Con artist. Don’t do it is the best advice I can give. They’ll have 1 price for you then once you approve that they’ll add extra to the bill when you come to pick up. I paid extra for the warranty and they wrote no warranty on the bill. He didn’t give me the invoice I had to call back and get it. When I confronted the guy running the place he said he had that it was a warranty in his private notes for him to see. He was very rude and began to act angry. Seems like they broke something else. Thinking I was going to have them fix it. Best advice DON’T DO IT!

This crew was awesome. They were like family. I can’t give them enough stars. I had to have a lot done (started with a brake fluid leak), and the inspection revealed much more. The together showed me, explained everything, quoted the entire job, then offered to piece it out if I couldn’t afford all at once…hardly anyone does that these days. Do respect it!!!The deal is that my wife and I were in Warren on a Saturday working in a condo. Near the end of a business day is when the leak started. Brake Tech was the only place I found willing to have a look instead of turning me away. When I agreed to all the work that needed to be done they already my knee I had to get the vehicle back to Livonia same day (home). They said no worries and they would stay late and get the job done. They did and they did an EXCELLENT job. I will be forever grateful for their dedication and Customer service.Finally, the price for all the work was more than fair, and they not only knocked part off because they originally made a minor mis-quote, but the noticed my SAC hat and gave me a considerable discount as a US Air Force veteran. I didn’t ask for it. They noticed and offered.I could have just given them five stars. But that wasn’t enough for what they did for me. Kind staff very helpful and patient worked with me to help fix my car

Went in on a Saturday to replace brake pads and rotors. I waited about an hour to get my inspection. Then they said they ordered the parts and they should be here any minute. 3 hours later, still no parts and they still kept saying it will be here any minute. So they said if i can come back tomorrow (Sunday) and the guy will make sure parts are there before i arrived. We agreed to meet at the shop at 1pm. I get there and no one is there. I called his cell phone, went straight to voice mail and i called the shop and someone called back in about an hour. So now its 2 on a Sunday and they tell me the guy can be there in about 30-45 minutes. I was not about to waste anymore time at that shop. They were going to charge me $484 for 4 brake pads, 2 rear rotors, and one caliper. I ended up paying $500 for 4 brake pads, 4 rotors, and a caliper somewhere else. Paying an extra $16 and got 2 front rotors replaced was well worth it. I would not recommend this place to someone unless you like getting ripped off and time to waste your weekend.

Brought my 2006 Avalanche in for inspection, wss honestly expecting them to turn me away given the age and mileage on the truck, however i recieved great customer service from the shop and the front manager i believe her name was jacklyn, or jackie (sorry if i misspelled) she was awesome. They brought me into the shop and showed me exactly what my problems were. Upon driving home it was if i was driving a brand new truck. I would definitely recommend Brake Tech!

Everything was great except the fact that there supplier sent over the wrong rotor so instead of waiting a hour or 2 to have it fixed it took about 4 1/2 hours.

I did not get my brakes fixed here due to time constraints of the holiday. However they were so nice, helpful and eager to help pick up my car and explain everything to me. One of the Best interactions I have had with a company! They have a mobile service too so I will be using them for that once it warms up

This place scams you. Took truck in for an inspection for a break leak dropped off around 9am. Called around 1 to check status was told needed another 1/2 hour. Called again around 230 still no luck. Finally 430 got a call told needed 850.00 worth of work. Told them we needed to wait a few weeks to get the money. They offered financing but you have to put half down. We said we dont have that right now. We would be on our way to pick up our truck. They did not like that. On our way 10 mins later we got a call claiming the Caliper broke as they were putting it back on. Choice tow the truck home or replace 1 caliper. Cost 242.00. Feeling we had no choice we agreed. Two days later brakes not working well. Had to take truck some where else. First was told never only replace 1 caliper. Thier inspection found the leak and they would finance no money down plus 6 months same as cash. When we tried talking to break tech they told us to bring the receipt to prove work was done they would return core charge. Better than nothing we thought. But when we showed receipt clearly showing work done they refused any kind of refund. Saying that was not proof enough. We learned NEVER to go here. The employees are rude. They go back on thier word. They leave you hanging all day. We you decline work to be done they make sure you have to get something done so they make more money. I will not recommend anyone to go here

