Zara is nice store selection is great as always the staff is friendly and always ready to help. The colors of the spring collection were its best unique styles love loved it. Always end up buying extra things.

Actually standing in line right now with my elderly mother. Absolutely no one on the floor to assist and 2 checkout clerks.. the line is out the door. Nice clothes clean store. But l wont be coming back. You would think with the location this store is at that they would have more employees.

Incredibly rude staff. Arrived at 5:48, they close at 6, and wanted to make a return for one item. First I was told they were at capacity despite people leaving. Then they simply said they wouldn’t let me in. The rude salesperson told me “we’ve been open all day, you could have come earlier. You can come back tomorrow.” Actually awful.

I went into Zara this Saturday and as I was leaving after I purchased some things a couple of girls who were about 8 steps ahead of me left and the alarm had gone off and as I walked through the door after they left I was asked by the door attendant “can you go through the doors again?” And I was completely confused as to why I was the one being asked to go back when I wasn’t even around the door at that time. The door attendant didn’t ask them to come back but asked me to and I know she was racially profiling me . If this is the type of people Zara is hiring, I will never shop here again.

Why is it that every other retailer in the country doing order pick ups is way more efficient and easy than Zara. They have curbside or a separate line in the store or outside of the store but at Zara they make u wait in not one but TWO different lines . I just want to pick up my order that I’ve already paid for and you want me to wait in a line outside to get into the store and then wait in the line inside? AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. This reminded me of why I never shop at this place. The company doesn’t care to service their customers and the employees would rather ignore you than help you. Learn from every other retailer and have a separate area for order pick up.

Zara was a hot fn mess, looks like a bomb went off in there, but I found a cute dress! Be ready to dig!

They have a good quantity of sizes that are not available online. Ample staff so you arent waiting in line too long to checkout.

They close their fitting rooms a solid hour and a half before the actual store closes

My son likes the clothes here. However, I totally agree with all the comments on the manager described in this thread. I have never encountered such poor customer service from a store manager in my life. I have been trying to get refunded for shoes that we paid for and never received in March before lock down but unfortunately, Zara customer service and the Walnut Creek say opposite things and resolve nothing...an indicator of overall poor management to me...so... I would be very surprised if anyone read or cared about these comments in the Walnut Creek store. Be warned, and shop there with this in mind.

There needs to be a big poster on their wall stating the do not take returns without a receipt. They must be the last store on the planet to not even at least offer store credit. I bought a sweater and misplaced the receipt, but thought nothing of it since the tag was still on and it had only been 2 weeks. It’s Zara brand after all, where else could I have purchased it? Nope. Not even with my card receipt showing the exact amount and date of purchase. Very poor customer service and I will never shop there again.

Alex, the assistant manger is inadequate at best when it comes to customer service. He needs some formal training or would be better suited in a industry that requires no professional people skills.

Ive rated this place well a while ago, but due to my last 5 or so visits, Im downgrading because I find most employees are not there for customer service but to just man the stores with a body. The quality of some of their clothing is less than mediocre, and they have an archaic return policy. I saw others mentioning the management being poor, trust me, believe every word because its not an exaggeration, youd have to experience the POOR customer service, attitude, and general ineptitude from the Manager to fully understand, it is not an understatement. I will no longer patronize this store.

I have been going to the Zara in Walnut Creek for quite sometime and have been treated extremely rudely by the “short Asian manager” everybody else has been referring in their reviews as well more than once.I was returning an item, which I was told was out of season and could not be returned in a polite manner by a cashier, and I asked politely if I could speak to a manager to see if there was anything they could do. The manager was extremely rude when I asked him where the policy was written that my items could not be returned and he told me that it was on the back of the receipt and told me that I “needed glasses”.He was extremely rude and arrogant and lacks basic customer service skills. The manager is the reason that Zara Walnut Creek has lost a loyal customer!

I love the clothes and purchased a coat, jeans and top. I saw the coat on line and asked for help finding it. It seemed and awful effort on the part of the sales associate. The male manager was extremely rude. He couldnt care less.

Zara seems to cater to a younger audience. Still my wife found some great dresses she really enjoyed. The line appears to have some good designs with the quality one would expect at that price point. I do think the designs are certainly much better than one would expect for the price. I can see why the brand is so popular in Europe.

Hip store with constantly updated stores that Zara is known for. More European in style with mostly slim style clothing. Fashionable casual clothes as well as nice suits and dress clothes. Prices are reasonable for the product.

I remember taking a course in college where I had to write a paper on what I thought was considered poor customer service. Looking back, I only wish I could’ve referenced this store and their lack of service. Went in on a quite morning, and could not find one helpful or friendly employee amongst the four I encountered. It’s ridiculous to shop somewhere the employees show up to work only to form their own social club with their coworkers. All I experienced here was rude employees with no professionalism, looking to find a dead corner to chat or get on their phone. The management team here, or corporate needs to reconsider their hiring process because clearly I’m not the only one that’s had terrible service at this specific location.

I love it here! They spent 30 minutes trying to find a shirt for me so that was really nice of them. Theres a large variety of in style clothing and everything is reasonably priced. Most of the items look much more expensive than they are. Very on trend and fun. First floor is womens, second floor is mens and kids. Everyone can find something they like.

Traditional Zara shops. Although they had a lot of discount when we went there. My wife picked few dresses which were okay. The girl at the checkout was extremely slow and there were just one person checking out, so it makes us wait 15 mins in the line for check out.

