We had a new propane tank installed underground at our home recently. All around great team and outstanding service. These guys work with you all the way from start to finish to make sure you are set up in the best way possible. Communication was superb every step of the way.

We have used Sheller since 2015. We installed Propane tanks at that time and they have been responsible for propane delivery for the past 6 years. Their online system for paying/ordering fuel is easy and convenient. They always arrive within a day or so of a fuel request. More importantly, they always respond immediately so you know they have received the order. We will continue to be loyal customers because of their wonderful customer service. Steve is the best! I cant compliment them enough.

We were basically forced to use Sheller when we moved in 11 years ago and it has always been a hassle. Last week with the flooding takes the cake though. You pay a rental fee every year for what?!…the tank almost floated away and the only thing that kept that from happening was the line attached to the house. Propane was leaking and I could not get the knob to turn, thankful for my fire department. I called immediately for a technician to come out, only to have him state that the tank should have been replaced a few years ago. What’s that yearly tank rental fee for?! ? The knob to turn the gas off was extremely difficult to move, obviously a serious hazard when propane is leaking and then to not secure the tank in a flood plain. I’m a bit confused by that and also the fee of $200+ for replacement of their tank they failed to secure. I loved how when I said that, I was told, “well, they weigh 200lbs.” Someone doesn’t understand buoyancy. I guess I should have just let it float away, huh? Needless to say, we terminated service immediately and they didn’t hesitate one minute in removal of it.

Our oil burning furnace stopped working this morning. Around 8:30 I called for a technician, he showed up between 9:15 and 9:30, and had us up and running again by 10:00.Anytime I’ve had to have Sheller out for service, the technicians have been knowledgeable, efficient and they explain what they’re doing and what they’ll do to fix the job.I’ve had to call them for routine maintenance and on 3 degree days and every time they’ve been helpful, pleasant and knew exactly what to do to get us warm again.I’d recommend them to anyone looking for work on their furnace.

We have a contract with Sheller that entitles us to an annual furnace inspection. The technician, Rich, came out and did a thorough job. Very professional. Explained everything he was doing. Replaced a pipe because he didnt like the way the end looked. He cleaned up everything. I only wish all my experiences with service personnel was this good.

It’s rare when you can say every single person from a company is great. But this has been my experience with Sheller. They are knowledgeable, polite, pleasant, and will answer your questions cheerfully. This includes the office folks, repair technicians and technicians who maintain the heater.Generally, you don’t see the oil delivery man but once, after a big snow, when the side of my house was almost impassible, he figured a way to get to the back and deliver my oil.I’m so glad I found them when we moved here 12 years ago,Honestly they should be named Stellar Sheller Oil !!

Ever since I moved to Chester County I’ve used Sheller Oil. That’s 16 years!All the 5 star reviews are right. I can always count on them. My boiler is getting a little, ok a lot, old so I’ve seen Sheller services folks several times in the last few years.Everyone is professional, pleasant, knows their stuff, really I could go on but just think of whatever you’d like in a service person. Just had my propane tanks set up yesterday (8/3) and they came out in the storms heavy rain today (8/4) to fill my tanks to insure I had fuel if we lose power. Many thanks to Steve, Mike, and Glenn ( all involved from start to finish ).

Weve been dealing with Sheller Oil for 2 years, since we purchased our home. They deliver our oil on an automatic basis. Weve had them out three times now to service our oil boiler. They keep everything running great. The people in the office are always pleasant and helpful, too. It is truly a pleasure to do business with them!

We have had a great experience with Sheller. Everyone who has come out for service calls and everyone we have spoken to in the office has been very friendly and helpful.

We used Sheller to replace an oil powered hot water heater. Our hot water heater had died and Sheller was very quick to come replace it. Less than a year later we noticed the release valve was leaking. We called Sheller because it was under warranty. A tech came and replaced the valve but it was still kept leaking. We called again. No response. They tried to bill us which we disputed. We also noticed that the there was a lot of corrosion around the cold water pipe which could indicate a leak from a bad installation. We called a different plumber this time. This plumber said the fitting needed to be replaced and it was not connected properly and had a small leak. He also replaced the leaking release value and noticed that heat expansion pipe was on the the wrong pipe. He had correct that as well. So after spending $2600 to replace a hot water heater with Sheller, we then had to spend another $400 to have another plumber fix all their mistakes. I DO NOT recommend Sheller for anything particularly hot water heater installation.

