I moved to the New Berlin area in May 2020 and a friend recommended A1 to me. I could not have been more fortunate for that recommendation. My car has been there multiple times since moving here and I continue to have excellent service. Kelly, Lance, and the rest of the team are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. My entire family uses Lutters for their vehicles. After failing several times to get back to me I decided to check out a place I had seen before but never used. When I called A-1, I was greeted by a friendly person who listened to my questions and answered them with expertise. I dropped my car off at the scheduled time, and the next morning they had already diagnosed the issues and were ready with a solution. The work they completed seems well done, and the issues I was having are resolved. The staff was really amazing through out the entire process. Without a doubt I will be a returning as long as they hold to their values.

The team at A1 simply did not rest until they found the root cause of my problem (older model Honda van). The owner called me daily with a status update and pricing was extremely reasonable. Not to mention, my dealership was unable to do the same after 2 prior attempts. I recommend EVERYONE to give A1 a chance to win your future business.

I brought our Civic in because there was a terrible noise coming from the front of the car so we feared the worst. It took them quite a while to find the cause as a rock had somehow found its way to somewhere it definitely shouldnt have been. For all their efforts there was no charge. They may not have earned any money off this visit, but theyve certainly earned our business in the future.

I brought my 05 Mitsubishi Galant in because of acceleration problems. He called me back and told me I have a very rare problem where the computer wont communicate with the engine control module. He said he couldnt do anything because he cant read the error codes because the computer wont communicate with anything. Only the dealership can. He was super honest and he definitely couldve screwed me over and charged me a few hundred bucks for something and not told me anything about the computer problems. Will definitely come back.

The Siennas oil cooler hose cracked... Luckily the wife was right by this random shop... They urged her not to drive home, which wouldve totalled the van. They ordered the part right away and had it fixed two days later. What perfect timing for a part to go, and a gem of a shop to get stranded at! They did fast, excellent work. Well definitely keep this place in mind!

This is a clean and honest shop and a great place to take your car. Lance and the guys are straight shooters and will never give you the run around. Lance only uses quality parts so expect to pay a little more there, but the quality of the work and his reasonable rates make it a repair that will last at a very reasonable price.No complaints at all and will ONLY take my car to this shop

I couldn’t say enough good things about the mechanics here. They did about 1500 in work on my Veracruz and it came back as good as new at 10 years old and 100k on it. The owner always kept me very informed and explained everything to me, you could tell he is a perfectionist in his work.My brother and sister in law have had extensive work done on both of there cars including even a new engine. Once again they did not disappoint, their cars always are done perfectly the first time and the prices are very reasonable .You can’t go wrong getting car repairs here

As a female, its difficult to find a good mechanic whos willing to be fair and honest. I saw the stellar online reviews that A-1 has though and decided I would take my chances. I wasnt disappointed. The employees were not only very friendly, but also very honest. I took my car in to A-1 for an oil change, radiator flush, and transmission flush. Lance took me in to the garage, walked me through certain functions of my vehicles engine, and explained to me all of the reasons as to why he didnt feel my vehicle needed the transmission or radiator flush and recommended that I not spend the extra money if it wasnt necessary. I was impressed, and I would recommend this place to anyone whos looking for an honest, reliable, and friendly mechanic. The shop does get busy though, so I suggest calling ahead for availability. I love this place, and the next time I need any maintenance done on my vehicle, A-1 will be the first place I call.

Wow, these guys deserve the great reviews. I went here because a franchise repair shop told me I needed new wheel bearing for both front wheels. While I was waiting in the lobby I noticed how kind and courteous the A-1 staff was with the other customers. Then, they did the work on my car for over $300 less. It was almost half the price. Afterwards, they showed my the old parts and taught me a little about my car. Thanks guys.

I normally dont write reviews, but my step-daughter went in here with a chevy malibu that needed some work done. Thought it was only a tie rod, so A-1 replaced the tie rod and gave her new front tires. Turns out after they got it on the lift that the entire k-frame was completely rotted out and the car was junk. Lance ended up letting us put the old tires back on so we could sell it for parts, and didnt charge us a cent for any labor or parts. I would go back here in a heartbeat. These people have a good reputation for a reason and they really went the extra mile. Thank you Lance and A-1 for excellent service!

