We have purchased way too much jewelry (rings and pendants) from Jareds over the last few years. Today, I asked them to have a pendant purchased at Jareds put on a different chain but since they could not find the chain in their system they were going to charge me over $50.00. I went to a smaller store and they did it for free. We will be bringing our business to this smaller jewelry store from now on. The customer service we received at the smaller store is what Jareds is lacking.

This is the Best Jared jewelry store at whole Illinois. Very good and helpful customer service.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING HERE! GO ANYWHERE ELSE!! Worst jewelry store!! Costumer service is fine, but we have had ALL our orders wrong. My husband first bought my engagement ring there, first he showed him one and he was happy about it, then he saw my ring and it was the perfect ring for me, then they proceeded to do the payment with all the insurance possible, then time goes on, my ring started fading and changing colors real fast, less than 6 months after using it, the store first said it was my fault, even though I never clean with my rings on. Then they couldnt find our insurance for my ring. Then after an hour of going from a manager to another they found it and fixed it. We bought my husbands ring there too, again with all the insurance possible, and after our wedding we proceeded engrave them.... the store engraved mine so thin and tiny I couldnt even see it, did it 3 more times until it was actually visible, then did my husbands and put the wrong date, he didnt notice it until I saw it, came back to the store to fix it and the store AGAIN couldnt find any of our purchases with their insurances, and again going from manager to manager until finally find it, and after all that have the audacity to ask my husband for more money to pay for our engravements and money to fix his again.... literally the worst service ever. If I didnt like my ring as much as I do we would have returned them already. And ALL this is only the top of the iceberg from all the things theyve had wrong. They lost one of my rings once, and found it 2 day later...

My fiancé and I recently bought our wedding bands from this location. Previously, we had visited another location and the customer service here far exceeded the other one. Christine S. the general manager is a gem! (pun intended) She was extremely helpful since the second we walked in the store. Her experience and expertise were evident and she really has the customers best interest at heart. We were extremely satisfied working with her and will return because of this level of service. She even made an exchange process seamless and quick. I would highly recommend asking for her, she made a meaningful buying experience that much better!

Went in regarding Omega watch not keeping accurate time. They are supposed to be a Omega warranty and repair shop. Once sales woman realized I wasnt buying jewelry she was no longer interested in helping me at all. She proceeded to tell me it had no warranty, after I showed her certificate card she told me it wasnt covered under warranty and I should pay Jared 300$ to have it cleaned instead. She then walked to the door for me to leave. Unbelievable. Its no wonder literally no one has ever said he went to Jared.

The sales people are very knowledgable and they really take the time to make sure you are pleased with your purchase. They are not hard sell, which I really appreciated. I also had a repair done there, and I love the fact that the repairs are done on the premises rather than being sent out somewhere. This is now the only jewelry store I will ever go to, and I highly recommend them!

The customer service at this location is absolutely atrocious. If I could give the Vernon Hills location, 0 stars, I would. My fiancé and I have called in many times, and the staff is always rude. They were especially rude the last time I called. A woman named Christy is the one who answered and had a rude tone when I asked about the service on my fiancé’s ring. I wanted to make sure it was going to be finished before we made the drive out there and I was received by sarcastic and discourteous comments. It was as if I was a bother. There was another time as well when my fiancé called to check on her ring and they were rude yet again, stating they couldn’t even find it. Save your time and go to another location.

If I could do 10 stars across the board I would.Trish and her teammates know exactly what they are doing.My fiance and I got our wedding bands done here for an amazing deal and service and I also got my fiances engagement ring here as well.Phenomenal service and expertise at this location. Major props on how they put the customer first each time. I cant say how we appreciated how the went above and beyond on the quality of the rings while not killing the bank.I cant speak for all locations but the Vernon Hills one has been our go-to and my fiance and I highly recommend this purely on the exceptional service and quality alone.Thank you for the flawless experience!

