I had heard wonderful things about Flares Bridal from a few friends so I decided to make this boutique the first stop on my hunt for the perfect wedding dress. From the moment I made my appointment for a fitting to the moment I walked out of the store, I was not disappointed! Parking behind the boutique was easy and they had an amazing selection of dresses. I had the pleasure of having Lisa, the owner of Flares assist me for the day. I was accompanied by my mother and sister, and we all instantly connected with Lisa once we walked in the door. Having Lisa assist me was truly wonderful, as she really took the time to find dresses that complimented my unique style, figure, and budget. In the end, I fell in love with the very first dress I tried on (which Lisa picked out for me), but I also fell in love with the top portion of another gown that was from the same designer as the first dress. Lisa let me know that she could actually contact the designer of the dresses and put them together to make a custom dress for me. We were sold! I would highly recommend Flares Bridal + Formal to anyone, and I cant thank Lisa enough for making this such an unforgettable experience to help me find The One! Im excited to return for my alterations and cannot wait to show everyone my incredible custom dress!

I went to Flares to shop for my wedding dress, I was in a time-crunch as I had less than 5 weeks before my wedding day. Lissa was my stylist and she is absolutely amazing, knowledgeable, skilled and professional and also warm and friendly!She pulled out many dresses within my budget and she was extremely patient with me. Lissa was never pushy, which is the problem with most bridal stylists I saw elsewhere. I also want to thank her for being so prompt at refunding my holding deposit when I changed my mind about the dress I picked! Thank you so much 🙏🏼

I had a wonderful experience shopping at Flares. This was my second experience trying on wedding dresses and I was really excited to come here as they carry dresses by a specific designer I was interested in. Unfortunately, they didnt have model I was really interested in, but they had another dress by another designer that was almost identical and that I ended up loving even more! It was an easy yes to the dress and I cant wait until its arrived and I can try it on/go through the alterations process for a perfect fit.

Lisa answered the phone, I was asking for help ordering a veil that I had seen on their Instagram page. She told me “No, it’s too time consuming.” I told her I was looking to order it from them but I just didn’t know the name of the veil I was trying to order, but again, too time consuming for Lisa I guess. If you want help looking for a specific gown or veil, don’t go here. Your money just isn’t worth their time.

I couldnt recommend Flares enough! I found my dream dress! Lissa pulled dresses in my budget and each dress she pulled keep getting better and closer to my vision. She has a gift! The salon itself is beautiful and my two guests and I couldnt stop raving about the experience afterwards.

I loved my experience at Flares Bridal for these past couple of weeks! I had been to one dress shop before and it was overcrowded and not personal. Ray helped me find my dream dress on the first try! I was indecisive at first so I decided to sleep on it. Ray’s friendly, welcoming, and non pressuring customer service gave me the space I needed and 2 weekends later, I said YES TO THE DRESS!!! Today was a dream come true! Lisa was amazing and such a joy on top of being so incredibly talented- from the start she was able to automatically read my mind, she showed me variety but knew the dress for me! My mom sisters and I felt like part of the family. The gowns are gorgeous the salon is stunning with the best lighting. I had two friends who got their dresses here and I’m so happy and proud to say I am now a Flares bride too! Thank you so much again for the best day!

Awful experience and awful customer service. My to be sister and law got a dress and made alterations only to be told a week before the wedding that Tatiana had made it 4 inches too small and had the audacity to tell her that she had gained wait. You. Can call it cultural differences but that doesn’t take away from the fact that she was rude and unprofessional. Avoid at all costs.

This place holds such a special little place in my heart! First off, Lissa is AMAZING!! Prior to Flares I had been to 5 different bridal shops and at some point I stopped having my bridal party come with me because I clearly wasn’t finding anything. Anyways, Lissa definitely didn’t make me feel as if I was alone. She was so sweet, helpful, creative and a huge hype women! I finally said “ yes” to the dress and I wouldn’t have wanted any other stylist with me! This store has a variety of beautiful dress and an amazing staff to back it! My wedding destination has changed multiple times because of family.. it caused me to have a harder time choosing a dress. Maria really made it easy for me and never pressured me to do anything that didnt feel right. They have a beautiful selection of designers from low-high price range. Id absolutely recommend new brides to check them out.