Excellent furnace service. Our very experienced technician arrived a few minutes early. It has been 3 years since my last service (my fault) and a couple of the fittings had frozen in place. The technician persisted and after a lot of effort, got them to loosen. Very friendly professional service---highly recommended.

I called Sheller oil & propane and asked if they work on mobile home furnace. They asked me if i had an account with them and I said no. So they recommened me to another company. They said they only work on their customers who have an account with them. I was calling to see if i can become a new costumer and they blew me off. Beware if u dont have an account with them they wont deal with you. You dont deserve not even 1star.

Weve used Sheller for years for our oil delivery. Theyre reliable and friendly. When there has been an issue (no whistle, line needs cleared) they check to see how low I am on oil, promptly dispatch the proper person to do the job, and return quicker than I expected to finish the refill.

It doesnt get any better than Sheller for your home comfort needs. We have purchased oil, propane, had our oil furnace tuned up and recently had a 500 gallon propane tank put in the ground, all via Sheller. Steve F. and his team are true professionals that only stop when the customer is completely satisfied. We had another HVAC company install our new propane furnace and they said man, those Sheller guys always hustle. I couldnt agree more. Fast and quality service time after time. Well done Sheller!

The pressure relief valve on my boiler started leaking, so I called Sheller Oils service dept. to request a service tech. The technician, Glenn, arrived in less than an hour, and he completed the repair in less than 30 minutes from his arrival. I cant ask for better service than that.I have been a Sheller Oil customer for 33 years and the service and response time have always been fantastic.

Horrible customer service. Wouldn’t refill my RV tank because he didn’t want to bend down to do refill it, total waste of time. Droves 8 miles to Suburban propane and they filled it up no problem. Thanks Suburban Propane, I’ll go to you guys from now on.

Sheller has been our oil provider for the past four years and I couldn’t be happier with their service. They always fill up our oil on time so I never have to follow up with them like I have with our past provider. They are also very good about checking for our dogs before they come in our fenced in yard. We have two big rotties who are love bugs but they can be protective if someone comes on their turf that they have never met. Their diligence in this matter is much appreciated. The best part is Sheller is a local business which is awesome!Sheller - You run a great business and we are happy to support you.

Pricing is unreasonable. Charged $75 diagnostic charge when you could see the hole in my expansion tank leaking water!! Shop around for a reasonably priced company who doesnt charge $600 to replace a leaky expansion tank. Very disappointed!!!

Meanen oil charged me twice a year to switch from air conditioning to heat and back and for 2 thermostats at 3 times retail for years. Sheller service men said it was improper wiring and fixed it first time out. Love sheller oil

Sheller worked very hard to create our account & get a delivery out to us ASAP when we first moved in because we were concerned our tank was near empty. I was panicked but the delivery team talked us through both the oil heating system (new to us) and how to fix the meter since it was only stuck. Would highly recommend!

I have had nothing but good service from this company. From oil delivery to maintenance on my heater and AC unit, theyre always great. The other day, they called me to let me know a technician was in the area, since I had expressed interest in getting an AC tune up earlier in the spring, when the weather wasnt good enough yet to schedule it. Luckily, I was home, and he came that same afternoon. He did a great job on the tune up, changed the filter, cleaned the exterior unit, was careful not to track dirt in the house. Just an all around good experience. SO glad I switched from Meenan (awful) a couple years ago. This place is the best.

Sheller Oil is an absolutely superb company. I just moved to Malvern and needed my propane tank filled. They were there the next day as promised. Best pricing in the area, no extra fees, and very simple and straight-forward billing. A week later I scheduled a tune-up for my HVAC system without realizing that the previous owner had it serviced before leaving. The technician discovered this, told my wife, and had the work order cancelled with no charge!!! Blew my mind. Incredible integrity and honesty, which is hard to come by these days.
