I used to love coming here to purchase plants, but something has changed. Im not sure if theyve changed hands recently, but it isnt what it used to be. The prices are far above the others in the area even McDonalds. I know the pandemic has forced some places to raise prices, but not like this. I went in with the rose tag I bought last year hoping to find the same- which they had, but the written price was $36.99 and last year it was $24.99. The rose bush still had the original tag that said $24.99 on it but in marker was the new price. Everything I looked at appeared to have the same thing done which is making severely marked up. I did appreciate the staff members willing to show me different items, but never again.

Go to Jack Frost every week for hay for my ducks and vegetable plants in the spring. They also have neat gift plants during holidays! Everyone is always so friendly and helpful. Prices are very economical. So much better than big box stores.

This place has a great product but they will not fill a half yard of material (at least compost/soil mixture) after noon on Sunday. I had purchased 2 yards earlier in the day and came in about 145 to order a half yard to top off my last job. Despite not being busy, they refused- they did make sure to tell me I could purchase a full yard and then ask the guy the dumping in to only pour half. I get it, its probably a money saving policy but so is taking care of your customers.

First time there, nice place. Found a good deal on a few plants!

My husband went to get large river rock for a project we are doing in our yard. The guy who was loading the rock into the bed of our truck just rolled over on the front end loader and started dropping it into the back of our truck. Rock went bouncing everywhere and scratched the paint on our truck as well as the back window. My husband yelled for him to stop, which he did. He then proceeded a bit slower, but the damage was already done to our vehicle. When we called to notify the office what happened, their response was basically “It’s not our problem. We aren’t going to fix it. Feel free to take us to court.” They defended the employee’s actions by saying he was “seasoned.” There was absolutely no regard for his mistake and the fact that he damaged our vehicle. We will not be going back.

They have black beauty! The only grass I can get to grow in my yard. The staff was amazing too 😊

Went to Jack Frost today for the 2nd time in two weeks both times I was helped by a older guy, real nice professional and helpful no complaints with him . Went inside bought almost $200.00 in plants . As I walk back outside picking up all the plants I paid for and start loading them in my car the woman from inside who watched and helped me check out runs out and asks me about two plants I picked up and asked to see my receipt. If I realized at that second she was looking to see if I took something like a thief I would of unloaded all those plants and told of she can have all of it back . This was the blond haired woman who I can only assume is the manager . I just want you to know I’ll never come back here maybe YOU should keep track of the merchandise ppl are paying for in front of your face before you run out and assume someone is stealing from you .

This is the second time we have purchased hardwood to burn for the winter from Jack Frost. The first time, we received a normal amount of debris; dirt, saw dust, mulch and bark. This time, we received a ridiculous amount of this extra waste. I called them and they did not really offer a solution except maybe sending someone out next week to pick some of it up. They dumped the wood in my driveway where I normally park my vehicles and expect me to wait til next week for them to maybe pick some of it up? This was uncalled for and I will re-think purchasing from them again. Buyer beware!!!

The old man that works in the store is so professional and knows his plants! Friendly and responsive, he helped me with all of my green thumb needs!

I picked up a cord of firedood for a great price. Awesome wood nice big pieces. They loaded the wood for me with a front loader. Great helpful staff. In and out

Went in there today and looked at the mulch and rocks for my house. Spoke to the owner and staff, very nice and professional. Had a great selection of everything I needed and at a fair price in my opinion. The shop was clean and welcoming. Would recommend you stop in and see for yourself :) will be definitely going back! I placed my mulch order for delivery and will be getting the rocks soon.

Do not trust this company. They are negligent and do not follow through with proper safety measures. One of their landscapers broke our window and they refuse to pay for the damages. They are not a trustworthy company.

This is a great company! I had a lot of yard clean up work to do and needed some landscaping put in around a shed we added. Linwood had wonderful ideas and at every turn made suggestions on how we could accomplish our goals in the most cost effective way. The crew that came out was professional, friendly and efficient. I feel like I have a fresh start in my yard! I plan to bring them back in the spring to put in a patio. I highly recommend them!