Flares Bridal carries absolutely beautiful dresses. I purchased my dress here and went through the process of alterations and over the span of seven appointments (from original shopping appointment, to pick-up, to multiple rounds of alterations) I am disappointed to say that the poor customer service wasnt really worth the headache. No one listened to my questions or concerns throughout the process, I feel like I was interrupted every time I spoke, and once when I called to confirm the time of my appointment Lissa actually hung up on me mid-sentence. Theyre very busy and make sure to remind you of it constantly, so that it feels like the customers fault rather than theirs that theyre always rushing around and not paying any attention to their brides during appointments. It made the wedding planning process so much more stressful than it needed to be. In hindsight I wish I would have looked into alternate bridal shops that carry the same brands, or at least would have taken my dress somewhere else for alterations after purchasing it at Flares so as to avoid dealing with them more than absolutely necessary. I wanted to love this store but was really, really disappointed.

Dream dress shopping day! Lisa was hands down the best consultant I could have asked for; she was patient, made the whole experience so special, and knew what would look good on my body. The FIRST dress of many beautiful dresses was THE dress. I said yes to the dress and couldn’t be happier that I found it. I can not say enough about my amazing experience at Flares! Lisa and the Flares Bridal team are amazing! I had my dream Essence of Australia dress in mind when I arrived at my appointment but only 2 weeks to order it and have it fitted before I flew back to Paris. Lisa made me feel like a princess - while other bridal shops made me feel guilty for starting the dress shopping process so late. Highly recommend Flares Bridal! I shopped around at several bridal salons trying to find the perfect dress. By far my favorite experience was at Flares. The owner and staff are extremely friendly, responsive, and accommodating. Theres a good variety of selection and when you try things on they dont have the pushy car salesmen vibe you get at some other salons. I found my wedding dress here, they did a great job with alterations, and offer cleaning/preservation services. Definitely check them out

I had been to two other boutiques before I went to flares and had said yes to the dress!! Third times the charm! Ray was my stylist and brought me so many options, and I ended up deciding on something that I would never have picked myself. They have such a variety of dresses, and even greater stylist! Such a great experience, and one to remember forever!

I had been to three stores before I had walked into Flares. I loved how many options they had and how helpful my stylist, Elysia, was! Everything seemed so affordable and there were so many different kinds of dresses. I love that Elysia helped to push me outside my comfort zone and try new things. I would highly recommend Flares to any bride who is looking for a beautiful dress, but doesnt want to break the bank!

I was lucky enough to to end up walking away with the first dress I tried on. Ray was an absolute delight to work with. Before my appt she went over dress options based on my price range and did not pressure me in any way to decide on a dress during the appt. after putting down a deposit sleeping on it for a week, I bought a beautiful Maggie Sottero gown today at an AWESOME price. Can’t wait to go back for alterations, which are also reasonably priced. They really try to work with you here and the team seriously wants you to walk away feeling confident with your purchase.

I have to admit, I was hesitant to make an appointment here based on the few bad reviews, but I have to say... my experience was FAR from what was said in those! Lissa and Amber were SO sweet and attentive the whole entire time and I am so grateful. I’ve been to a couple bridal shops during my wedding dress search, and although I didn’t find my dress here - my mom was able to find a Mother of the Bride dress and it’s BEAUTIFUL. I will highly recommend Flares to anyone.As long as you are clear and transparent with Lissa, she will be the same with you. Thank you so much for everything! Great experience at Flares. Went to a couple other boutiques first with no luck. At Flares I felt like I had so many great options to choose from. I wanted a very specific type of veil, and the seamstress there made it for me. It turned out beautiful. They also have a company they work with for dry cleaning/preservation once your big day is done.

