I really like coming here. They are always very quick and affordable. Nice local option. They were able to do an oil change, swap differential fluid and brake fluid in just about an hour on a walk in. Nice work. Also plenty of snacks if your on the go!

These people are knowledgeable, fair, respectful, and the only place I trust with my cars! I dont know a lot about cars, and on more than one occasion they made sure to not overcharge me for things I asked about but did not need.They also take time explaining how they checked things and what is the most essential to fix and when, so I could plan for it. I tell everyone about how great this place is for the last 4 years I have been a customer, and I will gladly come again!

Took them two weeks in the shop and $1500 to diagnose and replace my AC compressor and fix a stuck door lock. I noticed some lack of attention to detail (didn’t pop my driver side window switches back into the panel). A couple hundred miles later my belt tensioner ripped off and serpentine belt fell to the ground. The shop I took it to said the bolts must not have been tightened by whoever recently worked on it. The bolt holes were then ruined, and it became more expensive than a typical belt tensioner replacement. Another $1500 to the fossil fuel gods 💸

Frustrating, I took my car in to see how much it would cost to fix the AC, I told Brenda Id already tried to recharge it and was trying to see how much it would cost to fix, she told me they would call and let me know. They came back and said it would be a big job, too much. Said it would be $60 to get my keys back. If Id known this I wouldnt have brought it in for a quote. I asked Kevin to waive it, he said no. Not transparent, surprise fees.

Got propane and used the restroom staff was very very nice

I took my truck in to hwf needed a die test and removal of refrigerant then refilled. I got my truck back.The next day used AC. Cabin filled with freon. I called hwf told them what happened.They told me I have to pay for another die test for the second time. Now I will go to westlie ford to have it done correctly. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THAT WE HAVE BEEN SCREWED BY HWF. It would be nice if they would honor their warranty.

Bad services...Went there for Transmission Service you know🤔🤔 filter, gasket....and all they did was flush it..129.99 for fluid🥴🥴.....NOW it leaks...I found 8 bolts magically loose🤬🤬 but what do you expect when the service manger comes out to check fluid levels 🤪and doesnt start engine🤬...And proceeds to tell me that thats how you check transmission levels is with the engine off😡😡😡....Save your self time and money DONT GO THERE!!

Its such a cliche that women are patronized and taken advantage of when it comes to mechanics and car shops.Im smarter than your average bear and have done the work on several of my previous cars....and yet, Im a woman, so clearly none of that matters.What did my car need? Just an oil change, nothing major. (Im giving them the benefit of the doubt and assume that they actually used full synthetic as requested.) When the guy came to get my keys, I told him a few things that I wanted double checked while they were in there. He just nodded his head. I also asked to be let in the shop while they had the hood up, so we could look for any indications of wear and tear. Again, he just nodded.It took maybe 10 minutes for them to be done with my car. They just gave me back the keys. I asked how she looked. Fine. How are the tires? Hows the tread look? Fine. How did ___ look? Fine. How did ___ look? Fine. Ive never been to a shop that didnt automatically give ma break down of how my car looked. At Hiway, getting this basic information was like pulling teeth. I just kept getting a look that seemed to say, woman, I aint got time for you.Not going back.Im giving them two stars, instead of one, just in case this is a one off.

Hiway fuel really gets how to run an excellent business they know how to treat the customer. We never left feeling like they put in the least effort or quality for the most amount of money - thats what keeps us coming back. Honesty, transparency and integrity reflect in the way they conduct business, it reflects in how the employees treat the customer. Heres an example, the other night around closing time, after vacuuming my car, I accidentally hit the door lock. At night, in the cold downpour rain, I was stuck outside my of car, no phone, keys or wallet. Within 5 minutes three or four concerned employees came to my aid & got me back in my car and on the road, no charge. They didnt just go oh thats too bad, for a fee well help you out these are good people! & what makes the difference in todays world where it seems everyones out for themselves. Used to be a good place when Rod was there but now when you call either nobody picks up in the shop, or if they do they tell you somebody will call you back and they never do. Tried a few times now. Not sure what kind of work they do now because I cant get that far, but it used to be good

Great service on my old Pontiac. They also found an issue on my car. Showed me the line had rubbed a hole from resting on the frame. Got it fixed. Really cheap. I reccomend this place.

The auto techs at Highway Fuel were on point! They fixed me up with some new tires and now I am riding smooth! The service was quick and the price was great!

I will no longer shop here. I had a brake job done last year and in early September 2021 my brakes failed. After being towed to a local major brand brake shop, there was gell and dark gunk in the brake fluid. That is indicative of the fluid never have been changed!I used to work on vehicles. So when a brake job is properly done, you flush the lines, install the new pads and then bleed the system!Over the years many little things like not tightening the oil drain plug, forgetting the drain plug washer, not being able to diagnose and fix a headlight relay issue just adds to my frustration.When Ron and Rod were alive, never had an issue. But the last several years it is issue after issue.I like Scotty the owner but his so called ASE certified people leave much to be desired!

I wouldnt even give then one star. I took my car in for a oil change and the broke off a bolt then refused to fix it now my car is pouring oil out of it and I couldnt even drive it home. Worst place ever.

At one time I thought they were the best.Ummm..... something changed.I took the truck in for a synthetic oil and filter change, same thing weve always gotten from them, in the same truck.Got home and something felt wrong. The truck had a tick and when looking at the oil saw it was VERY thick and black. Kinda like they had charged for it but forgot to actually do it. They fixed that with an actual oil change while I was watching.The next oil change came with us finding out they didnt change the filter, we marked it with a permanent marker and when we picked the truck up we looked for the mark. It was clearly still there and they tried to say they changed it. We showed them the mark they changed it, not one apology.Weve used them for oil changes in the Titan since weve had it so with the last oil change my boyfriend took it down, got the oil/ lube filter changed. When he got home I noticed the receipt only said 40 something dollars and some change. I called them and asked them to look in the computer for what kind of oil change it had in the past. They changed it we paid for the extra and still not one apology. Will not go back.

