I moved to Wisconsin during the pandemic and hadnt had much of a chance to find out about the local companies. Then the 2010 van I had was giving me some trouble and I needed to find a local repair shop to look at it.I have to admit that I did a Google search and found D&D Automotive Repair. I am very happy that I did. Shaun was very helpful in telling me what was going on and how much it would cost. The job was done very well, when they said it would be done, and at a very reasonable price.

New to the area made it difficult to find a trustworthy autoshop. However, I brought them my truck for diagnose and to possibly fixed it. They were very nice, welcoming, affordable and the best of all.....HONEST about the issue. Unlike other auto-shops, these guys know what they are doing and go to directly to the point 👉 they seem focused on what they do NOT money hungry like in other places... I totally recommend this place 100%

David, the owner, is fantastic! He always has a smile on his face and is perfectly honest about your car and what it needs. I drove over a piece of plastic that someone dropped onto the freeway in front of me. It was dragging on the bottom of my car and there was a metal dragging sound as I drove. I quickly looked up the nearest shop. So glad this shop was right there, I pulled in and even though I had no appointment and they were busy, they hoisted my car up to see what was going on. Turns out it was a lawn sign and the metal stake pierced my exhaust perfectly. He pulled it out and suggested I drive with the small hole before doing any repairs because he didnt think it would cause any problems. He also refused my offer to pay for his time. Great customer service at this place and obviously very honest people. Ill be seeing them in the future, but hopefully not for something as strange as a pierced exhaust from garbage on the freeway.

Good place, but its changed. $900+ later and I still had the same problem. Since I sources the 2 parts, shocks, I was told theres nothing they can do for me. I asked how much to replace the one I was told is bad. The guy that replaced Steve said $500 and was dismissive. Been going to D&D for a decade.Dave (owner), I wasnt treated as if I dont matter at all previously. I appreciate you guys, but this was not a positive experience.

Radiator hose busted loose on the highway, had AAA tow the car here to replace a radiator hose. They did it first thing after the holiday weekend so I could come get it the next day after work. Great service, reasonable, and knowledgeable.

I went there when my Subaru Forester needed some serious repair work. They convinced me it wasnt wise for me to invest more money on it. They charged me for the time they spent looking at it, and I greatly appreciated their sound advice. When I purchased another car, they did an inspection and some necessary maintenance. Those are my only two dealings with them, but I was very satisfied, and felt I received good value for the money I spent. When I need service, they will be my first stop.

Took our 2007 Chevy Impala to D&D for an oil change, seasonal safety check and possible brake work. Work completed in a very timely, manner, with the brake work still under warranty. Thus, no cost to us, for parts. As always, we are very pleased with the job they did for us. We totally trust these guys and will continue to utilize their services for all of our Impala go to needs. My car is getting old, Im not knowledgeable about cars except for oil changes and checking tire pressure, and my poor 2006 Chevy HHR with 216k and ~100k on the engine had several issues - especially because my dad took care of all our cars until I moved out to Waukesha by myself. First a headlight went out. Great! I know how to change those! Well, changing it didnt work.Which turned into taking it to my dads place, where the battery died in the driveway, and that morning my Brake Fluid light came on, my check engine light had not gone off in time for emissions, and getting two new tires and an oil change had been on my to-do list for an embarrassingly long time...Well, lucky enough everything was fixed by D&D except for brakes, which were going bad and also needed to be repaired at a later date when our wallets werent so empty. I gave Dave my dads cell number so he could relay information that went way over my head. Dave also lent me one of his cars so I could make it to work for the two days I couldnt carpool. I was so incredibly grateful, you have no idea.When I met Dave to pick up the car he explained everything on the invoice carefully and in simple terms. I understood everything that was done and what was being charged and what wasnt. Now my headlight is good, my oil and tires are changed, my check engine light is off, my battery is replaced, and it came to a scary price (thats used cars for you, but my dad said our price was great and I believe him) but he did not charge me for the loaner car or emissions which was incredibly kind of him.Thank you D&D and thank you Dave!!

This was the second time I went to D&D. I would highly recommend D&D. The first time I had an entire axle break and all kinds of work needed to be done. They knew I was in an urgent need for my car. They were able to get my car fixed in less than two days. The second time I went to somebody else work on my car in an effort to “save money”. The person working on my car after “completing the problem“ decided to give up on me. I brought my car to DND and they were able to diagnose and fix what was wrong with my clutch in under an hour. Their price was more than reasonable. D&D are family owned, they are honest they are trustworthy. As a woman with a little experience, I won’t go to any other mechanic ever again!

Ive been with D&D since I got my first car and have only ever been treated as a priority. The employees are respectful and David, one of the owners, has gone out of his way to explain basic car information to me, even staying later than he should have to do so. D&D is the only garage Ill go to for as long as I live here and it will be a loss when I move.

This is the place. This is the place your dad and grandpa trust and “have gone to there entire life”. D&D automotive repair is honest, knowledgeable, and they actually listen to your needs. We were only in the area to test drive a car from a Waukesha dealership and we brought our car there on the test drive! We asked if they would do a brake inspection. Soon it was in the hoist for detailed and throughout inspection of not just the brakes, but entire car. Genuine feedback and we were even in the shop learning and seeing all their findings. We cant thank Dave, James, and the rest of the D&D team for their help. Best in class company!

