BMW of Waterbury--Really exceptional service department and all the workers are so kind and helpful. My car was taken in on a Tuesday for a tire pressure light and low washer fluid. It came back with those 2 things taken care of, 2 recalls completed, a software update, and it was even cleaned and vacuumed. They go above and beyond and are very thorough. Haley, the service advisor, kept me up to date on the status of the car and was very knowledgable on the product. Also, the service drive is super clean and a tech even came out to look into a small radio glitch I had going on upon arrival. Thanks for the awesome treatment and service. Love my M440i.

Buyer BEWARE. Still awaiting a call back. Dealer will sell you a car and forget you exist. Hoffman BMW refuses to answer my calls. I felt like i had to make all the effort to make the sale go through. They need more employees. I had an issue getting anyone to help me on the phone. I went to the website and just started calling the managers and leaving them voicemails so I could get someones attention. The General Manger to this day has not returned my phone call. I was promised the car on several different days only to continue to be delayed. Once they finally made arrangements for me to be picked up (as I live 3 hours away) and when I arrived on location there was nobody that was there to greet me. Once I looked at the vehicle on location I noticed that there was damage on the vehicle that had not been disclosed. The Finance managers response was “the vehicles are priced on the condition”. Once that issue was resolved, the next day my vehicle’s check engine light is flashing and the car left me stranded in the middle of the night stuck on the side of the road. Right now im in debt $80,000 and have no car to show for it. Still waiting on a response from the dealer I bought the car from, and the dealer that is servicing my vehicle.
Ive never had such a difficult time purchasing a vehicle. My first trip in I dealt with Dennis Smith on 7/21 and it was great, we test drove it, I left a deposit on the spot and filled out the credit application online and was told everything was taken care of, we then made an appointment for the following week 7/28 at 11am for delivery. He wrote it in big black letters right on the front page of my file. I show up at 11am, he has COMPLETELY forgotten about me. The vehicle is a gift for my partner for their birthday, I waited until 2pm to be seen while my partner is waiting in the car clueless. He couldnt have it ready, so I drove 4 hours to leave with no vehicle and no surprise. He then said said he would deliver it to me within the next few days, its been another week!! Thank you for ruining the surprise not only once, but twice. He has again forgotten about me and the vehicle that is a birthday gift has missed their birthday. If you like waiting a month for your vehicle, this is the place for you! I literally just received my first bill and I havent even taken possession of the vehicle yet. They do nothing to respond to the negative comments, dont you want to make happy customers? You dont do that by only addressing the good reviews that please you. Every single one of those has a reply, Im doubtful Ill get one though.8/20- One full month later, the vehicle is supposedly on its way today, even though it was supposed to be delivered yesterday. I was asked to remove my review because its not good for him or the dealership...well then do better next time. Im not removing the experience Ive had for some coffee mugs and a key chain, or the guilt trip you tried to give me. Just go to North Haven!
I am very happy with my purchase of my 530i from BMW of Waterbury. My buying experience was very good because of the salesman Karl and others here. This pre-owned car is in excellent condition with a low, competitive price. If you are looking for a good way to own a BMW at a lower price, I recommend the full coverage warranty they can provide. My pre-owned car has four years of full warranty coverage for repairs. This coverage is two years with the original and certified warranty plus two years of the Care Guard warranty. So I can own this car for three years and resell it with a transferable full coverage warranty for repairs! This will help me to sell it at a higher price. Overall a very good buying experience.
I bring my BMW X6 in for repair/service (valve cover gasket, Coils and water pump)over $3500. When picking up the car On my way home, smoke still coming from the front of the car. I call the service advisor Michael Wielk, and he told me bring the car back. They have the car for over a week the Second time. And said they didn’t see anything wrong. I took it from them and took it to BMW of Bridgeport. When they diagnose the problem, the (valve cover gasket and the coils DID’NT GET REPLACE). The Manager of Waterbury BMW JASON told me, He was going to Reimburse me back my money. Am still waiting on him to reimburse for over 6 months now. I will not recommend anyone to BMW of Waterberry.