Beautiful dresses for sure. However, I would have appreciated better communication regarding the trunk show. The majority of the dresses that were shown to me were from the show, and they never told me (until the end of my appointment) that if I wanted that dress I would have to make the decision by tomorrow (Sunday). It felt like a waste of time for me as well as the shop to show me dresses that if I was interested in them, I would have to make a haste decision within a day. I would have appreciated better communication and clarity. The bridal consultant just kept saying these are 2021 new dresses, never these dresses will be gone tomorrow and you will need to make a decision if you want to get one of them. Because Ive been to other shops where they clearly stated these are our new arrivals from our 2021 collection ready to be purchased. It was the first time I felt disappointed after a bridal gown appointment.

If I could give 20 stars I would!! Ray was hands down the best consultant I have personally worked with. She was professional, prepared, did not waste time, was not pushy, had amazing energy and knew what would look good on my body. I had no idea I was going to purchase my wedding dress the first day I went shopping. I LOVED IT and my girls did too!! Even though Im not at my desired weight, she fitted me in dresses that made me look and feel beautiful & classy without losing a pound! And she interacted with my guests so well that we wouldve had a group hug as we departed if it werent for Covid.20+ years of making women feel beautiful & elegant on their wedding day is a wonderful achievement. Ray truly is a gift to the industry and I cant wait for my dress to come in to spend more time with her.All of the consultants were friendly, respectful, professional and interacted well with their clients.Ray, thank you so much for helping me prepare for one of the most important days on my lifetime. Recently I had an appointment at Flares Bridal after visiting a few other shops in the Bay Area. I was very pleased with the customer service, everybody was so kind and helpful when helping me select dresses keeping in mind my vision and pricepoint. After trying on a few dresses that were absolutely stunning but just not my dress I finally put one on and just knew I had found my dress. I was never pressured and the consultant let me take my time to make sure I was 100 percent sure this was my dress. I cant say enough how special Flares made me feel and made the whole experience perfect.

Flares Bridal is the best! I went to multiple different shops to find the perfect dress. I started in Southern California and worked my way to Northern CA, lol. When I first called Flares, I spoke with Lisa and I knew that this would more then likely be my favorite place. Lisa was so warm and friendly, and offered so much expertise and guidance just over our 5 minute phone call! You can only imagine how much she helped during our main booking. I explained my vision to Lisa and she brought out the most perfect dress. I was absolutely in love, and it was the first dress I tried on in her shop! Lisa knows her stuff - she is incredibly warm, knowledgeable, friendly, and accomdating. I highly recommend Flares Bridal. Support a woman owned small business! The dresses are GORGEOUS! I had gone here in June 2019 and tried on dresses. I returned back because of the outstanding customer service by Amber. She was very sweet, caring and honest. I love that Flares has a positive vibe when you walk in. I love that your greeted right away and welcomed. I found my wedding dress here and couldn’t be happier. Let me set one thing straight, this boutique has some beautiful dresses and the seamstress and younger sister I believe she is, are super nice!But, this review goes for the owner Lisa. For such a beautiful, elegant and classy shop, she has 0 customer service and it’s truly so sad to see how a business owner of such a place can lack so much professionalism and class herself!When I was asking a simple question she tried to disregard me by saying if I wasn’t the bride I couldn’t speak, ask any questions! She was charging for EVERYTHING. EVERY. LITTLE. DETAIL. Although it had been previously agreed upon that certain things would be done and a set amount was written down and mutually agreed upon, Lisa was not having it. Her Sister was even telling her that it was okay and Lisa was, in front of us the customers, arguing and being rude to the sister! Poor thing, she herself as mentioned, was a sweetheart. When I got told off by Lisa, even the Sister looked over at me and had to apologize on her behalf!Even as we were taken to the counter to pay, Lisa was on the phone and of course, was telling the person about additional costs and while I cannot speak much on that conversation, her tone of voice was just so harsh, no empathy whatsoever and these dresses are not cheap and they mean SO much to the bride! The times I went in, I swear not once did I feel welcomed by her and not once was there a kind smile given or any sign of great customer service.To be honest, as beautiful as the place may offer for dresses, the owner needs to learn some manners and customer service if she wants to continue to be in an industry that requires class.

