Brett (the owner) has worked on my 1998 528i for the past 4 years. The quality and thoroughness of his work is impeccable and he should be considered the premier foreign car repair shop in Northern New York. Im looking forward to many more years of driving my car thanks to his expertise. Thanks again Brett.
There I was looking for a vehicle for my daughter that would be affordable and dependable when I came across motorheads post for a used BMW. I went in not knowing what to expect, and what I found was honesty and full transparency. They let me check out the vehicle, told me what it needed, and guaranteed itd be done fast and professionally. They have delivered on all their promises and the vehicle has runs better than I could have hoped for. They took care of the state inspection, registration, and checked back to make sure everything was going great.I highly recommend stopping by and seeing what they can do to get you on the road. Ill be buying my next car here for sure.
Wonderful experience, they were very communicative with me during the full week my VW was in their shop, with near daily phone calls even if there was no new information to give me. They gave me several repair options and actually went out of their way to recommend an option that would save me several hundred dollars--a lot of shops would have jumped at the chance to rip me off. I felt like I and my car were in very capable hands every step of the way. Ill absolutely be back.
Terrible. Whoever the woman is at the front answering calls is, she should be fired or reprimanded. I’m military, getting ready to move and in a tight spot trying to sell my wife’s car. I asked if they bought cars, she said “depends on what it is”, I told her it was a 2008 Kia Spectra, she then proceeded to laugh at me and say no. I called back and asked her if she laughed at all of the people who call in with offers, she said “it’s not like that” trying to save face. I asked to speak to a manager and she said there were none there (which I find hard to believe).I understand they don’t have to buy my car, but a polite “sorry we’re not interested” would’ve been nice instead of being laughed at and embarrassed while I’m already in a tight spot. If you’re one of my Army brothers or sisters at Fort Drum reading this, I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere.
We recently took my Lexus RX350 in for an oil change & service. The last place we went tried to tell us many things were wrong. Thankfully my husband has car knowledge & we left in search of an honest repair place. Motorhead was recommended by some friends. Brett & his team properly diagnosed the issues. They were upfront, honest & saved us so much money. We will definitely be back!
Ive been a customer of Motorhead for the past year. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful and have provided outstanding service every time Ive brought my Volvo in for repairs; including replacing a bad transmission. Theyve always been honest and fair in all my dealings with them and I would highly recommend you consider them if youre looking for a reliable and trustworthy mechanic.
Fact: less than a year of having my vehicle, I’ve paid $7,800 on top of the roughly $6,800 I’ve paid for the vehicle. (To make the vehicle drivable and road ready) which $6,100 of that repair cost came from a specialized mechanic in Alaska. (The whole rusted/inoperable e-break assembly which I will pay for in due time will cost $3,400 by its self)Opinion: it is possible to lower the cost of the repairs and parts if I were still in Watertown and they personally worked on my vehicle.Fact: the parts and repair cost of my vehicle are coming from a tad bit more expensive warehouse here in Alaska and are not in anyway the cheapest, another individual could find cheaper parts for a lower cost (this is just my personal situation).Fact:they are extremely nice owners.Fact: Driving the vehicle from Watertown to Alaska, I immediately had suspension height issues (which resulted in the vehicle raising and lowering the whole ride there).Fact: the cold did take a toll on the broken air suspension system and is obviously not blamed on the dealer.Fact: absolutely, they provided me with a working vehicle for no cost as they worked on my vehicle.Fact: every time I brought the vehicle in, it came back out with the same problem.Fact: the new designated mechanic specifically for my vehicle is shocked about the price I paid for the vehicle along with how much work it needs on it.Fact: I did not have to pay for certain services due to the fact they sold me the car with those deficiencies, but in that, those deficiencies were never fixed.Fact: hurts to have to right this review because I like them. But I can’t lie in the face of the Most High YHWH. These are facts, so just as long as I can speak the truth it doesn’t bother me to give you 5 stars.Shalom aleichem
Don’t waste you’re time. Bought a car from them and then had issues literally the moment I drove away, I called them and they knew about it and tried to make it stop long enough for me to get the car 🙄. So many things wrong with the car they did not tell me about, now I have to BUY A WHOLE NEW CAR. One of the biggest disappointments. I could write a book but I’ll literally just say DONT waste your time regardless of how nice they seem (they are nice).
This place is and should be investigated by the states regulatory agency! I took my car in for service in December 2019 AND had to pay before he did any work ($3200+) he had the car until May 2020 and when I went to pick it up charged another $1000+ for oil changed because he couldnt figure out what was wrong. I had it another week and had to take it back because he forgot to put some bolts back. I am in the process of filling a formal complaint. I do not recommend, unless you want to be ripped off or are a little sadistic.
The closest Range Rover repair shop. The next closest is Rochester 3 hours south. The owner is very easy to work with and looks out for you. Ill update if this changes
I recently had my 2008 m3 repaired here. Such a good experience with them. Its refreshing to find someone who cares about your car like its their own. The owner and his wife are Honest people and extremely personable. Before I moved here I have had my car repaired by bmw in the past and honestly this was a much better experience. I will recommend them to friends and family.
I dropped off my car and within 24 hours they had it diagnosed and fix. They didnt try to charge me for any extra that could have been done and the price was very reasonable. Definitely will be using them for as long as I am in the area. If you are an owner of a European car and looking for top notch mechanics, here is your shop.
Highly recommended for all your car needs owner and staff is very friendly and knowledgeable
I cant believe it this man and his shop are excellent went in to get a service light reset on my car or should I say on my Volvo XC90 and get inspection sticker done found out it was the ECM and when I came back to pick it up he didnt charge me for anything because he said look you got your hands full when I get that ECM put in and program for the car Im going back to him and had my oil change and tune-up done he recommended the right oil the right spark plugs you really see somebody stepping out to do that extra effort for another person much less a customer highly recommended for anybody who has high in vehicles whether theyre BMW Mercedes Audis or Volvo
The lady at the front desk was very unprofessional and gave out incorrect information. The “owner” was VERY uncivil and rude for no reason ! If this is your last option find somewhere else to go ! MANAGEMENT SUCKS !
I had work done on my maserati with Motorhead, they were great and able to fix my trunk latch, install aftermarket exhaust and fix the TPMS malfunction. Id recommend them to anyone looking for maintenance on European imports. And they have a fantastic hourly rate compared to a lot of other import shops.
Very nice people to work with. Still trying to make everything work but Im sure well get there.
I was driving up to Canada when the warning light on my Volvo S60 informed me that my low beam bulb needed to be replaced. I was just north of Watertown, so I pulled into a text stop to check it out. Yep, I was driving a cyclops. It was after 3 in the afternoon, and I was worried about pulling up to the border with one headlight. I called Motorhead. I was given directions, and showed up about 10 minutes later. They popped in another bulb and I was on my way. Great service! Friendly and helpful. If I lived in Watertown, I know where I would go to look for my next car.
Honest and trustworthy!
Friendly service, listened to me about the steps I already taken to fix my car issues then the mechanic diagnosed the problem. Will be a repeat customer for Land Rover service if needed.
Awesome people to work with!
Awesome place
