We had a particularly unusual and tricky installation. Despite his very busy schedule, Jay visited several times to make sure that we bought a product that would work for us and that we would be happy with. Plus his was the only company that carried a product line that would actually work for us. Well, he knocked it out of the park! Because of the difficulty of the installation, he personally oversaw it on the day that his excellent (and very nice) installers put up the awning. We LOVE it! Our only complaint is that we didnt do it years ago. THANK YOU to Jay, Zack, Paula and the installers. We couldnt be happier from start to finish.

I couldn’t be happier with my new awning. It’s fantastic! I am now able to enjoy my morning coffee while watching the neighborhood birds or read a book in the afternoon in total comfort. I’m amazed at how much cooler my deck is with the awning out. It operates very smoothly and the wind sensor is great. The install was quick/easy and the installers explained everything I needed to know clearly and concisely before leaving.

My motor-driven awning worked flawlessly but its fabric was faded and mildewed, so I paid Mr Awnings to install new fabric. Three months later Mr Awnings technicians did so. I was out of town that day, but the next day when I tried to extend the awning, it would not move. After several tries, it extended, but then it would not retract. After several tries it retracted but it moved abnormally slowly; and then it would not extend again. Apparently the motors protective thermostat had been cutting off power. Inspecting the awning, I saw that the fabric was cockeyed; it was not rolling straight, smoothly, straight and flat onto the aluminum roller. The fabric was severely wrinkled and its wrinkles overlapped and formed creases. The numerous overlaps bulked-up the roll so much that it jammed the awnings mechanism.I e-mailed Mr Awnings manager Paula Salem and proprietor(?) Jay Salem. I included several photographs of the overlapping wrinkles, etc. Mr Salem said -- FALSELY and with no evidentiary basis -- that the problem was due to me having incorrectly measured the length of the awning; and he totally denied that Mr Awnings had any responsibility for the problem.My photos showed that the length of the awning was immaterial. The fabric was not straight/smooth/flat on the roller even when the awning was extended so just two turns/wraps remained on the roller. The fabric was crooked and not aligned with the awnings mechanism.Before Mr Awnings fabric replacement I had taken a similar set of photos that showed the old fabric perfectly straight/smooth/flat on the roller at all times. I sent these photos to Mr Awnings but they were disregarded.I asked Ms Salem and then Mr Salem to send a technician and/or to come himself with a tape-measure to observe, diagnose, and to correct the problem. Neither has replied.My awning worked flawlessly before Mr Awnings careless and incompetent installers screwed it up. Now my awning is unusable. I am seeking compensation in MA Small Claims Court; but Im writing this review hoping to save others from harm such as I have suffered.I will send copies of my before-and-after photos to anyone who asks.-Chuck Counselman

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Mr. Awnings. From the first time the owner came out to meet me- everything went so smoothly. The large choice of colors, sizes, and accessories was wonderful so I could customize what I wanted. Installation was even more smooth, and very professional. No mess left behind. I used the services of Mr. Awning for much needed shade to enjoy the benefits of having a deck that got full sun. I called Mr. Awning and a very helpful Paula was my go to person for the home visit and the date of installation plus any questions I may have had before the installation. The representative who came to my home was prompt and went over the options for materials, extra features such as strip lighting and powered electrically, placement of the awning, and explained if having powered operated the need to hire an electrician for an outside outlet. The awning install could not be on the roof ( per the instructions of my condo association) but instead installed under the roof line and gutter with sturdy brackets which were perfect to keep the awning secure. The cost is determined by the style, size, and any extras you might want for the awning. I paid by check. Paula called me when the awning was ready for installation. Two installers came to my house, unpacked the awning and materials for installation onto my deck. No complaints as they did a fantastic job in about 1 hours time. The awning operation was demonstrated as to what I can expect when opened using the remote or manual and reversing to close. The men were very good about removing the packaging. It was clear the installers had experience and worked well together focusing on the task at hand. Followup by Paula was made as to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend Mr. Awning for installation, and quality of product for anyone who is looking to invest into the need for shade to utilize their outside deck or patio.

Recently had a fairly large awning installed by Mr.Awnings and could not be happier with the process from A-Z. Zack arrived on time and fully COVID compliant to take a look at the location and provide information on all the options. We settled on most of the particulars (they waited patiently to complete the order while we picked the color) and placed the order. The awning arrived and was installed in the time-frame expected (actually a bit earlier). The install team was great. Very polite and professional and also COVID compliant. We reviewed some location details and they got to work. When finished they showed me how to use the remote and covered some other operational details. Job was done in a timely fashion and clean up was complete (aside from the new awning you would not know they had been here). I highly recommend them if you are in the market for an awning!

Recently, my awning brackets pulled away from the house in a sudden wind gust. I was able to stow the awning, however, this created a hazard to me and my tenants, as the awning is hanging off the side of the house. I called Mr. Awning and explained the situation to the person who answered the phone. I was told it would be 2-3 weeks, after 3 weeks, I called again and spoke to the same individual, I was told 1 more week. I was not given a date. I called several more times and I was given the same excuse, it has been 5 weeks now. When I call and I do get someone to answer, I feel as if my problem is of no significance to this company, primarily due to the attitude of the person answering the phone. I was told to look for some other company to deal with this problem. I have resorted to looking for another company to put a few lag bolts in. This will secure the unit and allow us to safely get on with our lives. I have to say I have been satisfied with my service in the past. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied to think, I can not get an answer to my distess call. If I have to call another company. I will not recommend Mr. Awning to any of my friends and aquaintance.

I placed a request for a call via the webpage for an awning for my front porch. The company responded within 48 hours. Zach came and talked in length about my options and sizing. His knowledge of the product was excellent and he gave me good options. The awning came within the estimated time frame. When the crew came to install it they were professional and did an outstanding job. It looks great and I have my coffee every morning under my awning. I would purchase from this company again.

Excellent experience. We got an appointment a couple days after I submitted a request on their website. They happened to have an awning in stock that fit our needs perfectly (which is not typical right now - due to supply chain delays), and they came and installed it the next day (again not typical - they just happened to have an opening). So it was 24 hours from purchase to install to using our fantastic new Sunesta awning. I couldnt be happier.

We had a wonderful experience dealing with Jay in purchasing our Sunsetter awning 2 years ago; he was courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient in getting our order placed.....and when an errant gust caused some damage recently, he was quite responsive in getting replacement parts ordered and having his team get it back in working order.
