Absolutely LOVED this place!! I was able to get a gluten free turkey, brie, apple and honey Panini!! SO GOOD! The service was great everyone was so friendly. All our coffees were perfect as well, my daughter even had to order a second iced lavender latte be I drank half of hers!! We will definitely return when we are back in town. This place checked every single box!

We tried the French press with medium roast and it was so good . We didn’t feel the need of sugar or milk and drank the whole jaar, it was that good . Well I am not sure if we use or not use milk and sugar for French coffee. But it was delicious just without both . Then we tried spinach puff and blueberry muffin and chocolate pastry . All were great specially the spinach puff .

I took an internship a few months ago near by and so I frequently go in to study, read, and get some coffee or tea. One of the baristas makes a killer Chai! She also gives excellent recommendations if I want to try something new. The food is divine and Im never unhappy when I leave. The staff is always so friendly and are attentive even when its pretty busy. They have a great open mic as well on Fridays! Love this place, definitely recommend giving it a visit.

The coffee was excellent-got a pumpkin latte. The staff came across as slightly rude, especially over my asthmatic cough. She also seemed impatient after being courteous to the group before me and was cooing over their baby which made the wait even longer. It came across as she was more concerned about her friends than ensuring that a first time customer was welcome. I guess I find another coffee shop.

A cozy corner of Waynesboro with a friendly, lovely staff! One of the rare few coffee places that truly has a relaxing atmosphere and cozy areas to unwind and study. A great selection of drinks and pastries as well.

I was visiting for a interview the area and was told to try this coffee shop. The lady made me an incredible cold Oatmeal coffee latte. Yes, I spent more then I usually do but it was well worth it. Plus the inside is much bigger inside then you think it is from the outside and very quaint.

Only ever ordered coffee from here but happy to see locally owned ships popping up. Coffee was better than any other options. Always open, even on snow days for all you Starbucks people.

This place was absolutely phenomenal. The baristas were amazingly friendly and patient with me and my friend, who were completely new to the area, and they also make the best tasting coffee Ive had in years.Starbucks doesnt hold an unlit match to this place.

Staff was awesome! Ordered an iced coffee and a bulletproof and even with a line of customers, the staff was friendly and treated everyone like their order was the most important of the day. Truly, this place is a gem and the coffee was awesome!

This place is a hidden gem! The community is soo lucky to have such a wonderful coffee house in their back yard. Actually THE RIVER is where I dined. Its great food, atmosphere is laid back & comfy. Little bit pricey but so worth it. Cautious of the spicy ranch its VERY SPICEY mixed with regular ranch tones it down. Parking can be found up the street or after 5pm in large parking lot 1 block away.

Ordered a latte, waitress asked me to try it to make sure I liked it. I commented a little sweet, but I like it! - waitress would not let me finish it and insisted they redo it. I insisted it was fine (Im not picky at all), but eventually they convinced me to let them redo the drink. New one was perfect. 100% best service ever!

I wish the customer service was as good as their coffee. Super disconnected & curt... unexpected from a little local cafe.

Amazing little cafe with a lot of charm and some of the friendliest staff in the industry. I got a hot mocha which was AMAZING and served with a thoughtful message in the foam. Seriously that mocha was delicious, made with Ghirardelli chocolate. Highly recommend this place!

Very understaffed! We ordered three sandwiches and three drinks. We waited 35 minutes and received two sandwiches and our drinks. 45 minutes later we received the third sandwich which wasnt the right sandwich. The batista was very rude! We had to ask for napkins and was given an attitude because we didnt want to bother her by getting them ourselves. The food and drinks were delicious! Get better help!

Two separate things make me give this place a one star. I will start by asking how do you expect to have a successful establishment if you dont have good customer service? I am a Doordasher so I havent tried the coffee or food but even if its the best in the world it doesnt make up for the fact that no one will acknowledge you when you walk in, you wait forever to get seen and then they take their sweet time to get the order done. By sweet time I mean they disregard that I have an order that im picking up and they continue doing something irrelevant like unfolding napkins. My second problem with this is that my friend told me that exact thing. He walked in alone one day, and the lady was just sitting there doing whatever she was doing and didnt look up, didnt say one moment please, didnt acknowledge him at all. So he had to walked out. Again I ask the question, how can you run a successful establishment with horrible service? 0 STARS.

Amazing customer service.

This was my first time to use French Press. I have cooked a Thanksgiving meal for 15 to 25 people for over 30 years. I was rather nervous about “outsourcing“ the food, especially when I had no prior relationship with the establishment. I have to tell you it was amazing! Mandy had to hold a “nervous Nellie“ hand a few times, and I so appreciated it!Our menu consisted of turkey wrapped with stuffing bread, ham biscuits on Hawaiian bread, apple and brie crostini’s, Brussel sprouts with great ingredients (I can’t you at this moment but it was delicious), pumpkin/pecan/sweet potato assorted tarts, and caramel apple brioche. Everyone commented on how wonderful the food was! I will definitely use French press again for any catering needs. Thank you Mandy and Staff!