I applied for credit on a Friday. When the next Friday came around, I left a voice mail and asked if they were going to run my credit, no response. I finally emailed with manager on cc. I take full responsibility and we will move along to make you a satisfied customer. Of course I had to threaten to go to North Haven, which I did. My credit was not approved by BMW for a lease. I figured it would be, but we loved the vehicle so we wanted to buy and we had a credit approval already. I asked the financial guy what the MSRP was so I can move forward with my credit source. His response was, today is my day off and I am not supposed to be here. The sales person who was almost nonexistent in this process never even contacted me. I had to contact him. The financial person was going to call or email me the MSRP. NEVER HEARD from him. I was going to buy from NH but I thought about it and I figured I would still give business to Hoffman because I am not going to NH for service and would end up at Hoffman for convenience. So I ended up with a Cadillac a d very happy. It did cost me a few dollars more with some pros and cons to the BMW, but the lack of customer service at Hoffman was awful. Truthfully I want to lead them into better service .
I dont normally take the time to write reviews but this one was a must for me. My wife and I have purchased several luxury brands of vehicles during the last 20 years. The staff at BMW of Waterbury is exceptional. The amount of effort they put into to making sure everything is perfect is amazing. If you are looking for a luxury vehicle this is the place to go. Front desk staff is extremely rude and makes you feel like you don’t belong there. Especially if you’re younger. Luckily, there are plenty more excellent BMW dealers in the area. My family has owned several BMW’s in our past and have never dealt with more poor customer service than this location. Good business practice starts with the front desk. A 20 something year old shouldn’t have to tell you that. I will be recommending my family and friends to avoid giving BMW of Waterbury their business until they learn how to treat their customers right.
Had to go to the BMW dealership today for an airbag recall. While I would rather consider having a root canal a better time. Lol. This particular visit was not too bad.I gave this a 5 star rating and Ill tell you why. First off, everyone was extremely pleasant. Second, I discovered they have a beverage dispenser that makes cappuccino and espressos! OMG! Yum! I waited about 2 hours. This might have seemed like a long time. But I got so hyped up on caffeine that I didnt even notice how long I was waiting.The service advisor, Mike, came over to tell me my car was ready. I swear to you, I did not want to leave! I kept thinking, how can I get one of these machines in my house!The building was immaculate. So clean.Id go visit Mike and say hi again no problem.

Total waste of time. Spoke to Elena who refused to give me an offer on our 2017 M4 comp. Was given a KKB offer FROM the dealership of $47,900. I told her we didn’t want to come there based off that offer because KKB is not realistic. She then says “ you are in Naugatuck, that is like 15 minutes from here, please bring it buy” can’t even spell by correctly. So sure I get it I have worked in the business for over 4 years. I tell my boyfriend to bring it to them. The person Jonah he was supposed to ask for wasn’t available and met with Dennis… again no problem. He stood there for 10 minutes and no one really wanted to give him the time of day. Not sure if it’s cause he is young. Dennis didn’t seem to want to give him the time of day either. They look at the car and low ball us 40k. Almost 8 grand LESS. Seriously an insult. They didn’t take into consideration any of the factory extras. They print out a edmunds report of 39k crossed it out and wrote 40. We could of logged onto the computer and did that ourselves. Was given offers today for 5k more. On top of that Jonah shows up as he’s driving away knocks on the window and has the nerve to ask if he will sell him the wheels…. Really? You knew we were coming to sell it. Why would we sell the wheels. Don’t bother coming here.
Hello BMW of Waterbury.I purchased a brand new BMW on May 13, 2021 from their dealership in Waterbury, Connecticut. The experience was very good at first. The salesman Jonah and the sales manager Ashley were very helpful and respectful when helping us decide on our purchase. The bad part of this experience was with the Finance manager Leo Kosikas, who was very disrespectful to my father and I. When it was time to sign paperwork we were directed to his office. I noticed his last name sounded greek so in a nice way I just asked him, if he was from there because my father and I are turkish, and were really close with Greece. After mentioning to him we were Turkish his whole tone and attitude changed towards us. There was a little mistake on the lease price that he had given us and when trying to figure out the price his EXACT words to us was You dont have to buy the car, Im not forcing you to by it which is true we dont have to but the way he was making hand gestures as if we werent welcome in his office was very disrespectful. From my perspective and my fathers perspective, this was something to do with us being turkish and him not liking that. It was very simple and clear to see his intentions. Im not saying dont buy a car from here because the salesman Jonah was very nice and helpful and the sales manager Ashley as well, but this kind of discrimination should be punished in a top of the line brand like BMW and shouldnt be tolerated. This was a poor way to represent BMW. If the general manager would like to discuss further feel free to call or email me.

