Never knew it was there until a recent article was posted about the owner who has been a successful musician himself. The young man that was running the store that day was super knowledgeable about everything. Music didnt go away, covid19 forced a shutdown. A rebirth of musicians and live music is back. Great place for used and new instruments and equipment. Also they have a wonderful guitar instructor (Ben Janzow) he charges a very reasonable rate. He teaches my husband songs he can actually play and also works with my autistic son in what we call music therapy. This is a must for the beginning musician or the expert musician who wants to get great deals on musical items.

Great Service in the store, but the real reason Outpost Music is amazing are the lessons. I have been taking bass lessons there for almost 2 years and I have grown a lot, both as a bassist and a musician. The teachers offer new expiriences to you, like camps and bands. They let you choose what songs you want to learn and help you become the type of musician you want to be. Outpost music changed my life.

For my birthday, I got a ukulele! So, my broth (not even have a clue how to) truer to tune it... long story short the string broke. They have great service and the strings were super cheap but good quality, and they even put it on for me!

A gem within downtown Waukesha. Great selection of guitars (acoustic and electric) and basses. Even with a focus on these, they still manage to have keyboards, bongos, amps and all sorts of stuff. Havent rented from them yet but I know they rent instruments such as violins and violas. But the real reason why they shine over White house or Cascio (aside from price and location) is their excellent repair service they offer. Anytime an instrument needs repairing I always take it to Outpost and Im always happy with their service.

Chill vibe and awesome customer service.Its mostly begginer to intermediate gear but you can finds some great gems worthy for any guitar player. Yes they do music lessons.

We went there to introduce my Niece to Ben and talk about potential guitar lessons. We looked at guitars and Ukuleles for a while, talked with the owner Craig for a while, he took the time to spend explaining differences in acoustic guitars. My niece walked out the proud owner of her first Ibanez Acoustic guitar, gig bag, and a hand full of pics! Shes had a couple lessons with Ben so far and she absolutely loves it!!!