Flares bridal is by far the best wedding shop I have ever entered. There is true hospitality and wonderful service by the workers there. I felt at home and felt so welcomed by them. They were very accommodating to what I was looking for. I fell in love with the third dress I tried on and bought it immediately, they made it so easy for me to find THE DRESS! I 100% recommend giving flares bridal a visit if you are looking for a wedding dress. Very clean salon, but that’s about it.The little amount of dresses they have does not equate charging people $35 for their appointments. We were in and out within 45 minutesBeware, if you cancel within 24 hours they will charge you $150. Now, if the appointment is $35, where do you get off trying to charge others $150? Especially if someone ends up becoming sick, you’re still going to charge them $150? That’s unacceptable.

What a wonderful experience! I found my dress at Flares prior to the shelter in place. Ray, one of the owners, assisted and helped me find the perfect wedding dress that reflected my personality-romantic, classic, ethereal, timeless, yet modern, to reflect my personality. Even through my doubts, she selected other dresses for me and helped me work through my doubts with patience, and a little fairy godmother magic. I found my dress prior to SIP-COVID19 closures, and my dress arrived in time before my wedding this June 2020. The customer service was great-I received calls and updates and was able to work around my busy schedule for my fitting. I highly recommend this boutique!

Highly recommend!!! The staff at Flares went above and beyond for me. They encouraged me to try on different dresses and I am so happy they did! Then the dress I ended up falling in love with had a 20 week lead time, the problem is that my wedding is less than 14 weeks away. The staff at Flares went above and beyond by calling the dress designer and negotiated to get the dress completed and shipped in time for my wedding! Overall incredible experience!

Had a bit of miscommunication in the beginning, but after speaking with Lissa (store manager) over the phone I was exciting to come to Flares and try on some wedding dresses. The shop is beautiful, with tons of natural lighting, its spacious, has COVID-safe measures in place, tons of dress styles and designers to choose from, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Clare assisted me with my fitting and was amazing; after hearing my style and vision she was super helpful in pulling multiple dresses for me to try on, veils to match the dresses, and she had a really friendly and calm demeanor that made the experience less overwhelming. While I did say yes to my dress here, Lissa gave me two weeks to think on it before she placed the order. This was such a relief having this buffer period, buying a wedding dress is a huge investment so it gave me piece of mind knowing I had time to change if I had second thoughts. Before placing the order, they even allowed me to come in one more time to try the dress on and feel 100% about it before I confirmed I wanted them to place the official order. Ray was there to assist me for the second appointment, and she was amazing as well-- made me feel even better about my dress choice! Overall, Im really impressed with Flares and their team. They made dress shopping fun and easy; I cant wait to come back and see them when my dress is finally in :)

I had not idea what I was looking for, what style, color, etc. Beth was more than helpful and so very patient. After checking out a few more places (where my experience wasnt even close to that at Flares), I returned with my maid of honor and bridesmaids to try on a few more dresses and revisit one that I loved! Im writing this review a bit late but I just needed to commend the lovely ladies who run this boutique for their personalised and sweet customer service. They truly made me feel special throughout the whole process, and were so patient in helping me find my perfect dress. They went above and beyond, the after care and alterations were perfect, and helped my day run smoothly. They made the dress practical and comfortable for my day. Their suggestions and guidance were perfect, and although my wedding was last year I am still to this day being complemented on how beautiful the dress was. I couldnt recommend them more. Wish buying a wedding dress was something I could do again!