We are thrilled to highly recommend James at BMW of Watertown who located and was able to finalize our purchase of a new X5 in late December 2020. We visited three other BMW dealerships and James was the only sales person who presented the best price at the first asking, slightly lower than the other dealerships. He also gave us detailed sheets of all the X5s he could locate since we didnt have time to custom order.It was not easy to take delivery of a new car during Covid and in the winter, but James made it easy. He spent time reviewing the features of the car and I feel comfortable calling and/or stopping by for more help on how to manage the cars features. James is very customer focused and responds to emails and texts quickly.My only issue is the detailing at delivery. Once the dealership moves to their new location on the Cheshire/Waterbury line, I hope the detailing will be cleaner and car delivery can be done in a nicer area.

I’ve purchased a fair amount of vehicles including a BMW at another dealership. It’s always been a stressful experience even when the dealers were attempting to be polite. For the first time I thoroughly enjoyed my purchase experience at BMW Watertown. Karl was an absolute pleasure to work with from my first phone call inquiring about the purchase to taking the car home. Charlie was the nicest financial representative I’ve ever worked with, he was honest and personable which is rare in the final stages of buying a car and I was incredibly impressed. Even the service department was very kind and worked quickly to wash the car so I could take the car sooner than I anticipated. Bottom line, if you’re in the market for a BMW, you should go to this dealership and you should ask for Karl. Unsurprisingly I love my new car, but if I’m in the market again for a BMW I will not go anywhere else. Best car buying experience EVER!

Recently bought a bmwX1 from the dealership, drove an hour because we weren’t overjoyed with our local BMW dealer. New building, beautiful and everyone friendly. COVID procedures firmly in place, felt extremely comfortable. Felt we got a fair deal on trade in and price. Salesman knowledgeable, did his duty and tried to push a few extras but very professional. We had a slight snafu on final delivery but the dealership manager called my wife and I and rectified everything; actually went above and beyond. Terrible service. Was transferred several times before being helped. Then was advised to bring the car in and be charged 150$ for something that can be done over the phone
After dealing with at least four other dealerships, Dennis Smith at BMW Watertown was recommended by a long-time friend. He said that if anyone could help me, Dennis could.I had leased a 2017 X5 diesel for three years and so loved the car, that I wanted to keep it. All of the other dealers kept trying to get me into a new vehicle and told me that I must pay the full buyout, even though CPOs of the same vintage were sell for $3500 to $4500 less. Dennis helped me to work a deal and I am now the proud owner of my X5 diesel (they stopped making them after 2018). I love the car and I feel real good about my interaction with Dennis & Charlie at BMW of Watertown. As a matter of fact, I have already referred someone to Dennis.Ive leased BMWs over the last 15+ years through different dealerships, but Dennis & BMW of Watertown are truly the best!!!!!

