I just felt I was not being told the truth I have had my car for 7 months and have been there like 5-6 times and now got it inspected and all kids of things wrong with it . When they have looked at it many times and was always told it was fine ? Not going to lie it may have something to do with I’m a girl . Not feeling confident with them . Seemed professional though

We had a blow out on 95 N before the 120 exit, I had my two kids. Thankfully no one was hurt and no accidents caused! But the tow truck driver was prompt, friendly and and accommodating! When we just moved to Waterville, we went to them for some repair. They never show you the parts and say they threw it in a box of old parts and dont know which one is yours. How convenient! Second and last time we went to them, they had to call the parts supplier. Both my husband and I overheard clearly that the part cost 100 bucks and after the call a few seconds later, the guy told us only the part costs 400 bucks. We left! BEWARE - they will SCAM you big time.Update: Of course, you wont be happy with the review. If I got scammed by 2 garages, it is my duty to report it, whether you like it or not. People need to know or you guys need to start being honest. This is hard earned money that people spend at your place. Fortunately, we were able to find someone honest in town and used his services ever since. By the way, we used your services in early 2017 when you still had your car dealership.

I have had repairs done by this shop in the past and they had treated me fairly. This time repairs were done without consulting us. Temperature was reading fine when we brought vehicle in when we picked it up it only would get to 140 degrees. Brought it back and they put new thermostat and actuator in without calling us. Just alot of unnecessary stuff they didnt want to own up to.

The service is knowledgeable and quick. The people here are friendly. I get a lot of work done at this shop, so I would recommend it to anyone. However, the price is high. They can take care of pretty much any issue your vehicle might have.

I ended up going off the side of the road and messing my car up pretty bad. This tow guy, pulls over and offered assistance. So nice. He was great. He brought my daughter and I to McDonalds so we could wait for a ride home, and he brought my car to their shop. The shop guys were so nice and helped walk me through the process (Ive never been in a car accident). Answered all my weird questions. They were super quick about working with the insurance company and getting my parts ordered right away. The office called me to give me updates and progress statues. These guys are great. Id do business with them more often if I lived closer.

My experience at Ace Tire has been one of the worst of my life. When I brought my car in it drove fine-- when I drove it out it was broken. As soon as I left my tire came clean off and the car body dragged along the road. I was forced to stop in the middle of the road. If it was a busy road, I would have been hit, and my friend and I could have been hurt or even killed. When we spoke to the mechanics, they said they had simply forgotten to tighten the lugnuts. How could professionals have forgotten such a simple thing?! When I spoke to the manager and asked to be refunded some of the cost, he told us that nothing had happened, and never really apologized or even asked us if we were ok. He only gave us $100 off, but even that was a struggle-- when I said I wouldnt be returning, he said there would be no point in giving us a refund then. We were supposed to take a trip to Montreal, but now I dont feel safe driving my car, and have had to cancel my trip and have lost the money I spent on hotels. Unbelievably awful experience. Never go here. They do not care about the safety of their customers.

My family has been going here since it opened in 2005. After my experience today, I will NEVER go there again, I will NEVER recommend them, and I will make sure to tell my experience to MANY PEOPLE. You dont treat your customers this way. Especially the loyal ones! NOT RECOMMENDED.

I actually own an auto repair facility/gas station in the Boston area and these guys saved me after I got a flat tire on 95 right before their exit. It was 4 oclock on a Friday but these guys did not hesitate to help, even though they were busy. I would not hesitate to get my car worked on there, even though like I said, I own a similar place. I read some of their reviews and I would say take the bad ones with a grain of salt, it is not easy working on peoples cars and keeping everyone happy. Happy to know there is a place away from home who is honest and can help if Im in a pinch.

Great and timely service with good prices

Tried to change me for work I did not ask for and they didnt ask me before they did it. Also tried to tell me my brake light was out and wouldnt give me an inspection, only to get it home and find out there was nothing wrong with my brake lights. Went back a week later having done nothing to the light and they passed it and charged me again for the sticker. Not a happy customer, I would give 0 stars if it let me. I do not recommend!

Car broke down (battery light came on then car died while driving down road) had towed to Ace Tire. They charged $72 to run diagnostics and test drive it 4 miles up and down road and claimed non battery light or problems while driving. Suggested it needed a fuel system cleaning for $130 and a new air filter and filter case as current one was cracked. Left with car drove less than a mile and battery light came on stopped at Orilleys auto and the alternator failed its test 3 different times. Ace said they never bothered to check electrical and just hooked it up to the $5000 diagnostic machine to look for performance issues. Demanded and got refund. Offered to give us a deal on labor if we had them replace alternator but wouldnt be able to do it until monday and it was a Friday. Paid to tow car to our regular mechanic who had no problem diagnosing and fixing it in an hour.

They totally took of my fleet trucks. The front desk and crew was great.

Dont hesitate to let Ace Tire take a peek when next your coach develops a squeak, a bump, a shimmy, a shake... or any effect a vessel may make when it sputters up or begins to break! Im a poet and didnt even know it! But I digress, this is becoming a mess! These folks are great, and their works top-rate! Ive been dealing with Ron, Jeff, Mina, Mike..all of their employees I do like! Confidently I give a grade A report. Theyll treat you well at their mechanical resort. Let them become your cars favorite haunt. Theyll surely not leave it a touch left for want!

Ace Tire & Auto Service towed my car on a Sunday, and left it at their shop until they could fix it the next day. Mitch, the guy who towed us, was very nice and polite. Rob, the guy I talked to on the phone was great too. My car was repaired before lunch the next day.I am not from around Waterville, but If I were, Ace Tire would be the repair shop I would continue to go to. Thank you.

