I went to vows in 2019 to find a wedding dress for my 2020 wedding (which was postponed to August 2021). For two full years the dress remained flawless. In 2019 they shipped it out to California for me as well. The process of finding the dress went super smooth and the consultant assigned to me was beyond helpful in guiding me towards the perfect dress!Photo credit: Mazelma Photography
Olivia was absolutely incredible during my journey of finding the perfect dress! I was a difficult customer and she was accommodating throughout the entire process. So many beautiful dresses - it was hard to make a decision. Im so satisfied with my experience there and recommend this shop to every future bride!
My consultant, Louisa, was amazing. She made me feel so welcome, supported, and excited. My entire bridal party loved her, and she provided so much helpful feedback that really helped me refine my vision. She respected my budget and ended up helping me find something off the rack that was way under, totally unexpected, and totally perfect. I honestly dont think I would have ended up with a dress I love as much as I love the one I chose, and it is in large part due to Louisa and her help. A truly spectacular consultant! The overall selection at Vows was excellent, even within my relatively small budget. I definitely recommend for anyone in the greater Boston area to visit Vows - and ask for Louisa!
I was so happy to have started my wedding dress search at Vows! It could not have been a better experience, even in the middle of a pandemic. The entire team was so professional and I happened to have the best stylist assisting me, Olivia. She was extremely well versed in all of the gowns and quickly caught onto my style and what I was looking for. Within a half hour we had narrowed it down to two incredible dresses, one of which was the one. I ended up ordering a head piece along with the dress... everything was delivered in plenty of time to get fitted for our wedding. I truly could not have asked for a better experience. It was one and done and a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!
I went to Vows this past weekend to shop for my wedding dress and had the best experience. The display room is beautiful and organized, and they had every single dress I wanted to try on on my wish list. I went in with an idea of the exact dress I wanted - but was nervous about it because I REALLY didnt want to make a choice based on a decision I made before trying anything on! We worked with Louisa, who made recommendations of other dresses I should try on, and was super honest and so helpful throughout the process. I ended up with the dress I went in thinking about, and I feel so confident it really was the best fit for me thanks to Louisa. She made me feel so comfortable, confident, and excited and I cannot thank her enough!!
I honestly didn’t know what to expect before I went wedding dress shopping. I ended up making appointments at two separate places, but honestly, you don’t need to. Vows has everything and anything you need. You will find your dress and have so much fun doing it. My consultant was Steph and I was SO happy she was. She made me feel beautiful, confident, and really encouraged me to shop out of my comfort zone. I’m so glad she did because that’s exactly how I found my dress. She has a plethora of knowledge, such a fun personality, and a true eye for beautiful dresses. So thankful I came to vows and even more thankful for Steph!
Mandy is absolutely amazing! I cancelled my appointment 4 times because I despise trying on clothes even in front of myself and I’m not the type of person to spend a lot of time shopping. Mandy made me feel comfortable from the start and she could tell when I liked a dress but knew it wasn’t the one. I told her I thought it was just me not being happy with myself and she assured me she was going to find a dress that I felt confident in THAT day. I didn’t believe her. The next dress she had me try on made me feel beautiful and confident the way I was. I never thought I’d be the type of bride to cry but I did! She made the whole experience amazing from beginning to end. Thank you so much, Mandy!
My review might be situationally specific, so please keep that in mind.My wedding dress was my LEAST favorite part of my wedding day. And not because I didn’t like the dress. After purchasing my dress from vows, it was shipped to my home (pandemic time) and it did not fit, and would not zip past my rib cage. (Same weight as when I bought it and was measured) After sending photos and speaking with an associate I was assured I should not be able to zip my own dress, and it was fine. I would assume ideally you would size up rather then a snug fit, but this is my first time buying a wedding dress so what do I know. After postponing a wedding honestly my last priority was the dress so I left it at that.Fast forward a year, and we can finally have our wedding and I go to one of the tailors recommended by vows. She confirms the size is very wrong, but can fix it. Great. But then tailor that they recommended ignored my requests to take in the bodice of the dress and instead of adding cups (easy fix and less work on her part, and brought this up after each fitting and she assured me it would be fixed and even pinned it, and never fixed it) after 4? Fittings? After picking the dress up 5 days before and the dress was STILL ill fitting, what are you going to do, at least it zips! Anyways, will only wear it once, and everyone was puzzled on my wedding day how I had the dress fitted to my body ($700) and it still fit awful. (3k dress)Long story short, if you buy here, make sure you double check there measurements, and find your own tailor!!
Vows is the real deal. Not only did I find The One (thank you, wonderful stylist Liuba, and owner Olivia!) — a gorgeous Martina Liana that I would have never expected to fall in love with, but the Vows experience has felt personal, real, and comforting. I’d shopped at many other places before Vows, most of which felt like they were trying too hard to be Instagram trendy, instead of actually tuning in to my body and dress hopes and needs. Vows has dresses for every style, and every body, and they just know what they’re doing! There’s something to be said about decades of experience.THANK YOU, Vows!
I can’t say enough about how great my experience was here! I actually went earlier in the summer after having a terrible experience at another big dress shop and was immediately put at ease by Mandy’s demeanor. She was so kind and made me feel so special. Being allowed to walk around and look at the dresses was SO helpful but she ended up pulling the dress I got. I didn’t want to commit and she was so understanding and didn’t put any pressure on me to make a decision like other places had. I ended up going back and getting the dress and I can’t wait until it comes in!!!! THANK YOU MANDY!!!!!
