Aldi in Parkersburg is a new and fairly new store. The staffing and customer service has greatly improved after their initial opening phase.Great prices, nice selection and very clean store. I really enjoy the produce selection, friendly staff and wide aisles to shop.

Never the same store twice. This store has all the essentials, and usually alot of goodies that are special buys. I find something different every time I go there. Lots of different types of ethnic foods.

Great deals on many products. Some prices can be beat elsewhere but not every day. $250 in 2020 will pack a cart top and bottom if you shop smart. This is the first place I shop to do my monthly shopping for a family of 4, two of which are teens.

Aldis is very into efficiency and their brands are often non-mainstream. This gives them an aura of cheapness. Nonetheless they have many good foods and good deals.

Aldi is smallish, but does the job of larger grocery stores well. The prices on many items is what draws most to shop at Aldi. You cannot find produce anywhere else for the prices Aldi offers. For instance... 3 med.-size, yellow squash might go for around $2. Romaine lettuce (3 hearts) go for around $2.50 or so. A 10-lb. bag of Idaho potatoes typically sells for under $3! Its the same for fruit. Two pounds of strawberries might go for $1.50-$3. A generous bag of apples might go for $2. Blueberries were $.99/qt. this evening!!! Depending on what, specific type of bread youre looking for, a loaf could sell for $.99-$5.49. Were talking, on the high end, some quality breads... multigrain, seeded, sprouted, breads w/ fruit, wide pan vs. thinner sandwich bread, brioche, ciabatta, italian bread & more. Aldi sells their version of popular sodas (if thats your thing), which... to many who purchase soda, is a suitable substitute. One thing I like, is... Aldi sells some vegan (dairy-free, meat-free & free of palm oil/additives/colors or dyed, etc.) foods... almond milk, oat milk, soy milk, hot dogs, hummus, sausages & frozen burgers/chikn patties/chikn nuggets/black bean burgers/asian burgers/etc. *Many vegans will not eat processed foods, vegan or otherwise.* Overall, I love the products Aldi offers. Frequent Aldi shoppers know... to keep costs down, Aldi parks their shopping carts outdoors. They are connected by a chain & key mechanism, with the key fitting inside a red boxlike thing that is attached to the cart in front of it (w/ another box attached to the cart in front of it, & so on). When you come to shop, you put one quarter inside the slot on the red box, attached to the cart in front of you. The chain mechanism detaches from your cart, allowing you to remove the cart. Why such an elaborate operation? This keeps people from leaving their carts all over the parking lot & not returning them to their proper place (many customers want that quarter back, however many simply give their cart w/ the quarter to another customer- a kind gesture in the middle of a hectic day!). Ingenious!!!

Cheap, good, and a surprising array of foods. Includes Hispanic, German, gluten free lines of foods as well as what you would normally find in a grocery store. Ample parking and clean store. Youll need a quarter for the cart ( a deposit) and dont forget to bring your own bags. There are normally plenty of lines open for checkout.

Was super excited about their gluten free foods they have available. My husband recently found out he cant have gluten. So, we were excited when they had good prices on the gluten free foods. Also the fresh fruits and vegetables were good too.

No frills and lower prices on some things. Decent quality products. Produce is just ok,seems to go bad quicker than if bought at competitor stores. Long lines are frequent and cashiers tend to damage some items when throwing them in the cart after being scanned. You self bag your groceries too. Dont forget your quarter for you shopping cart.

Aldis has really grown into one of the best grocery store chains in the US. I love their fresh food, gluten free, vegan & vegetarian options. And their prices, literally, can NOT be beat by anyone else. Their staff is helpful and friendly and they also always have very clean restrooms!! A big plus when you have kiddos.

I love Aldi! The prices cannot be beat and while they dont have a huge selection, it is large enough that you can make suitable meals that taste great! Their imported foods rock and change up the everyday, as well as their organic selections of food and produce. They also have a great selection of wine and beer. The only con is the fact that they do not carry fresh herbs and have limited spices.

If you must have big name brand food, go to Walmart. If youre a typical family looking to eat good on a budget - Aldi is where its at ;) Just bring your own bags and a quarter to rent the shopping cart - dont worry, youll get your quarter back when you return the cart ;)

I love Aldis stores. Ive been going to them since the early 80s as an Army wife in Germany. They have everything you need at great prices. A great produce selection, fabulous meats of high quality, and cheeses galore! And of course little reminders of Germany like German chocolate and coffee. My favorite items. But I also get several other favorite items that are not always available like the German potato dumplings and even Italian food like gnocchi. Which I totally love and adore and of course its awesome fresh from the Italian restaurant in Italy... But Im back in the states. So head out of the clouds. Dreaming wont get me back there again. But anyway I feel like Im back in Europe Everytime I go there. So any former ex- Pat, or military members will love it too! Just stop in even if you never went. Its still a fantastic store and I love it there! Just saying the best selection of produce around this part of West Virginia! Hope you try it.

I cant believe that I went so long still shopping other places! I used to just think of Aldi as a discount grocery store but after finally forcing myself to shop there I have realized that their quality is most often better than any of the other options and that they are always better priced!

Clean streamlined grocery store. Though I find that they dont have as much in the store as they used to. You can generally find anything you need in here. Some prices are a bit higher or at the same price than other stores but mostly lower prices on these quality items.

Three years ago it was great this year when I went back there they only had maybe a handful of gluten free products some people choose to eat gluten free but some like my fiancé has no choice he has celiac disease
