This is an excellent, locally owned hardware store.They have plexiglass up on registers AND tables in front to allow for extra social distancing.ALL counters, carts, baskets, door handles etc are regularly sanitized and have been since the beginning of the pandemic.Circles/tape on the floor for social distancing. Signs on the door and in the store. Employees and customers wearing masks.The county has had a mask ordinance for all business in unincorporated IRC since 4/1. All employees do wear masks per CDC guidelines.There is a local mask group posting negative reviews on small businesses who didn’t impose a mandatory mask policy on all customers.At the same time, they support the big box stores who supposedly have them yet don’t enforce them.The reviews below have nothing to do with the hardware store, but a specific agenda.

Purchased Green Thumb hose nozzle in June 2020. I purchased because True Value brand and ten year warranty policy of just return to store where purchased if it breaks. Unfortunately it broke, so I took it back to the store on January 25, 2021 for replacement. I was told they dont take anything back past 30 days. I asked the store manager, Brittany, to read the part on the True Value warranty where it says to bring to store and she refused to read it. I had original receipt and original packaging. She said I had to contact manufacturer. I explained I purchased there for the reasons she was refusing to honor.After contacting True Value and Store Manager the warranty was honored. Maybe this is a training opportunity for store personnel.

Wondered around the store with not one other customer but at least 4 employees and never was asked if I needed help. When I asked where the caulk was the older lady just pointed and said over there. During the check out process the only words spoken to me were do you want a bag? You guys should recognize that one of the only things you CAN have over the big box stores is customer service. Today was a total fail.

No pvc glue? really? this place is big but very poorly stocked. sure, there are plenty of employees standing around to show you where the stuff would have been if only they had some. Apparently they had a big run on pic glue that week. Its like they want you to go to Home Depot. This is the saddest Ace Ive ever been in.

This is not what you would call a large hardware store but it is packed with just about everything you would need for those projects around your house, from bird seed to pipes, you name it and they probably will have it. The service is great, someone has always been there when you need help finding an item. There prices are also on par with the other hardware stores in the area. They also have a US post office in the store.

I was in the store the other day just browsing around it has been sometime since I’ve been in there and I just wanted to see what was new. and those employees hover over you like a vulture like you’re going to pick up some stuff and put in your pocket I have never been uncomfortable in my life I won’t be going back to the store anytime soon..

Love this store!! Always giving to their community!!! Always keeping people in the know for when supplies for Covid and hurricanes come in. Always promoting positivity in the face of a pandemic. They stock a wide variety of supplies from practical to fashionable to get you through the the task of wearing a mask. I can’t say enough positive things about this business!

Great store! I have had excellent customer service and I appreciate the safety measures they have as well as the variety of items available for purchase.

Bought a grill and a griddle, got home and realized that the grill was flimsy and not sturdy. Did not even take it off the truck, went back 2 minutes later to exchange it for another brand and was told no!!!My fault for not asking their policy. I just thought they would be like other stores like lowes or home depot....no explanation was given the salesperson said he will ask the owner then came out and said no!Lesson learnt...thank you ace, I will continue to shop Home Depot!Update to your responseNo we did not return 2 hrs later...cant believe a store would lie like this.. we literally live 2 minutes away ...we unpacked the griddle and tanks and returned...no more than 15 minutes max...you have cameras you can see the timeI paid for 2 propane tanks I have the receiptsDid not ask or need grill cover you offered itWe were in the store no more than 20 minutesPeople can change their minds....simply wanted to exchange not return...the grill was still on the truck the way it was loaded we were not told it was a final sale, again my fault for assuming you r policy would be the same as lowes or home depot.Ee

Between USPS, UPS and Fedex, Im always happy when I see Shipped by USPS. They seem to bang them around less.My only minor complaint is that they no longer have stamp machines. I used to be able to stop at 3:00 AM on the way home from work and by stamps from the machine. That would be especially nice during the pandemic. And having to order them online incurs a shipping charge. I didnt get my primary ballot sent in because of that. In Ohio I could have left a note and money in my mailbox and bought stamps. Can I do that here?

A large hardware store with good inventory and excellent customer service. I moved from Minnesota and so happy to find an excellent locally owned hardware store.

Parking is easy and plenty of spaces. Inside, aisles are roomy and well stocked. Very helpful staff who offer and can help you find just what you need. Check out was quick and pleasant.

Couteous, helpful, trustworthy. They called me to give me a refund to match a competitors price. They didnt have to, I didnt expect and didnt ask for it. Very reputable. My first stop when I need hardware, supplies and... youll be surprised at all they have.

The heavy old guy working there did nothing but aggravate. I asked him for something and he just didnt seem to want to cooperate with anything I asked for. The cashier was awesome though. I think her name was Belinda. She the only reason the visit made three stars. Normally I am extremely happy with the custome service from all their other asscoiates and would on a normal base give you four to five stars. You have an wonderful store for the most part. I am a regular customer.

This place has maintained some of the old hardware store vibe there are people there to help and they will probably have what you need.

This is a business that truly helps the community. Before hurricane Dorian went here for supplies and they had everything. Not to mention everyone Was in panic mode and they were slammed . The staff was extremely helpful and nice . Will definitely always support them .

