I called at 11 am. A team came out at 1230 and were gone by 140. I had a broken spring. The team replaced the spring and turned up the door moving parts. Ran so smooth. Also., they showed me where my door was bucking and popping. Installed a piece of material and popping and bucking was gone. Jason was great! I reported my damaged door on a Friday and Jason was out by Saturday 2:00 pm. He installed a new bracket in ten minutes. Very reasonably priced. Professional. And, most importantly, did not talk excessively. I am very grateful to Schaefer Door and their professional staff!

Schaefer Door was fantastic to work with getting the spring replaced on my single garage door. They came out the same day I called to measure, then came back later to install. I spent maybe 10 mins calling and working with the guys when they came, whole replacement took 15 mins. Extremely pleased with the service, quality of work, and pricing.

We originally were booked to have our spring on our garage door fixed by another company but the guy kept cancelling on us. I was looking for a garage door repair company so googled company’s in the area. Came across this one and read all the five star reviews and looked promising. Maybe they are great at what they do but I wouldn’t know because I can’t get them to show up or even give a call back. Called December 30, asked the issue, gave the rundown and the response was great call you when we are on our way out. Gave it a few days with the holidays and all, nothing. Called back January 11, explained that I had called previously and never heard back. Gentleman on the phone said sorry, not sure what happened, asked the issue I was having, I gave the rundown, he said ok I’ll have someone contact you and apologized again. Obviously not that sorry and apparently they have more then enough work and money that they don’t need mine. Hate giving local company’s one star but this is pretty terrible. At least now I know who not to recommend and look for repairs or replacement of my garage doors.

Schaefer is incredible. I pulled up to my garage at lunch to see my cables fall to the floor in my garage as my torsion spring broke. I parked outside, called Schaefer, and they were here in a half an hour to get spring measurement and size details. They were back shortly after with a replacement spring and my door was broken maybe three hours total. The guys who repaired my door were professional and all business.They were about the fastest repair guys I have ever seen do anything.Highly recommend them.

Reliable and professional. They squeezed me into an already busy schedule, during a multi-day snowstorm, and got me up and running. They even keep history of work they have done for you, to better advise you about replacing vs repairing based on your specific door. These are the go-to garage door guys.

Jason and Scott were very professional, considerate of my space, time, and business. They needed to replace window panels in 4 large garage doors in my CrossFit gym. They diligently went to work getting it all done while I was able to conduct business. They cleaned up after themselves very well and took the time to come up with a plan to drive their lift over our floors so as not to damage them.

My garage door broke when my husband was out of town, so he told me to call Schaeffer Door Co. I called them at 7:00 am the next day and was told they may not be able to get to it because their day was full. But to my surprise when I got home from work that day it was fixed!!! Though the owner sounds gruff as another user indicated (Though it was 7:15am on Monday and Im rather gruff until my second cup of coffee). He was able to have techs over the same day I called to fix my garage door. The techs did a excellent job to remedy my broken door.Bottom line though he may sound gruff, hes competent and dependable. I needed my garage door fixed and called a company in St. Louis, but didnt want to use them because they told me it would cost $45 in travel fees to get out here. Called Schaefer, explained to them my situation and how I didnt want to pay the other companys trip charge and they said no problem they would send some guys out to fix it. Guys come out, had the wrong springs at first, came back and told me that the springs would only cost $5-10. I said no problem. They do the job, really nice guys, and they tell me the bill will come in the mail. Bill ended up costing $140, springs were $15-20 a piece and they charged me $45 for travel fees. To travel 10 blocks? Give me a break. Finally get on the phone with the owner, he tries to give me some rehearsed speech about how every company does this, how hidden fees are how businesses make money, and then HANGS UP ON ME. They are thieves, call anyone but Schaefer.
