These folks are so great! A pleasure to deal with, reasonable quotes, and they do a great job. They just replaced an old port window for us that had been hidden for years until we replaced the siding last summer and uncovered it. The wood in the window underneath was rotten and couldnt be saved. They replaced it with this beautiful new Milgard window. We absolutely love it. Once we paint the trim white itll be perfect! Hoping to have a sliding glass door put into our office later this year to give us direct access to the backyard, and if Henderson & Daughter are available, I will definitely hire them to do it.

Working with them to have our door and window replaced was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. They made the process so much less stressful and the product is so high quality. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

We had our front door replaced recently, and Henderson & Daughter did a fantastic job both during the sales process and the installation. The salesperson, Ken, came armed with several product catalogs and talked us through all of the things we needed to consider when selecting a door / glass finish / hardware. They came back with a competitive offer within 24 hours, but indicated that the door would not be available until September. Lo and behold, we got a call in mid-July that the door was available and they could install it 2 days later! Installation was smooth and we love our new door. Would work with them again in a heartbeat.

Henderson & Daughter’s crew just completed replacing the double hung and living room windows on our Lincoln neighborhood house which was built in 1943. They worked one room at a rime and replaced the blinds and curtains before moving on to the next room. They wore masks and booties and were always ready to answer questions. We had our back sliding door replaced 3 years ago. Our handle quit working, it wouldn’t lock. I called them, and they had a technician out and the handle fixed with in two hours. I love the customer service, I would strongly recommend them to anyone.

Henderson & Daughter by far is one of the best companies I have worked with. When I initially reached out for a quote I received a response within hours and had Debbie scheduled to do a site visit within a couple of days. Debbie did not push a hard sale, there was no pressure to buy, and you could tell her only interest was to make sure we understood what products they had to offer and how they could help us. We were very happy with the initial meeting that we decided to use their service for our window replacement. Each step of the way Debbie was very easy to communicate with. She took her time with us explaining the pros and cons of each window type, helped us vision a new look to our home, and answered every question we had about the process. Debbie was absolutely amazing to work with. When it came time to install the team did a wonderful job. They were quick, attentive to the surroundings and very clean/tidy. We were very impressed with Henderson & Daughter from start to finish.

Once we talked over our ideas with Ken we felt confident and our anxieties over the project were put aside. His input was so helpful explaining how each of our idea would come together. This assisted us in our decision making and it was a bonus that their bid was right in the same ballpark as other we received. The install crew were courteous, professional, and so caring of our home and yard. We had some windows replaced and larger ones put in on 4 walls and therefore siding and trim on the outside, and trim on the inside needed to be redone. Their workmanship is excellent, our windows look so beautiful. Everyone from Ken who came out first to the ladies in the office who helped us complete our transaction and registered our warranties were excellent to work with.

Best place ever to get windows

I would definitely recommend Henderson & Daughter for their knowledge, expertise, professionalism and quality products. We realized we needed to replace the windows in our bedroom after the first night in our new house. Airplanes taking off from PDX were severely disrupting our sleep. I thoroughly researched window companies and came up with the top two. The second company I called said they wouldn’t guarantee any improvement in soundproofing because we already had double-pane Milgard windows. Luckily Debby from H & D knows her products and has a great eye for detail. Four of the windows we were replacing had sliding windows on the lower half. Debby pointed out that the existing bar dividing the sliding glass portion from the top section was at eye level and was cutting our view in half. I never would have thought of that, but she was absolutely right! She walked us through all the options on the best soundproofing and solar blocking options. We already had double-pane, so we went with double-pane with laminated glass. We also needed to replace a door and Debby was able to find the perfect match to our existing doors. The entire process with Debby was wonderful. She fielded numerous questions, consulted with Milgard on some of them, and gave us options and recommendations. The installation went smoothly with Joel and his team. They were all business and got eight windows plus a sliding glass door installed right before the winter storm. The improvement in soundproofing is significant! They came back the next day to install the door and once again took the time to lay down padding, put up plastic sheeting and meticulously clean up. I sent Debby a text telling her how happy we were and also asked for a recommendation on a company to install some skylights. She told me they install skylights and I was thrilled! I knew we would be working with them again, I just didn’t realize how soon.