Needed some landscaping rock for a project. Picked up #57 grey at a reasonable price. Had it dumped into my truck with no issues. Easy to deal with.

This is a very neat place! I just wish they would carry a larger selection of trees, shrubs, and plants ( or even more of each item). I would shop here more often! The past few times I visited, they had very limited quantity last year. This place would look so cool if they had tons of plants and trees to walk through like bigger garden centers/ nurseries.

I finally visited this place last Saturday after passing it for years. I went in looking for hostas for my front flower bed that I am revamping. I was greeted before even walking in the store and I believe his name was Steve, took me to exactly what I needed. He even loaded the plants onto a cart and wheeled it inside, then helped me to my car! This is the reason I try to shop at smaller, local places when possible. You are lucky to even get a worker to look your way in some of the big retailers. I will be back here throughout the season to see what else they get in stock!

Great experience. Started at home depot because its close and convenient but the line was insane. Good thing I ended up at Jack Frost because the product quality was far better and the customer service was amazing!

The customer service there is great. I have been there twice and they have been courteous and helpful each time. I will continue to buy my plants and other plant products there.

I purchased 2 cords of wood, delivered. What I got was an enormous pile of wood, dirt, mulch and organic debris dumped in my driveway. This is the filthiest firewood I have ever seen. I usually pay my gardener $25 to stack 2 cords of wood, however given the scope of the clean up effort I had to shell out $80. We have been spraying this firewood with water for 2 days, attempting to get some of it clean enough to bring inside.

They may be small and have a limited selection, but their products are of high quality. Their plants are healthy, I would say a lot more healthier than some of the other bigger kids on the block. Looking for some boulders, they didn’t have any and directed us elsewhere....we did purchase some nice looking lime/lemon trees at a very good price. Good place, will be back.

Great prices on bulk compost

I called Jack frost for an estimate on yard drainage. Woody arrived to give me a estimate, he was not very helpful to say the least. I had 4 other companies out prior to get competing estimates and jack frost was recommended by a friend. Woody looked around, he was not taking measurements and kept making excuses about the project it sounded like he didnt want to work and or do the job. He also mentioned how expensive it would be. I ended up just telling him that it seemed like he did not want to do the work and told him to leave. Would not use this company for anything due to the quality of personnel and the lack of work ethic. We ended up going with AMC911 for our drainage issue and they were extremely professional, knowledgeable and technical. They also guarantee their work and they were very reasonably priced. ((AS you stated below that is a blatant lie, I told woody the neighbors had already agreed that any work that needed to be done we could have access. He chose not to go over there and talk with them. Feel free to call me if you like but I in no way shape or form stopped anyone from going anywhere or doing anything. Also woody said it was not a good idea to grade since the grade would have to be so high and would cause water backup to the house. I did say I did not want to grade due to the fact that is not a long term solution and would cause other issue. To which I conferred with a civil engineer on the best options for a long term solution. was drainage basins and french drain with selective grading. ))

Stopped by because I always pass this place going to and from work. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable, and they had a beautiful selection. Really neat furniture sets too!

Jack Frost did several landscaping jobs at my house. Didem is knowledgeable and has excellent ideas. James and his crew are awesome. They are responsible, respectful, and go above and beyond to make everything beautiful.

We ordered a cord of split, seasoned firewood for the 2nd time. Opted for delivery and the entire process was very professional. The split wood is always well seasoned for our wood stove and the delivery driver was on time and provided a courtesy call before arriving. We will definitely give them a call again when we are in need of firewood.

They need to train their drivers better. Theres no way the guy driving their f750 on 10-18-18 morning on dam neck road is good to drive. Rapidly changes lanes without signaling. Nearly caused two separate accidents in a span of 40-50 seconds by changing lanes without looking or signaling with cars right beside him. Noone wants a small dump truck rolling on top of them cause the driver is incompetent.