This review is overdue. My daughter got married in early October and was the most beautiful bride! The dress we purchased at Flares was STUNNING! Spanish silk and lace. We had a fantastic experience with Lissa Anne. She was oh so friendly and professional. Once my daughter decided on (fell in love with) THE dress, we waited to buy it and I shopped around to see if I could do better on the price. Flares offered the best price by far. And their alterations were wonderful too. I highly recommend (and have already recommended) Flares to my friends.

My daughter bought her dress at Flares. Ray and her staff were amazing and like family.They were very patient with my daughter. She had many visit and tried on all styles of dresses to be sure she was happy. And on each visit Ray greeted us with smiles. She always asked my daughter do you love it? Otherwise dont buy it. She gave us no pressure no stress on purchasing a dress. I wish I could give Flares a higher rating... They are Klienfelds of Walnut Creek.... All of Contra Costa as far as i am concerned. All of the other shops do not even greet you or give you SOME time even if you didnt have an appointment. As they got to know my daughter and her likes, they suggested to have her do several fittings to make sure she gets the look that she wants and not over alter the dress. again very patient. I even had my dress altered here. I really enjoyed the wedding experience with my daughter at Flares and Ray and her staff made it a memorable one.

Rey was absolutely wonderful and made my sisters and I feel so welcomed! They give you 1.5 hours for an appointment which is better than most places and properly showed all the gowns. Lisa was very sweet as well!

Let me start this review by saying I am *not* a shopper and I wasnt one of those to-be brides who came in knowing exactly what they wanted. After trying on dresses at other shops, I had a rough idea of what I wanted in terms of the fit, but was open to trying different designs.Lisa helped me find the perfect dress by selecting dresses off the rack for me to try on. She was extremely kind and professional throughout the entire appointment. Would recommend anyone in the Walnut Creek area to pay Flares a visit!

Flares Bridal made my experience SO special! I picked out my wedding dress here back in January and we had such a great time working with the staff and finding THE dress. :) They were so accommodating to my large group, were patient, kind and shared excitement with us. It was the experience that every bride should have when finding their perfect dress. They even had a She said yes to the dress picture frame that they got photos of me and my group in once I picked the dress! I highly suggest you go with Flares Bridal - you wont be disappointed!

I came to Flares for my first ever bridal appointment and unfortunately it was a terrible first experience! There was a lot wrong with my appointment, but the major issues stem from poor customer service and poor communication. I showed up to Flares 10 minutes prior to my appointment - I wasn’t welcomed to the salon but was instead told by the woman at the desk that I was early and that a consultant would be with me shortly and pointed our group (me +3) to one of the couches. A few minutes after arriving, I was handed clothespins to tag the dresses I was interested in, but was given no other information about the arrangement of the store in terms of styles/designers/prices. My group and I start looking around the salon, and tagging dresses and more than 15 minutes goes by. I was looking for a dress I was interested in trying on, and asked the woman at the front desk, since she was the only person that looked available. She rudely told me that my consultant would help me with that. At this point, my appointment is 20 minutes late and I have no consultant so obviously I am not being helped with this! She then tells me that we are sitting on the wrong couch and that we need to move, even though SHE was the one who directed us to sit there.Finally, one of the consultant’s approaches me says that she working with another bride, but will go back and forth between the two of us. At this point, I was desperate for some sort of assistance, so I agreed. She didn’t introduce herself to me or my family, and it wasn’t until 30 minutes into our already late appointment when she asked for my name and a budget. I suspect she was rushed trying to help both brides in and out of dresses, and I am sympathetic to that, but both of us deserved to have our time utilized efficiently and effectively, and that simply wasn’t the case. Even toward the end of the appointment when I had this consultant to myself, she was aloof and seemed uninterested in assisting me. At the end of the appointment, me and my crew landed on favorite dress. I was told that details of that dress and would be sent to me in a follow up after the appointment. This information was never sent to me and I ultimately left the salon disappointed with my experience and without a dress.