These people couldnt even properly fasten lugnuts on my girlfriends tire. Lead to the tire falling off while she was on the road. DO NOT RISK IT. These people are dangerous.

Been going to these guys for over a year now, theyre always reasonable and they get the job done right. They even take the time to try to find the best deal they can on parts. Every time i go to these guys im reminded of why i keep coming back.

I dont expect mechanic to have an amazing customer service skills but this was the worst experience I have ever had in my entire life. The man behind the counter literally laughed in my face and mocked me. People go to a mechanic to get expert advice, if we were able to do it ourselves and they wouldnt have a job.

The best place in the area if you need a tow and to get your vehicle repaired. To the teacher that left a negative review based on an excuse your student gave on why they werent prepared for school. You are seriously leaving a negative review about a business you have never been to or had any dealing with what so ever? your basing a review on a false story you was told 3rd hand? i thought reviews are supposed to be written about actual dealing you have had with a business and NOT a story made up by a student of yours. i guess the dog ate my homework excuse works in your classroom.

I had body work done with a custom paint job. They did a great job at a good price. You cant tell where the work was done other then the great paint job.

Took my car to Ace Tire to get front brakes & rotors replaced. The labor description reads that when replacing the rotors, it includes repacking the wheel bearings. We accepted the quote. The car needed to be inspected, their results to pass required: Replacing front brake pads, rotors, back tires, side marker bulb - passenger side & alignment. We gave them the green light to pass inspection. When we went to pick up the the car, he gave me the keys & I paid them. Walked to my car, started it, before I shifted out of park, I noticed the front passenger headlight was out. I turned the car off, went back inside. explained the situation to the mechanic & he said, It was working at 3:00pm when I inspected it. Noticed that the headlight cover for the drivers side was popping out of place. When mentioned, he said that it was sealed & would be okay. Um, NO! It wasnt like that prior to their shop! Walked inside, & told the receptionist, he said, Okay, What am I supposed to do? Were getting ready to close, youll have to come back tomorrow. Scheduled for me to come back the next day. when driving home, I noticed a loud humming noise from the front. Drove to work & noticed a clunk sound when turning corners. We called the shop to give additional concerns, the receptionist had a poor attitude & said, The headlight must have blown when she left. Told him that I hadnt moved the car. Went in the next day, gave keys to the receptionist & he said he was going to have the owner look at the car. I went to sit down & heard him list off my complaints to the owner. He replied with a loud, Ive heard that one before! Then took the keys sighing loudly. He came back in 7-8 minutes later. Said, The clunking noise is right front wheel bearing. The humming noise is from strut mount starting to bind up. The front right low beam is out. My vehicle had never made those noises prior to me bringing my vehicle there. He said that complaining to him was useless & bulbs blow out all of the time, that I started my car, and it blew. Just like if I was to walk into my & flip the switch, a bulb can blow. I responded with, How is that not a coincidence that it was working when you got my car & I start my car, and its not? He proceeded to tell me that I would have to pay for it to be replaced. I should not have to pay for them to replace a bulb that was working when I left my car in their care. Especially after trusting them to do $700 worth of work! I He said that these were previous issues. When I asked him why I had never heard the noises before, & why these specific issues werent mentioned to me the previous day upon inspection, he got angry & started to raise his voice that he was allowed to pass inspection with these issues. I had never heard those issues before. I would have mentioned them the previous day. How is it that BOTH noises were an indication of things that were in fact wrong with my car, now? How are these things not noticed while on a lift, being thoroughly inspected? Why were they not mentioned the previous day while fixing everything else? Because, these issues did not exist prior to visiting Ace Tire. I told him that I trusted his shop, & they completely inconvenienced me, & created more issues. He said he would not replace my bulb & when I mentioned filing a complaint with the BBB & the state inspection legislation office, he laughed & said, Go ahead! Who are they going to believe? You cant prove nothing! Now Im without a front headlight & have to get more things fixed on my vehicle due to the tampering, or uneducated mechanics. *I have 4 kids, all in different schools, my car is my lifeline, as well as theirs. I have receipts upon receipts to show that I maintenance my vehicle regularly, and 90% of the time, when a recommendation is made, it gets fixed! ***I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS HERE!!!!***They refuse to fix an issue that happened under their care. Something as small as a bulb! That is NOT customer service!!!!

Complete ripoff. I will never willingly let them touch another vehicle of mine so long as I live. More then happy to take all your money but wont work with you at all if you need time. Instead they will repeatedly threaten to charge storage fees and file for the title on your car.

These guys are just amazing! couldnt ask for better customer service. Ive had a rough time with our car over the past month or so we were in an accident they worked with our slow as he** insurance agent to speed up the process of getting our car back. I then brought it there to get an inspection after paying for repairs I was all good except for a tire that wouldnt pass. I didnt have any cash left to get a new one so they found me a used but good one out back and gave it to me only charged to put it on.. last week my power steering return line got a whole in it. my wife had to drive to work that night and I was nervous she wouldnt be able to get there. I called them up and explained the situation to them they had me bring it in and had it fixed in just a few hours. These guys are FAST Friendly and Honest.

These crooks charged me $250 for a $130 retail mass air flow sensor they put in my subaru. These places get big part discounts so I cant say exactly what they stole from me with their mark up. Even if its only the mimimum of $120 its egregious.$832 was my bill for cleaning the catalytic converter, 4 spark plugs, a battery, and my solid gold $250 mafs!Never again. They will steal right out of your wallet while smiling at your face.