D&D auto is a great auto repair shop. I brought my car in to have them look at a problem I had found with my car. They were very kind in letting me show them what I had found while the car was on the lift since I was a former mechanic and told him upfront I was looking for a quote on the car since it was not going to be an easy fix for me to do in my garage. He was very honest with me about what his thoughts were on repairing it and was very friendly and easy to work with. I really appreciate this place!

My experience with D&D Automotive was very satisfying. Steve at the desk was very courteous and helpful. He was concerned as I was, that the issue would be diagnosed quickly and me not having to spend a bunch of money trying to figure it out as it was an electrical problem. With the cars today there are all kinds of sensors, relays, computers, etc. on board. Being the truck is 13 years old, a person could spend more than what the vehicle is worth at some shops,and that was my concern. The owners son had it figured out and repaired in about 3 hours.Before calling D&D I stopped in at a shop down the road from and talked to the owner and he quoted me a minimum of $300 just to take a look at it, and probably be way more by the time he repaired it. As I have some automotive experience I did what I could as far as testing grounds, fuses, etc and told him that. He didnt seem too interested, but when I talked to Steve at D&D he actually took interest. Dave the owner showed me where the wiring was shorted under the hood after his son completed the repairs. His son found the problem quickly, did the repair for just a bit more than the other guy. Im happy I finally found a shop that I feel comfortable going to. The fact that this company has received good reviews is beyond me. Im assuming those who have experienced anything other than excellent from this company, found that D&D was not even worth their valuable time to write a review about. As for me... I have a few words Id like to share. Doing brakes is no easy task and I was willing to attempt it, had I had more time at home. Im a college student whom they must have saw an easy target. Unlike most naïve students though, I know a thing or two about cars. After receiving a quote of $1000 that included 3 brake lines, 8-12 hours of labor, and $200 of that being material I decided to take it upon myself to see how truly difficult this task was. 2.5 hours later, and $55 in materials, my father and I were able to replace two of the three with half of the experience or professional grade tools this company has for resources. Not only that... they charged me $38 for a quote, that consisted of lifting the vehicle and pulling off a tire. If I havent made myself clear enough... here it is; DONT GO TO D&D Automotive.

Very fast and friendly. Brought two vehicles in to have them quote and both jobs were more than the average quotes are according to the experts. I have been to places where they quote you how much it is before starting. By the time I get the call, I was over 300.00 for just looking at it before any work is done. I did have them work on them both so I didn’t lose out.

He offers information in a language that anyone can understand, and is incredibly candid about what needs to be done to the vehicle. Shaun is the mechanic that worked on my vehicle. He went above and beyond to diagnose what seemed like a transmission issue. He cared for the car the entire day, taking it out for drives to make sure he could pinpoint exactly what was happening. These guys are absolutely amazing, and I would recommend them for ANY automotive service!

Go Somewhere ELSE!!! Not for German cars, they replaced a wheel bearing and returned the car with a brake light problem, they noted it and instead of saying they can fix it or what to do to fix it, they just said your pads look fine here are your keys and pay THE SAME PRICE AS THE DEALERSHIP, now I have an issue that still needs to be resolved. Why would I come here if it isnt supposed to be less than the 200 an hr labor the dealer charges me. Since with the dealer I get top service. If they resolve the issue I will fix the review but until then I would avoid this shop.edit** They offered to take a look at it to see if they can resolve the issue. I ended up bring the car to a specialized place cause I didnt feel comfortable with bringing the car back to them if case they messed something else up. It turns out they didnt pump the brakes to bring the fluid back into the master cylinder which is where the sensor was and they bumped a cable off the brakes. quick fix that costed me hours of work that they should have known about, taken care of it before giving me the car or should have disclosed they dont do German cars. My review remains unchanged and will be avoiding this place for all cars in the future since giving a customer back a car that has its brake light going off is a safety issue.

I was driving my Ram truck going upnorth on 94 thru Pewaukee from Trevor, WI and the serpentine belt broke and had to pull over. I googled auto shops near me and called D&D and spoke with David. He gave me a tow truck number to call and I had it towed there. It was almost closing time for David, and 2 of his mechanics worked late just to fix my truck. They did such a fantastic job. I was so thankful for David and his team to get me back on the road so quickly. They are amazing, and very caring and sweet. I gave them a 5.

After taking my car to another repair facility resulting in no diagnosis I took my 2001 to D & D. At drop off I spoke with a knowledgeable car guy, not a receptionist, and as I was explaining the issues he was asking questions and making notes. That alone made me feel comfortable. Within a short time I received a call explaining what they found to be causing the issues, what needed to be done 1st to resolve it and then other things that needed to be taken care at some point. NO PRESSURE NO SKY IS FALLING It was my decision what I wanted them to do. The secondary items were common sense things and I trusted their judgment. Since I was without my car already, I told them to do the complete repairs instead of dragging it out over time. I am more than pleased with their work, pricing, and friendliness. I spent more than I initially wanted, but having ALL items taken care AND PEACE OF MIND knowing my car will be safe and sound is priceless to me. I couldnt ask for a better experience for car repair.

My first time using D&D was about as pleasant as car repairs can be. I wasnt pressured into fixing anything that I didnt want to have fixed at the time and they did everything they needed to get my car back up and running. The bill was very fair and they made it really easy to want to use them again for car repairs. I have another repair that I need to have done on my car, and I will be using them again.

Very helpful, told me exactly what options were from least to most expensive. Suggested we start with least invasive, most effective option to repair. Explained everything. Even ran through emissions for me.
