A great place to get tools that you need at an affordable price. The place is usually well-stocked. Their selection covers a wide variety of jobs. They even have a clearance section thats good to check out to see if theres something you need at a discounted price. The staff are polite and professional. They are following Covid guidelines. Recommended.

I never understood what makes women take sooo long shopping for stuff until I experienced coming here. Solar panels, welding tools, trailer accessories, engine hoists.. I finally caved and bought a huge Rambo knife just because :)

Good place to get odds and ends... if you e never been its worth a look. Some stuff is a good deal... some not. Seems to be improving as time goes on. Lots of cheap items can add up fast! Lol

Awesome in store experience, products, well we all know you get what you pay for. I had an amazing experience dealing with the staff, a young lady Emily helped me, as well as at check out, very courteous and was able to answer a couple questions I had. We even discussed the come back of some of the Pepsi flavors! Give the girl a raise! Employees like her are a keeper!! At least give her employee of the month, and a gift card, something for her efforts in these trying times!

I love being able to afford a tool I need, but the quality of some items, (cheap clamps, cheap plastic saw horses, plastic containers) are not great.Never really had a problem with any power tools. Always fun to shop here.

Came in just checking the place out while in the area. Found a tire for a boat trailer wed been looking for for years. Felt like a kid in a candy store. Left with a few things and will be returning.

I came here to get a buffalo lock at 7:30 on a Saturday evening. The store was spotless and everybody was working. The young girl asked me if I needed help and when I told her what I was looking for she directed me exactly to the place where they were. I got what I needed and was checked out within 10 minutes (the man in front of me had a whole cart full of stuff). The clerk at the checkout was friendly and polite and it was a good experience. I dont know if they carry everything everybody needs but they had what I needed. I know from experience, for my husband buying things in the past hes been very satisfied with harbor freight.

Harbor freight has been a long time favorite for tools and supplies at great prices. Not always the highest quality items, but definitely not the lowest quality. Over the years they have added more quality options. Never have complaints about HF, and the location in Virginia Beach was just as clean and easy to find what I needed as most others I have gone to. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Went to buy something and it has the ticket where you take it to the counter to get it, well there was none. So why have it there if you cant purchase it, a waste of time if you ask me. Not a very good Harbor Freight.

Nice niche hard to find tools. If you need top of the line, then maybe this is not your place to shop but if you need that tool you may use just a few dozen times and dont need to drain your bank account for the name brand, this is a nice place. Coupons are easy to find and good for most of the tools they have. I go there often and amazed at what you find.

Tools that get the job done.But for lasting a while that a different subject but hey if you just need it for a one time deed your good .Some others tools last longer than expected but on a budget you cant beat it.

Harbor Freight is the Dollar Tree of tools. Some good buys and others are so-so. I bought a palm sized orbital sander (Chicago Electric $34.99) that has a mini dust collection bag on it and holes in the sanding disc head to allow the fan on the motor to pull the material away from your work surface. It has a hook & loop type faster for the sanding pads. It came with 1 pad. So right above the sanders are the replacement pads. Good deal. Bought different grit pads to get the job done. The replacement pads have the holes like the sander. Good deal. Not until I get home and attach the Harbor Freight replacement pad on the sander do I see that the replacement pads only have 5 holes and the sander has 8 holes in the head. So the pads they sell fit size wise but the holes are USELESS. To use THEIR replacement pads you would have to buy a hole punch set and make your own holes. Guess the pads were made in Vietnam and the sander in Thailand, who knows.

The place to go for good tools-cheap!

Harbor freight tools is great if you need a tool on a budget. The hand tools are great, Ive only bought one electric tool from Harbor Freight, a 12 inch sliding miter saw that Ive now had for about ten years and have used on dozens of DIY projects, never had an issue. I havent had to do any returns so I cant speak to that but if youre on a tight budget and need a tool harbor freight is the place to go.

They make you wear a mask even when you are healthy, staying 6 feet apart from everyone and have vaciations. What a nonsense. This fear driven coustomer engagement has to stop.

Make sure what you are buying is what you want. They have a 20% restocking fee which is outrageous. I purchased an item for $54.99 plus tax that I found cheaper elsewhere so I returned it and there was a $11.00 restocking fee. The item was a drywall screw gun still in the box. The box size was 3 wide by 9 long. I told the gentleman I would return it to the shelf but no they just want your money. Very poor policy. I could understand 5% restocking fee but 20% is crazy. The item I returned weighed maybe 2.5 pounds.

Lot of low priced tools, some tools better than others though for sure. Some are great deals and some are what you pay for.

I’ve been to this Harbor freight three times this month and have been very very impressed at the management and cashiers that work here. They’ve always gone above and beyond to try to help me find what I’m looking for and are concerned about the customer been happy with their purchase. Today was another example of the manager and staff (Tiffany / Jessica) Providing excellent service in my mind above and beyond. Then They helped me locate a super heavy item from all their black Friday items but then also help me go through all my coupons and come up with the best deal for me. On top of that they loaded this 150 pound item I bought in the back of my truck before I could get out of my vehicle and help. Again excellent service we would never hesitate to go back.
