This place is awesome! Custom donuts made to order?!? Who could ask for more? Oh...cant forget about the maple bacon!

Im from NC. New experience because we dont have Ducks Donuts. We have Krispy Kreme doughnuts

After placing an online order and going to another location that ended up being closed we came here. There were only 2 employees, 1 of which couldnt have cared less about anyone walking through the door and the other trying her best to run the whole store alone. It took 30 min and wasnt very clean. The one employee was truly doing her best to keep things running smooth, but the operation as a whole is not good. I dont believe we will be returning to duck donuts, first and last.

If the drive-thru is closed, please just put a sign on it so customers dont have to sit and wait to not be served. Its a simple solution that would go a long way. I know times are tough and places are understaffed, but lack of communication is not out of your control. The donuts are amazing but after the last couple times visiting this location, Ill make the extra effort to go to a different one. Hope it gets better.

The donuts are way better than any of the chains. Plus it is locally owned. The donuts are pricey it was almost $10.00 for 6 however they werent your basic glazed or chocolate covered. They are a cake donut which is definitely more filling than the others. If you like to customize your donuts this is the place for you

Recommended by all and didnt disappoint. Lots of unique domuts that are made fresh to order. Fun to watch being made while waiting. All donuts were tasty. Cant decide on a favorite yet!

Our family loves Duck Donuts. However, when we walked in today to get 6 donuts, which should be a less than 10 minute event easily, we were told the wait would be at least 30 minutes. There where 4 employees working hard and only 1 other customer waiting for their order. Mobile orders and Door Dash are great, but how can the customer that walks into the store in person be given such a low priority? During the short time we were there, another couple and another family walked in, and then immediately back out after hearing the same news. The company as a whole and this individual franchise need to work to a better solution. I highly recommend Duck Donuts. But, I surely would never detour out of my way to stop at this store given the priority of work and order fulfilment.

How in the world is this business still open? I paid for 2 dozen donuts, left and returned back 2 additional times and still only received one dozen and STILL HAVENT RECEIVED A REFUND for the dozen that I did not receive. Manager didnt know how to do a refund and Rich, whoever that is, still hasnt contacted me. People are nice though, buuuuuuut.....

This review is specifically for the Virginia Beach Blvd location. This crew is AMAZING!!!Ive been here about 4 times. Twice just the drive through with no complaints! But I really want to tell you about the walk-in experience. Both times I was welcomed with a smile! This crew is very organized and proficient! Ive never waited exceptional long and never felt ignored. This is a great location of youre looking for great Donuts!Each time I didnt have any cash but I wanted to tip these great guys so I emptied my ashtray change into their tip jar. They are truly worth it!Thank you for the great customer service and welcoming attitude! 👏👏👏

They need staff. Called in order and a voicemail took it . Called again to confirm and guy said didnt check vm so reordered. Arrived and after standing there 5 minutes was waited on and told they hadnt started my order. Time was if the essence so I cancelled the order.

They are so unorganized and confused.. Expect a very very long wait too. Employees were nice but thats it. Just nice. Nice aint good enough to keep a business running. 10/10 wouldnt return.

The donuts tasted good. The guy at the window was not friendly and when I said thank you he completely ignored me and closed the window. Very rude!

Great donuts. Super soft and freshly made to order. I wish we had a place like in Iowa. I always get a donut here at least once when Im visiting family.

Love the donuts and the variety of flavors offered! The blueberry icing was a tad too sweet, all the icing were really sticky. Trying to remove the donut from the box was a little difficult, it felt like the donut would fall apart because they were stuck the box. Besides that they are delicious!

Google AND the Duck Donuts website say this location is open until 7 PM. It is NOT. It’s only 2:45 PM and it’s closed. Drove here from the oceanfront because parking would be easier, and now we have to drive back to the oceanfront and try to find parking for that location.

I’ve been to Duck Donuts in Rockville and it was very good. We tried to go to the one by the beach. It was closed. So, we came to this one. It was open, but, when we went inside, we were told that the were not taking orders. The shop was open, and people were inside, but they weren’t takings orders. No explanation was offered. We left and went to Okie Doughkie. Best decision ever as their donuts turned out to be so much better!

