I came upon this place while passing through the Metro and I am glad that I did. There arent too many places that are reasonably affordable within walking distance. During my most recent visit, everything was going great until I was confronted by Eddie in the produce department. I was simply minding my own business, when he got in my face and ordered me not to take picture. Dear Eddie, I only took 1 one single picture and I only took the picture so that I could help you and your store with a nice positive review Eddie. I know that you felt compelled to try to order your customer around, but there was nothing nefarious Eddie! I like the store, and Im glad I was able to find a checkin sandwich for lunch. Eddie is the same guy who would probably want to start a fist fight if someone came in and cant have their mask on! Eddie, focus on the fresh produce and less on confronting your customers!

This was a good location. Friendly staff and nice selection. It has a parking garage attached. I would definitely recommend this place.

Ive been walking to this Harris Teeter for a year or so (several times per week). Its always great. On the go, Ive had their breakfast food, hot bar, shrimp cocktail, rotisserie chicken, etc. On a not so great day, and one I happened to drive and parking was full, I noticed the emtpy parking spot in the picture. It was open and Im a veteran so I used it. It made me feel good 👍🤓 Means a lot. I think other vets appreciate it as well. Thank you Harris Teeter.

A one stop shop for everything essential!

I absolutely love this store. Today was my first visit, and I was surprised at how clean and organized everything was. I was able to find everything I needed fairly quick, and the staff were very polite and helpful. A little pricey, but overall for the area and the quality of the items, a decent bargain. Ill probably be back soon😁

Always clean, always quick, huge selection of stuff, extremely helpful employees. Driving in and out of this place can be a huge pain if you dont know the traffic flow of the surrounding areas, but once you understand where all the exits and entrances are youre golden. This is currently my favorite grocery store.

This Harris Teeter is very well maintained. However the staff in the front (Customer Service) are either over worked or need additional help. This isnt all the time, but i have stood waiting for them to greet me for at least 5+ mins.

A little small, but the targeted sales (e.g. cooked chicken and coffee) enable great savings for other +quality-of-life purchases. Plenty of registers to cash out and go. Didnt use parking, but seems adequate and sheltered (in garage). Wine selection seemed large for store size. HT is tied to Kroger, so convenient point program for cheaper fuel. Check it out.

Was outside my usual shopping zone and needed to pick some stuff up for the house. Seeing this Harris teeter from the street it looked like there might be difficulty parking, but back behind it there is a garage with plenty of open spots and very convenient. Inside this is a well stocked Harris teeter that will meet your expectations, if youve come to have expectations about Harris teeter.

Great convenient location near the Dunn-Loring Metro, unfortunately my biggest issue is the checkout (& self-checkout) lanes. While the store itself is generally clean, compared to other grocery stores in the area this particular Harris Teeter isnt efficient at cleanliness during the checkout process, especially with precautions taken during the ongoing pandemic. Do note that the employees overseeing the self-checkout lanes do not wipe down each kiosk between customers. This can also be said when going through regular checkout lanes.Also, cleaning the carts is self-serve (aka more customers touching the cleaning bottles and wipes), whereas the nearby Target, Safeway, Moms Organic, and H Mart locations are more efficient at staff cleaning them.Other than that they have great customer service.

This store is very convenient, but can be extremely crowded and limited in options, despite its significant square footage. Cleanliness can be an issue.Deli/bakery and butcher staff are all very helpful and attentive.The organic vegetable/fruit selections dont always mirror conventional ones, and even though there are plenty of options for things like tomato sauce, there are few offered for those with food sensitivities, like Low FODMAP needs.Personally, I have an issue with stores that put the dairy & eggs in the most remote corner of the store. Makes me feel like the commodity.Service staff at curbside pickup & the registers are usually very helpful and friendly, hence 3 stars & not 2.

They have food like a grocery store should so they get three stars. They would get more than that from me, but I had to finish my grocery shopping at Target, because this place didnt have everything I needed. Considering Target grocery shopping was a five star experience, Im going there now.

Visited the Harris Teeter in Dunn Losing (near where Prosperity ends at I-66) on a Wednesday afternoon. The large store wasnt too busy at that time.This location is on the ground floor of a multistory building. There is a drive-in garage connected by a covered walkway.Nice fresh produce in the well stocked section which includes a large selection of precut, time saving veggies ready for a quick dinner.The Dell is well stocked featuring Boars Head Provisions. Mike knows his products, offers great advice, and provides superior customer service. The deli has a sandwich menu for fresh made and ready to go sandwiches.The fresh meat and seafood department also has a lot of prepared, ready to cook offerings. However a recent reset of the packaged lunch meats and hot dogs has eliminated several items including Sabretts brand all-natural skinless all beef uncured hot dogs. So if you are looking for the best hot dogs in the market, you wont find them at Harris Teeter. (Sabretts is the brand served by the vast majority of hot dog stands everywhere.)This store has a large cheese section and makes fresh pizzas by the slice. To go with the cheese, there is a wine and beer section which takes up a lot of real estate!This store seems to cater to the smaller family or apartment dweller. Having the prepared foods and it also stocks smaller sized versions of products. It still has many of the southern regional products of its Noth Carolina-based parent company, Kroger.This Harris Teeter has one of the largest checkout sections I have seen- like the number of checkout lines that you *wish* Costco or BJs had! In addition to more than 10 cashier stations, there is a whole bank of easy to access self checkouts - not a small corral area. A great idea.Overall a great shopping experience. No masks are required for people who are vaccinated.

