All of their baked goods and tartines were delicious, but I have to give a special shout out to the croissants! The lamination was literally perfect, and the flavors I tried were the most delicious versions of those croissants I have ever tasted (red velvet and pistachio)!! Eat the croissants fresh, because they won’t taste the same after a day! Flavors seem to rotate daily, and if you come too late, they do run out!
Loved this bakery downtown. Cool space and their selection of pastries is delectable. We loved their juice selection, too, and our breakfast sandwich was really tasty. The patio is pet-friendly and they try to have different entrances and exits for covid protocols though most people dont follow the arrows.
Amazing baked goods but get here early. Came for a few things and left with an $80 bill. Served Olympia coffee which is one of the best roasters in Washington (imo)
When a local told me that the Walla Walla Bread company was a must-visit while I was in town, I went straight there for my next meal. Holy great banh mi, Batman! It was DELICIOUS. Maybe too delicious. Its a good thing I dont live in the area or I would visit much too often.
We really enjoyed our food and the ambiance of the restaurant. The staff were really kind and helpful especially since we have multiple allergies. They were very accommodating with food substitutions. The food is a bit pricey but the quality of ingredients is excellent.
Delicious breakfast! The breakfast sandwich is very good, cooked to perfection in the oven. The scones were also quite good.
Best Lunch Sandwich I have had in several years. The staff are friendly, helpful, and professional!
Sort of a mixed experience, but still good enough to warrant a 4☆. We did a to-go order, which actually came out fairly quickly. I had the tuna melt, and it was excellent. She had the Greek Salad, which was a rip-off. A whopping $15 for a paltry pile of lettuce, a couple cucumber slices, a few olives, a sprinkling of feta and dressing...definitely only about $3 worth of actually food, plus a tiny portion that left her needing a follow-up stop later on. We went during the car show, so it was crazy busy, warranting our to-go order instead of waiting in a line out the door for a table.
Absolutely some of the best, high quality, freshly baked bread you can buy anywhere in the States.
All the baked goods here are legit! The almond croissant was especially (and unexpectedly) delicious. Dont miss the banh mi, the carmelized pork filling is sooo good.
Delicious pastries! 10 out of 10. Would go again. 😋
We were intrigued to visit, based on the owners participation and success in a national baking competition on Food Network. Sunday morning breakfast was amazing, with all the dazzling pastries on display.I am a foodie from way back, and was impressed with all the talent and teamwork I saw. We were only disappointed that we did not meet Michele Pompei, or his wife, who co-own WWBC.I not only highly recommend a stop here, when visiting Walla Walla Wine Country, but that you come in EARLY, to see all the creations before they sell out.Beautiful and delicious!
One of the best breakfasts in Walla Walla. Also the bread is great to take wine tasting!!
The food was good. The service was terrible. No one behind the counter seemed to know what was going on. They were yelling orders and most disturbing they were yelling at customers. Very disorganized and very disappointing. We will not be coming back.
Beautiful space, dazzling creations. Would love to go back.
Fantastic pastries! Lovely folks who work here. The salmon lox was incredibly fresh. I would absolutely recommend!
I have to give them 2 stars because I had to go back 3 times to get a loaf of the bread I wanted. At 2pm the first day they were out of almost everything (they close at 3). The next morning I went back at opening (8am) to purchase their daily special only to find out that it wouldnt be out of the oven until 1pm (they still close at 3).The 3rd, 4th and 5th🌟 🌟 are because their product was worth the hassle.
Only ate dessert here but it was amazing. There is a large wood fired oven visible from the long counter with seating. Try to sit at the counter if you can - you can watch the chef prepare meals right in front of you. The chocolate souffle took about 20 minutes to cook, and we could watch it rising in the oven the whole time. It was delicious and moist and a total bargain for the price. The berry cobbler was also good. For a wine-loving town there wasnt an extensive wine menu, but what was available was good.We were here later in the evening about 45 minutes before close and service was quite good. Everyone seemed happy to be there. Next time maybe try happy hour as they have a great cocktails menu.
Amazing pastries in so many flavors! The staff are very nice and helpful too!
Great establishment with an excellent assortment of different types of food to eat.
