Great place with very good food and people are very friendly. The bread is fresh and is prepared daily. Prices are very reasonable compared to other grocery stores.

Ive been shopping at other Mexican stores for years and It was ok. I decided to try Tienda Del Carmen and I was very pleased with their customer service and store cleanliness. Meat was also very fresh, I am definitely moving my business here. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is a great little market !Super friendly staff and very clean and well organized.They have fresh made chorizo and various cuts of beef, chicken and pork.Tasty fresh chicharonnes are perfect dipped in the house made salsa.

Terrible customer service. They dont even greet you when you come in, even when you greet them first, they dont respond. The girl just said, what do you need. Not how may I help you or can help you. I think this girls face would crumble to pieces to try and crack a smile. Honestly, she looked high but I doubted it since she was pregnant. Just did not even seem interested in having any customers in the store on New Years Eve, way to start my year! Not happy, I hope I am enjoy this places food after their crappy service, usually this type of experience makes me lose my appetite.

Last weekend I was visiting the area from California and my experience at Tienda Del Carmen was very pleasant. Best authentic homemade Mexican food. Everything is made scrath - tomales, carnitas and their pastries. It is a family owned business with friendly staff. Lastly, Food is fresh and prices were the most reasonable in the area. Id definitely would recommend coming in and checking them out.

I was very happy to see another mexican store open up here in the Vancouver area, so we tried it out. My husband and I decided to buy some carnitas from them. OMG worst decision ever. Once we got home and proceeded to eat the carnitas, we saw a bug in them. I couldnt tell what kind of bug it was, it had a head, legs and it looked nasty. I was so mad. Started feeling nauseous and disgusted. My husband called to let them know about it and asked to be more careful with handling and cooking food. We left it at that. It happens. Well, guess what, we get a call back from a guy yelling at us asking why the hell we called to complain about their food. UUMMM, excuse me, I paid for that food and expect to at least be properly cooked. I never asked for a refund, we just wanted them to be aware but they are the ones offended??? This was the first and definitely the last time going there! Also, learn some customer service skills!

There are very good things.But if you are going to buy carnitas make sure they are selling you what you asked for.I asked for carnitas and told him that I didnt want leather, as they put more than half the weight of pure leather and the carnitas on top.It would be good for them to clarify if they do not sell what you choose but that everything has to go together as they accommodate it, and so you decide whether to buy or not.I did not go to return it because I took care of it and my family had already started to eat what they could, the rest had to go to the garbage.The leathers will be very tasty for those who like them, but not me, and I dont think I have to buy, for example, a pound of carnitas to be able to eat a quarter of it.

I went here and the cashier seemed very friendly to the Hispanic customer right before me but was very short with me when it was my time to check out. No thank you, no have a good night, no nothing. I would not recommend this place at all. Much better customer service at Becerras also they leave the carnitas uncovered all day. Gross.The cashier here was very nice to the Hispanic lady but with me very cold she did not say thank you or good night or anything. So better go to Becerras. The owner or manager is a despot. She doesnt know how to treat customers, but what really bothers me is the way I speak to her employee. But not only she, since the change of owner, the change is noticeable, more merchandise, more variety, but the lousy service, except for the employee who mistreated the manager or owner.

The lady in charge of that store does not make the slightest effort to treat the clientele well.