This place reminds us all to slow down and connect with people over good quality snacks and beverages. Kia (sry for misspelling!) and regulars are all such wonderful people!! Thanks for doing what you do. Paying it forward today.

I love the coffee. I’ve been many times, but I was whispering to a friend and was using curse words quietly and was asked not to use that language, even though I was quiet and with a friend in the corner where no one could hear. I don’t recommend staying in the building if you have colorful vocabulary, but they have amazing coffee and tea. Just grab and go if you you want to drop some Fs. I’ve been multiple times, but I guess this is a place to mind your Ps and Qs. 🥰

The woman working the counter was rude and unprofessional. Our business seemed to be an inconvenience to her. Its a shame because we live nearby. We wont be back.

I was in town dog sitting for family and decided to try a different coffee shop each day. My last day in town I visited The French Press. Very nice interior. On street parking was easy. Had I just entered one minute earlier, my wait would not have been so long. The customer that entered right in front of me had a large order and with just one barista working it took a while to fill. She was definitely doing her best to fill the order quickly, and apologized for the wait. Once I was able to place my order, the barista was very friendly and helpful. I couldnt decide between two flavored syrups for my iced coffee, so she prepared my drink with one of the flavors and then poured the other syrup into a cup for me to try later. What a nice gesture. I almost gave a 4 star rating due to the long wait, but this extra effort on the part of the barista kept it a 5 star review.

Such a cute coffee shop with its decor and vibe. Staff can be a bit unprofessional at times with choice of conversation topics with a line of customers and should work on attentiveness. Based on other reviews, that should be worked on here and it would improve ratings.

I found the sandwich to be super. The suggestions of Kia are on point. She fixed me a one shot and it was so light I never knew I was drinking coffee. Great place to hang out and enjoy some peace and the benefit of a space to chill. Will be making a return trip for sure

I recently enjoyed a quiet afternoon at The French Press, a hidden gem in downtown Waynesboro. The regular coffee was great, with choices of light, medium and dark roasts, decently priced. A large number of specialty coffee and tea drinks were available as well. There was also a good selection of pastries and muffins to choose from in displays at the front counter. The barista was pleasant and professional despite working alone that day.

Awesome little coffee house! We went for open mic night and had a blast. The small, supportive crowd made the night a lot of fun. Lots of variety including a flute, soloists, a duo, guitars, and more. Cant say enough good things about this gem. Good drinks and food too!

A great option for espresso based drinks and pastries. The coffee was decent but cappuccino was perfect. Opt for the cinnamon buns when available, you’ll be happy you did. The atmosphere was really cool as well - it’s a rustic and quiet place to get some work done or have a good conversation.

We love coming in and seeing Mandi’s smiling face! The atmosphere is great! We could spend hours just sitting around chatting. The food is delicious too! Everything is simple yet decadent at the same time! Which brings me to the drinks...they’re amazing! I personally like their iced coffees and lattés; but you also can’t go wrong with one of their fresh squeezed, iced vanilla lemonades! The French Press is one of go-to places in downtown!

Omg this place is so adorable! I love all the aesthetics that give it that small town, downtown feel. Service was spectacular, the coffee was great, and I cant wait to try the other flavors!

I won’t be back. First time visiting... wish the customer service was as good as the coffee. We were rushed along when ordering, and she spoke to us in a curt and condescending manner. Stopping for a coffee after church with out-of-town guests should be pleasant and joyful, but the girl running counter at The French Press was NOT having that... no joy here.

Coffee is good. Atmosphere is great. Attention to detail of an order could be improved. We were excited to see waffles on a picture of a menu, but sad to see they were only available on Sat/Sun for brunch.

We are very fortunate to have a wonderful coffee house, casual meeting place downtown. The atmosphere, coffee, and staff are very welcoming.Most customers sit down to enjoy company or solve the problem of the day. Thumbs up!

The quality of the product vs the quality of the service was on complete opposite ends of the spectrum durning my 8/24/2018 evening visit but this is otherwise probably a very charming little coffee shop. Definitely a place I’d look forward to coming back to had the poor girl behind the counter not made it seem as if it were incredibly painful and disruptive to interact with her customers. Based on that alone I don’t think I’ll be back.

I wish I could like this place more. The coffee and atmosphere are excellent. But the staff I’ve encountered have always been extremely apathetic and unpleasant. I don’t want to go to a coffee shop and pay someone (with a tip even though you make more than minimum wage) for lousy service. Won’t be going back.

Ive tried the homemade lemonade, a latte, hot apple cider, the spinich and cheese quiche, and multiple lovely deserts over multiple visits. The food and drinks have always been spectacular! I also love the decor and I am excited to try the many hot tea options.