I had a great experience at Vows! I am plus sized and was nervous that I would not be able to try on dresses that actually fit me. However, Vows has entire section of the store dedicated to plus size and had tons of beautiful options. I worked with Olivia who was fantastic! She was so patient and did not make me feel rushed at all. I would highly recommend shopping at Vows to anyone!
This place was amazing! Went for my sisters wedding. We had Crystal who was phenomenal! After not finding the right dress on the racks, my sister showed her a picture of a dress she really liked. Crystal immediately knew which dress she wanted to grab. Went to another dressing room that another bride-to-be had tried it on in, saw the dress in the no pile and grabbed it for her.It turned out to be the dress that brought everyone to tears when my sister put it on. It was the winner, and my sister said yes to the dress at Vows. Highly recommend!!
I had a great experience at Vows. Crystal was a wonderful stylist; she knows how to give great suggestions and find what you like without being pushy. She actually ended up picking the dress I chose— I never would’ve tried it on otherwise! The whole place is quite professional and well run. Would definitely recommend.
Had my first bridal gown shopping experience today, and Mandy was absolutely wonderful! I can’t wait to make another appointment and return to finally say yes to the dress! Thank you so much VOWS, and thank you Mandy for being so patient, kind, and SO, SO helpful! I’m not ready to buy my dress yet, but I wanted an appointment to kind of narrow down my look, and Mandy helped me so much in finding the right look for me! She even offered us complimentary water bottles when we had said we were thirsty. I can’t wait to come back!
Truly lovely experience at Vows! Olivia was an amazing consultant— she was very efficient in helping me try on gowns, she let me and my guests pull a few of our own that we liked, and she was so kind and friendly. There is a huge selection here and the off the rack prices are great!
Great experience. Not rushed. Consultant was amazing!
THE PLACE TO FIND YOUR DREAM GOWN. My bridal party and I went to VOWS in September 2019 to find a show stopping gown for my winter wedding. The must NOT haves: no gems, no glitz, no glitter, no lace, no florals, no patterns. The MUST HAVES: simple, straps, all white/ivory, buttons down the back. Our group received five tickets to find an initial five dresses. My hands fell on what I knew was my dress and it was in the end the PERFECT dress. I tried on all the others just for fun - but when I was in MY dress, it was fate. I twirled, danced, and posed in my dress in various light settings to see how it would look day versus evening, I was “blinged up” with a veil and a bouquet, and we all cried when we knew it was the one to have.We had the pleasure of working with the store manager - Sara. She was AMAZING. She was so sweet, so friendly, and truly looked to make me feel as beautiful and special as could be. Finding your wedding dress is stressful - making sure you find THE dress, trying to stay true to your style, and making sure it’s in budget - and somehow Sara made me feel like I was the only customer as she addressed all of these components to dress shopping! We left VOWs with so many tears, so many pictures, and so many memories. It was the ultimate bridal experience!
I had an amazing experience at VOWS today! My stylist Rita was kind and incredibly skilled at her job. I was very nervous about dress shopping and finding something I felt beautiful in. Rita spent lots of time helping me to figure out what styles I liked and helped me talk through all of the options when I felt torn between dresses. All of the dresses she pulled were in the budget range I provided, and she pulled the perfect dress for me ! I really appreciate how attentive she and all of the staff were and how kind and supportive they are. I will add that the store also had a wonderful plus size selection, half the store is dedicated to gorgeous designer plus sizes so that you can pull any you like off the rack, I super appreciate that they are size inclusive because this is not true of all bridal stores. I had a wonderful experience and left extremely happy, I am so grateful to all of the staff! Thank you for making it a special day, it was everything a bride could hope for.
The rating on Google surprises me because it did not compare to my experience at all. It was 10/10. Today I walked away with a dress when I simply came to try on a few designer styles.Krystal was amazing throughout the entire experience: she was an attentive listener and would remind me of particular initial reactions I had even after trying on numerous dresses. She was positive, but not pushy or bias. The experience was really focused on me and picturing myself at the wedding in these dresses, and I found myself comfortable enough to do so. I also felt completely beautiful in so many dresses so they have a great selection too! You’ll definitely find something here.I kept asking for the time because I thought maybe I was going over since we made it through so many dresses and revisions. Krystal was reassuring, articulate, and made us very comfortable in the space. We were comfortable sharing our budget with her and she worked around that as well. Thank you so much for making things so simple for us!
Jessica was extremely helpful and patient and she definitely is a MVP at the shop
Mandy was great! Found the perfect dress! Our stylist made it so easy!
Well I had a good time at vows but unfortunately the sales person/ manager Sara up sold me so hard. I have a budget of 4,000 and the sales person was not pulling gowns within that price range - ultimately I ended up falling in love with a gown that retails for 7,000 - that the manager pulled for me. While she did warn me of the price before I tried it on, I was already in love. Now I am stuck in a place where I am trying to find a gown within my price range that measures up to this gown that is perfect in my eyes. I feel very swindled and manipulated. When I was leaving she was pressuring me to make a decision quickly - warned me that I need to decide soon because “you never know with covid - companies will discontinue gowns and I would hate for you to not get this gown”.... overall broken-hearted. :(
We loved working with Mandy, and found the perfect dress very quickly!