The Schaumburg store has always been great in regards to their customer service. We now live farther north and attempted to use the Vernon Hills location last Thursday July 16th. The hours posted say 7pm online and at the store. We got to the location at 645pm and noticed the doors locked and signs stating by appointment only. I went to their website in advance and it does not give any information about making appointments in advance. So I called and let the woman know we were outside the store. I asked if we could just drop off items for a warranty inspection that we could pick up another day. She was extremely rude and said they were done with appointments for the day and we would have to set an appointment for another date. She said they were preparing to lock up and leave for the day. I asked if they close at 7pm since it was 645 and she said yes but that again we would have to come back another day. It literally takes one minute to take our items and info but they were in a hurry to get out and not provide any customer service. If I had said I was looking to drop $25k on a new ring, I bet she would have had time for that new commission. Horrible customer service and a complete waste of our time.

My fiancé built my engagement ring and ordered it from Jared and picked it up from this store. Tony helped him out and answered all of his questions. When the ring came it was just slightly too big, so we went in to get it resized. Christine and Christy were absolutely wonderful. We were on a time crunch so they got us in and done in 45 minutes! They were very accommodating and great to work with. My ring fits perfectly now and I have gotten so many compliments on it! Christy picked up on my love of sapphires and even suggested looking at Vera Wang wedding bands since she incorporates sapphires in her jewelry! Great service and a beautiful showroom with and on site repair facility - we will definitely be back! Thank you Christine and Christy!!

Before I took my watches to the store, I called and Rob, one of the time piece expert was very friendly and helpful in answering my questions. In the store, Ivan, the other time piece expert re-sized my watches for me. He was also great. He was very careful with my watches and very friendly as well. Great service! I highly recommend Rob and Ivan when you are in need of fixing time pieces.

I just proposed to my girlfriend (now Fiance) with a ring from here and she absolutely loved it! I originally had a different ring picked out but when we figured out it wouldn’t be in, in time of when I was planning on proposing, Trish and Ivan were such a great help on helping me find a similar ring that looked even better! They were quick and extremely knowledgeable. Trish helped the process of picking out a ring and Ivan did an excellent job cleaning it and getting it ready for me to propose!I definitely recommend coming here! Thanks again guys!

Please beware and don’t do business with this shady company. If you take advantage of their 0% finance promo, your last payment will not be due on the due date, but will actually be based off of the purchase date. Since their auto-pay only allows to setup payment son the due date, your last payment will be late and you will be charged 20% of the TOTAL purchase price in interest. Funny thing is we bought our jewelry from the Store Manager, who clearly knows about this issue but did not bother mentioning this. After speaking with them, they quoted several laws which allow them to legally do this. After reading about this online, a bunch of people experience this and are furious. I wanted to make sure others are aware of Jared’s unethical practices and don’t make the same mistake as I did.

Huge thanks to Adam and the jewelry repair specialists! My wife had an injury and both her wedding and engagement rings had to be cut to be removed. Adam helped us with the repair process and taught us everything there is to know about gold and platinum repair, so there wouldnt be any surprises. He even gave me his personal phone number and kept us informed with updates. I picked up the rings yesterday, and my wife said the rings look better than ever!

Loved it here, my fiance and I just got done having my custom engagement ring designed and they were super helpful and did everything they could to get me exactly what I wanted while still being able to afford it. Few years ago when we bought are rings the service was very courteous respectful and professional.unfortunately, today we went back and it is 180 degree different from a certain person. It is sad because the rest of the team seemed very welcoming and respectful. The service very poor they could not find any of the records or match it..all what she cared about is to sell not seeking to listen to what we needed.

My now husband bought our engagement ring almost 5 years ago at Algonquin Jared. We loved everyone there especially Maureen. The only person in Algonquin who we had issues working with was Janet. We no longer live close to Algonquin. Our closet location is Vernon Hills Jared. Luck will have it Janet has been transferred to Vernon Hills location. Once again I have issues working with her. I decided I wanted to go get my ring cleaned yesterday. I went to Vernon Hills location since it is the closet. Of course it is Janet who works with me. I specifically told her please clean between the diamond. My diamond holds it dirt in that area. She took no time at all and was back with my ring. I could tell already it was not cleaned and dull. I got my two kids buckled in their car seats. And I take a look in the sun the diamond is not cleaned and is cloudy. I now drive to the next closet location in Schaumburg. I explain that I just had my ring cleaned today in Vernon hills and it was not cleaned properly. Can you please focus on getting the diamond cleaned. It holds the dirt between the diamond. The guy took his time and I wish I got his name yesterday. Because he did and amazing job. My ring was sparkling again in the store and I could see right through my diamond again. So thank you very much to the man in Schaumburg!I will no longer be going to Vernon Hills. I personally will be traveling to Schaumburg or Algonquin from now on.