Great spot for breakfast! Delicious pastries and juice
Walla Walla Bread Company is a wonderful place to grab a delicious baked goodie for your delicious coffee. Their lunch menu is delicious and being able to watch everyone do there thing behind the counter. The front area where the tables and umbrellas that block the sun are comfy and welcoming. I recommend this place. I wish they would open on Mondays and Tuesdays. Wonderful place 💟
We stopped by Walla Walla Bread Company by happenstance around lunchtime and I was pleasantly surprised. It looks like just another bougie Seattle-esque restaurant from the sidewalk, but its hearty, tasty food at reasonable prices for the quality and quantity. Staff was lovely and attentive and answered our questions with patience. The pizza combo was perfect for splitting between two people with some leftovers for later.
World class bakery! This is a must visit.
Walla Walla Bread Company has the most consistently excellent baked goods Ive ever encountered. This comparison includes hundreds of boulangeries, panotecas, and all manner of facsimiles. I further submit that some of the crusty elegance can be attributed to the climate and aridity, such has been my experience with similarly situated entities serving sourdoughs in Colorado, for instance. Finally, its reasonably priced, has a lovely seating area both in- and outside, and hires friendly staff.Communion Bakerys Portland team would enjoy a visit. This is a wonderful spot!
Ill start by saying some things on their menu looks good/tastes good. My girlfriend had the grilled cheesed tomato soup which she liked. I made the mistake of ordering the masterpiece, assuming they would only put a little of the spicy jelly on the sandwich. However they covered the outsides and insides with it. I didnt really like the taste of it so the meal was inedible. I gave a 3 star rating because my girlfriend like her food.
Stopped by for lunch. We had a bowl of the tomato bisque and a chicken mushroom grilled panini. Soup was fresh, light and tasty, not too sweet and heavy on your palate. Got a couple loaves of whole wheat sourdough. Crust was thick and chewy and the bread had a great texture. There is a viewing area and if your timing is right you can see the bakers working the dough!
Mothers day and wine release weekend at the ssme time. It was busy, but very well organized. Great food, fun staff.
Quite possibly the worst service I’ve ever had. The people taking the order and at the order pick up area were incredibly rude. It was unsettling I didn’t expect it at all. The food was ok, after several attempts to order things they didn’t have, and of course rude about it like I’m ordering the wrong thing.Just bad. So disappointed
Everything tasted good but the actual bread was hard as a rock and burnt to the point it was black
We just had a small snack. Apple muffinYummy. Nice restroom.
The avocado tartine can be made vegan if you leave the ricotta off. Pretty standard, but a decent breakfast spot considering how limited vegan options are in Walla Walla.
The staff were all courteous and pleasant even though the restaurant was super busy. Great food!
My panini was really good. Chicken with grilled peppers and onion plus extra parmigiano. So good! I saw the pizza coming out of the oven and I will surely try it next trip!
Bacon & Eggs was closed so we hopped down the street for breakfast. Visiting from Portland, we weren’t sure what to expect. Everything is very fresh- my hubby ordered a waffle w/ PB, bacon and candied nuts and loved it. His side of eggs came out before the rest of our meal so we sent them back and had them bring a fresh side with our meals. I had the corned beef hash, which was good but a tad on the dry side. Also had a cheesy scallion biscuits which was to die for. Mimosas are delish. Solid breakfast place.
The best breakfast and pastry in town
Great food great service lovely venue.
What a revelation! Fancy pastries and artisan sourdough on par with those one would find in large foodie cities, a good mix of traditional flavor combinations (apple danish, for example) and new and interesting takes (like pistachio cream and apricot danish) and great meals as well!
Very tasty! There were so many wonderful pastry and entree options - hard to choose just one
What a place! The bread is hand made from scratch and compliments every meal they make. You have the option of a dine in or take out menu. They have amazing seasonal dishes but the service is great year round. This restaurant is family friendly and has a lot of room for groups. There is a small bakery where you can get a wonderful assortment of breakfast pastries.
Great breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, sausage
The best bread!
Outstanding pastries. Better than I have ever had anywhere else. Breakfast items were extraordinary. In a league of its own. You must go there.
Yummy beautiful bread!
Love how fresh everything is. Love the quality of their breads.
Had a great breakfast sandwich!
Great lunch in between wineries.