Is it weird to invite your consultant to your wedding??? I went to VOWs for my first time trying on dresses this week. They have an abundance of options and very helpful staff. Mandy my consultant made my experience AMAZING. She made me her priority the moment I set foot in the building. She was honest, supportive, understanding, and fun! I went into VOWs with no particular style in mind and Mandy guided me graciously throughout the appointment to the point where I found my dream gown! My experience at VOWs was everything I have ever dreamed of and more. Highly recommend!
There’s no bridal shop like Vows!! In addition to their beautiful dresses, the staff is so friendly, helpful and not pushy. I was assisted by Sara and she made me feel so comfortable. This was my 4th bridal shopping experience and I’m glad I saved the best for last!
Wonderful selection and terrific, attentive staff. We worked with Kasie and she was wonderful and zeroed in on just what my daughter wanted in a wedding gown. Great experience and amazing costumer service!!
KRYSTAL DID A FANTASTIC JOB HELPING ME FIND MY DRESS!!!! i felt so comfortable and just relaxed. once i walked in the doors and she greeted me all my stress went away!! BEAUTIFUL DRESSES! Krystal knew what i was looking for and helped me find THE DRESS! Beautiful store and was very clean!!!!! WILL RECOMMEND VOWS TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!
Today I had my second bridal experience and my first time at VOWS. Mandy was my consultant and I loved her from the start! She was high energy, super friendly, positive, energetic, she was my own personal hype girl! I was with my mom and my dad, and even though my dad felt slightly out of place, I think Mandy helped make him comfortable. Mandy had looked at my wishlist and knew what my style was. We seemed to click in that sense- she definitely knew my personal style! Mandy pulled dresses that I liked and a few that she thought would work. Ultimately, she and my mom found my dress! She was honest with her opinions about each dress I tried on, which I appreciated. We all knew which dress was the one, but I NEVER felt pressure from her to say yes to the dress. In the end, I did say yes! The entire process was so easy, and I left feeling super confident and beautiful. The bridal salon was very clean and very Covid-conscious. They are definitely taking precautions seriously, which is appreciated. We had a lovely private area to try on dresses which was very much socially distanced from other customers. My parents and I had a great experience!!
My bridal fairy godmothers made all my dreams come true! Right after our engagement I knew the dress I wanted to wear, and it was so extremely out of my budget. It remained a pinterest dream until I reached out to Vows. I put in the online request for the dress, thinking it was a needle in a hay stack- and within two weeks I get an email that they found the gown. I was crying on the phone to my mom, overwhelmed with joy and when the price came in, it was in my budget! It was a fairytale. They sent photos, and answered every question I threw at them, during which I felt like I was talking to a good friend. My seamstress was blown away with the quality of the dress and could not believe what a steal it was. I recommend them to everyone of my friends. They are the fairy godmothers of weddings making all of wedding dress dreams come true. Thank you so much!
Very nice staff. Lovely selection. Thrilled with my daughters dress, the price, and the quick turnaround.
I went to Vows yesterday. My first appointment to try on wedding dresses! My stylist, Mandy, was amazing! Very kind, fun & honest. I would recommend Vows to anyone looking for a wonderful experience!
Amazing selection of gorgeous dresses. However, felt rushed and didn’t think we received the best customer service. Pulled many dresses that the sales assistant put back without telling me. I only tried on 6 dresses and left within 45 minutes. I would have loved to spend the whole time and try on more but I felt the associate wanted us to leave. When we didn’t say yes to the dress the associate seemed unhappy and upset.
My experience at Vows is the experience I wish for any future bride. From the moment I called to make an appointment I knew I was going to be treated with kindness, patience, and excitement! It’s not every day that a woman gets married and I found the positive energy and radiant smiles so special and heartwarming. I can’t rave enough about Sarah, the woman in charge of helping me find the perfect dress for me. Although there was a chance that I didn’t find it here, she was positive, kind, patient, and experienced. Vows has a huge variety of gowns which helps fit any woman’s dream style. I felt confident and beautiful and not one bit stressed. The entire place is spotless, organized, and filled with the most gorgeous dresses. I 100% recommend any future bride to consider Vows as one of one of their dress hunting choices. You won’t regret it!
Very professional and supportive when getting your dress. They make sure you feel comfortable and meet dress deadlines. They are also making sure to follow covid guidelines (taking everyones temp, social distancing, etc.). Awesome!
I was on a hunt for a wedding dress in December 2019 for a March 2020 wedding. I had only visited one other bridal store prior to visiting VOWS. I did not plan to visit many stores because I wanted it to be a stress-free process and luckily it was! I found my dream dress at VOWS! The staff were very helpful in finding options for me off the rack since there would not be enough time for me to custom order. I tried on a few options until I tried on the ONE and I knew instantly that I had to have it. However, the lace on the top of the dress was making my skin itchy and it was a little over my budget. There was another dress I tried on that I liked…but did not love. Still, I decided to put a deposit on option 2 dress to hold it so I could think about it more to make sure I wanted to commit since it would be final sale. I was very appreciative of that option since I tend to second guess myself sometimes. That night I lost so much sleep because I kept thinking of THE dress (the itchy one I loved). I just knew I was going to regret not getting it. The next morning, I knew I had to get the dress. i was there bright and early! Thankfully, since I was the last person there the night prior, the dress was still there. They were able to just exchange the dress, apply the deposit to it and I just paid for the rest of it right there and took it home! The staff helped ease my worries about the itchiness by recommending I talk to my seamstress to see if she could cover the itchy edges of the dress with a ribbon. And they were right! My seamstress worked it out and I also used the Gold Bond Friction stick, which was a lifesaver. I did not itch one bit for the 5 hours I had my dress on! I was so grateful to have found the dress of my dreams off the rack and at such a great price. About 60% off original price! There would have been no way I could have paid so much for a dress otherwise. The staff were so friendly and made my dress shopping experience painless!