Lissa Anne and Ray are the true dream team! They make you feel incredibly welcome and comfortable. I just finished my first fitting with them and only needed by bustle tailored because the stylist sized me so perfectly. I loved every dress they put me in and I’m so thankful that they made this experience one I will never forget. Kudos to the entire team for giving a bride the easiest part of her wedding. I would recommend Flares to all of my friends and family. Thank you for all you’ve done, I couldn’t be more thankful!

Was in love with the ladies in this store since I first came in. they were as moms to me, honest and caring. I bought wedding dresses from them and they altered both. This is a fabulous wedding dress shop with a great selection of designers wedding dresses and very well priced. I loved my sales consultant and the tailor who altered both gowns.I highly recommend flares to any bride. Defiantly worth the drive.

Flares in AMAZING!!! I dont believe you can put a price on customer service. Rae and Lisa go out of their way to keep their customers happy. They are very patient and helpful. As a mother of the bride, I wasnt sure what I wanted for my daughters wedding day. I knew I wanted the WOW factor but nothing else. I explained the look I was going for and after a year of searching, Rae was able to help me find a dress online that I was excited enough to order. Every time we go to the store, they remember us by name and are always excited to see us. They even make time to stop and talk when I show up without an appointment and they are in the middle of a trunk show. I cant say enough GREAT things about this store. But I can say, that I have found my official dress store for every formal occasion. They are simply AMAZING!!

My mom and I walked into Flares on a Monday with no appointment, just to browse their selection. The owner made time to let me try on a few dresses and was incredibly sweet and honest. She was so conscious of my budget, venue, and vision. I found an amazing dress- she was upfront about sizing and didnt try to convince me to get a bigger size that would require a ton of alterations (a lot of salons will get you there). My dress came SO fast and she stayed late to let me try it on and take it home. The best customer service from hard working ladies!

Horrible customer service experience and racist staff. I went in with my parents to look at veils since I already had my dress. The shop was not busy and we were looking at the veils. A consultant came over and assisted us with the veils initially and said we could quickly use the mirror that was not being used. When we finished and went back to look at the veils we were rudely ushered “out of the way” of the customers with appointments by the owner, Lissa. When I found one I was interested in purchasing the woman rudely asked my mom where we were from. We responded Walnut Creek and she immediately snapped back No, what is your nationality? We were not aware that a customer’s nationality or race was a prerequisite for making a purchase. Needless to say we did not provide them with a sale. I would only recommend this store if you enjoy rude service and racial profiling.

I worked with Ray, she is amazing. She helped me find my dress, she pulled my dress, you really need someone who can see you and pull potential dresses to fit you. She knows how to do exactly that. I never felt rushed or pressured. I came back a few days later after marinating on my top few choices. I just really appreciated the experience. My dress came early, I was out of the country a lot and Ray and her fitting team accommodated me with no hassle. My dress was amazing, it was a wild night and it got really dirty and trashed. I was sure that i had ruined the bottom, but after checking it its just dirty zero structural damage. Amazing quality. Make sure to go to Flares.

If you are looking for a reliable, quick, and non pushy store to buy your wedding dress at, Flares is the place! Two sisters have run the business for many years and with that they bring a copious amount of skills in working as a team to help you. I had a three month engagement and at a normal bridal shop, finding a dress that is not just off the rack is hard to do. I was able to try on numerous dresses, order a dress with specific details, have it rushed, and have alterations done in house, all within those three months. This was a feat by them because it was also during prom season. There was never a time I was stressed about receiving the dress in time, because they are trustworthy and will visibly show you how they will bend over backwards in order for you to look gorgeous on your wedding day! These sweet sisters will become a friend and advocate, for they know you by name, as you prepare to get married!! They are simply the best!

WONDERFUL! The wedding dress I had purchased from another store was LITERALLY FALLING APART (beads falling off, portions of fabric completely gone...worst nightmare scenario) and I am leaving in two weeks to get married! They helped me find a beautiful dress that I could afford, had the alterations done in under two days and they treated me like I was family! They are absolutely wonderful and I would tell anyone to come here! I am so thankful they answered my phone call and told me to come in right away! They completely took care of me! Love these ladies!

