Got to meet Jimmy Don there. He was signing pieces that you purchase! Right across the street from Magnolia gardens and Silos.
We bought great iron pieces for Fathers day. The young man didnt seem friendly at all as if he didnt want to be there.
Cute little shop with a few items for sale. A bit pricey, but thats to be expected with custom work
The folks working here are always so nice.
Jimmy Don is so nice in person!!
Bought a new piece from them..loved it
Come on its Jimmy Don what more do I need to say.
While visiting The Silos in Waco, we had to take in Jimmy Don’s iron work. JDH Iron Designs has a trailer across 8th Street from Magnolia Market. We wandered over from the market and looked over some of Jimmy Don’s work. We picked out a few pieces paid for them. The cashier said that Jimmy Don would be happy to sign the pieces we purchased. Turns out, Jimmy Don is at his trailer most afternoons and is more than happy to sign his work and have a picture taken. Jimmy Don is a real nice, down home guy – a true gentleman. The next day we were taking a drive in the country outside of Waco. We found ourselves near Jimmy Don’s shop on Lone Star Parkway near Valley Mills. We stopped in and did some more shopping and watching. Jimmy Don has a picture window in the retail area so shoppers can watch the craftsmen work in the shop. We bought some items we hadn’t seen at the trailer.Everyone there was so very friendly and we had the good fortune of meeting Jimmy Don’s wife, Lori. We were glad we stopped by. When we got back to Waco, we swung by Jimmy Don’s trailer. He was there and he graciously signed the metal work we bought at the shop and autographed a T-shirt we had purchased. If you’re in Waco to visit The Silos and like metal artwork, stop by Jimmy Don’s trailer or take a drive out to his shop – you won’t be disappointed.
I met Jimmy Don at his place in Waco. He was so down to earth and we all talked for probably 30 min. He signed the back of the plaques for us too. Just a regular guy and yet very sweet.
This was in a nice spot right by the Silos so easy to get to. Jimmy Don was actually there and he was so friendly and talkative - He even said “let’s take a picture” and signed something my mom bought. They had some nice stuff there but not a lot of variety it seemed. We went here and the shop he has outside of town and same thing - not too much variety. Also pretty spendy. They had some cute fall/Halloween decor today.
Shortcut to find Jimmy Dons Waco place is go out the back side of the Silos and walk across gravel parking lot. Hes a real nice guy! Worth your time!
Enjoyed this immensely. Great work that you know was done by JDH Iron. Jimmy Don was there and we were able to meet and chat with him. Very gracious guy. Great work.
Very nice
Quaint but nice
He does really nice work.
Got to meet Jimmy Don!!!! Hes SO sweet!!!! Bought a very cute sign, too!