Very helpfull staffs, beautiful selections from several designers, highly recommended.
No dresses under $1200. It would be a nice customer service touch if they would offer referrals to other businesses who sell less expensive wedding dresses.
Vows Bridal has an extensive selection of bridal gowns in all shapes, sizes, and price points. I went in with an open mind and a pretty loose idea of what I wanted to spend, so was very willing to see what the stylist would pull for me. Everyone that was there was very helpful from setting up an appointment to trying on dresses. Order and pick up was a breeze!
Great uplifting experience, the staff is super friendly and engaging! Definitely a spot worth putting on the list.
Mandy was SO kind and helpful. I would highly recommend Vows as first stop in dress shopping as they have a great selection! My mom and I very very safe and comfortable shopping during covid times.
Wonderful! Huge selection of gowns, & very interested, helpful & efficient staff. Highly recommend! We found the gown there!
Vows is awesome! They have tons of dresses to choose from, it’s a very comfortable environment, and our consultant Ashley was amazing. She was not pushy in the least, like some of the other bridal salons we had gone to. She was down to earth, sweet, knowledgeable and understood exactly what I was looking for. She didn’t make us feel rushed or pressured. I felt like I was just shopping with a friend. We had previously gone to a store that was a little more strict in their approach. It was very sales-y, limited on time, and we were not allowed to take any pictures of the dresses. At Vows, it was like night and day. We were given little tags with my name on them to go and choose a bunch of dresses to start with. The tags go on the hangers of the dresses I wanted to try, and someone would come by and take them into my fitting room. The consultant then continued to help me with my dress selection after I tried all of those on. So smart! My friends and I had such a good experience, and I found my dress!
I went here for my best friend’s wedding dress. This was the first place we went. Our consultant Ashley was so kind and heartwarming. She wasn’t pushy or pressuring! She was the perfect consultant! Although my friend didn’t pick her dress today as she wanted to look at other boutiques, we definitely will be coming back here for bridesmaids dresses and other wedding events. Thank you Ashley for an amazing experience!
I had a wonderful experience! I went there expecting to dislike the dresses because of the price, but I have to say they were great! In the past, it’s been different with more people there and seeing my friends be rushed but that wasn’t my experience at all as a bride. Because of COVID19, it was a much calmer experience and as a bride, that was exactly what I wanted and needed. Thank you!
I went to Vows not knowing what to expect. The store manager Sara knew at first glance which dress would look best on me. Of course, I did not believe her. It was a Saturday so the store was crowded and I felt rushed. It felt like Black Friday at the mall. I tried on about 10 to 15 dresses, after which, I was emotionally exhausted going back and forth in my head on which ones I liked better. I couldnt decide and I had to make a 2nd appointment during a weekday. Sara was patient with me, allowing me to pick different dresses and helping me in front of the mirror. In the end, I chose the very first dress that she had recommended when she sized me up with her eyes the moment I met her. She educated me on dresses, too, telling me about the different fabrics, styles, other designers. The hardest part of the experience was that I wanted to feel like I was on the show Say Yes to the Dress but, in reality, what I really had to do was let my guard down and desire to be in control and listen to the advice and recommendations that Sara at Vows had to offer. If you allow yourself to listen to the advice, the stylist at Vows will pick the best dress to fit the curves of your body and accentuate your face. Expect to pay between $1000 to $5000 for a designer dress.
Vows was my second stop on my wedding dress shopping journey. My consultant was really in tune to my vision for my wedding and listened to my descriptions of what I had already tried on to make sure the new dresses she was suggesting for me were different and gave me a full view of what was out there. When none of the dresses quite compared to one dress at the other salon she switch from consultant mode to friend mode. Even though she knew it meant I wouldnt buy anything, she was more invested in making sure I got exactly what I wanted and told me to go back to the first dress. I couldnt be more thankful to her and my experience!
I went in alone right when they open on a Tuesday. There was no other customers that I could see. They gave me some time to look around and get a feel for the dresses. There were a ton of options for plus size brides, all of them were stunning. Ashley helped me with picking out dresses and trying them on. She picked a few different styles that she thought I would like. She stayed within the budget I gave her and was super nice. She also helped me take pictures of every dress. If youre plus size and nervous about trying dresses, give Vows a try! I cant say how the purchasing process is as I am still deciding, but the try on process was painless and fun.