They had a really busy the day that i called, I told them I was going out of town so I needed them done that day and they made sure they got it done and they did the job so quickly. Best price I couldve found. Very honest people and professional work. My brakes have been perfect since they changed the pads. They didnt pressure me to spend a penny more. The lady was very nice on the phone and even ensured I was updated the whole time I waited. Both men were very professional and hard working, it was also very very cold and dark but they did the job. They installed my brakes incorrectly (didnt lubricate brake caliper bracket), which caused the pads to seize up after only 2 months. Terrible and costly mistake in the end, would not recommend ever.

Showed up at my appt on time at 345. They said 30 wait they were behind. No big deal. 415pm i walk back in give them my keys. 445 shes calls and and say my 85 rear brake pad coupon doesnt include hardware. 500pm walk back and realize they are waiting on parts truck... what was purpose of making my appt and telling them my model?? My father did brakes for 30 years at GM in Saginaw and im very familiar with everything. She said 38 dollars more for the hardware, i said ok.. The hardware which are the clips that attach the pad to the caliper cost 4-5 bucks...

Being a woman and having issues with my car, most shops take advantage of that. Not Brake Tech! They treat you equal and with respect. They not only work with you but they truly care for your safety. Brake Tech provides affordable, convenient, no-nonsense service! My battery went out on a freezing cold Sunday afternoon and Brake Tech was able to provide a new battery AND complete the install quickly. I recommend this provider to all! The owner actually answers the phone! :)

Well I can not rate their services because they didn’t give me much service, I simply went to buy a battery from them which they had told me they had in stock when I initially called them then told me when I got there they needed my old battery that I forgotten to grab on my way out there (not their fault) so I go all the way back home, which is a good 10 miles away, remove my old battery, take it back up there, and they tell me we don’t have your battery come back tomorrow. I’m not necessarily not recommending this place I’m just somewhat upset I wasted nearly 2 hours of my time to not get what I came for.

I called and gave my vehicle type and asked for a quote for pads/rotors for the front. Man on phone quotes my $225. I make an appointment and come in the next day. They inspect and want to charge me over $300 for same plus hardware with no explanation. Even without the hardware, it was $280. Lady told me it was tax. No, try again. She called the person I had spoken with and complained he shouldnt be doing that and badmouthed him to me. She lowered the price to $250 and I said do it since the car was apart. She said 30 minutes. Almost 90 minutes later, it is finally done as they had to go get parts (which is odd, since I told them day prior exactly what I wanted). Lady went into her office the whole time and closed her door leaving no one in the lobby/waiting area so I could not even get updates. They tried to upsell me on other items too. When I went to leave, there was oil fingerprints all over my hood, fender, door, and A-pillar. I went in to complain and they sent the tech out with a rag. Bottom line is they need to 1) honor their quotes or just not give them period, 2) either have parts in stock or set realistic wait times, and 3) be professional enough to deal with an upset customer and not release a dirty car. Today...my brakes are squeaking again. I am sure if I return, they will blame something else they wanted to upsell me on and not their work so I am not going to even bother.

My experience was horrible! I brought my car in at 2:15pm on a Sat, it wasnt rolled out until 9:40pm. Staff did not communicate with us on what was going with our vehicle w/o my husband asking first. My son, husband, and myself left several times to use the bathrm & to eat. The shop closed at 6pm. There where 3 other customers that where waiting as well. My ABS light is still going on & off due to a sensor was put on incorrectly. I do not want go back there for anything ever!!!

Took my car here today to get brakes and an hour before they closed. The guys stayed after close to make sure I had my car tonight. I knew what was wrong with it but played stupid to see if they were honest. They were. And for the people complaining about prices.. do you know what a quote is.. its an estimate.. could be more could be less... I will be returning.