This time last year I contracted with H&D after getting quotes from several other vendors. H&D was not the least expensive, however, I believe you get what you pay for and the fact that H&D has a great reputation was of course another qualifier. Trudy, one of their reps was knowledgeable, professional always available and a pleasure to work with. Mike came to do a final measurement of my windows, but also answered my questions about the installation process. Josh and his assistant performed the installation. They were on-time every day (I had 20 windows) They performed clean work and hauled away all of my old windows and any debris created. I was impressed how well they worked together and how well they crafted the window trim and the neat caulking job. (Im very fussy).There were a few hiccups, but H&D stood behind their product and made sure everything was perfect and as ordered. I have been delighted with my new windows, their protective and insulating value and how beautifully they have updated my home. Oh, I didnt mention H&D also submitted all of the paperwork for the PUD weatherization rebate. Yeah!

Wendy was a delight to work with and Josh and Marshall made the installation process seem as easy as it was fast. They left things in far better shape than when they arrived.

We got our windows!My husband and I stopped by to check out their showroom and windows. They were very knowledgeable. We still have to have their estimator come out and see our house and what we need.We were very pleased with our experience. I will update after we get our windows.We had windows installed for the whole house. Our house was built in the 1940s so we had single pane wood windows. They replaced those with double pane. They look beautiful and keep out noise and the weather a lot more than our old windows.The installers had to do some replacing of framing on basement windows due to dry rot.They did a great job, quick and left us with sparkling windows.I highly recommend Henderson and daughter.

We chose H+D to replace all of the windows in our never-updated 1960s house. They did an amazing job! I almost cried they look so good. From start to finish, it was a very smooth process. Mike Flood came out multiple times to go over options, and was very easy to work with. When Shane and Josh came out to do the work, they were efficient, and explained all the steps to us. We are so happy we chose Henderson and Daughter to work with, and will be calling them to replace our doors when we are ready for that project!

A nice lady from Henderson and Daughter stopped by for an estimate. We discussed what we had, what we were up to, and what they could provide. We were actually looking for a slab, and they just do full installs since its all they can guarantee against any issues from the elements. The lady however was very nice and provided some references and information to proceed on our way.Were still shopping around for what we will do, but I must say the honest and straight forward nature of Henderson & Daughter has us strongly considering going with them, even if a full jamb replacement will cost more than just doing a door slab.

Brian Helsing of Henderson & Daughter Windows was the absolute best to work with when ordering our Marvin windows. Our window project was complex, and required additional measurements, discussions with our contractor and crew, as well as discussions about preferences, etc. with my husband and I as the homeowners. Brian took all of that on with a friendly, businesslike, no-nonsense approach that was refreshing. He provided absolutely excellent customer service. At all times, we felt that our needs as the customer were considered above all else, which allowed us to feel complete confidence in him and in our window project. Henderson & Daughter replaced the final 3 old aluminum windows on my home. I called them because of the positive reviews. Thea & Mike showed up on time for the initial estimate. They measured the windows and calculated the cost which was very reasonable. The next day another person came and measured the windows again. I got a call when the windows were ordered and given a time and day for installation. The installers showed up on time doing a very professional job. They cleaned up after themselves and hauled away all the mess. I was contacted just a few days later to see if I was a happy customer. I am a happy customer and highly recommend this company. Great customer service with friendly people who always kept me in the know regarding schedules for my window install. Great company and people to work with.

We had our entire homes windows done by Henderson & Daughter back in 2009 & 2010. They are an outstanding company to work with and offered fair prices. What Ive enjoyed most of all is that even years later, I can call them and they will respond to my requests/concerns and have helped us on more than one occasion with small details that were caused by weather or just time. You just dont get outstanding service like this anymore. Great team of people and great products. I highly recommend.

Sadly, I need to write a negative review. I decided to employ this company to replace two small windows with two larger ones on the basis of their good reputation. This was in spite of the fact that their quote was higher than others, because I wanted a good job done that I wouldnt have to worry about. I am nearly 78 years old and my do-it-yourself days are long gone. I didnt mind that they had a lead time of several months between signing a contract and actually doing the job, or that the price was double another quote, because, well, I was willing to pay for good service. What a disappointment! When the sales rep gave me the quote, he assured me that everything would be done professionally, with the exception that the company does not do painting. With a relatively small amount of painting anticipated, I agreed to this. When this job was finished, there was bare drywall around the windows needing taping and finishing before it could be painted. Just as bad, if not worse, my entire house was filthy with plaster dust. When I had asked the installers about putting up something to protect the house from getting dirty shortly after they arrived, the foreman implied that I was unreasonable, and said I could cover my furniture with my bedsheets if I was concerned. I used about 10 sheets to cover what I could in the room, but I couldnt cover the entire house. I called the company to complain, and received an apology about the mess, and an offer to do the taping in compensation. During that conversation the handwritten sentence on the contract saying that taping and finishing sheetrock was not included in the contract was pointed out. This was nearly illegible, and had not been mentioned by the sales rep. I would not have agreed to a contract where I was going to have to hire another contractor to finish the job, so I feel I was misled there. The person they sent to do the taping and finishing was at least polite, but removing the masking he had sprayed over before I could paint has been another job taking more hours. So far I love my new windows, but a month on I am still cleaning. I have spent days washing sheets, filled my vacuum cleaner at least ten times, and washed the bare parts of the floors throughout the whole house repeatedly. I have had to clean furniture in the immediate area as many as five times as the dust keeps settling out.