If I could give VOWS 10 stars, that I absolutely would! On my way to my appointment with VOWS, my mother and I were very stressed because of my father having an illness, and life in general was VERY stressful. It was hard to be excited to try on dresses with so much going on. I convinced myself that I was not going to find a dress that day, and that maybe we would just look around. When we got there, the staff was super friendly, and I was able to meet the owner Leslie. I explained my situation, and Leslie exuded nothing but compassion and understanding. She was absolutely wonderful to me and my mom, and she showed me some truly beautiful dresses. I am also a full-figured client (which means I needed to order my dress), and I also had a short time-frame (my wedding is in August 2018). Leslie met all of my circumstances with assurance and grace. As someone who has worked in sales/retail, I can honestly say that it was the best experience I have ever had, hands down. I will never forget what VOWS has done for me, I will remember it forever. The best part, I found my dress!
Vows Bridal has a great selection of gowns by different designers with varying prices as well as gowns on the rack for a discounted price. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my appointment. My bridal consultant, Krystal H, was awesome - she brought a lot of energy and enthusiasm! She helped me pick out dresses that fit the styles I was looking for and that were within my price range. I would definitely recommend making an appointment at Vows if you are looking for a wedding dress! They will even ship your dress for a flat fee if you live outside of Boston or MA.
Came here not expecting to purchase a dress. Happened to call the day of to see if they had any openings, which they did. I told them I had 6 people and they were more than accommodating to our group. I had Gabrielle as my consultant and could not have been happier! She helped me decide with her honest opinions and never once made me feel pressured to purchase a gown. Awesome service!
I love Vows Bridal, my consultant was Ashley and she is awesome, she was very patient, very helpful, and very understanding. She went out her way so many times just to make sure i picked the right dress although i may have tried on 5 or 6 dress she did everything she could just to help me make my decision, and i am very happy with the dress I picked out! Thank You so much Ashley, you kept me on my budget with a stunning amazing dress. My ride from CT was 150 miles but it was so worth it going to Vows bridal than to go to NYC which is way closer but Vows kept me on my budget and there are plenty of dresses to choose from at great prices.
I feel the shop needs to work on customer service. They have limited hours, a very small parking lot, and rigid policies, as well as no access to a tailor. Financial policy requires you to pay in full. My dress, mother of the bride, to 3 months. Im not sure I like it, but its my problem. When I arrived to pick it up, some guy at the desk asked if I called in advance. Please.I drove 25 miles and I did call ahead. Instead of carrying the dress around the counter, and giving it to me, graciously, he just hung it at the end of a rack and asked if I wanted to look it over. Their gowns looked very pretty for brides, but we werent shopping for brides. Good luck!
Do not go here for your wedding dress if you are tight for time. I was lead to believe my Rush order dress would arrive in store within 7weeks. I was also charged for this Rush order. At week 8 I called in to check the status of my order, the receptionist told me my dress would arrive by the end of week 10. I reminded her of the extra charge for the 7 week rush and she quickly changed her story stating the dress had been shipped the day before, when questioned she changed the story again saying it would be shipped by end of the week. The next week came and my dress arrived. When I went to try it on in the front changing room, right next to the entrance of the store, the attendant helping me change into the dress held it out in front of her as of it was going to attack her, holding it in a way that was impossible for my 5 frame to leap into. She didnt even help to close the back. Once my mother stepped in to do the job of the attendant and help me out of the dress, the young woman opened the curtain while I was half clothed and flung the door to the dressing room open for everyone in the store front to see me covering my body with my hands. There were also men at reception with their daughters and brides.I was incredibly disappointed with my experience, but I do love my dress and was refunded the rush charge.
A wonderful day at Vows looking for my daughter’s wedding dress. We were greeted by Illyse who gave us the lay of the land and answered our questions. Our consultant Ashley was fun, positive, and upbeat. Both of these ladies made the experience of dress shopping an event we won’t soon forget!! Bonus, the future bride said, “Yes to the Dress!!”
It was an amazing experience from start to finish! Brittany was our consultant and she listened very well to what ideas we had and what we were looking for. She let us go through and pick out some dresses to start with and then was amazing at guiding us through trying on the dresses, determining what aspects we liked/didnt like, swapping in/out dresses that would be closer to what I was looking for, and finding the perfect dress in the end. They had a great selection and while, hands down, the dress I picked was the one, there were a large number of other dresses I tried on that would have been strong contenders
The manager was great, she helped my daughter pick her dress for her wedding. She knew her dresses very well to help my daughter pick her dream dress🙂
Sara was very helpful and made my bridal experience enjoyable! Staff was professional and super polite. Highly recommend!
Had a great time! Found the gown! Tried 9 beautiful gowns on. Some of them twice! Plus veils. Pheww! The place was packed with happy brides to be. Our sales person was knowledgeable with attention to detail. She knew exactly what we were looking for and provided many options. Really good experience.
I had a great experience at Vows. The store was much larger than I anticipated. They give you the option of walking around yourself, getting help finding a dress, or a combination of both. I worked with Georgia, and she was fantastic. I spent time looking through all of the racks, and then I showed her what I was looking for and she had a few other beautiful suggestions. I left with a wonderful dress at a fair price. The only suggestion I have is that the 1 hour appointment is not enough time to make this kind of decision. You might need to go a few times to make sure you get the right dress...unless Vows might consider extending their appointment window.
Selection was great. Our consultant was very helpful. I was told they had reasonably priced dresses and I was a little disappointed.