Not what it used to be. No more pastries, and no more of the beautiful breakfast items on the pictures. Disappointing.
The food was awesome!. Seating was outside, which is fine but the seating area was dirty. The food prep staff was awesome and very nice. The front counter people were less than stellar and not very friendly.
Menu and service feels lackluster compared to local competition. Annoying buzzers beeping loudly all over outdoor dining area, tables too cramped, avocado tartine is very difficult to eat with hands or with utensils. Feels like business is dependent on bacon and eggs having a long wait.
Listen Miss Sassy-pants just let me know up front I’m getting charged individually for the latte flavors. And when it totals to $8 don’t give me the fake and patronizing “sorry.” Been here a few times and feel like the concept is great but often leave with an off put feeling.
Mixed visit. I ordered the Normandie Tartine. It was overall very good. The bread was amazing and it is a bread company so points there. Loved the Gorgonzola when I got it in a bite. I had hoped the granny smith apple would be a bit more of a standout and bring some tart crispness but it was rubbery and had no flavor. I belatedly decided I would like a juice and randomly picked the Purple Haze. It was palatable. My husband ordered a Grilled Cheese with no tomato. The person taking our order must have heard grilled cheese and tomato soup. They did correct this mistake but after the fact we noticed that there is a $4 price difference (in the restaurant’s favor) that was never corrected. I’d definitely go again but thought this trip was not a great impression.
Great pastry, though the hipster wooden board plates were a little impractical, lol
Quick service, good selection on their menu for breakfast. They have an outdoor patio.
I ordered the chicken salad sandwich, and let me tell you... This is a sandwich that will return to me in my dreams! Perfection! Delicious buttery fresh baked bread, creamy sauce and big tender chunks of chicken. YUM! It came with a side-salad, which they forgot to include dressing for, so that was a bummer, but everyone makes mistakes! Will definitely visit this place again when we are in WW.
So good! Loved everything about it - even if went there for breakfast during COVID. Highly recommend!!
Great bread and treats. The menu doesn’t fully explain what your order will have. I ordered the avo toast and it came with a mountain of ricotta. The bagel and lox came with cucumbers and some kind of mixture that felt like mayo more than cream cheese. French toast was pretty large so order down if you don’t eat a ton.
My new favorite place! Amazing 👏 ❤
Great breakfast place.
Fresh breakfast and hot coffee!! Love this place.
The fresh juices are really good. We ordered a dulce de leche pastry and the avacado toast - both were solid breakfast options.
If you only have a short lunch break I wouldnt recommend it. Also their gluten free sandwich may be made with gluten free bread, but if you are sensitive to cross contamination I wouldnt trust it. It got me.
WWBC USED to have the best breakfast sandwiches in Walla Walla. I can no longer say that about this location. Under new ownership, its not the menu that we have all grown to love. :( I wont be back.
Ive been 3 times now and each time everything is just very meh. The coffee they use is horrible! Ive tried 3 different coffee drinks and have not been happy with the flavor of coffee/espresso each time. Ive never ordered off of the regular menu but have gotten various pastries each time Ive been in. They are all very meh like I said before. Not worth the calories. Ill stick with the Patisserie around the corner!
Great breakfast and iced coffee
Its great place
Good food and drinks, awesome staff
My mom, our friend, and I went here for lunch. The food was delicious and I enjoyed it tons. Only downfall is lack of seats for parties of 3 and 4, which made me had to eat by myself, instead of with my mom and our friend.
This place was okay. Is a bit crowded for a sit down place. I definitely prefer the Maple Counter for breakfast over this place. I personally liked their food better and the portions were better. The best part was the fruit.
Fabulous find! We came in on a very busy day and was a bit worried that we would wait for a table and food. Nothing to worry about. The service was great (especially since they were slammed) and our food was beautiful, delicious and we’ll worth what we paid. We took home some pastries for later—amazing!
Pleasing experience
I didnt know what to expect, and what amazing flavors from my Masterpiece sandwich! Try it for yourself.
No waiting service. Pay for water. Waited over an hour for food.
I really liked the food. It was priced about mid range for lunch. Half sandwiches available under $10. Nice setting, beautiful displays of baked goods! Friendly wait staff, they kept us well stocked with fresh water. I like not having to ask.