If I could I would give zero stars. The service advisor I dealt with did not document my other concerns about my car, which would later cost me $4815.09. My CPO had recently expired and I found out it would have covered those costs. Watertown BMW offered nothing nor did they care what happened. I contacted Headquarters and the dealership decided to offer me 15% off the costs. However, the new invoice was $4641.18 which is around 3.5% off. What a dishonest service. My trust is completely lost and my advice to everyone is, if you have any concerns about your vehicle make sure everything is documented because it may cost you and they will not don’t care and won’t do anything to help. I contacted Ridgefield BMW who helped me out. They felt bad about my CPO recently expiring and the situation with Watertown BMW. The service manager contacted BMW corporate on my behalf and they were able to get me 50% off the service. That’s is what I call the best customer service and were so supportive of my needs. Even if they couldn’t get me anything, the fact they took the time to listen and help me out means so much to me. Customer service and ethical business is essential unfortunately Watertown BMW knows nothing of that.
The overall experience was fantastic. Khaled Nasser did a great job in following up with me on any requests, such as the test drive, the paperwork, general information on the vehicle, and ordering the second key. I would definitely recommend anyone to come here and work with the staff, especially Khaled.
My wife and I stopped in the dealership to just look at new cars and met Dennis. He was wonderful to work with and we ended up trading in our leased vehicle for a new one. Dennis made the process of leasing the new car “no hassle” and gave us a great deal that we just couldn’t refuse. They even had the new auto ready for pickup the next day. We have been to many dealerships over the past years but found Hoffman BMW exceptional to work with because of Dennis. All of the staff were also easy to work with. Charlie completed all the paperwork and made the transfer and closing an easy process. Terrible customer service, not recommend
I walked in to inquire about leasing a car and the sales rep was great. But when he presented the lease pricing, I asked to speak with the manager and the sales rep told me the manager is too busy and he will not come out. It was extremely rude and disrespectful. For customer courtesy, the manager should have spoken to me as I requested. Worst dealership experience. It was like they didnt want to make a sale to me
I was very dissatisfied with the cost of the service. The overall labor cost was over $2400. I was aware of the cost upfront, but I would have thought it would have taken more than 5 hour to complete the repairs. I do understand that they use more than one technician to work on the vehicle, but all the repairs where being done in the engine compartment. So, I do not think they could have had more than 2 tech. I also understand that they use the time based off of book time. That being the case the total time of service should have been approx 19 hours at a $125 / hr rate. With two tech that is still close to 10 hours. If your techs can do these jobs in half the time the book estimates, I think you should look at getting a more accurate method to estimate your labor. Just my option, but I word certainly not recommend Watertown/Hoffman BMW to anyone. Especially the service department. This is my 3rd owned BMW that I have purchased and will definitely consider this experience when making any new vehicle purchases. I was charged $16.95 extra on an otherwise $500 routine service bill for SHOP SUPPLIES. When I asked what this represented I was told RAGS !! What would have been an otherwise pleasant service experience was utterly shattered by this Mickey Mouse rip off. I do expect bigger bills for a BMW service but not to be nickel and dimed. Everything else was pretty good.

After coming from a BMW dealer closer to my area, from which I bought two previous BMWs and a recent, poor sales experience for a third, BMW of Watertown exceeded my expectations. From the moment I worked with Donny, Dennis and Charlie, I knew I was in the right place. These gentlemen were professional, friendly, efficient, attentive and thorough. It made the process easy and smooth. I highly recommend working with this dealer, even if out of your immediate area, for a wonderful sales experience and future relationship.
We had an excellent car buying experience with BMW of Watertown. They provided us with all the information needed to make the buying decision including vehicle offerings, options, maintenance plans, warranties, etc. They were willing to negotiate and find dealer discounts as needed. BMW Watertown service advisor Howie was excellent! He was aware our maintenance contract was to expire soon. When the car was inspected, the service tech measured and discovered our brake pads and rotors did not meet BMW protocol, so we were very pleasantly surprised with a COMPLETE BMW brake job. All our fluids and specs were topped off and adjusted.