Disappointed experience, I was in duck donuts yesterday at 12:10, I ordered a dozen of donut, worker said I can wait in my car and I pointed out my car to her. After 20 minutes, I saw the the person had ordered after me get their donuts before me, so I walked in and asked if my donuts are ready. They said no. Obviously the worker forgot my order, and the machine is down. They give last dozen of donuts to the people after me. They explained the person after me called prior me, but I saw the person place their order after me order and pay in store. They look the order, it shows my order was placed earlier. All in all, they said they will give me a refund, but could print out me a refund receipt. I spent till 1pm due to all these issues, I am half a hour late to be back to work and I have lost half an hour pay. It is such a bad and disappointed experience. Two points was given based on prior experience, but the management is down.

This place may as well be called slow-as-fxck donuts. 2 times theyve somehow messed my order up. Had to wait an hour past my pick up time today for an online order they gave to someone else. Saw 2 employees arguing. Its clearly a stressful job but damn take the fighting & stress to the back.Donuts are the bomb though. These are the best donuts out there but this vb Blvd location needs more employees or better management.

The cashier was not helpful in explaining anything about ordering and the coffee she gave me was cold not warm or anything. The donuts were good though

Good doughnuts but you can never get them. Every time you go there they tell you it’s a 35 min plus wait for doughnuts, doesn’t matter peak or off peak hours. It’s the only thing you you make and you can’t do it. I’m done with this place.

Completely disappointed with my last visit, and Ive absolutely never been disappointed with this company whatsoever. This locations menu is lacking, and the customer service was beyond dissatisfying during my last visit. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this location. I highly recommend taking your business to the Norfolk outlets location instead. Hopefully those reading this have a much better experience than I did.

Service is a bit slow here, but there is a drive thru which is the first time I have been to a location with this option. You just cant beat that fresh cooked donut taste!

Amazing donuts. There was about a 30 minute wait. But they were busy and making them fresh. Take the opportunity to get some coffee and come back.

Called their phone three times to place an order and there was no answer. I get there and Im told that it will be 35 minutes for an order. Horrible customer service and management. I expected better from Duck Donuts.

Very convenient location, and you wont find fresher donuts (unless you go to one of the other 2 Duck Donuts locations) anywhere else locally. All their donuts are made to order and hand glazed, and the donuts just melt in your mouth. They also have good coffee as well and breakfast options other than donuts, so it is a great place to drop by for to satisfy your breakfast needs on your way to work. Definitely a must try if youre visiting the Hampton Roads area.

This is quite literally THE WORST duck donuts in va beach ! I literally waited 20 min for 3 donuts 🥴 they never have iced coffee and everybody walk around like this is their first day. They close at odd hours and it’s just an entire mess.

This is such a cute and awesome local donut shop. It was a nice break from Dunkin and Krispy Kreme. There’s a glass window off to the side so you can see how they’re made and it’s really neat . Lots of options and a single donut is around $1.60 . Oh and they all came out nice and warm and theres directions on the box to reheat them for 8-10 seconds in the microwave to enjoy for later. Plus, they didn’t mind giving us a small cup of whipped cream for our dog to enjoy. Pay a visit and you won’t be disappointed

Best donuts in Virginia beach, maple bacon and French toast are my favorites, the donuts are made fresh and hot, you can even watch them making the donuts, pretty fast service, this location has a drive thru, the inside is small, no seating, but the boxes the donuts come in are perfect for eating in the car on the go lol, great for the whole family so many delicious options to satisfy everyones craving.

Shout out the the group of youth staff who were left alone to contend with an insane Valentine’s Day rush this Sunday morning. Not only were they inundated with online orders, they were also short on supplies and my heart goes out to them for the conditions they faced today. Great work!

Even though it took a little longer which the guy was super respectful about it and apparently the fryer was making tiny donuts. They wanted to go beyond to make sure the next batch of donuts were the correct size. Yummy

Amazing donuts! Easy to get in and out if the location. Not too crowded when we went on a Saturday morning at 8.30ish. Donuts are cooked to order so nothing is fresher.

Normally love their donuts but was sorely disappointed to find this location was closed despite Google and their site saying they are open until 7pm ! Very disappointed about the lack of communication to customers for something as simple as store hours!

They were not open at 7:45am which is an hour after their hours say open. Also people were in there working but doors were shut.

The hours on Google and on the website said they are open but the door was locked. No one was at the drive through either.

Duck Donuts seriously have the BEST donuts I have ever had. Donuts from anywhere else have become inferior and disappointing.Their customer service is great as well. I had a mix up with my donuts a couple weeks ago and Tyler, the General Manager could not have been more helpful and friendly. He even gave me a free 1/2 dozen for my inconvenience.Duck Donuts are the only donuts in town, in my opinion.