She listened, offered ideas and suggestions.. and made me feel comfortable.Marley was great with scheduling, and following up.And the installation was smooth, and painless.Id absolutely, 100%, recommend them. Shop around, you will not be treated as well anywhere else. I promise you that!

I had heard the radio ads for Henderson and Daughter for some time and knew that when it came time to needing their services I would contact them. My husband and I went to their showroom in Vancouver, WA where we met Trudy who later came to our home to show us several choices in French doors and did the initial measurements. The installers showed up on time, were courteous and very efficient. Upon completion of the job, they also cleaned up the work area, which impressed me as I am very fussy. A few months later, we had them back out to install our second French door. Would highly recommend Henderson and Daughter to anyone looking for quality, professionalism and excellent customer service.

Henderson and Daughter are fabulous!! Trudy came and gave us an estimate and couldnt have been more friendly, but not pushy. Harvey came soon after to check the measurements and then ordered the doors. Jeff and Kyle came several weeks later; actually today, and installed our gorgeous new doors!! We are so happy and highly recommend Henderson & Daughter for a great buying experience.

I was quite pleased with the total service provided by the team. The sales representative showed up on time and gave us several options. One of which fit our needs and budget. A second individual came by to check the measurements. A person from the office called us to set up the installation. The installer and assistant did a clean and professional install.

We had another company come in for a free inspection of our windows and give us an outrageous quote. We were looking for more energy efficient windows so did some research and found Henderson and Daughter. They came and gave us a quote and werent at all high pressure like the other company was. They explained how the windows would be installed so we could understand (we have vinyl siding so there are some special considerations for that to maintain the integrity of the siding). Made good suggestions like having an awning type window in our master that has vaulted ceilings instead of picture window at the top of the very tall sliding window to help us vent heat from that room. The installers were very unobtrusive as they worked and always very polite and respectful of our house and our family. Price was very reasonable. Definitely a business with integrity. So all in all an excellent value. Had a co-worker who used them also and had the same experience.

These guys are most expensive and somewhat arrogant. They send salesmen to sell you a big package of goods - they include stuff you dont need or ask them for.They leave out stuff you tell them you want. The whole idea for them is to create a big job with a huge invoice price and then get you to finance it

This is the place to go for your window screens, I took in some old screens and measured the rest . They said 2 weeks and they gave me an exact $ amount . I got the screens that fit perfectly (except 1,that they resized in the store in 5 minutes) In 1 day! and for the price they said ! I did my research and Home Depot or Lowes have the screens at about the same cost but not the same quality. Read the reviews !!! Henderson and daughters is the best way to go by far!! They are also Dog friendly so your hound can come in and visit instead of waiting in the hot car! I love these guys! Thank You

The salesman Paul was amazing and very responsive and answered all our questions. The crew that showed up was amazing and very helpful. The windows look great and they just did an amazing job. Josh as crew leader was great.