Love to shop in our local hardware store. You cant beat the service and the friendly knowledgeable staff. Given the size of the building they have a wide variety and carry most of the mid range brands that you would need. Some rental services are as well as both propane refills and exchanges. Much easier to get in and out of than the big box stores.

I wouldve given them 5 stars, but they dont carry plants. Bought much at a great price. Received help on grass seed and weed killer purchases. They are ALWAYS helpful and cheerful. I do most of my hardware shopping here.

Very few employees are wearing masks even though they are selling them right there. I go into the store for their gifts selection. However after visiting the other day, there was only one employee with a mask on. The cashier did not have one on even though she was very close to customers. Also I asked her what I should do with the hand basket I had put my purchases in, did she want to clean it, she told me no just put it back with the rest of them, WE Dont Clean them. Excuse me !!!!! I was totally shocked and will not be back in until they make it safer for customers.

Love this contract postal unit! Convenient, friendly. They used to have longer hours but now are open similar to a regular post office. Better than the lines at the standard PO locations. Careful: they are closed for an hour at lunch!

Its NOT a small hardware store as other reviewer call it. It is a nice size store with almost everything we may need and much more. The downside of it are the pricing and too many products from China. They were not able to get me a vise made in the US!Overall a great shop in our area. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

This a smaller version of the big box stores. The staff here is the best. The answer questions and make sure you find what you are looking for without wondering around. Their prices are competitive. They seem to have everything needed for your household.

The store was not open at 8 a.m. which this is not the first time me and other customers had to wait outside after 8 for the store to open. Today all I needed was a box for shipping and the store did not have the size I needed so 15 minutes I wasted when I could have been across town to get what I need. This store is never convenient next time I will go the extra mile to be satisfied

I checked on line to see what the hours were. They are supposed to close at 12:30 for lunch. I got there at 12:17 and it was already closed. I am very careful about going out of my house during this panademic and I am not happy that I will now have to go out another time to get the masks that I made sent out.

Best hardware store in town has a post office on site and the best place for novelty items.

One young male worker walked past me in the store as i was looking and reading the signs to locate the item i went for. I wouldnt mind at all except i walk with a cane and i am disabled. Its a bright pink cane. Not hard to miss. Finally i walked through the middle of the store and was on my way back and i saw the same man. He definitely saw the cane, that i am a senior citizen and turned his head away. I saw a lady with her hands full of items that worked there and asked for her help. THEN the same man asked if he could help me!!! I said no that i asked the lady for help.

Employees not wearing masks and bet machine requires using a pen even when using any type of card. Then they do not provide wipes, spray or hand sanitizer after using a pen every customer must use.

Nice clean place, slow no customers though. Some dummy brought their loose dog in so it barked and tormented their pet macaw on display. Alot of variety on the shelves. Even an official post office inside as well.

I go to this store often because I can go in, get what I need and get out within a couple of minutes, unlike the big box stores. There is always someone to help you and to answer questions. They have very good quality products. Very friendly service.

Love having Ace near the house. For the first review that gave negative feedback, are you going to the hardware store to socialize or to geter done? Same older fella with the glasses always helps us out the best way he knows how. Maybe you were speaking Russian and just didnt know it.This store is higher price than the big stores out on 60, but they have everything you need and if you leave nearby its a life saver.

Vero Beach hardware is a great place to go for all your hardware needs instead of going to one of the big Box stores you know keep other people in business besides just the big giant Box stores so I would highly recommend anyone in the need of hardware to come on in to this here Vero Beach hardware store.

Small home town hardware store, Ive visited on a number of occasions when Home Depot or Lowes was simply too far away for what I needed.Located in Southwest Vero Beach - immediately west of the Goodwill Store - there is plenty of parking. Friendly and polite staff and even a Parrot to greet you upon entrance of the store. This Ace Hardware Store even has a mini United States Post Office for your postal needs. With a final call of 5 p.m. this postal facility is a bit more convenient than others, with no additional markup on fees.A warning sign on the front door warns shoplifters of the consequence of stealing. Do not pass go - do not collect $200 - straight to jail if youre caught stealing.In relation to Hurricane supplies - this store had wing nuts last year during the Hurricane Matthew scare when other stores ran out. My thought on hurricane supplies and subsequent returns is simple. The receipt says Items must be new, unused & contain original packing/accessories. If youve opened your items and used them or maybe discarded the original packaging, you shouldnt be able to return them. Besides - why wouldnt you keep the supplies for a rainy day, or this case - another hurricane?Thats all I have to say - this is my review of Vero Beach Hardware. Was disappointed that they wouldnt take back some steaks i purchassed before the hurricane. Never even used them. Was not aware you had to concrete them in the ground.

I had ordered a baby swing on amazon a few days ago and was notified it would arrive at my house Sunday before 9pm. I just received a notification that there was an issue during delivery of the package. “Unable to gain access to the front door”. It’s been on and off raining today which I have noticed USPS tends to not want to deliver packages in the rain since this is not the first time this has happened. From what I’ve gathered, they are extremely lazy with packages and I am not happy with their service at all. If I could rate lower, I would.
