Ive been here a bunch of times, three or more floors of art. Great when theres an art show opening (though people get trapped downstairs near the food and drink since you cant bring food or drink into the art space). My only suggestion would be for art opening talks to take place in an auditorium space instead of in the first floor next to the art.
A modern venue with a collection of classic and contemporary art from around the world. It is a prominent extension to the beautiful AU campus. The serenity makes you forget that you’re in the heart of DC. The presentation room was ultra modern.
Great univ. My son was there for great engineering week. Kids were exposed to all faciet of engineering, took part in team competition and visited DC attractions.
The Katzen Arts Center is one of DCs lesser known museums because its so far off the National Mall in NW DC that its a trek to get to. However, if youre armed with an Instagram account, its a must do while in DC.The museum is free and houses a collection of modern art. Its all minimalist themed, which means its simplicity is breathtakingly beautiful. Get our your phone and start snapping social media worthy photos.Once youre done inside, venture outside where more art awaits you. This museum is also an excellent place for photo shoots too!
An oasis year round by yourself or with friends or family. A beautiful collection to see and admire.
I dis a tour and it was really cool to actually see the campus, and speak with students and staff that were around
American University Museum at the Katzen Arts Center is amazing, they have good and interesting art exhibits. Plus they allow pictures.
I love the new technology and enovation building, SIS, communication, katzen art center and of course the Bender library. Friendly, eco and clean environment. The one omitted star is for parking enforcement which can get hefty.
Excellent exhibitions. Fun to be a member.
Mimi Herberts piece is sensational.