I was lucky to work with Ray, one of the store owners. She was super sweet, helpful, and just a joy to work with. Two other brides-to-be were shopping for a dress at the same time. Well, guess what? All three of us said yes to the dress! That has to say something by itself. Its also nice that they have in-house alterations. I will write additional reviews once my dress arrives and for the alterations!

Cheap Dresses and Horrible Staff.I went in to shop for a wedding dress for my upcoming wedding. I had an appointment at 4PM; I arrived at 3:45PM and checked in to let them know I have arrived. Another lady checked in after me for a 4:15PM appointment. I was standing by until they were ready for me. One of the workers said Excuse me ladys this is for wedding personal you need to move and go to the other side of the store. I corrected her saying I was the bride and we have an appointment. Then she said you dont look like a bride. After this encounter I felt discourage to shop here. As I was turning around the lady with a 4:15PM appointment was called to start her appointment.

I wanted to gift an appealing wedding dress to my sister on her wedding, but didnt knew what to buy. At Flares Bridal, they really helped me find the best possible wedding dress for my sister. The staff is really helping and understands the need of their customers. I am really thankful to them for assisting me find the right dress.

The owner to this place is a RACIST if youre a colored women please take your business elsewhere. I called a week before hand to schedule an appointment which the owner booked however she left out the part where a credit card is required to hold the appointment (which I would have happily provided) instead she asked for all my other information and advised that I will receive a confirmation via email. I never received the confirmation so I called and the women who answered was rude and advised me there is no appointment under my name. The owner comes to the phone and denies ever talking to me and offers another day. She spoke over me, was very unapologetic, and rushed me off the phone. When i asked if I can be placed on a waiting list for cancellation for the day she said its unlikely for today due to a trunk show and didnt offer anything else. She asked me several times how to spell my last name LU, LO, LEW, LOO in a mocking way, its not that hard to spell its 3 letters. After having a disagreement with her I finally hung up.My friend called 5mins later and the same lady answered, my friend asked for an appointment and wanted to be placed on a waiting list if they were booked. She kindly booked her after my friend gave her the last name Johnson (which we made up to see if she would schedule it). The customer service is terrible, and its so unfortunate this bridal place has racism people managing it.

These ladies are awesome! I came in to their shop frantically searching for a formal dress to wear to an event I was going to that night. They did everything in their power to help me find a beautiful dress, and get it altered in time for me to make it to my event!

A little late review since I already am married but I only had so little time to shop at home with my family since I live out-of-town. The drive to Walnut Creek was pleasant from Richmond.The place has so much natural light from windows which I love. Lisa answered all the questions I had and didnt sugarcoat anything which I love. They also have in-house alterations which is a huge factor for me to make a decision.Oh.. did I mention gowns are beautiful??? :D

So I am extremely picky, to the point that I traveled all over the Bay Area and then to So Cal on the quest to find my dream dress. I visited most major salons in California and I said Yes to the Dress at Flares. I was very comfortable in buying my dress here. Lissa was patient and never pushy. I didnt buy the dress the day of, she gave me space and I just knew it was my dress.As a bride, I didnt want to feel like I was settling or like I was being pressured. I wanted to cry when I found my dress, I started to believe that you didnt cry when you find your dress. Other stores would tell me not all brides cry, it just depends on the bride, umm I cry for other people when they find their dress.I highly recommend this place, the service, prices and selection is fabulous.

Besides from having amazing looking dresses I am very disappointed with customer service. Why is it that only two people know how to take payments? And the rest doesnt. I have to constantly call back and fourth to make a pay. Wheres the cross training, Supervisor? Why do I need to drive across the bridge just because your representatives at the time cant take a payment because the other reps are with brides. No one cant tell me my balance. Or even get a callback in a decent hour. You should cross train your reps so your customers dont have to go back and fourth. This is ridiculous.

