said I drove all the way from Camas. I was upset and said I would not shop at Shur-way again. I then left and drove home

Even with a reciept they wouldnt take back 5 unopened boxes of nails or exchange them. I have spent thousands of dollars there and now I will no longer do business with them over 40 dollars of bad customer service.