I am new in the area and really really surprised over the way how this place is organized and managed. You can find mostly anything you need.

Pretty place with lots of variety and really good shopping convenience. Once I enter this place I get out with all the things I need.

Great for 95% of your shopping. Clean. Well staffed. Good prices. But they will be out of Horizons whole milk 2 out of 3 trips. They say it is a common complaint but, since it hasnt changed in 3 years, I dont expect it to change now. I always end up going to Shoppers afterwards which is frustrating.

This store is the BEST! The manager is extraordinary and does an amazing job. Very clean and fresh food. Eddie Lawhorne is an excellent store manager and person.

Vey clean and well organized store with the staff who are always nice and helpful.

The meat and pharmacy departments are excellent. The store must not want to sell ice cream because they cannot keep the freezers stocked with Ben ant Jerry’s.In addition no Passover specials.

The service is okay but the place is feeling less safe by the day. their dining area is very secluded and often filled with homeless people acting weird. Same goes for the bathrooms

Nothing like it, the best ever.The pharmacy is something else in HT Dunn Loring VA. Jason is the best, most helpful, and friendly pharmacist I have ever dealt with. He makes you feel that you are part of HT family.I transfered my prescriptions to HT because of Jason, I cant thank him enough for his help.

Produce is pretty bad. Usually rotten items and tons of fruit flies. We usually have to go down the street to H Mart for produce. The rest of the store is your average grocery store.

Harris Teeter is one of my favorite grocery stores of all time. Ive lived in Maryland and Virginia, and the staff is consistently pleasant and very helpful. I love how fresh their produce is and how clean the store is no matter when or where you go. I also buy lot of flowers from their Florist dept, love the bright colors and arrangements.

Very convenient and well stocked. Covered parking for rainy weather. Helpful staff and good prices.

11/10/20This is one of the cleanest stores I have visited. Every time I have visited here, I enjoy how easy it is to find assistance should we need it.I came across some watermelon flavor sparkling water. I found it to be delicious. Like the kid in the cup of noodles ad back in the 80s, I want some more. Yeah, its that damn good.The pizza here at Harris Teeter is always at a great price. Especially when you compare it to Pizza Hut and Papa Johns Pizza. Great quality for a much cheaper price. The Alfredo Sauce pizza is about the only thing Harris Teeters pizza doesnt have.Even during this Coronavirus Pandemic, Social Distancing and cleanliness are key factors here. Except great things when coming here.

Wont be coming back:1. 10-20% of staff either do not wear masks or wear them improperly. Management doesnt seem to enforce standards.2. Must review receipts very carefully since prices advertised in store do not match the price at the register. This occurred on several occasions.3. Tired of staff talking down to customers. Wagging fingers and pointing in a random direction before walking off is just baffling. Even Walmart offers better customer service.Some of the staff members are great but the lack of enforced standards is just too much especially with the virus going around.I wont waste another penny here.

Expensive as far as grocery stores go, but very clean and professional atmosphere.

Newer, large, well-stocked supermarket. Has deli, hot bar, pizza bar & pharmacy, but not the extensive features of a super store. Store brands are a bargain and of good quality. Pharmacist is very good. Prices are decent, but also sign up for VIC discounts. Garage parking plentiful but limited to 2 hours, just push the button on the meter when you arrive. Both regular and self checkout available.

Great grocery store. Very good daily deals and sales. Subs are great. Butcher is great. $5 fried chicken on fridays is amazing. Make sure to sign up for their rewards program.

Quality and variety are excellent. Thursday is prime rib day and its awesome! The potatoes and veggies with the prime rib are not. All kinds of ready to.eat foods and great quality. Great variety of produce and very fresh. Service is kind of lacking sometimes, too many customers, not enough cashier staff even the self check out gets overwhelmed.

Does not accept contactless payment options such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, or contactless credit cards even though their payment terminals support it. For some reason, they have turned off this feature. Contactless was available for a brief period of time when the store first opened but they turned off the feature at their credit card payment terminals.ID is required to get their savings card. I shouldn’t be required to furnish ID to get items on sale unless it’s alcohol.Otherwise, the market is fine. I hope they decide to serve their customers better by accepting contactless payments and not requiring ID to get discounts on purchases

For a grocery store wedged into a condominium building, its laid out well. The variety of foods, including fresh foods is pretty good. The employees are friendly and helpful.

Good shopping experience as usual! Little light on some basic items but they just need a bit of restocking from the Turkey day rush.

Harris Teeter Customer Assistance on Gallows Road was very kind last week. I forgot to give the checker my coupons until I was stowing groceries into my car. Walked back in with my receipt and coupons and Customer Service reimbursed me for the coupons, over $20. Thank you Harris Teeter

The prices are surprisingly good considering the area. Service is hit or miss, but generally positive. The location is very convenient for car, foot, or public transportation.