Had an incredible experience today with the owner and her staff. They were all so professional, knowledgeable and genuinely want to help make my wedding day perfect! #topnotch
Very professional! We had the pleasure of having Leslie the owner as the consultant to the bride and she was phenomenal! After the first round of dresses we picked she knew exactly the direction and Vibe we are going for, for the wedding and my friend left with a gorgeous dress!! The best part was absolute zero sales pressure
As a reminder to myself of what never to do to destroy my own happiness. This is the place. Beautiful gowns all waiting to be worn by that beautiful bride to be. The choices are endless.
Best experience I ever had dress shopping! Erin was awesome and really listened to what me and my family had to say. She chose a dress that I never thought I would want and she was right! I found my dress and I was thrilled with my experience! Erin was the best!
I’m torn on how to rate my experience at Vows.On one hand... this ended up being the place where I technically found my gown. However, it led to weeks of mulling over a dilemma about budget.Vows went on and on - both via telephone & in person - about how they will 100% respect one’s budget goals and would keep in mind budget AND time frame when pulling gowns for the bride. That not only would they respect the budget, but they would keep the plus size fee & rush fee in mind so that even with them, I wouldn’t go over budget or would at least tell me in advance so I could decided if I wanted to try something. I ended up being put in a gown FAR over my budget (about $2K more). The consultant didn’t even mention the massive jump in price until after I was thoroughly considering the gown as it was the closest I found to what I wanted. In addition to being over budget, it required extra spending in alterations beyond typical alterations to get the look we were discussing, which put it even further over budget. I also later learned that Vows, even after leaving me waiting (understandably) so the consultant and her manager could supposedly look up customization options through the designer, gave me completely false information regarding the design house’s policies for customizing, and therefore none of what they promised could be done actually could be done.In the end... after several bridal shop appts visiting many stores... I bought “that dress.” I felt guilt not ordering it through Vows since that’s where I first tried it on. But the worst guilt? Not being able to stop thinking about a gown far over budget and therefore my mother, who truly wanted to purchase it for me, spending so many extra thousands of dollars on a dress.Vows didn’t buy themselves a sale through these hurtful tactics. Or perhaps it wasn’t a sleazy tactic but rather oversight and lack of communication on their part. Either way, they left me feeling very confused and guilty. I will continue to wonder if I’d had found a gown closer to our budget had they kept their word and only placed me in gowns that met my budget.
Amazing shop! Elizabeth was super helpful!!
A great selection of dresses and reasonable prices! I didnt find my dress there but I definitely would recommend ladies going there! The woman that helped me was so nice and funny she really enhanced my experience!
As a plus size bride I was extremely skeptical and even nervous about shopping for a wedding dress. There were tons of gorgeous dresses at Vows, the staff was so friendly, and extremely helpful. There was no pressure from my consultant, Krystal, who was incredibly patient and kind. Not to mention she always made sure I knew my opinion mattered above all in the room and never made me feel rushed despite how busy they were. I didnt end up finding a dress I LOVED but there were definitely some major contenders here. Absolutely recommend.
I had a wonderful experience with Ashley this week @ Vows. Though I ultimately said yes to a dress at another shop, my experience at Vows was perfect. I would highly recommend adding Vows to your journey and if you have the opportunity to request to work with Ashley, you won’t be disappointed!
My mom is finding a wedding dress and we had such a great experience
This is the worst experience for wedding dresses shopping! Thank God it wasn’t our first experience shopping or it would be even more devastating then it was. Our first stop was at David’s Bridal Natick and it was as wonderful as you’d expect. At Vows the selection of dresses is very boring and staff is lazy and unhelpful. On top of that the owner came up and said “ if you don’t like it here you don’t have to stay” practically throwing clients out the door for no reason. My daughter who’s bride to be has left in tears and we all so sad and disappointed. We were looking forward to this fitting for a week and it turned out to be a nightmare. Stay away from this place. Go to stores where you’re appreciated and made special.
Excellent sales staff. Helpful, knowledgeable without being pushy. Willing to work within our budget without trying to persuade us the perfect dress could be found if we only spent more.Perfect dress was found and just under our budget.
Great selection, great staff, and such an organized response to safely getting brides their dresses with pick up appointments. Thank you!
Came in for a bridal consultation with HIGH HOPES of finding a dress. Heres my experience:1) Arrived 15 minutes early (as requested)..for NO reason. Consultants were slim and had us waiting even at our scheduled time.2) Was greeted by a girl who explained that one side of the store is for smaller brides, the other for larger brides. Her next question (while looking at me), was which side would you like to start on? REALLY THOUGH? (Im a 12/14 in street clothes, and I do NOT appear small...what do YOU think?)..the NERVE.3) They boast on having plus options...in reality, theyre not large enough for try-ons.4) The consultant I had was incompetent. She had no clue on how to properly clip the dresses (the very few that needed to be clipped) so we can get a visual of how the dress COULD look.5) The entire appointment was stuck between this cant even go on to give us a visual and this cant even stay up to give us a visual.Sad experience for having had my first bridal gown appointment. Will not be purchasing here.
I came here and found my dream dress for a reasonable price. The thought of spending a fortune on a dress that I was only going to wear one day made me sick. I went to a bunch of bridal salons in Connecticut and only found a bunch of expensive and underwhelming dresses. My friend recommended that I to go to Vows and Im so glad I did. I was very content with my experience and Im absolutely in love with my dress.
