I picked this place based on some pretty helpful reviews and glad I went here to have my muffler checked. I did not need an appointment, Bob took my car for a quick drive, and diagnosed the problem for free. He explained it, gave me 2 options to address it, and after deciding had my car done so fast I simply waited inside. It was a smooth transaction from start to finish. I will recommend this place to everyone!

First off, I should start by saying that I HATE bringing my car in. I never know what needs to be done, and feel like Im being taken advantage of/up-charged. I walked in without appointment to have a hole in my exhaust fixed. They came up with a custom solution to fix it cheap without replacing the whole catalytic converter. They had me in and out in an hour for a very reasonable price. A+++ business!

The owner of this shop is terrific! He has incredibly great prices, a wonderful staff and most of all Honest! He once assisted me, by diagnosing my car (free) and explaining to me that all I had to do was remove one screw to replace a sensor! Now as I’m not mechanical in any way, he was able to convince me how easy it was by showing me where the sensor was, the screw and that I shouldn’t let the new sensor get touched by the oils on my skin or dirt! He also informed me that he had no problem to fix it if I couldn’t! I had found out, that Honda wanted over $ $200 for just the sensor and with labor it would have been around $375-400. Other shops ranged between $295.00-$450.00. The wonderful owner told me that if I got the sensor he would put it in for around $60.00! So I found out where to get the best sensor for the best price and found it for 49.00. And yes, I actually installed it myself! In these times, where people aren’t so honest and mostly only care about their bottom line. It was a very pleasant surprise to know they’re are still people with morals and care for more than just themselves! I felt it important to write this review as I could help others save money and relax knowing they have a very knowledgeable,friendly, honest mechanic! I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else now nor will my father and most of our friends! Thank you!

I took my 2007 Sonata here for a quick exhaust leak fix. The flange bolts between the mid-pipe and catalytic converter rusted out and separated. They were very friendly, fixed it quickly, and their prices are amazing. Very honest shop, which is a rare find these days. Highly recommended.

Very nice owner, was quick with the work. They run on first come first serve basis so show up early. Went there to replace my roasted catalytic converter. He was done within 45 mins of me arriving. He was very patient with me as I was waiting to hear back from my mechanic friend on whether or not it was a fair price. Great experience overall.

I arrived during a snowstorm during my trip to milwaukee wanting my exhaust fixed. They fixed my Volkswagen Golf’s broken flex pipe, along with welding on a new resonator. They had it all done by noon, my car was so quiet! All for about $275 for this QUALITY repair. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Could not be more thankful for Scott! We took our car to the local Nissan dealership and were informed that we needed close to $2000 of work done on our 2011. We gave Scott a call to get a second quote and brought the car in so he could take a look. He did a thorough evaluation and completely debunked what the dealership had said. We were told we needed to replace our catalytic converter due to a crack which Scott was baffled by because there was nothing wrong with it at all (saved $1200 with that assessment). Next, we were quoted $800 for muffler work that needed to be done. Scott was able to do it for about $50!!! We walked away paying a FRACTION of the price from the original estimate. The car is driving beautifully and not making a peep. Turnaround time was also great. I highly recommend Mufflers Plus and will absolutely be coming back.

Honest guys. I stopped by for exhaust work (broken), Scott repaired it after explaining to me all options i had. Didnt try to sell me a replacement (which would be costly), and he explained to me the exhaust pipe and muffler have enough life left to it. I chose the repair. Fix looks solid. Thank you Scott.

If I could give this shop and those guys no star rating I would. The guy at the front desk seemed to be shocked at my coming in to begin with, but I looked past that. I told him that my front end was making a noise while slowing down coming to a stop and could he check it out for me. When he came back from checking it he told me about everything except what I asked him to check. Then after telling me about exhaust things, I had to ask him what about what I came in for you to check? Then he lied to my face and said that my tires were not all the same type and tread and thats why it makes a noise. When I seen that he had not checked for what I asked, because I knew for a fact that they were all the same tires and tread. I let him bring it out and showed him that they were the same tires all around and then, he still was trying to sell me on the idea of getting the other work done without apologizing about being wrong. Instead he blamed it on a coworker which shows no integrity. I recommend that you dont go there for an inspection, because its obvious that they may only really no about exhaust things and thats it.

Great service. Scott, the owner, was very friendly. I got a quote from Midas on 76th and Layton, and they told me a price twice as high to do my brakes, oil, and replace my tie rod end. He also hunted down the coils for my rear suspension and did those way cheaper than Midas quoted. Thats all including labor. This place is where Ill take my car until Im given a good reason not to. I Recommend Mufflers Plus to anyone in need of services offered there.

Was kind of brash on the phone and in person. Gave me a single option and was quoted $1060 (just parts and a single hour of labor) for a muffler/cat repair on my car. I looked up the same exact parts quoted and they can be bought for $360 after a coupon. what a JOKE! I figured there would be some markup, but all parts had 2-3x markup, crazy! Just as bad as a dealership just without the car salesman... RUN!

Dont trust the people here. I came here for a simple 80$ job and they charged me 500$ for things they say i needed. I stated before I couldnt afford all that. I came back the next day and couldnt get car unless paid 500$. Plus the work they did wasnt what i needed done, they told me my ball joints needed fixing, when it was my control arms. Always ask to sign before work is done and also get atleast 2 mechanics opinions.

By way of reviews shared I choose to take my vehicle to Mufflers Plus. Upon my arrival it seemed awkward and I briefly explained my reason for coming in. Representative said it would be four hours before getting my vehicle in which was fine. I was told to start the repair would be more than $1,200. I went to next google recommendation and repairs were $600 total.

This place is awesome!!!! i finally found a mechanic shop that doesnt try to rape u for your cash.. trustworthy and honest mechanics that explain every little detail about what is wrong with your car..Scott and Bob are good at what they do and give you an honest price.I took my dodge dakota in to another shop and the oxygen sensor needed to be replaced. they charged me $66 to do a diagnostics test which they told me was a free estimate and wanted to charge me over $200 and they said that they didnt know if that was the exact problem and said they might have to change the crank shaft sensor for another $150.took it to mufflers plus and bob changed out my oxygen sensor for $85 bucks. saved me a ton of $$$$. truck runs smooth..dont need a 2nd opinion with mufflers plus.

2/17/17... Awesome experience save me $328.15...on my work truck...99 explorer..... Very friendly and knowledgeable and having no problem answering question.... The owner Steve is a man that takes pride in his business..... He quoted me a great price....part was not in the shop... he said about 45 minutes so I was going to come back tomorrow.... and pay for it today.... but hes not all about the money.... he said you dont have to pay today.... So I asked him its going to take 45 minutes to get the part here....Steve said no.... the job would be done about 45 minutes.... wow....well then do the work I say....steve himself went to pick up the part.... And who is the owner.... When he had other guys there...awesome.... It was exactly right 45 minutes....and I was out of there... this is my first time here... so I dont know if he does this on a regular basis....but he had doublecheck the work his team has done....he wasnt happy with something.... And he corrected it himself... It was probably a dirty bolt... LOL.... that says a lot about the guy..... Very satisfied and also my truck... LOL.. Exhaust system very tight and quiet...
