I was very surprised at this location of CPR, Ive been to other locations over the last few years and this one was by far the worst. I wouldnt trust them with any electronic repair. I came in for something quick and easy and it was the exact opposite.I came in for a simple ZAGG screen replacement and no one knew how to use the machine. They called another coworker to guide them but I guess it didnt help. They tried playing with it but apparently the software needed to be updated, whatever. I was asked to come back later that day and they would have another store cut it and bring it over so they could just slap it on.Mind you while I was waiting during this, another customer came in and mentioned she had been there 3 times now to get her phone fixed and each time they dont have the part in stock for some reason, though they normally carry it, and that they would bring one in for her. She straight out said, I get told the same thing every time by you guys. Luckily 3rd times the charm and they had it in stock.Anyways, when they called me to come back that day, I came in with the intent of just getting the screen put on quickly. That wasnt the case, they didnt have another store cut it, they just tried to use the machine again. Which, surprise, wasnt even updated yet!Dont trust these guys, they dont have inventory, and they dont know how to use simple machines. This store has been open for 3 years now, theres no excuse for this type of service.

If you found my review helpful please hit the like button.My buddy and I sell steak, seafood, and chicken across Southern California, Nevada and Arizona, along the way we hit every dive bar, greasy spoon and haberdashery and I enjoy sharing them with you.I had reviewed this establishment previously and gave it five stars and wrote a detailed review of my experiences with them, I have brought them several repair jobs previously and was happy with their work.When my sons Xbox1 refused to power up I didnt think twice about where I was taking it, despite the fact they are on the opposite side of town and I would no doubt drive past a dozen cell phone/electronics repair shops, I took it to CPR and trusted them with the repair. Upon inspection the technician seemed pretty confident the internal power supply was the culprit and wrote me an estimate based on replacing that, the estimate for parts and labor was $200.00.Three weeks after I left the unit with them I had not received any updates so I called them and they explained they hadnt had a chance to get to it yet but would soon. I wasnt upset and called them a few more times in the weeks to come. Finally (aprox. 3 weeks later) they called me to tell me they were getting started on it and it seemed strange when barely fifteen minutes later they called to say it was fixed.When I picked it up it was explained that no parts were replaced or repaired. They had simply removed the cover, squirted it with compressed air and it was fixed! Despite not replacing anything the bill was still $200.00. I didnt argue with them, I knew it was 100% BS, but truth be told it bugged that they played me for an idiot. Bottom line, I wanted it home for my Son, but knew I no longer trusted them at all.When I got home and plugged it in it still didnt work, and then it hit me, THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE XBOX UNIT! The problem was the power cord that I had not brought to them with the unit. I ordered a new power cord from eBay and when it arrived it didnt work either? I was sure it was just a bad unit and the Xbox was still in my truck, I was near CPR and I decided I would drop in to have them plug it in with their power coed so I could nail it down. ALL I WAS ASKING THEM TO DO WAS PLUG IT IN, THATS IT. At first he started writing me a new ticket explaining it would be another $90! I explained I had already been way overcharged for the original repair. He went on to explain that cleaning it out was a delicate procedure involving dozens of tiny screws and one slip and the unit is destroyed. It was total, laughable Bs and he even had the temerity to suggest I not search out YouTube videos on the subject because they make it look really easy and it is actually a very precise operation. He further explained that they do this all the time and $200.00 was what they always charge. Again, total BS right to my face. He explained he was too busy to stop and plug in my unit but a helper was due in any moment and they would call me so I could see them fire it up. This was Friday and guess what? Did you guess no call? You were right. I was busy Monday (no call) so on Tuesday I went in and demanded my unit back.I checked with U-break I fix cell phone repair about 300 yards down the road. I never mentioned my experience with CPR, he quoted me $50 for what he described a a tear down and deep clean. I called three other shops, the quotes were $50, $50, and $75. He didnt lie about one thing, when you watch the YouTube videos it does look really simple. To add insult to injury I had my wife call CPR for a quote on blowing the dust out of an Xbox, she was quoted $150.I hate yelp but I am signing up just to write a similar review there and will be presenting this to the Better Business Bureau. I may take them to small claims.95% of my reviews here are positive, I enjoy promoting small businesses, if I have a bad experience I just dont write a review unless something is way off. CPR abused the trust I gave them, they were dishonest with me, they treated me like a fool.

Great service, my phone was not charging I thought I had cleaned it but they got in there and fixed my charging port

I paid $18 more for a “warranty” and a phone screen replacement and then the screen broke right away. I took it back to make use of the warranty they said it didn’t apply it was bogus basically. The term warranty was very misleading and I then asked them to return the warranty money and they refused that as well. If you go there don’t pay extra for the warranty it’s meaningless

Ive been coming here for years now, the staff is very knowledgeable and very honest. I did have an issue once but they were able to help me out and make it right. I would highly recommend giving them your business. Parking is a breeze and they do have a lot of cellphone cases, chargers, holders etc. On hand.

My camera and flashlight were not working on my iPhone. Alex fixed it quickly at a reasonable price. He was super friendly and did an excellent job. Highly recommend this spot.