Ashley was an amazing attendant. She helped my sister find the perfect dress for her. Also it was the first and only place that had feminine hygeine products in the bathroom.
We loved it. Its conveniently located off the highway. Leslie the owner was great. My Bestie said YES to her dress. Only problem was the parking, its very limited.
I’ll start by saying that Vows does have a big variety and has beautiful dresses. My appointment started by browsing the racks and identifying what I liked, and meeting the stylist that would be working with me and letting her know my budget and what I was looking for in a dress. I worked with Sara K., the store manager. She pulled dresses that I loved, and ultimately was between Two beautiful dresses that she had pulled for me. I was very excited about potentially finding my dress at my first appointment that day, until I checked the price, and she pulled me dresses that were DOUBLE the max of my budget. She was very pushy and made promises to get me a free veil (which I have seen in other reviews) and tried dissuading me from going to my other appointments. What I’m most upset about that she brought me dresses that I got excited about and that she knew were well beyond my budget.
I bought my Maggie Sottero wedding dress here about 3 years ago. I brought my mom and sister with me. We basically picked all the dresses ourselves. I got some assistance while trying them on. Overall it was a great experience because I found my gown!
We had a great experience at VOWs. They have so many dresses to choose from and let you pick what you like off the rack. Everything is organized by size since most gowns are off the rack. The consultant Sara, did a wonderful job and helped to suggest gowns once she saw the brides taste. Prices were affordable as well.
This place was awesome. Now I havent done a lot of dress shopping and this isnt a bridal boutique its an outlet. The girls were helpful but not too pushy, they let you find the dress vs getting you to try on hideous monstrosities. They were very accommodating but werent over bearing. Plus they shifted the change rooms around so I, being a man, could see the Dress on.We bought a dress there and saved over 60% of the price. The dress was perfect with very few alterations.Go there, check em out! If you dont expect a bridal shop to try and woo you with BS, this one is golden!!
This is hard to write because I actually love my dress that I got from Vows, but I dont feel like I got any sort of deal, oppositely I feel like I got completely screwed financially. And no one cared that I got screwed either.I went to Vows SPECIFICALLY for their discounted dresses. I told the bridal consultant that I was looking to spend no more than $1,300 on my dress. She grabbed a huge variety, and I ended up falling completely in love with with a $1,750 lace sweetheart, mermaid gown. One of the reasons I fell head over heals was because it fit me like a glove! The only difference which I knew I would have to have done regardless of any dress was the length because I am only 51. I was amazed to find out that the dress was a size 8 ... generally I am a size 4/6. I had heard that dresses run big, so figured an 8 was not that crazy. When they took my measurements, they said they were going to order a size 6 to which I said wouldnt be smart because the 8 fit me perfectly ... not big or small, literally perfect. To order a size 6 would be going smaller ... you can take fabric away if it is too big, but you cant add fabric if it too small. They didnt even hesitate and said the 8 was fine to order as well.Three months later, I am watching I Found The Gown on TLC. And to my amazement, someone on the show tries on my exact dress. Usually with Vows, what you see is what you get. However, I happened to pick a dress that came on a rack that you could order from. So as I watched the show, a girl walks out of the changing room and in my EXACT dress, to which her bridal consultant says This dress retails for $1,750 but we are selling it for $750! My jaw dropped. I was completely caught off guard and hurt that I was charged an EXTRA $1,000!!!The next day, I called and asked to speak with a manager. As I explained to the manager that this was really quite awkward to confront, and that I was hurt somewhat that I was ripped off, she cut me off basically and made it very clear that she could not have cared less. She told me that on the show they tried to sell her the crap floor model, and because I ordered from the rack, I had a custom dress for me. Instead, I needed to come in and pay $990 for the remaining balance because my dress had just come in. Even being the case that they were going to sell her that version, I was never offered the floor model. I am paying for most of my wedding myself, and I could have used the extra $1,000. And the worst part: at NO point did she even bother to say SORRY or SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION. There was ZERO compassion. She didnt care at all, not one bit. I was stunned and angry. To make matters worse, I grabbed my dress that week and just bit the bullet and paid the balance, verified that they ordered the right size and left as quickly as possible. A few weeks later I brought my dress to the woman doing my alterations. As I put the dress on, in the SAME size I tried on in the store, the dress practically fell off my body. It was EASILY 2 sizes too big. It was horrible. I can say honestly that I lost ZERO weight between then and when I ordered the dress, so I know it was not my body. Oh, and the best part? The quote for my dress to be completely redone: $600!If you dont care about the risk of being ripped off, then Vows is a great place to go. If you care about being cost effective and being treated with compassion, Vows is not for you.
Staff is very friendly and so kind. they want to help you to choose which gown will make you happy.
I purchased my dress from VOWS. My appointment felt rushed due to myself being late, and I had a lot of reservations with the gown. After a lot of persuasion from my consultant, I went $800 over the top end of my budget and chose a dress. With my consultant telling me my dress could be discontinued at any moment. I called the next Day to stop the order and return my gown because I knew it wasn’t my dress. I came again to try on dresses and found there were not a lot for my size that looked good on me. I was preparing to come back at another Time. I was put back in my previous dress. I wanted a mermaid or trumpet, something very form fitting. My dress was not like that. My consultant told me that I could have it fitted to me no problem and could get the look I desired. Despite being hesitant with more money for alterations, I purchased the gown. When I went to for alterations (through the person they recommended), she said that in order to do the alterations, she would ruin the design of the dress and she would advise against it. She said it would ruin the lace and underlay. She said that you shouldn’t have told me that vows shouldn’t have said they could make the alterations when in fact it would be a problem to. I feel like my entire experience was not what I wanted it to be. I would have never purchased a dress that wasn’t what I wanted. Now I am a couple months from my wedding with a dress I’m not crazy about. It’s greedy and awful to tell someone lies just to make money. I would not suggest going to vows if you want a memorable and relaxing experience.