Nice gowns and dresses but I couldnt buy the dress for the marine ball that i liked since she dont accept returns. I cant spend 300Dollar and not being 100% sure if i am able to go or not, I might have to return it. Ended up getting one at Nordstrom, which I had to return since my girl got sick and i wasnt able to go the marine ball!!!!!!!one more thing that did bother me is that the service was really not the best, the ladies had only time for the braid that had a appointment which is fine but as a regular costumer it would been nice to get help as well.

Pinterest is both an amazing and terrible thing! After falling in love with Ella, a dress designed by Australian brand Made in Love, I knew I just had to have it. Especially after reading all of the amazing reviews about the quality, look and feel. I searched their website which noted that they only sold Ella through stockists. BUT living in Hawaiʻi - there were no stockists nearby and with an upcoming wedding there was no way I would be able to fly out to the West Coast just to get one. I reached out to a few bridal boutiques in California and Washington and Flares bridal + formal (Lissa) got back to me within the same day I emailed her. After much back and forth and a lot of help from Lissa, I am proud to say that I am the new owner of an Ella wedding gown. I am beyond elated by the level of customer service provided by this bridal boutique and HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend them when you are shopping for your gown. Lissa was so, extremely helpful and easy to work with via text and email and is quick in turnaround. If the process was so simple and smooth online, I can only imagine in-store. I was looking for a Stella York dress and I found it here, I loved the dress selection ! I found my dress in the first visit, no problem at all with it. About costumer service they need to improve a lot, I did not liked I was rushed because they had an appointment when my time was not even done, when fitting for alterations I was not being respect, owner told seamstress to do the opposite I wanted, I was frustrated, I end up not liking how dress looked in the front but I rather took it home than spending more time dealing with the owner. Sad but true.

This is an awful company to deal with. The owner Lissa Anne is a dishonest person to deal with and has no integrity. She is a liar, she is not a professional person and she is not the type of person one would want to do business with. I would heavily recommend that you avoid her and her business as well. There are many other honest retailers out there and I would look for one of them.

I can not say enough good things about this shop. I would give them 20 stars id I could! I LOVE Ray and Lissa!!! Their customer service is SUPERB. Ray knows me by name every time I call in and each visit to the store is like visiting with old friends.I contacted Flares when I first began my search for a bridal gown and I was impressed with how promptly they returned my call even though I didnt leave a message. The shop proved a little difficult to find (their current location is close to Macys woman, across from The icing and next to the Hallmark Store) so I went to another boutique. I found THE DRESS at the other boutique and realized that the other boutique had much higher pricing and their service wasnt as good. I contacted Flares again and Ray was PHENOMENAL! Not only did I get my fabulous custom wedding gown from them but Ray also agreed to include my custom length veil and offered me a significant discount! These ladies are CLEARLY not in this business just to make money. After ordering my dress I had my eyes set on a beautiful reception dress and Ray actually talked me out of it. (She said my wedding dress is so beautiful and wont want to take it off for the reception)I am a tall (60), full figured woman and Ray fit me for my dress PERFECTLY saving me money on alterations. Ray was more nervous than I was the first time I tried on my dress because she wanted to make sure my length was perfect! Although I was told that because of the custom changes my dress would take 6- 8 months to come back (not a problem because I started working with Flares over a year before my wedding) my dress came back in just under 3 months and a full 6 months before my wedding! Any other shop would force me to take my dress home and store it myself but Ray agreed to keep it in the shop as long as I needed to avoid excessive transport and possible damage.I would recommend Flares to anyone looking for a Formal and Bridal Gown. They will DEFINITELY be my shop of choice for my formal needs! Their in house seamstress used to work for Armani and I am sure she is also EXCELLENT. I will write a separate review for alterations once mine are completed.

Busy place. Not as large as we expected, including the selection. Staff was rude. She told us we needed to hurry up in the dressing room. She said we a total of 30 minutes for my two bridesmaids to try on dresses. She also politely scolded us for hanging dresses on the stall door.