All your good reviews on here are for dics brakes because literally a monkey with a wrench could change those. You lie about the price until you do work on the car and jack up the price HUNDREDS, LITERALLY HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS MORE. they quoted me $147 over the phone then told me that it was gonna be $570 when i went to pick up my car that literally fell apart 2 days later when my rear wheel almost fell off. Dropped off 9am got estimate 1030. Car was finished by 1300. Pain free . Most places tell you other things that are wrong with vehicle. This place fixed what I wanted fixed. I appreciate it.

The manager Sami was great, she was able to diagnose the brake issue I was having and did not try to over sell me as Crest Lincoln told me I needed all new rotors and brake pads, all I needed was brake pads. I will return to this business for my brake needs.

Eastpointe location - Worst service and customer service ever. Took my wifes car in for brakes all around and front rotors. Week or so later I drove her car again and noticed a banging coming from the front driver side area. Thinking something may have been knocked loose from a pothole, I took the tire off and found that 1 of the 2 bolts that holds the caliper to the assembly was missing. Took it back to get repaired and was assured the correct bolt was put in. Get back home and still hear a rattling. Took the tire off again and found that they installed the totally wrong bolt. Mind you, this was after I asked the kid if he installed the correct one and if he inspected the other brake assemblies, as I asked, and was told yes. Which was a lie because where I sat in the waiting room, I could see where he was at all times and he never went to the other 3 assemblies to look. So up to Autozone I go to get the correct bolt which had to be ordered and meant another trip to pick it up the next day. I have been trying to reach the owner for over a week now with no response. Im just.not sure that he has actually been given my messages. Im just wanted to get compensated for the parts I had to buy extra but now after lies and deceit and my own work and time to correct the issue, I feel I should be refunded partial of what I paid for the whole job because of all I had to do.The place smells like I dispensary, which I understand pot is legal now but when youre working on peoples safety, maybe wait till you get home. Also, they like to leave your window open while the car is in the air and smoke right under it so all the smoke goes into your car. There is also no display of the mechanics licenses so Im not even sure if they are licensed or just buddies that need a job. Nothing is in stock and they have to go on a part run for just about every job. Very unprofessional shop, would definitely not reccomend if you care about your loved ones safety. They say you get what you pay for and at this facility, it isnt much.

Dont waste your time. This shop is terrible. An example could lead to a defamation suit because of how bad they truly are. Just stay away from this shop.

This is the worst place for brake work we bought the vehicle in at 1200 they looked at it after 330 than couldnt get the part after they told us it will be done the same day. ordered the part on saturday than was the wrong part. they dont have a clue what they are doing. i asked them to check the brakes they said they did. then when the vehicle was picked they said it needed new pads. definatly do not go to this place for any work on your car. it has the worst service than tried to convince it needed 3000 of work on the car that was a joke

Was told they could get it done in an hour. That didnt happen. Then when their tech put my wheel on they put on the wrong lug nuts and then rounded off 3 of the 5. No thank you. I dont recommend them and will not be returning.

I had an mobile appointment for Saturday 6-23-18 btwn 8:30am to 9:30am; recvd confirmation email and text and name of mobile tech whom would be coming--No one showed/no one called nor did I speak to anyone on the phone because I was placed on hold!!!! This is extremely poor customer service and to think you were highly recommended and referred!!!! So thank you sooooo much for your great customer service!!! NOT!!!

Friendly staff, however quoted me different price then I received on the phone. I got there late from my appt, and called to check if it was ok to still come. Promised ceramic brakes, pretty sure I just got the cheap crappy ones, tires constantly covered in black brake dust which ceramic brakes arent supposed to do. Took hours before they were done..Got them done weeks ago and they still squeak everytime I stop...just trying to get sum use for the 250$ I spent, only to now have to get them replaced because the squeaking is driving me crazy.

They was trying to charge me for the parts I never even heard of, after they took everything off..