As always Zara is such a cool store, great prices, trendy merchandise. This one is exceptionally clean, beautiful layout and overall a nice atmosphere to shop in.Unfortunately we, my cousins and I, who happen to be black of African origin had to leave the store within 5mins because of all the stares from the associates, especially the ones at the registers and the security guard who kept glancing at us and making comments.We could barely shop freely, and decided to leave.Its sad that racial profiling occurs.Zara doesnt stand for racial bias but unfortunately management here does.

I rarely encounter issues with management in the retail industry. I was recently shopping at this location of Zara, and decided to return some items/exchange it. The store manager Alex does not know Zaras return policy, leave that alone. He decides to go ask his employees about the return policy. I believe in customer service and that customers come first. This store definitely lacks work ethics, and professionalism.

Everything was perfect but it was impossible to find the shoes to accompany tops.

My first visit didnt provide a good first impression. The store was filthy, and clothes were thrown everywhere. Staff was nowhere to be found, or even seen. I dont have the greatest opinion of the people who were shopping here either. No one seemed to have any respect for the staff (wherever they were ), the products, or each other.I went into the store because one of the window displays caught my eye. Unfortunately, upon inspecting the items up close, I noticed that the fabrics were substandard and the tailoring was done on the cheap. Sizes arent representative of what you would find at Macys or Nieman Marcus. Be prepared to find sizes fitting much smaller than the norm. I couldnt find anything that would fit anyone who is say, 5 8 or taller. Most suit jackets are not lined, or even sewn proficiently, IMO, and I noticed more than one crookedly sewn seam.I guess this is a good place for a budget, since the prices are quite low. I walked out without buying anything, since Im not interested in clothes that can only be worn once before splitting a seam. You get what you pay for.

I love shopping at this location for my entire family! The only problem that I have with store is that no one ever answers the phone. You can never call to find out information on an item prior to driving there.

The employees here are absolutely dreadful and have zero respect for their customers. I will likely never shop here again. And I’ve worked on retail for an incredibly long time!

I wish I wouldve read the previous reviews, I wouldve avoided unpleasant visits to the store. I agree with the review on the male department, the manager is very rude, lacks manners, he seems bothered by customer service. He didnt want to accept my return either according to him the item looked (to him) worn and had a smell!!!! What!!!?? He clearly made that up just because he didnt want to accept the return. Beware he is very unreasonable not only with returns but also with customers asking questions, yeah I dealt with him prior to this visit. This is definitely my last visit at this location.

Store closes at 7pm, i got in around 6pm. they closed their fitting rooms about 6:25pm and I didnt try anything I was picking for 30 min. What is the point of the cloths store being open if you cant try anything on? first time see something like that. Also, it will be nice to announce that you cant try anything on anymore. I find it ridiculous.

Zara is a unisex and kids clothing store. Its prices are mid range to expensive. However they do run sales semi regularly and you can get really good discounts when they do. Their style is not for everyone but I am pretty sure there is something for every budding or established fashionista. Clothes are really good quality and honestly if you own a Zara anything, you own it for life . As long as its looked after ofofcourse I still have one or 2 things from Zara that I got almost 8years back. (Not a hoarder)but the stuff is just built to last.

The manager of the male’s section (I believe his name is Alex) is horrible. Totally lacks in kindness and tact. We needed to exchange some pants bought online that were in the store currently for a different style. We were refused because of bad store policies but told in the most rude and obnoxious way. I will not be back to this store, and I probably will not buy from Zara again.

Worst customer service ever!! Idlf you are looking to be treated poorly this is the place to shop. I bought a pair of shorts there for my son and when I got home I realized that the back had come unstitched. So I went to return the items the cashier called the manager and stated, this person is claiming that the item was damaged when they bought the shorts. Mind you I had the receipt and the tag was still on the shorts. To be accused of lying when I simply bought a damaged item that they had put on the floor, is absurd!! I will never shop here again!!

I bought a shirt for a Childrens Hospital fundraiser, and I bought the wrong color. Zara has a new return policy that when you dont have a receipt (I forgot to save mine), they will not return for store credit, and instead will only return for the same item in another color or size. And they wont search your credit card for return matching.This is the worst return policy Ive ever experienced. Its short-sited and will cost them customers. I spoke to the customer service rep while in the store, and she said it came from corporate, and I cant do anything about it.This is the first and last time Ill shop in that store.

This place is horrible the manager is a horrible he refused to return a faulty item less than 30 days purchase with receipt. He refused to give his name he should be fired. He has no experience of customer service they should be out of business.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The manager, I believe his name is Alex, was one of the most dismissive people I have ever dealt with in the customer service world. I had ordered a jean jacket online that came without any inside tags (someone obviously had cut them out) and the inside pockets were pilling, looking as if it had already gone through the washing machine about 85 times. I brought it in to return because it didn’t fit correctly and looked to be in bad condition. Not only did Zara send me a previously returned and CLEARLY worn jacket, Alex then decided to accuse and ME of ruining the jacket and cutting tags out, making it non-returnable. He was extremely rude, dismissive and clearly has no concept of good, quality customer service. I have never been spoken to the way he spoke to me, it was outrageous. This was my first time shopping with Zara and without a doubt, will most definitely be my LAST.

My friends and I recently shopped at the ZARA located in Walnut Creek. We will NEVER return. Not because of the quality of merchandise but because of the treatment we received from the employee name Caria G. She was rude, unprofessional and lacked any sense of how to treat a customer. Im embarrassed for ZARA hiring such a unqualified sales person.
