We just drove 20+ minutes to go to this store. They are operating by appointment only, likely due to Covid-19, understandable. So we call the number to see if we can get in. There are no customers in the store and we can see the sales person as shes talking to us on the phone. She told us we didnt have an appointment and her last appointment hadnt shown up, so we would have to come back. The other appointment was 10 minutes late at this point. She told us we could wait until 15 minutes after their (no-shows) appointment ended or make an appointment for another time. I honestly cannot understand why you would turn away people ready to spend money in your store while you look at them through the window, alone with no customers. Zero trust for any customer service that would come from this store. We will not be back.

What a delight! I needed two beside lamps and called to make an appointment (COVID-times shopping). They suggested taking some pictures of where the lamps would go to gauge color and sizing. (Great suggestion) Shopping was easy. We looked at lots of options. Its a small store but they have tons of different lighting. As some have noted the prices on the lamps are high, but the actual retail you pay is much, much less. Were they a bargain? No, but I feel comfortable paying for the quality of service and product that I received. A missing part was promptly ordered and pick-up was a breeze. I will highly recommend Elektra to everyone looking for quality lighting.

My husband and I are building our first home and found such ease with the team at Elektra Lights. We worked personally with Becky who was just incredible! I was amazed at their willingness to go above and beyond for us through out the whole meeting to insure we loved everything we had. They do extremely well of coordinating everything together and put a lot of effort into making sure its everything we want! I am so happy with our experience and the endless amount of options we had! I will recommend them over and over again!

Elektra Lighting & Fans is the BEST! They need a new rating system with at least 10 stars for places like this. I was in the need for some lighting for our new house build in a time crunch, the electrician was coming to install in less than 12 hours- From the moment I walked through the door I was super impressed. The employees were very knowledgeable about lighting, but what impressed me even more was their customer service! They truly care. There was a fixture that I was interested in, it was hanging in the store- the teamwork of them taking it down and wrapping it all perfectly, getting a big box with a rod to hang it off-- I was shocked! I was able to take it with me that day--- the electrician hung it up, and it is perfect! I wish I had known about Elektra much earlier in my house build process-- I would have gone there for EVERYTHING!! The customer service far surpassed any other place I encountered for lighting! If you have any lighting needs, do yourself a favor and go to Elektra first! Thanks to everyone at Elektra!

When we walked in we thought, nope we are in the wrong place for us. Then we spoke with Kelly. She was wonderful and was able to lead us in a great direction to pick lights that my husband and I could agree on and were within our budget. Would recommend them for all your lighting needs. No pressure sales.

Great selection of lamps for a small store with an abundance of other items available by catalogue. Fair warning: this place does not have a generous return policy and makes every effort not to work with the customer when returns or exchanges need to be made. They need to negotiate better with their vendors to allow them the ability to address a customers needs. This place doesnt bother. In a world where big retailers and online stores are offering the same products at a lower cost along with generous return policies, I cannot see how this store will stay in business much longer. The owner Linda has the worst attitude. I would go to either BBC lighting or City Lights and Fans before I will ever shop here again. To compete, small businesses must offer superior knowledge. Elektra doesnt know the products they sell and gave me incorrect advice on maintaining my chandelier. Small retailers must offer superior customer service. Thanks to Linda this isnt the case. Small retailers must compete with return policies offered by other online and large retailers. A big failure in that department. So why go to Elektra? Cant think of a reason why.

I am the owner of a top 25 sized builder in the Milwaukee area. I can tell you that not only do i have personal experience, but the experience of dozens of clients that Ive sent to Elektra for lighting fixtures. They have a very eye pleasing, yet modest sized, show room. The staff is knowledgeable and holds the hands of each of the customers i send there. I recommend everyone who asks to consider Elektra Lights & Fans for their lighting purchases.If i could also add that those of us in the home building profession cannot purchase from big box stores despite their generous return policy. There is no comparison to the product quality DELIVERED TO THE SITE. Big box store fixtures have a high rate of broken or missing items that i do not have from buying from a professional store. Considering that electricians make >$100/hr it doesnt take many broken fixtures to cost me a fortune to use products from a bix box store. Nice to work with Elektra.