We debated between wood windows and another type of window, and were told by the sales rep that the wood windows were cheaper. We were excited because wood windows were our first preference. After ordering we were told the wood windows were actually more. The sales rep said the reason for her misquote was because she didnt have the same program on her laptop as the one used by the business office.During the installation I noticed what looked like scratches on one of the windows and was told by one the installers that it was just the glue left by the stickers that came on the window and that it would come off with a razor blade. I worked for over an hour and it turned out to be scratches after all. When putting the molding back up the installers failed to nail the molding on one of the windows. When we put the shade back up on this window both the shade and molding fell and hit my husband on the head.When the installers were leaving we offered them a soda because it was a hot afternoon. As I came around to hand them the sodas I noticed they were pointing to a corner of one of the windows but I didnt pay much attention. When my husband and I later did a walk around the house to look at the windows I noticed a chip in the corner of the window the installers were pointing to as I handed them the sodas. Fortunately it was the same window with the scratches in the glass. Henderson wanted to fix the window. We did not pay for brand new windows to get fixed windows. They agreed to replace the window but the wait time was three months.On one of the windows the side of the window that slides fell out when the installer was checking it. The height of that portion of the window was not enough to hold it within the track so that too had to be replaced.We chose to stain the windows and after each coat of stain white blotches appeared on the wood on every window. I bought the stain new and did not use polyurathane. I used fine grade steel wool to remove it and again restained it only to have the white blotches reappear. From what Ive read this usually has to do with moisture in the wood. Wish we had been informed that the wood wasnt completely aged.I was told that the windows would be installed as soon as they arrived. I asked if I would have time to stain them prior to installation (rather than after which is much harder) and was told that was not an option.We were also told by the sales rep that we would receive our rebate from Energy Trust within a month. After waiting for two months my husband called and was told that it had been held up due to the replacements not being completed. We paid fully for our windows the day they were installed and yet because of a problem on their end (factory defects in two of the windows) they decided to hold up our rebate - at least until my husband complained - at which time they decided to submit the paperwork for the rebate.The installers are here to do the replacements as I write this review. We were initially told they would be here at 1:00. A couple of days later we were told they would be here between 8:00 and 9:00. When they hadnt showed up by 10:30 I called because I had put errands on hold in order to be here when they came. I was then told they would be here at 2:00 this afternoon. Within a half an hour the installer called to say that he would be here within 30 minutes. Its a good thing were retired and didnt have to take off work to wait for them to get their scheduling straight.After the installers cleaned the replacement of the new window I noticed a smudge on the corner of the new new window. Neither the installer nor I were able to remove it. Rather than wait another 3 months to see if Milgard could provide a new window without flaws, I waved the white flag and asked them to just replace the glass so we can just end what has been a very disappointing experience to say the least.

Well this is a Character Rating!! Day after Christmas and we were sitting in the Fred Meyer parking lot with a dead battery (these things happen when your 13 year old had the radio on whIle you were in the store...). My husband had just opened the hood and a gentleman and his wife pull up right away and ask if we need a jump! So nice!! If this is how you treat perfect strangers I can only imagine how great you are to your customers!! Thanks so much :)

My mother had all windows,patio doors and of course screens installed from this company. They were very nice and it looked like a great job and it should have been, since it cost her over 15,000.00!!Once they got their money, customer service went down the drain.....thats the only way I can put it nicely!!I have been after them for several years about the screens, which let the bugs, even the ones that look like stink bugs walk right in, even mice can get into the patio screen and into the house...critters and bugs belong outside where God intended!! After MANY CALLS a guy shows up and he must have thought he was talking to an idiot because he said an adjustment is all they need!! Get this one, he put little buttons under the screen in the kitchen, (looked like they came from the dollar tree!! I asked Hows that to help? He replied with it will help close the gap on top). I called again, another guy came over, said they were not made right and they would remake them, as they all needed to be larger and were made to thin. When replaced, he forgot the tall bathroom ones, to my surprise they were the same size!! LONG STORY SHORT, the last guy said they were absolutely wrong in size and thickness and would be replaced. OH YEAH, I WENT TO THE SHOWROOM THE LAST TIME AND WAS VERY ANGRY TO SAY THE LEAST,! ...I told him if the company didnt want a bad review this needs to be handled ASAP...That was a couple months ago and still no screens, so heres the review. I hope everyone reads this before purchasing anything from this company..Oh yeah, the patio sliders have a black rubber strip on the end and for some reason on the top and bottom it was cut off....THATS NUTS, NO WONDER ALL THE CREEPIES COULD COME IN UNINVITED!!!Im still waiting....................

We are familiar with Henderson and Daughter and have visited their showroom in the pastt. After trying to schedule appointments with two of Angies List companies whose volume was so high they they had to give me referrals, I called Henderson and Daughter. Wendy MacVicar came out the very next day and I now have a new patio sliding door on order. The company who referred Henderson failed to tell them that I needed replacement windows (Henderson doesnt do just replacement glass), but Wendy provided me with the name of someone who scheduled to come out the day after I met with Wendy. Wendy was friendly, yet extremely professional, and really knows not only the product line, but construction elements as well. Im very pleased.

I called about a window in my home I wanted replaced. I was turned down for only wanting one window. The receptionist Debbie said you have to order four minimum. This is a 12X6 window and I was not even able to get a quote. By far the worst customer service ever.