The BEST customer service experience ever!!! Took amazing care of my wedding ring; far beyond my expectations. Anybody can sell you a piece of jewelry, but Terry sold me on understanding the importance, the emotional value, of a piece of jewelry. Adam helped us when we came in to get our 6 month service some on my wife’s rings, he even noticed right away that the center stone was loose and recommend keeping it over night and they even did a great job cleaning it. I have shopped many different jewelry stores over many years and the experience, that I had at Jareds in Vernon Hills was exceptional! Both Christie and Marte were incredibly helpful and took the time needed to design the perfect custom ring. They are an outstanding reflections on that store and they have a customer for life!! I had the absolute BEST experience with this store. I needed my engagement ring reset. I was nervous and excited leaving my rings in that store to be reset. I picked them up today and all my worrying was for no reason. Not only did the custom work come out beautifully, but the customer service was top notch as well (each time I went in or called). They greet you upon entering, offer you a drink, and when is your turn they give you their undivided attention. They were even great with my active 2 year old son! I dont know what the negative reviews were about, but I recommend you go to this store for whatever your jewelry needs are. Ill make it my first stop from now on.

Been a long time Jareds customer. Bought our engagement and wedding rings at a FL location and was always treated very well. This location has its own policies that greatly differ from what we were used to. Charged us $100 to tighten a loose diamond that we paid over $18,000 for originally. In FL it was always free, which can happen frequently with larger diamonds. Also was told wed receive a call when repair was complete, and did not. Several days after repair was supposed to be done we finally called to inquire and was told they dont call for finished repairs. That sealed it- will never go back again. Add that to a staff who seems like theyre mostly still in training (benefit of the doubt here.) Would advise any potential customer to try other options where they stand behind their work and understand the value of retaining customers.

I had an amazing experience with this particular Jareds. We thought we would be hunting all day for my wedding ring and that was not the case at all. This was our first and only stop. Will helped us pick out the perfect ring. I have never liked colored gold and didnt even want to try on the rose gold ring that I now call mine. Will talked me into trying it on and no other ring could have been more perfect. He was so helpful and amazing. Although I do not live in Chicago (far from it actually) he will always be my favorite sales person. I applaud Marsha, a sales person, and James a technician for their kind and good service to me today. I have had very neutral feelings for Jareds before today. My husband bought me a set of modestly priced small post earrings, necklace, and a ring recently. Ive had three stops into the store to make corrections. My earrings had to be tightened because I had lost - and then found! - one earring and the back, in a wash basin at my hair salon. I purposely wore this pair to my hair appointment expecting them to be secure. I started mistrusting them after that. It made me wonder why they were not this tight when my husband left the store when he purchased them? Quality control only makes sense to me. My ring was a problem because of my large knuckle. The ring style spins on my finger and the design/stone ends up in my palm. (If I had shopped for this ring, I may have discovered this and chosen something else). Since this was a gift, I wanted to wear it and not always feel negative about the spinning. Jareds offers free sizing with the purchase, so I opted to size down first before adding cost to the ring to make changes. The smaller size was almost impossible to get on and off my finger and was immediately uncomfortable. When I took it back today, Marsha checked my sizing and listened to my recent problems with the ring. She took it to James to get his opinion. After looking at other rings that I had brought with me to compare the fit, he advised that adding even a tiny bit of size would not solve the problem. He offered to tap the rings shape just a bit to help accommodate my knuckle. In about 2 minutes he brought my ring to me. It fits so much better and looks better on my hand! I was so surprised. Then he offered to polish it. When my husband picked my ring up yesterday, it looked cheap and dull instead of like sterling silver; more like steel. I complained to Marsha about this too. James corrected me to tell me I have a white gold ring, and he brought the brilliance back in less than 5 minutes!! I am so happy now with the fit and the appearance!! It is still a modest ring, but two caring employees made a big difference in my opinion today. I wanted to hug them. Just to add, I hardly ever give a 5 star rating because I also work in customer service and a 5 is perfect. If the store was perfect, I would have had a solution to my simple problem sooner, but Marsha and James were perfect for me today!!! They make the store a better store!