Lance and the guys at A1 are honest, fair and do good work. They dont upsell you, they are willing to run you line by line through the invoice to explain what cost what and why, and they will find the most cost effective way to keep you on the road. I first visited A1 before I moved to Milwaukee. They were the only local shop to answer my call on a holiday weekend when my car broke down. They took it in on short notice over the holiday weekend and worked on it first thing on Monday. They completed the work and charged 1/3 what I was quoted for the same repair at a dealership. That car is still on the road and the repair is holding up 7 years later. If you drive past A1 youll see their entire lot is full of cars. Theyre popular for a reason: theyre good. I trust them, and thats the highest praise I can give.

I recommend this shop 100%!! Lance was so friendly and helpful. He assisted us in sorting out a mistake made by AAA (NOT the repair shop) and sped our car through the repair. He even offered to have one of his guys give my husband a ride back to the shop once the car was done! Also, he didnt try to talk us into unnecessary repairs. Honest, affordable, and friendly. I cant sing high enough praises for Lance and the crew. They went over, above, and beyond to make sure my vehicle is safe and to keep the cost down. This crew was amazing to work with and I will most definitely be going back for all of my routine maintenance

The guys here are great.Ive brought them several radiators to test and when theyre bad, they helped me locate replacements, even when the car in question was NOT common.Ive also tasked them with testing other radiator-like equipment and even though they had to come up with something custom to test it, they were able to get the job done for a reasonable price.Ive also had them replace a very tricky wheel bearing and they were very honest that it was possible that theyd wreck the part, but were able to get it done without a hitch.I dont trust many places to touch my cars, but these guys have earned my trust and continued business!

Lance and his guys are some of the nicest, most knowledgeable mechanics you will ever know. They dont over sell you on things you dont need, they play it straight and fix it right, every time! My father sent me to A1. The owner quoted me about $325. When my car was done it was only $285. I asked him why it was less, he said “it didn’t take as long as I expected”. I would have never known if he had charged me the priced he had originally quoted me. Very honest people. They do good work and they do it fast. I have been going there for years now and I tell everyone about them.

Look no further for a trusted mechanic.1st: while driving my hoopty around, praying to make it to point B, I took my car in to Lance to get an estimate on what it would take to get it to pass emissions. When i got there to pick it up, we talked for about 20min, and in the end he told me to get a new car and charged my $0 for the inspection.2nd: I got a large bolt lodged in my tire, figured itd be $200 for a new tire, instead he was able to patch it. And again, charged me $0. I dont how they stay in business with this model.3rd: he has changed my oil, brakes, and sway bar. All jobs done to perfection. Did not cost $0 but worth every penny.This man and his family run & operate the business. They do quality work because they are quality people.

First off, I love that you can schedule an appt online. My AC died on Saturday, and of course no one was open. I was able to schedule an appointment for first thing Monday morning thru their website. Lance, the owner, was thorough and was able to check my AC within a couple hours of me dropping it off. He explained to me in laymans terms what was wrong, and what he needed to do to fix it. Unfortunately my compressor was shot, but he apologized he couldnt fix it same day! I was thinking a week or more - he had it done the next afternoon. His entire staff was friendly and the price was super reasonable. I had another car with a similar problem a few years ago and paid double what Lance quoted me. We will definitely be bringing our cars here from now on, though I hope to not see them too soon!!

Spectacularly Honest Service at a Fair PriceComing from a former DIYer turned busy father who can diagnose his automotive problems, but lacks the time to get under the hood, I can say that A-1 Radiator is always honest with their diagnosis and operates with integrity. On top of that, their rates are lower than the typical competitor who wants to gouge you with sky high book-labor estimates and 2-3x markup on parts. In my 4 times coming here, its a fair win-win price.They are usually busy so call ahead, and dont hesitate to trust your vehicle with Lance and the crew.
