I cant remember the name of the General Manager here, but he was incredible. I had an issue with an order from another state and he took care of everything!
I highly recommend Dr,Johnston and eyewear consultant Rebecca. Everyone in the office is nice and courteous.they take their time to make you feel comfortable and are great at their jobs!
I would have given this place five stars in the past since my family has been visiting this facility when it was Chester County Opticians. The two stellar individuals at this location who are from the previous business are the only reason my family continues to come here year after year (Dr. Daniel Johnston who is fantastic and Betsy who assists with the check-out is phenomenal). I would have continued to give the place five stars, however, the one of the staff members needs attention. The other check-out person Rebecca is absolutely deplorable. She has the worst customer service, has a chip the size of a crater on her shoulder and has a condescending and loud demeanor. My family and I have had one bad experience after the other time and time again with this individual over the past couple of years. It is time the management of the place takes a good hard look at the customer service aspect of the location and either send Rebecca to customer sensitivity training or have her find another profession that does not require interacting politely with humans.
I actually had to give this place one star in order to write a review, otherwise I wouldn’t give it any stars. This place is so confused as to who is who as far as patients go. They mix patients charts up. And in the end they couldn’t figure out my correct name even after I told them and they had me mixed up with another patient with a different appointment! I ended up going to another eye doctors office, who seems a lot more organized.Unless you want a seeing eye dog or a cane, don’t go to this place.
The centralized appointment booking center is not that great IMHO, but this local office has served me and my family well since we moved to west chester in 2009. They accept VBA and VSP eye care insurance plans. Ive found the exams to be thorough and can always find decent frames for eye glasses (not a contact wearer here, but my daughter has gotten prescriptions for contacts here before). The shopping center they are in has plenty of parking, plus the added benefit of an acme, wine and spirits shop, staples, pet supplies plus and a few other stores so you can combo your trip to get some other errands done too.
My glasses are broken and when I called to ask if they would extend my prescription, they said they would not, even in light of the current pandemic. I explained that I am not comfortable coming in for an exam and sitting inches from someone in a confined space for a long time. They said that is the only option (aside from repairing my glasses, which are beyond repair). When I called Walmart Optical to see if they could help, they informed my that my prescription was still valid and that they would be happy to order new glasses for me. If the staff at MyEyeDr had checked, maybe they would have been able to help me, but they did not. Dr. Daniel Johnston is great, but he should go start his own practice and surround himself with people who understand customer service.
Would not allow me to show up in between appointments (it’s COVID understandably) to adjust my glasses that are falling off my face. Called another location and they said they could do it but they are further away and close earlier. I spoke to Cheryl/Sheryl on the phone twice and she just was not accommodative.
This office has the friendliest office staff and competent Doctors. I have been a patient here for over 15 years and have had a negative experience.
Simply put -- I am a happy customer of MyEyeDr in West Goshen and I would recommend them to both family & friends.