Our friends raved about this place when we visited Virginia Beach so we figured we would try it out. We ordered a full dozen with one of everything. The service was fast and friendly and they did a good job of making them. The dough is soft and warm. However, they were a little bit too sweet for me.

Need to update your hours on the website. I drove an hour based on hours posted only to be told that they closed at 2pm .. very inconvenient and inconsiderate

Yes yes yes!!! They were so great and patience since I had young kids with me. The coffee wasnt great since not hot but was still delicious. Donuts are amazing! So many different kinds and you can make your own picking up the stuff you want on. Its so great. They cook them right when you come in.Deff worth the try. Wont be disappointed.

One of my favorite places in VB!I like the bare ones and the ones with the chocolate covering. They are just so delicious and taste like a homemade 🍩The people who work here is ever so nice and very wonderful.

So where do I even start..... this place is not only SOY free but is extremely aware of all the allergens used to make the donuts. As a person with an allergy to soy and peanuts. Its very pleasing to both me and my taste buds whenever I do not have to deny nor limit myself within a place because of my health concern. This is NOW my favorite and only go to donut place in the VA area. Thank you very much for you dedication to your customers.

Every time I go there in the morning its 10-25 minutes for a cup of coffee at drive thru obviously I cant wait that long but this morning woman said 25 minutes and I asked why is there always such a long wait for just a cup of coffee she sarcastically said were busy have a nice day I asked if there was a mgr and she said I AM the Mgr, have a nice day and signed off Very disorganized store if you cant get just a cup of coffee! Btw, I notice you only thank the great reviewers when you should be thanking the ones that are letting you know whats really going on there.

Visiting Virginia Beach and my wife was telling me how good this place was so me being a newbie to Duck Donuts I ordered the smores dozen and it was purely amazing. Plus, we accidentally left the donuts in the car while we were on the beach and they didnt melt. I highly recommend this gem.

First time customer. I ordered online which went great I received a message that my donuts were ready to be picked up, being that I was a little ways away by the time I made it to the location it had been 20-30 minutes since I received the message to come get them. Upon entering I came into contact with a female who seemed to be the only one working, while I see her interactions with everyone else seem pretty nice once she came to me, she was extremely rude as I asked her basic questions. I greeted her with my name and before I could get the full name out she says “it’s not done yet” very rude so thinking maybe she needed my name considering she cut me off and I can see a pile of donuts ready I explained to her that my message had said they were ready, she then says “there not I just finished a big rush you’re going to have to wait. It’s not like I have an assistant around here who is just hiding your donuts”. I then proceed to go to my car and wait, when going back in to get my order I can see her handing out, physically, other people’s orders but once it came to mine she just pointed at them and walked away as if I was a bother to her. All in all, I won’t be back to this specific location but the donuts were great. Thank you.(I came in between 11-12)

My husband was in the 3030 Virginia Beach Blvd location on 9/25/2020 at 5:55 pm. When he walked in the cashier Nathan used some inappropriate language while I assume talking to a coworker in the back about something on tv. He then rolled his eyes at my husband. So my husband ordered not even choosing a variety as just to purchase the donuts and leave. Nathan told him the price was $15.11 and my husband went to hand him the money which was 2 rolls of quarters. The cashier just stared at him. My husband asked if he was going to take the payment and Nathan rudely asked how much it was. My husband said $20 dollars. So Nathan yelled to the back “Yo are you going to count this? “ And his coworker replied its your customer, you count it. To which Nathan sneered at my husband Ill take your word for it. He then gave him his change and donuts and my husband left. This is the second time we have had less than stellar service at this location.

Huge fan of Duck Donuts! This is the location that got us hooked years ago. Today wasnt much to praise about. They already had donuts made and in the box when we were ordering. Highly dissapointed we didnt get the fresh and hot, made to order donuts we love. I still gave 4 stars...ultimatley because they are usually amazing. Today just wasnt our day 😔The donuts tasted overcooked as well. It wasnt the melt in your mouth that we are use too.

We ordered 2 dozen donuts and every donut came out as ordered. The donuts are more cake like which I really loved! While the online website offers a good variety of toppings, once we got to the store other seasonal options. Good treat!

100% best donuts, but DO NOT get their hot chocolate. I ordered a large hot chocolate and saw the lady tear open one of those small hot chocolate packs you can buy at 7 eleven, pour it into my cup and fill it with hot water. The taste was absolutely horrible, Im guessing the packet is meant for a cup half the size because it was so watered down. A donut shop should be making very good coffee and hot chocolate, not making it worse then 7 eleven hot chocolate. That is why its getting 4 stars instead of 5.