Every 6 months or so my top earpiece gets dirty and muffled and I cant hear phone calls. Since the apple store is closed, I looked for another phone place to properly clean it since I dont feel comfortable taking it apart myself. I found this place and Alex was super helpful. He had it cleaned within a few minutes and didnt even charge me. Support this place whenever you need anything for your phone and you wont be disappointed.

Low quality replacement parts! My son paid like $245 to have the back glass, on an iPhone 12 repaired, only for it to break again in like 2 weeks. My son went back and is again being charged the same amount to repair their shotty repair job. Do not trust this place!

JI Phone repair or CPR phone repair off of Hacienda dr in vista is the best phone repair business in North County. My wife and I have taken numerous phones both apple and Samsung to them and have always been happy with their service. Today I had a message stating that my I phone had been infected with a virus and had over 100 similar messages and calendar reminders. I took the phone to T-Mobil where I was told the phone would have to be wiped clean losing all data stored on the phone and the I-cloud. The gentlemen at CPR cleared the messages and so called virus in two minutes. I highly recommend them to all my friends and family.

My friend Stephanie brought her iPhone 10 in today to have the screen replaced. Alex was fantastic. Took care of everything and provided incredible customer service. He was friendly and the job was completed within a couple hours. We highly recommend!

My iPhone 7 stopped working out of nowhere. I suspected it was a bad antenna because it no longer connected to the network. I took it in for repair and the staff was vet friendly. They diagnosed the issue and it was something else and not rhe antenna. I ended up trading it in for anew phone but they still did a great job.

They did a good job fixing my broken screen. I got a quote via Yelp and they were responsive. He was pretty busy so he quoted 2 hours which I was fine with. Came in and it was finished. All nice and new looking. The screen looked comparable to the original. Pricing is about the same for other competitors.

I needed a place to fix my phone and hate calling places to get quotes so I look many places on yelp and they answer right away. Went on my lunch break and they fix it very fast. Thank you JI for not leaving me “phoneless “ 😂😂😂for the day

Dropped off my phone 2 months ago. Havent heard much from the.. they keep saying its still getting fix. Really disappointed ive wasted 2 months waiting when they could have told me they couldnt fix it and i could have tried else where. Poor communication skills.

These guys did an excellent job repairing my phone. I had a cracked screen and a broken aux cord stuck in the phone jack. They fixed them both fast and cheap and my phone looks brand new. I highly recommend them to anyone needing phone repairs.

My iphone 6 needed a new battery and JI Phone Repair did the job in just one hour for a very fair price. The young man who helped me was knowledgeable and polite. The work was done well and the phone is as good as new!

Ive been using JI phone repair for years, since at least 2015. I went to the Escondido shop before 2018, and was willing to drive out there (from vista) at the time because theyre the best repair shop in SD. In 2015 I had a phone that had been extremely damaged and during what felt like an impossible fix was met with the owner Juan who was very sympathetic . I have children so everything on the phone was important to me (my fault for not backing anything up at the time), but he took something that I felt was dead and made it brand new again. I couldnt thank him enough. The staff at the Escondido shop was also phenomenal ... When I came in after that for other repairs I was met by Alex working the desk... He was extremely helpful, kind, and always with an upbeat attitude. There was a time in 2016 the weekend of one of my childrens birthdays where my child dropped my phone in water ... I needed my phone for my childs birthday for pictures, family & friend calls ect, so in a jip within hrs they fixed my phone and got it back to me before the party started so I didnt miss a beat, service always being 10-10.So in 2018 when my construction working husband who has bad luck with every phone in his possession completely cracked his screen and frame, I was so happy to be able to visit the newer shop of Juans that had opened in vista. Walked in to find a familiar face working the desk, it was Alex. He was so helpful, very thoroughly explains things, was communicative while working on the phone (the phone was old and needed parts from other shops and he was willing to go out of his way to get what he needed to get the job done), & got it fixed for my husband very fast. The old phone again went from destroyed to brand new ! We were thrilled, listening to why my husbands phones end up this way he also found my husband a durable case to help prevent any further accidents lol . You dont go to JI without getting quality service & something most places lack in customer service which is feeling like youre family when you leave there, because they care so much about the customers needs, youre not another number to them, I find most businesses lack that type of quality work. And ill never go anywhere else for my repair work.Updating after more years of excellent service. When I wrote my last review I had only had phones repaired by them, and always amazed with their work. Now my children are growing up and wanting devices of their own to play games, so of course I thought to go back to my fave tech guys and purchase my boys tablets (getting name brand for better prices than having to get them low end tablets for more at retail stores, was so worth it) but with these being my young childrens first times owning breakable items, inevitably they did indeed start to crack and be pulled off the charger in a animalistic manner lol. I brought them to Alex after now having had him help me for years, fix my babies screens and issues my boys had caused knowing the tablets were in the best hands. He kept in contact with me as always with his great customer service and great upbeat attitude, going out of his way and doing way more than he needed. That Im so appreciative for. Before taking my basically new tabbies home to my boys we suited them up with screen protection and cases so that I hopefully never need to bring them back to fix. In my opinion he couldve charged more for his labor because he went above and beyond but I appreciated that he gave me a great deal and their warranty is the best around. I always recommend them to friends & family, their one of the best businesses in north county, Ive always left with a smile.