Purchased our wedding rings from Jareds, and had a great experience in FL. Came to this Jared and purchased upgraded rings, and a new one for my husband. They talked us into a custom rebuild on my engagement ring. Promised date of wax, came into center as scheduled to no wax; no call from anyone that it wasnt done, everyone was clueless. They then rushed through the wax in 48 hours and it was all wrong. Had to retell them what we wanted which was drawn and clear from the get go. Final ring is due today completed. No communication, not done. I can not tell you how disappointed in the store I am, I would highly recommend going elsewhere. We will be changing stores once the custom ring is done. Manager is aware of the situation and nothing has been offered to help us out or to apologize. Excuses, excuses, excuses are all we have gotten. Poor customer service and experience all around. UPDATE 3/17-the ring was completed and was so far off of what our original description and sample ring was that we have had to make changes again. The jeweler even said to our sales professional What more could they want. What we want is the ring of our dreams, which they have had an exact picture of from the first design session 7 weeks ago instead of the monster ring they are presenting as the ring of our dreams. DO NOT fall for the customer service focused ads... Please save yourself the heartache and time ....find another place where they take customers seriously and care that you get what you want.

I wanted to buy my wife a new diamond for an upgrade on her wedding set. The salespeople were very friendly and respectful and they offered me coffee and took their time with me. In some jewelery stores you feel like cattle being pushed and shoved around, but not at Jareds in Vernon Hills. I had the chance to meet the new manager and she was very accommodating, she made sure that I was being taken care of professionally. They approved a credit account for me and in the end I actually wound up buying my wife a bigger diamond than I had intended to! Dont take one negative review as an indication of a stores reputation, I had a really GREAT experience at this store and I WILL be back again.

I have family in Chicago and I have been to this location twice to have jewelry serviced/cleaned. On both occasions, I have had the worst experience with customer service.The first experience was just for a cleaning and after I dont feel that one bad experience should be used to grade a store as a whole, so I went back a second time about 1 year later. Most recently, I had a male wedding band re-sized and the ring came out looking like it was run over by a truck. There were tool marks and scratches all over the ring. When picking up the ring, I mentioned that there were scratches and discoloration so the sales woman brought the ring to the jeweler to see if they could fix it. She came back out stating our jeweler has been doing this for over 20 years and he said that there is no one that could do it any better. This was followed up by so, is there anything else I an do for you? to basically shove us out the door and downplay our concern and the terrible job done re-sizing the ring. The ring was also fitted too tightly (I could not turn the ring or get it off my finger without the help of my fiance and still a bit of a struggle).As I was only in Chicago one more day, I wasnt able to have them fix their terrible work, and now I will have to go to another location to fix what they did. I would recommend avoiding this location at all costs. They are rude, pushy, and the quality of their work is poor at best.

This very nice women was helping us, then at 2:00 pm a very rude middle age women walks over, doesnt introduce herself ..?Whispers to the very nice employee... They shuffle us to another counter... Older women is disgusted that she had to finish up our sale... She tells the girl that shes confused ... Directs her to Just ring it up . They sneak over to the back area .. leaving us hanging.???? Confusing???? I asked the manager what was going on and he starts talking lunch policy. Really! No apology for confusion... He needs to go back to customer service trainingI I understand and will comply with policy... I dont understand poor customer communication and poor staff customer service! Not acceptable! Advice ... Please shop where people care... Disappointed .... Always had such great service at Jarads in Florida!

Very bad experience every time Ive went to this store. Unfortunately, my husband picked his wedding band from this store, so Ive had to work with them. Very rude people that work here. This is the last time I order anything from Jareds. I ordered my Tag Connected 21 days ago and still am not able to get any information other than The vendor shipped it and Any day now Didnt even get an update once it was shipped. Bad Business.