Very helpful, polite and they went above and beyond to accommodate the bride to be in finding her dress or just to help determine the style. Were not pushy at all and respected our budget.
I had an incredible experience at Vows today. From the moment I walked in I was greeted warmly and everyone I interacted with was very friendly. I was fortunate enough to have Erin as my consultant and she was so sweet, patient, and helpful. After trying on a number of dresses that I had picked out but wasnt in love with, Erin brought in a dress that she thought I would like. She was spot on and I fell in love with it instantly! It was under my price point too. Definitely a pleasant surprise to see that they dont just try to push the more expensive gowns and truly do want to help you. Thank you all again!
Great service without being pushy. Had a limited collection so bought my dress elsewhere.
Went with my niece, had a great consultant, Erin was very helpful and accommodating.we were not rushed but that could just be timing. It met our needs..found a great gown!!
All BRIDES AND THEIR FAMILY AND FRIENDS Stay away from this place as FAR AS POSSIBLE !!! Even more this place needs to be close soon!!! Such a waist of time and SOOO RUDE ( including owner Leslie!!!!).The staff is very unhelpful and not professional at all!At the end of our awful experience at this store the owner made us leave with negative emotions and experience which is not acceptable at all for any brides or their families!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS Vows store which is NOT VOWS AT ALL!!!
Staff was very nice. Prices were okay, but not as discounted as I though they would be given the dresses are only in the size there and have been tried on a 100 times so have some decent wear & tear on them.If youre around a size 12 wedding dress, you might find a real gem. I found it hard to imagine how the dress would be altered to fit me given they were very big on me.
Great place, found a dress same say we visited. So many great choices.
Variety of range in style. Amazing service.
I recently went with my sister for her bridal dress and the experience was horrible. The dresses were in terrible condition, ripped, stained, make-up marks etc not very cared for. The prices of the dress were comparable to other boutiques only you do not get a fresh dress, you get one that has been worn. The consultants do not assist you in picking gowns, do not help you in the dress and your appointment is rushed. Not the bridal gown shopping experience any girl dreams of.
I sort of just walked in to the store after having a really unsuccessful and discouraging appointment at another store in Chestnut Hill. I had a price and style in mind, and the front desk associate was friendly even though I was a walk-in. I prefer to shop by myself first before asking for help from a sales associate, and the staff at Vows let me do just that. The gowns I wanted to try on were quickly re-located to my dressing room, and I was assisted by a staff member once I had finished shopping on my own. She gave me honest feedback in a very kind way (which I really, really appreciated), and I ended up finding a dress that fit PERFECTLY - no alterations necessary, if you can believe it. The price was a few hundred dollars under what I wanted to pay, and it fits my personality and style perfectly. It was the second dress I tried on at Vows (during my first visit there!), and I left the store with it twenty minutes later. I like that the staff doesnt suffocate you, but are still available. If youre the sort of bride who knows exactly what she wants, this place will be a dream come true.
Let me start out by saying that I was very nervous about finding my wedding dress. I am really body conscious, lost a considerable amount of weight and need someone to help me find something that looks good on my new body.My experience at Vows left me in tears. Literally.I made my appointment a couple weeks out as they dont allow walk ins. When I made the appointment, I told them about my nervousness and they assured me Id be with a consultant that would know what they were doing. We arrived on time and were brought to the gowns in my size by one consultant and then left to pull dresses our selves. My family and I pulled dresses not really knowing what shapes or styles would look good on me - so when my consultant finally arrived to greet us maybe 15 minutes later, she brought me right to the dressing room. The first gown I tried on was way too small for me and just was not the right fit for my body. When I went to get out of it, the zipper got stuck, so my consultant informed me she was going to cut me out of the dress. Being already self conscious about my weight - this left me mortified. And this was the very first dress. It wasnt until about 4 or 5 other wrong dresses and tears that she asked to see my pinterest and about my wedding. After reviewing them, she brought back a few gowns that was similar to what I was looking for... except none of them were in my size. Either they were 4 sizes too big, or 2 sizes too small. After that, I said no more and left the salon so discouraged. This is not the experience I envisioned shopping for my dress. After seeing TV shows like I Found the Gown or Say Yes to the Dress you imagine a stylist that will take the time to get to know you, what you like, and use their experience about body types to find a great fit! This just simply did not happen. It felt like a bridal factory. Maybe if you were a bride that knew they had a particular gown and wanted a steep discount on that particular dress?I ended up finding a wonderful family-owned bridal shop in Arlington and had the experience I was looking for with the most wonderful consultant!I am the first of my friends to get married - and I will make sure none of my girlfriends go to Vows!
We probably would have loved it had we gotten an earlier appointment. Felt rushed because they were closing. We drove a looooong way to get there.