Quite and fast

Parking at this little shopping juncture is a slight pain (its a carpark), but definitely manageable. Folks here have been friendly and helpful at every visit.

The birthday Oreo cake was delicious and the balloons were beautiful.

Store is clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Frequently items which are on sale sell out quickly leaving empty holes on the shelves which never get restocked before the sale ends. Parking is tight and can be a nightmare at times. There are many check out lines but rarely are there enough checkers staffed at such a large store.

There was a time when the self checkouts were malfunctioning on everything I scanned and we had to rescan. For ebt users, its very confusing to have to rescan everything. Why not just have the computer tell us on the screen that we cant purchase 1 item.. Not redo the whole thing because of that.

Great store, great manager, named Lisa works there. She helped us check out really fast with a smile when they were really busy.They have Tillamook products moreso than any other grocery store. The packaged and processed food here is whats best. Id go elsewhere for fresh Deli or bread since Covid.

Always helpful and nice staff, great produce and deli selection. Always clean, which is especially important right now. They clean the carts well, before you grab one. Its also a really big store with lots of variety. This is my go-to grocery store for sure.

Clean but shelves empty out pretty quick. Popular items out of stock even midweek.

The rating is with respect to the express lane service. I could have parked and shopped in store quicker myself. It took 10 minutes to answer intercom and another 10 minute before some one even acknowledged my presence. Then 8 minutes before the groceries were placed in my vehicle. I recommend that you pass on the HT express lane its not so fast and very disappointing

Great Harris Teeter Ive been using for the past three years. This location offers a lot of the amenities like curb-side pick-up and online shopping. Its very clean, well-stocked, and has a good selection of items. It also features a spacious parking garage adjacent to the entrance.

This Harris Teeter is by far one of the best. Huge selection of just about everything you would expect. Very nice seating/dining area. The aisles are always full of products and the store is very clean and ready to navigate. I absolutely recommend this store to everyone.

It has a great variety of everything. I go in this store for a quick snack or grocery shopping, and I never have a hard time finding anything I want/need OR someone to help me find something.It has a few registers for self check out, and regular registers with associates who actually have good knowledge of the products sold in the store. The prices arent bad either, even though the first thought when talking about Harris Teeter is cost more I actually find good deals there, even in comparison to other chains of grocery stores around.This location specifically is one of my favorite spots to shop when it comes to grocery stores, and I recommend you visit it some time.

Convenient location, but they often have expired products on the shelf & you always need to check the expiration date on anything you buy (even things you might not normally look at the expiration date of likes chips).

Sorry, but besides your bathrooms always being a mess and overpriced wine, now you cut out the icing in the cookies from the bakery. In addition to the baker handing carts then touching food items.

I love this store. Im there daily. Lol... Theres a guy name Mike thats exceptional. Im not sure of his last name but he works the deli section and does the prime beef on Thursdays...hes always so friendly and helpful😊😊

Prices are relatively high, but they have some good deals (would recommend signing up for a grocery card if you shop here a lot). Great location, a short walk from the metro.Parking here is a pain though, the garage is cramped.

Do not use the curbside service. They gave me expired meat, opened meat and vacuum packed items, a gallon of milk with a giant dent in the top so you could barely get the lid off, and items missing. An overall terrible experience with curbside.

Pros: This is a very good Harries Teeter location if youre looking for a grocery store that you can feel comfortable with what youre buying. They have a great selection of prepared foods that are always fresh. The shelves dont ever seem to have expired products lingering on them, which is a problem at a lot of stores. The store is always clean, bright, and they get you out fast at checkout (plus they have several self-checkout lanes).Cons: Though the store seems big, it has an oddly limited selection of items. I think that a lot of the space is used on fresh items and a huge wine selection. There are several basic items that I go to this store wanting, and find myself leaving without because they just dont have those things. Part of the problem is that the layout of the store is a little weird. For example, I wanted arborio rice, which I knew they had. However, they have rice separated into two different aisles, and the aisle where most of the rice is located does not have Rice on its aisle labels. This has happened on multiple occasions with different items. The store is crying out for those shopping carts that have a little store map on them that tells you in which aisles a lot of common items are located.Overall, really nice store!

One of my favorite grocery stores. They always have something new that doesnt disappoint. I find myself coming back for their amazing selection of frozen meals.

Very clean w/ great staff. It is quite pricey and sometimes they dont have exactly what youre looking for.

Love this store! Just a little biased, my kid works there. But I do end up finding specialty things there that I dont find anywhere else.

Always stocked and clean. Discounts on previous days produce if you get in there early am. I love that! Parking can be a hassle on weekends and weekday evenings.

Expensive, looks like the old farm fresh store, fruits and vegetables were super yucky. The bags of oranges were rotting/spoiled.Not going there againI mentioned the issues I noted to the staff, and they appeared as if they could not be bothered.

In general, Harris Teeters are great stores. This one is certainly the best full-fledged grocery store in this neighborhood. Odd layout due to mixed use building, but it is clean and friendly. My only complaint is high prices!
