We broke down (belt snapped) on 495 just outside of DC driving in from PA to visit Georgetown. A google search led us to LJ and they instantly offered to help us in our sticky situation. They called us a few times in the next few hours to keep us updated and we were on our way home safely in just a few hours time! Great service and affordable prices.
The first repair at LJ Automotive was after my car failed the DC vehicle inspection because of emissions. I dropped off my car in the morning, and it was fixed by the end of the day. The actual cost was less than the estimated repair. Yes, you read that correctly. Lee told me it would cost a certain amount, and when I came to pickup the car the actual bill was less than the estimate. Any in-person transaction during this time of the COVID is scary, but that morning I could see instantly that Mr Lee was safe and respectful. He was also humorous and friendly. I felt like I could trust Mr Lee, and thankfully I was right. I would highly recommend him and will definitely visit him first if my car needs any other repairs. Thank you Mr Lee and LJ Automotive for all of your help!! My car just passed inspection, and there was no other repairs necessary. LJ Automotive fixed the problem!
Mr Leas is a wonderful human being! Both spiritually and as a businessman. Very well versed with automobiles! He has been my mechanic for years and I trust him! Prices are reasonable and his staff are just as good! 🚗👍💖💯☺😷
Very solid experience. The folks at the counter were courteous, helpful, and friendly. I had an engine tune up done within a day without hassle; my car was in and out!Being that I was new to the area and anxious about being taken for a ride, I did my homework on all of the shops around here. I was not disappointed!

Buyer BewarePrimary Concern: Poor Documentation; Erroneous Extra Charges; Abhorrent Customer Service;Recently went to LJ Automotive for services on a Toyota Camry. We agreed on the scope of work and price for labor and parts before I left the vehicle onsite. The next day, the owner calls stating the additional work with the passenger side tie rods needs to be completed for an additional $200. I agreed to the work to be done, and picked up the vehicle a few days later. Unfortunately, I noticed odd issues with the steering and it was brought to my attention by an MVA inspector that the issue was the same tie rod the owner brought to my attention - which was not replaced. I addressed the issue and made note of the need to present this to LJ Automotive.When reviewing the receipt from LJ I noticed that the items were almost illegible but I could make out the total for parts and labor. The line items did not equal the total and there was additional passenger side tie rod charge for labor was present.I presented the issues with services not rendered and the poor documentation on the receipt. The goal was at the very least get a refund of the additional charge of $200 from the services never rendered and ultimately risked my safety. When I presented the situation, the owner proceeded to dispute items he wrote on his own receipt! Then, he began to threaten that he should have charged more. It was then that I realized customer service was not a priority of this business. Moreover, that this autoshops lack of standardized billing and documentation practices will be a liability to any one who unfortunately does business here.Please avoid this business until they at the very least change their billing process and attitude toward customer service.If you cannot - I advise you request before and after photos of parts replaced and that the each line item is written down clearly. Finally, be clear to ask and run down each item on the receipt and lay your eyes on the item before leaving the lot.Buyer beware.
