Unfriendly and condescending store clerk. Took out my debit card to pay, was met with a snotty “Oh, you don’t have cash?”. She then proceeded to literally give me a mini lecture on how small businesses suffer when you don’t pay cash, in the most passive-aggressive manner. Great fabric selection, will never go back.

The lady who was working when we went in was pretty rude and complained about what method we used to pay. If not for that, it would be a nice store- definitely ruined it for me though and wont be returning.

The very first time I was here there was such a welcoming warmth. I find this to be true every time I have been there. The staff is always willing to help with finding things and answering questions. I love there creativeness too.

These people know true customer service! I travel a distance to do business here because they treat customers right and there’s no better service. Selection is the greatest I’ve seen around the country. They go above and beyond to help. Thank you!!

All I can say is nothing but Great things about Mary and her employees! Any time I need help with my machine they are there! I even had an issue with my long arm and because I live near the store Mary was so kind enough to come and help me at my home with it! Now that is service above and beyond! I purchased my Janome sewing machine at Sew Smart, the staff made sure all my questions were answered and offer complimentary lessons if needed.Their service on machines is excellent and priced fairly. Mary, the owner, is wonderful to work with, she is honest and very knowledgeable, as is her staff.Keep up the good work Sew Smart!!!!!!😘

Very unpleasant, unprofessional, mean, and degrading experience. Almost as if its their goal to make you not come back!On top of that, very pricey. I got my sewing machines tension fixed. (Easy job) I wasnt provided a quote, just told the price when they were done. It was almost $80 and my sewing machine can be bought new for $88 and shipped to me in 2 days. This simple repair/adjustment took them over 2 weeks to get finished. 🤣Next time I think Ill skip the horrible experience and by a new machine.- Update -My wife took our sewing machine back in to ask for a refund due to the machine not being fixed. They refused to give a refund and took our machine back to fix it again. Saying that we could take the machine back and not have a refund or they are going to give it a second try to fix it.It probably should have been fixed the first time, especially after 2 weeks of servicing. But unfortunately they need a couple of tries to fix your machine here. This only put my business behind more than it already was after 2 weeks.The worst service I have ever had, wouldnt recommend.

VERY Unprofessional! Said my Pfaff was old, mmmm! That I needed to buy a new $$$ one...Not every customer can afford a $4500 sewing machine, I just needed my cleaned for everyday use.

Mary and her team have great customer service skills, knowledge, and all a sewist would ever need or want when it comes to sewing machines, accessories, classes, and repair. I am a returning customer and so grateful to have such a store in the community of Wausau.

I love this quilt shop. I can always count on them to help me with what ever sewing or quilting question I may have. Very friendly staff. Today I took my machine in to drop it off to be fixed. The stitches were not right.I was planning on leaving it but to my wonderful surprise they took a look at it, Mary saw the problem and fixed it right away for me. They definitely do what ever they can to make their customers happy.

I have bought 2 Janome machines from them. Service is always great and they always answer my questions. The fabric selection is top-notch. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the one on one classes are very helpful. I love this store.!

Wonderful first time experience! I called yesterday about having routine maintenance done on a machine that I am gifting for Christmas. I believe I talked to Mary and she was so helpful. I brought the machine in today the 11th of December and told them I knew I was asking for a lot at this late date. I was told they would try but made no promises. Everyone was so pleasant. I went on my way and did other shopping in town. Just a bit over an hour later I received a call that the machine was done! I was told she saw that I wanted it for a gift for Christmas and she decided to see if she could do it right away and she did! You will make a young ladies Christmas this year!
