This place is garbage. Refused to take me because I was 5 minutes late. Literally 5 minutes. I was never told or warned about this 5 minute rule. Unprofessional and unreasonable. If you get stuck in traffic on your way to an appointment don’t bother with this place. The people at the front desk are not very delightful either.
Not helpful or friendly, truly has that corporate feel. They are definitely all about the numbers here unfortunately. From the time you enter, you can tell it is factory style. Services are pushed on you, and the manager is less than helpful to say the least. Find a nice private office that will care for your medical needs.
My daughter and I had appointments today. When we arrived we saw that we still needed to wear masks even if your vaccinated which was a bummer. Once inside we were greeted by the front office staff who were friendly and professional. We were told to sit in the waiting room. A woman called us from there and I could tell she was trying to be pleasant but her underlying tone was that she was frustrated and didnt like her job very much but hey we all have bad days and Im hoping thats all it was for her. I was put in a room and waited for the Dr. for a little longer than would have been desired but it wasnt too bad. After my exam was complete I was taken out front where (Heres the good part) Tracey! the manager was a complete ROCK STAR!! OMG she was so so so awesome. She helped my daughter and I and was so down to earth, extremely helpful, and accommodating. I will return there just to have her help me again. I hope MyEyeDr. knows what they have in this employee. Give this girl a raise! She brought her A game as far as customer service is concerned. We WILL be back!
Had a 5pm appointment. Arrive at 5:06 due to traffic. Informed by the front desk they have a 5 minute rule and have moved on. UNBELIEVEABLE! Yet the doctor would keep us waiting for how long in the waiting room?! No thanks, I will find a new doctor and NEVER use this place again. Thanks for the great customer service.Editing because of business response: the generic response is beyond pathetic. If you look at the previous reviews this has been an issue that keeps coming up and generic responses are sent to appear to handle the situation. I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE people to seek local doctors who give good customer service. Your time is valuable just as much if not more than the eye doctor’s.
Dont even bother going here. I have been trying to get a correct prescription for about a year and been in many times and they dont listen to me when I say I cannot see and now at the end of it I have two sets of progressive lenses and cannot see out of either of them at any distance. All I ever get is try them for a few days and get used to them. How the hell does that work?? Pretty sad that I can go to Walgreens and pick up a set off the shelf and see well but pay $500 and cannot see.Very frustrated and will NEVER go here or even think of doing anything other than negative reference.
This facility was one of the best places to take my eyes to. Everyone was so kind, professional and experienced. A+
I love this place. The people are friendly and professional. I had have gotten poison ivy in my eyes and they were very swollen. Dr. Martin assisted me and in a short while my eye was feeling better and healed rapidly. I would recommend this site to other friends and family.
I am just out from there.. I had an appt at 4:20pm. Assumed I had an appt at 4:30 so arrived around 4:27. Waited in the front desk for 5 mins, and got a reply I am late so they cant take me. Need to make an another appt. Completely disappointed.
Today I took my oldest son for his yearly check-up as a new patient. It ended up being a traumatic experience for the both of us as well as my youngest son, who was with us. The women who preformed the tests before the actual doctor comes in was completely rude! She ruined the entire experience. She had a nasty attitude and the expression on her face said what she didn’t. It was horrible. If she hates her job, she would find one that she enjoys.
My fiance recently was discharged from the hospital and they lost his glasses. Called myeyedr. got him in the next day. He was so pleased, very nice staff great exam! He was extremely happy. I myself made an appointment. Cant wait!
I always have a great experience when I go to My Eye Doctor in Vernon, CT. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I also appreciate the precautions they put in place regarding COVID-19. It’s a very clean and friendly environment. Drs Martin and Ferentini are great too!
Been going her for years. great selection of glasses, always very personable and great customer service.
I have nothing but positive things to say about MyEyeDr. in Vernon CT. Called ahead to make the appointment. I was scheduled within that week. All Covid-19 precautions were followed. All the way through, from the exam to the insurance part, everything was easy. All the staff were very helpful, kind and informative! Love this place and I look foward to my new glasses!
I want to thank all of the incredible team at MyEyeDr.in Vernon....I had such a great experience with this woman optometrist....I had my appointment back on October 2nd, I told her I havent been able to see for two years and I just didnt know what to do anymore, my glasses / prescription werent cutting it. It had been the wrong prescription for far too long and she acknowledged it and corrected the problem. The wonderful assocoat that fitted me for my glasses, took her time and really measured it to the tee. When I went to have my new lenses put into my glasses today.. yay .... I got to keep my frame that are new and I love them. The associate who put my new lenses into my frames was knowledgeable, kind ....She put them on me and honestly I just couldnt believe my eyes. It was one of the most incredible experiences being able to see 20/20 its been a very long time. So thank you my friends! You made my day!!!
