Great coffee! Great staff! Whats not to like? Good vibes!

Visiting on vacation and decided to check this place out. Very friendly staff, affordable prices, and really delicious/authentic coffee. try it!

Fathom was a daily stop for my family and I while we stayed on the beach! They are a small third wave roaster with some really great coffee! I suggest doing the pour over and lounging out on the back patio or a cold brew nitro. I especially liked their packaging. They bottle their beans which is really awesome! Great work Fathom! I am super stoked about the beans I am bring home with me!

It’s a beautiful coffee shop and they also have talented baristas. The fresh cakes and sweet treats are the perfect add-ons. We stopped here with my friends for we were craving coffee French Vanilla flavor. It tastes so good. Must try!

I am not surprised this place has five stars. The service is fantastic, the vibe is perfect. I went here on a whim and it brightened up my whole day. Beautiful patio in the back to chill and nice coffee too

Come over for the pour over! Excellent selection of coffee beans for your cup of Joe. Holds its own in the vibe district full of coffee options. Would repeat on my next visit to VA Beach.

Very friendly staff and amazing coffee! I stumbled upon Fathom Coffee in search of beans to bring home, and went back each day of my trip to VA beach. I cant speak to the beans yet, but if the iced cappuccino and nitro cold brew are any indication, then I have no doubts they will be just as amazing!

Great service...but I think some food options would be an excellent idea. Even simple sandwiches or muffins. Coffee was not bad. I would go back for sure to try a different brew.

GREAT pour over coffee and super friendly staff!The people working there were very helpful in helping me decide what kind of coffee I would like, as I’m very indecisive. Also it’s some of the best just straight up coffee I’ve had. If you’re looking for lattes or some specialty espresso drinks, don’t go here.

This place is amazing. Nano-roaster great coffee. Pour over Yemeni coffee was one of the best cups Ive ever had. Owner was a wealth of knowledge and great to talk with. You should go if youre in the VA Beach area.

My wife got me some Ethiopia sidamo beans from Fathom Coffee and it made some of the best tasting coffee I have ever had! I just got some more and will definitely be going back.

I had the opportunity today to try Fathom Coffees most excellent locally roasted single source coffee while attending an early morning local business networking event at 1701 Virginia Beach Coworking. The brew was delicious and smooth and I am kicking myself now for not buying some before I left the event. I will be returning soon and I will definitely be bringing home some of their excellent roasted coffee beans when I do.

I really needed to edit my original review, as I got a (much longer) chance to play with the Poseidon Espresso. As I messed around with the grind and ratios, I finally hit the sweet spot with extraction..And I had to lift my review from four stars to five. I can admit when I’m wrong. ;).I can truly say, I pull an outstanding double espresso with Fathom Poseidon Espressos! I’m not even using a Breville Oracle Touch (as stated on the back of the jar), but that’s pretty close to a “god shot”!———————-Original Review———————-Fathom Coffee is a great addition to the Virginia Beach coffee culture! I’ve been looking for a locally roasted coffee bean, that fits my pallet, every sense I got stateside from Italy. And, Fathom Coffee has hit the nail on the head, not just with proper roast and an ingenious method of off-gassing their beans, the flavor was spot on (with some grinder adjustments). The Fathom Poseidon Espresso, was very well balanced in terms of flavor. And the customer service at Fathom Coffee...absolutely wonderful.No product has ever reached perfection. Anyone that believes that their product is perfect, is lying to themselves. So, here are a couple possible points for improvement.1. Espresso is normally without oil. Oil in coffee affects the ability to achieve crema, which is important to most people (not all) in the espresso world. Crema adds to the visual appeal of espresso, but nothing really in terms of flavor, it is just foam, really. The more oil, the less crema. The Poseidon Espresso, contained small traces of oil, so it’s a little lighter on the crema.2. On my normal espresso grind setting of “3.2” using an OXO grinder), Poseidon Espresso came out a little on the lighter side. But after going a little finer than normal, I got the punch to the tastebuds I was looking for. I would have liked to see a little bit more strength in flavor.Overall, I’m very pleased with my purchase, and I will be a returning customer! I’m very excited to try more of the Bob Werby creations at Fathom Coffee! Thank you for a great product!
