Flawless experience. 9+ year old macbook pro, apple store told me they wont even look at it, and its definitely your graphics card and logic board, quoted a $600 fix. They did, at least recommend Shiny Computers. Within 15 minutes SC diagnosed the problem, fixed it, upgraded my RAM, and installed the latest OS for $105 (including tax).If youve got an apple product, see these guys before anyone else. Cant recommend highly enough.

Great experience! We could hear our Mac turning on but couldn’t see anything. Ended up it needed a new display cable. Shiny Computers was super quick, very friendly, and well priced. Dropped it off in the afternoon and was able to pick it up that evening. Also, checked for any other issues. I would definitely use Shiny Computers again and highly recommend the business.

I’m so thankful I found Shiny Computers! I originally went to them to purchase another macbook air charger after searching and figuring out their price for a brand new one was significantly cheaper than anywhere I looked up online.Then, ironically that same day, I spilt a drink onto the keyboard. I contacted them and they immediately guided me in the next best steps to do to avoid any further damage.They stayed in communication with me throughout the process of trying to figure out what needed to be replaced and tried some things before wanting any payment.They were able to fix it for a really great cost and it was ready within days! Further, they warranty their fix for an entire year. So far its been working great and I have all of my documents and data still!! I will continue to recommend their services to everyone I know!

LOVED my experience. My keyboard & trackpad on my MacBook Air 13 weren’t working. I had my real estate exam on Friday and I brought my computer in on Monday. We chatted about what was going on with my computer, found out it running on a 5 year old update 🙈. The next day I got a call that he found the issue with my computer and I could pick it up that day. The cost was affordable and definitely better than buying a new computer. The service was great, the technician was knowledgeable and also self taught. He updated my computer and I am nothing but pleased and grateful. I will refer all my apple friends to this shop for any of their apple needs.

I went in here for a hard drive failure. The technician was informative, approachable, and swift. He replaced my cable in front of me in a span of 10 minutes.

Got my screen fixed once and it cracked the same day, probably because a defect. When I talked to Chris, he was awesome and they replaced my screen again for no cost. Took my Mac Mini in to be looked at. Was not booting up properly. Called me in 3 hours and said was ready. Very fast and honest place to go. I Dont even think about going somewhere else. Been dealing with them from their first day in business.

I can’t say this enough... Shiny Computers saved me!!! And saved my wallet thousands of dollars. Discovered an issue with my MacBook Air, so I took it to the Apple store. After a long wait and one diagnostic test later, I was told that I was sh*t out of luck and would need to purchase a new computer. I was told my logic board was bad... which seems to be their go to response. After spending the rest of my evening in utter frustration and disbelief, I landed on shiny computers from my internet search. I went to their location on Holland Rd in Virginia Beach the very next day. I prayed that they would have a solution for me... and then I met Tania. SHE WAS AMAZING. With a smile, Tania seemed to have total control of the situation and told me she would see what she could do. Within MINUTES, Tania had a solution to the issue that kept me up the previous night. Honestly by far the best place to go if having issues with your Apple products or wanting to purchase one of their products... everyone that Ive met was understanding and empathetic about my situation (MacBook Air had liquid damage and was basically casted aside by the official Apple Store and had unsure options from Best Buy- the only good thing really that came out of those two previous encounters is that the repair techs recommended Shiny Computers) which was honestly heaven-sent info at the time. They worked on my mac and really gave me a comprehensive review (in laymens terms) of what the issue was; and what are my options. The complicated diagnostic work that went into really figuring out what parts were viable seemed like it would cost me an arm and a leg but it ended up being free. They are overall great; they genuinely care about their customers; they are transparent and did not come across as salesmen people- the service I received felt personal and not formulaic. So glad Ive stumbled on this amazing place... will definitely be coming back for future repairs/upgrades.

I’ve been going to Shiny Computers now for several years to service all of my Mac products. I have a mid 2009 MacBook Pro that runs like new thanks to them. I most recently took my late 2015 iMac to Hunter to have the HD upgraded to a 1TB SSD. It was very sluggish, taking as long as 5+ minutes to open the heavier Adobe apps I use for work. Now it boots in less than 10 seconds, and my apps open even faster. I’ve also had touch screens replaced on iPads, and have even purchased iPads from them. Great service, fast, always friendly and professional staff, and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend.

They had a few Shiny computers but they were overpriced.I felt as if the management was condescending.I do give it 2 stars though because they do have a good warranty for their overpriced old Mac ComputersI need to delete my review of the other location. I have not been there and did not mean to leave a review for that location.