Awful place, dont bother keep looking. Awful communication to the customer. Cannot take their word on anything. AWFUL EXPERIENCE
I would definitely return to Mr Eye Doctor. The exam was thorough and professional. I have a difficult prescription for eyeglasses (severe astigmatism, progressive lenses) and although there was a problem with my glasses, they kindly corrected it. In all honesty, I felt much more confident in the care I received there than at my last opthamologist appointment.
Modest quality frames and lenses at retail pricing. No on site support for anything other than the most modest repairs. Appointments required for adjustments to eye wear are 2+ weeks out at July 17, 2020. Likely commission based store front. Honestly, the personality parade, if you like somebody, isnt relevant in eye wear retail. Have called for repairs or adjustments only to drive there to be told they either repairs cant been done or make a appointment (pre-Covid). The test of these retail outlets is always: price, quality and availability. I am not suggesting to go elsewhere if this place is for you, but it is common sense to weigh your options with other outlets in the area; for example Lens Crafters. Good Luck.July 23, 2020. Im disappointed that you would drop back and use Covid, a national emergency, as an excuse for shoddy business practices. This retail business is clearly an insurance mill with very little to offer in quality, price and availability. For the canned response, I am removing a star.
Clean office and great doctor, but poor insurance coordinating up front. No answers to any billing related questions. Everything is passed up to corporate with no follow through.
They are always friendly and greet you with a smile. The doctor did not push new contacts or glasses on me and the doctor was honest that my vision had not changed. They worked with my vision insurance to ensure proper billing. Since I have an eye disease, they were the only eye care facility that treated it with contact lens!!! Now my entire family is a Visual Perception family!!!
After buying two frames for myself I bought my daughter there. They did measurements and refused to give them to me claiming they did not do the measurements when I watched them do them. Wanted $50 to do the measurement. I needed a frame they didnt offer.
I contacted Visual Perceptions after receiving below par service from another provider in a different town. When I called VP and explained my negative experience I was transferred to the office manager. She was not only patient, taking her time addressing all of my concerns, she was also VERY knowledgeable and professional, so much so, I booked an appointment.Upon arriving I found the office environment very inviting, and the office staff very kind and professional. My experience was excellent from start to finish.I saw Dr. Edmund Swan, and he is an excellent professional in my opinion. He not only answered all of my questions, but he also offered information to me regarding my insurance coverage options. The service I received was above and beyond my expectations. THANK YOU Visual Perceptions.
Dr. Ferrentini is amazing. I request no other when I make my appointments. She diagnosed a concern with my eyes and set me up immediately with a retina specialist. She took the time to fully assess my eyes, answer all my questions and concerns. Angela is always helpful with any questions or concerns I have had in the past with billing and/or fitting my eye glasses. As well as all the staff there.I have been with this Dr. Ferrentini for almost 10 years now under Visual Perceptions and now My Eye Doctor. Through all the changes, I trust no one else with my eyes and send my family to her.
Absolute worst customer service ever! Wow!!!. I was 1 minute late because they changed locations. Yet, still I was turned away even though I had an eye emergency. Great job helping patients in need! To add insult to injury, the assistant goes, You were late 15 months ago too so we cant give you any more appointments. Wow! Thanks! These companies nowadays are more concerned with making money than actually being helpful. I only I could give 0 stars.
I was 3 minutes late to my appointment and they didn’t want to take me in, lady was very rude when she opened the door.
This is hands down, the best eye doctors office I have ever visited. Went for a check up after getting PRK the year before (at a LASIK Institute in Farmington) and everything went very quick. I am a new patient at Visual Perception and from the very start (filling out preliminary paper work) to leaving the office, everything took only 50 minutes. There was VERY little waiting time and the staff was extremely nice and made my first visit very comfortable. Highly recommend!!
Always a great experience! And I can SEE AGAIN; 😎
On time so no waiting. Staff professional and willing to take time with you.
The bad services Im feeling very bad the employee need education to best service at the customer care and dont discriminate for have a state medical insurance
If I could give NO stars I would. Felt like they werent from small town eye care to corporate care. Everything is about the copay, billable service and return visits so you are stuck paying multiple co-pays and being inconvenience with the fees and additional visits...then they say its how your insurance works! Instead of calling it what it is...a way to charge more because in the past only one visit was needed to do a full eye exam and field testing.Time to find a new less billing oriented eye doctor.
The worst eye doctor ever, I told the lady I wanted to call back to make an appointment they set up an appointment anyways then when I was late they told me nothing they could do about it
Wonderful staff and facility