I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and lube.While the in shop experience was acceptable, I came out to my vehicle the next morning to find a full quart of oil on my shop floor. Upon inspection, the drain bolt for the oil pan wasnt even finger tight. I like to keep my money in the local community, but I cannot recommend this service station.I understand my experience may not be a typical situation, but it was my first encounter with this service station, and based on the results will be my last.

Honored warranty on a repair that failed and fixed again at no charge. Thank you. Perhaps could communicate better by calling and letting us know what was up instead of making us call them.Update: Changed rating from 4 stars to 2... misdiagnosed our van and told us it was a blown head gasket and would cost us 5k to repair with them. It ended up being a 20 dollar radiator cap that was leaking. We found this out when we spoke with someone who suggested we try it because they misdiagnosed their car that way too. Be careful and get more than one quote.

I really like the people here, but they have misdiagnosed my vehicle three times now. I ended up having to go to other mechanics to get my vehicles repaired. I will still go to them very small mechanical problems, but will avoid them for more difficult repairs.

Friendly, outgoing, they make you feel right at home. Needed an oil change and new filters replaced. No problem, couldnt believe how fast it was....I use Synthetic oil, at a dealership it would have cost me an extra $20 or more. How I got started at Hiwy fuel was by a guy who is picky about his SUV.Also, Hiway Fuel is AAA rated. Quite pleased with their service. And, my car is about to hit 100,000 miles. Bought it brand new in 2012.

Ive had good experiences in the past when dealing with Hiway Fuel. They are local, and one of the larger auto repair shops in town. Their service was once great, proactive, and they communicated well. That said, the last few times Ive brought my vehicle in, the communication has been very poor. They dont call with updates, you have to call them. This makes it tough when your only vehicle is in their care. Most recently, I called on a Friday to schedule a major repair to my vehicle, and was told they would have it done Monday evening or maybe part way into Tuesday if I dropped it off Monday morning. Dropped it off Monday morning, and waited until 4:30 on Tuesday before I called to see what the status was, as I had some important errands to run. I was told by Rod, who sounded flustered and frustrated, that the guy he had assigned to my vehicle was stuck on another project that was taking longer than they thought, but that they have all the parts for mine in stock and a plan and will start on it...Wednesday. And theyd be done in...3 - 5 days. When I asked what day he meant, while reminding him the day they origially said theyd have it done, he cut me off mid-sentence said Thursday or Friday. Im now a week without a vehicle. I can understand delays, things happen, but I cant understand failing to inform customers of them, and also failing to apologize with any sense of sincerity or attempting to make things easier for the customer. Time to look for a new mechanic.

I had 4 or 5 mechanical repairs done here and all seem fine. One time the problem didnt stay fixed and they re-did the job without additional expense and absolutely to grumbling. I still use them. Their charges are less than the car dealers.

Out of my way, but the most honest mechanics I have found in almost 40 years of driving. The saying You get what you pay for, does not apply here...you get more for what you pay for, and you usually pay less. They have my business for life.

Hiway Fuel is our go-to resource for auto maintenance. They are completely trustworthy, will tell us if work does not need to be done, and they are always friendly and efficient. In 10 years of going to them weve never had an issue. Highly recommended.

They come in displaying a dirty air filter and they dont change them out I have used these guys for many many years and I had a deep trust in what they were doing until now Mark all your products to verify that theyve been changed including your oil filter

I have taken my car to multiple shops over the years but hi way feul has always been the best. their prices are much more fair compared to some shops in vancouver, and I have never felt ripped off by them like other places. many places have tried to take advantage of the fact that Im not car savvy and even at rons automotive they tried to sell me a transmission for 2500 dollars when all that was wrong was a loose battery cable! this has never happened to me at hi way fuel. for my most recent repair, kevin was very honest about the pros and cons of what needed to be done and even made suggestions for what I should do that wouldnt benefit his or the shops paycheck in any way. after I got the repair there was a small mistake and they immediatley took care of it free of charge. the service was great, professional and fairly priced I reccomend this shop to all my friends !

Went in, asked for an oil change with full synthetic and a tire rotation. They just did an oil change, but with cheapo basic oil. No rotation, just a bad oil change. They werent busy.

To get this no charge view/info, it required speaking to an addl 2 folks behind glass maybe 2 feet apart. Silly.Coming soon - - A future rating review.Lets see what comes of the mechanics no fee assessment after my required return trip.Hmmm . . seems like a solid lead for future $$$ work for them AND yet it requires additional effort from me to make yet another trip in. Tire manager Roger broke my center cap when balancing my tires and told me he could not even give me a $5 discount he said the price is the price then shrugged his shoulders thats not good customer service. or it would be at least 3 star lady at counter was very polite and they were fast.

Made an appnt a week in advance for a transmission flush. Asked for the first appnt of the day so I could get out quickly. I arrived 10 minutes before they said they were open, and got the car to the underwriter. I went to get a haircut. After an hour and 20 minutes I walked into the shop, only to find that they had not got my car into the shop even yet. After over two hours I got my vehicle.I wanted to try and work with a local company, but that was a mistake. They knew I was displeased with the service, but I did not even get an apology from them. Take your business outside of the Washougal/Camas area. I know I will in the future. They have shown me they do not care. I hope they are so busy they can afford to lose customers, because they have just lost one.
