Im lost in a hardware store and the look on my face is a complete giveaway. Customer Service isnt what it used to be. Ace Hardware is an exception....If you dont find what youre looking for, youll be glad you visited The day we went, it rained.... MISERABLE. When we left, the Sun came out. This local hardware store is my choice if I need anything for around my house or yard. It’s large enough to have whatever I need, but small enough to not get lost. I want to sing Kevin’s praises…. I took my little Earthquake cultivator in today because my blades weren’t engaging… Kevin looked at it, fixed it for me on the spot ( no charge) and explained every step of the way what had happened…all this immediately… no waiting… friendly expert service!!! I’m a nurse and I use the cultivator in the garden at our clinic to teach people about healthy eating. So thank you Kevin for such incredible service that turned my whole day around!

ACE Hardware is a fantastic place to shop for all your, well everything! I went there to have a home key made and the service was great. Wide selection of designer keys and your basics. They have a great selection of tools, shovels of every type, power tools, bathroom items, outlets, light covers, and really the skys the limit. They even hand out American Falgs your way out! Came here after spending a lot of time looking for items needed at a big box store. Ace Hardware carry common sense products, easy to locate items looking for, employees greet you as you enter, ask if you need help. In the big box store youre not appreciated, I suppose since they give 11% back and can only use it at their store is their way of retaining repeat customers.

There is an attitude at this store that I find offensive, which is too bad because they are in my neighborhood. I rarely go there because of this.

They offer good customer service but in general are antagonistic about returns. I bought a Screw out product that was awful and although they accepted the return I had to almost argue to point out that the product didnt work and was defective. They werent interested or sorry that they sold me a bad product when I tried to point it out to them. I was annoyed that I almost didnt get my money back and they failed to listen to customer feedback that could save someone else from feeling cheated in the future. Because of the general challenges Ive had with returns here, Id recommend buying elsewhere unless youre sure you need the product. They also dont accept returns from other Ace Hardware stores. My wife and I are almost positive we bought a screw driver from this store but they said they dont sell it and refused to give us store credit or accept the return even though the product was in new packaging. Ill post a picture of the packaging so you can see. I felt good about shopping here since it was close to our house but have told my wife that we should try to shop at other hardware stores if we can in the future.

The store was clean and carried a wide variety of items. The only complaint was that it was very cramped and oddly laid out. To find anything requires staff help. Parking was a little sparse, so plan accordingly or prepare to circle the lot several times.

Love love this place! Everytime I have gone here they are right there to answer my questions. They offer to help take large or heavy items to your car. The customer service here is outstanding! I have been to another Ace hardware in Brookfield and I felt as if I was inconveniencing the staff. I highly recommend going here for hardware and lawn care. They make keys, service snowblowers and lawnmowers as well.

Called to see if they had some Irwin Speedbor bits. Had to repeat what I was saying 3 times and by the third time I tried to help by breaking down what I was saying. Even though Ace Hardware is a big, national chain, the folks who work at this Ace Hardware makes me feel right at home. When I first walk in the front door, Marilyn, a kind cashier, up bear voice welcomes me in and brightened my day. Then, as I get shopping, if I have any trouble at all, bumping into Bob is the best thing: I tell him my issue and he knows numerous great ways to address and fix it at a great price with a warm smile on his face. Bumping into him makes my day. Why shop elsewhere?

I liked the true value way more, I could get any pipe fitting I needed there. Now with the new Ace I always have to go to a different true value cause the Ace did not have what I needed. I noticed the prices are way higher and the brands are not as good as the ones true value had.

Glad they are my neighborhood hardware store. We had a mix-up with my 2 stage snow blower repair. The staff, especially Tommy, were quick to explain the issue, remedy the problem, and provided me a quality, tuned up snowblower to compensate for the loss.Will definitely be back soon for a Traeger when the weather is nice.

They have totally redesigned the interior. Freshened, and modernized the product lines. I didnt have much time to explore. Maybe next time. Seems more competitive. I hope they retained the old know how, and services. I may not need to drive outside the neighborhood to the large stores. I like the changes.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff! We bought a grill last weekend and they were willing to deliver us the floor model immediately, they practically followed us home. They suggested the floor model so we can walk out with a grill that day without the hassle of assembling a new one on our own. Grill works perfectly as expected! Wauwatosa Ace has been there for as long as I can remember, and I grew up in Tosa if that tells you anything. This place is amazing!! Ive been here many times, but this is the 1st stop in 20+ years. If you need it, they have it! Not just hardware in this store. I was looking for some Rustoleum clear protective spray for a project I was finishing. The team member approached and asked if he could help. Makes my life easier and get me out of there quickly. (I have allergies and they have gardening supplies, see the problem? Anyway, he took me directly to my item, taught me the difference between spray and brush on coatings. Everyone is always friendly here. It has the ambience of the old school hardware stores your grandpa use to shop in (my grandfather, literally, has been in that store).

Several employees asked if I needed help, they were always readily available! And so helpful! Helped answer questions and gave me great suggestions tonmy DIY home improvement project way easier!

Struggled going away from my previous local Ace Hardware (Tomchek Ace) but being only a few blocks away, this is a go to for all the fixed around the house. Great service done on my lawn mower and they carry Meat Church seasoning.Kevin the manager is very much in touch with the store and will lend a helping hand to customers when needed.

This Ace Hardware stated from the supervisor eric saying that they will not warranty or exchange anything from another ace hardware store due to their policy i told him i would prob never buy at the store i got my item from because i broke down there and it was what was close at the time. I live 5 blocks from this place and spent over $1000. In this store over the last 2 months wish I never did. I have shop at other ace stores, for many years and never had this problem will never shop at this store again

I came here to have a duplicate key for my VW made. Not only did I save 60 percent compared to the dealer price, the service was outstanding and fast. The young lady that cut and programmed the key was very competent and knowledgeable.

I NEVER leave reviews - this is my very first Google review. But after my experience last night, I would feel guilty if I didnt leave one for these guys.I was looking for screws to put new license plates on my vehicle. The nuts where the rear plate was to be installed were so rusted that the required screw size did not fit.So, two people (I believe one was the owner) spent nearly an HOUR with me trying to find screws that would fit, given the rusted nuts. All while tending to other customers needs in-between trips to the parking lot.We mustve tried 6 different sizes, but we FINALLY found a size that would account for the rust and it was a perfect fit.Thank you both for your incredible patience and customer service. This will be the only hardware store I visit if I can help it, and Ill be recommending that others do the same.God bless.

For decades this store was a True Value hardware store. Now, it is an Ace hardware store. It now seems more like a Walmart store that happens to sell hardware. Most all of the services that the old hardware offered are now gone.

Very friendly and helpful staff, minus the checkout lady who was rude and awkward. The selection in product was a bit disappointing- many items were out of stock. Biggest fail- allowed a customer to walk around without a face mask during COVID mandatory mask mandate. Not cool.

Clean and willing to help

I love supporting local businesses, and I absolutely prefer supporting co-ops and privately owned franchises, but every time I enter this Ace and have to interact with the numerous old men that work in the service sections at this store, I witness just plain rudeness and a*holery to not only me, but nearly every customer they interact with. Convenience-wise, it’s close to the village and I like supporting the kids and women they employ, but knowing these guys work here makes it abhorrent to visit...and I avoid whenever possible.

Everyone in this store is so helpful. We go out of our way to take our business here because of the AMAZING service we get. I highly recommend bringing all your service needs here!
