I stopped here to pick up a few things and I was very pleased with the cashier. She was very personable.

Ive only been to this location a handful of times and it seems like every time I end up buying something expired. This last time I bought frozen chicken and when I got home I realized it expired in May 2021. The time before I ended up with expired peanut butter. Do not go to this location.

I don’t ever write reviews but I have to say something. The smell when you walk into the store was awful. It smelled like cat pee to be honest. I took one look at the gunk and dirt on the shelves where the chicken was and left the store. I wouldn’t want to eat anything that came from there because if that is how they clean the places of the store that you CAN see, what do the places look like that you CANT see? I’m sure there are a lot of nice folks who work there and I’m sorry to give a bad review but the store needs to be cleaned up for sure!

I only go here when Im in a rush. I grew up near an Acme and I used to go weekly. But since I think Im smarter now, I know their prices are too high.

I have personal issues regarding sapphire. I had no option but to go through her checkout as I burned myself and needed bandages and was getting alcohol at the same store for convenience and her lane was the only one open. However, she felt necessary to get another employee to watch over the transaction which is fine- however, her using the words “I’ll explain why I need you here in a little” was not fine. It’s been discussed that she’s unable to bring up the incident with other employees but she chose to do so. I was already uncomfortable enough going through her check out and she made it worse by vocalizing our mutual unliking towards one another. Your employees should know how to separate personal lives from professional lives and if they can’t they should not have the opportunity to work and make others who can uncomfortable

Staff is always wonderful and tend to know you. Deals are great, store is nice and clean.

Clean store but the layout seems a little odd to me. Beer and wine section is large and the frozen section cuts the aisles in half. Relatively clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Carpet cleaners are cheaper than Giant, and their meat sales are unmatched.

I like Acme. They have the freshest products. Today I realized that I worked with one of the cashiers there 45 years ago.

The store is good, except for one area, the deli/meat section. There is one man who wears black and acts like he can’t hear you. I have walked in front of him asking for assistance and he continues to ignore me and others as well. I thought he was deaf until I asked another employee and I mentioned that there are more food stores that are more willing to assist with any help then ACME. So my advice, go to another store, you will actually get someone that actually cares. Especially in the meat and deli section.

The young man who often works the seafood is such a wonderful saint. However, the young blonde sapphire who works the self check out is terrible. The other night I was there and some man needed help and after requesting help on the walkie talkie she said to herself loud enough for me people to hear “this guy is so annoying” about the shopper!! I’m confused how your job is to help shoppers and how you can be so rude about doing your job! Distasteful for the store.

Yo, you need to clean it up in there.The smell of rotted blood, meat and seafood smacks you in the face the second you walk in.I had to turn the cart around and avoid the area all together because the stench was bringing me to have to vomit. Its reeks like an inner city butcher shop on a hot summer day who is never up to code.I will be going to Giant from now on. This is happening way too often and I would not trust the meat here to be safe.

Love the people working there. The help from them is great.The store has everything you need or want and the convenience of getting in and out is within reasonable time.

The one in West Chester, Pa. Is dirty, old, needs cleaning and freshening up. Produce old, hardly could find fresh . Wrinkled up peppers, mushy potatoes, wrinkled up mangos with black spots. Left without purchasing everything needed, went to giant to finish shopping. Acme in wilmington was beautiful, clean, bright, fresh produce, huge abundance of produce. Just passing thru so thats why I decided to go to the West Chester when needing to shop. Huge disappointment. Huge differences in stores.

My wife & I stopped by ACME later in the evening as its much easier to either get in & get out or to take a slower pace & have a conversation while looking at alternative products &/or brands. We both have health issues to consider besides getting older, so we try to set some specific parameters for what were looking for in new foods in particular. Although ACME tends to be higher in price on most of the items we are currently buying at our local Super Walmart, we still find some values & a different selection of items allowing us to try new things!This store is always clean & the employees ha e always been courteous & very helpful. It is close to my wifes job, so when I take her to work a few days a week, its convenient to do our slow exploration!

I’m am unsure why my review made over a month ago about a terrible worker by the name of Sapphire was never posted nor responded too. It’s almost like you don’t take reviews seriously. Which makes all of the sense as to why that terrible employee acts the way she does- which is miserable looking, gossipy about patrons, and always on her phone- which in the midst of a pandemic is absolutely disgusting.

Good customer service when you need it. For me it is mostly a convenient location. They have fair prices and most of what I need.

Wow! Finally they are cleaning up the Acme, put in better flooring, better lighting...alcohol. I wish they didnt screw with prices. My moms acme has different prices than mine... And they retag some meat as 30% off when its really on sale... But I do appreciate the attempt to revamp

It was my first time in this store and boi did it smelt so bad I couldn’t handle staying there any longer. Let me tell you how this place smelled. It smelt like a dead fish was stuck into a dead human body then grinned and smeared all over the walls, the cell, the floors, and the products. It is ecustingly (disgustingly) gross.

As usual, theyre out of the Buck-A-Bag salads I went for.

Good service prices higher than others in the area

This place before covid19 was not an extremely busy supermarket so its ideal right now as they tend to have everything in stock. Im more a fan of shop right since theyre more diversified in the products sold but since Acme on Paoli pike tends not to have the crowds theyre is more available products, toilet paper, paper towels etc.

Yesterday when I was ready to check out, soon after noon, there was one lane operational, so I went to the Self-Check-out area, waited a short bit, and drove the stores electric cart to the first open register, which was very near the Stores employee, Jean, I believe her name was. As soon as I stopped, she came over and was very eager to help me in any way. I asked for brown bags?? and she brought several over, asked if Id need more? No. She got me started with the process, and the first items were a plastic store bag with pears, bearing a very small label with its tiny barcode. I was trying to get the scanner to recognize it, but it didnt. I tried to have the computer look it up, but couldnt. Jean came over and told me of the tiny code above the tiny barcode...too tiny for me to read, and after asking if she could key it in for me, she remained nearby for further assistance. I was soon done and asked if shed call for an escort to my car, and I rode to the electric cart plug-in area to wait for the escort. This visit, among almost 100% of the time, was an especially welcomed experience due to a sleepless night, and BUSY morning, which was continuing well into the afternoon. Jeans unsolicited help was such a blessing! (That said, I cant think of a time when a store employee wasnt a blessing, and genuinely willing to help). THANKS, ACME!

Was there at 10:00, check out 10:30, 11/20. I asked the cashier to keep my bags light (neck issues) and he did! Just have to comment on that because I always ask, but attention is often not given to my request. (My receipt says Larry was the cashier.)

This Acme is always well stocked. The employees are always pleasant and helpful. They have sales every week and have great hours. Theyre are many times on weekends I meet friends out and stop in on my way home to pick up a few items around 1130 pm.

Every amenity of your modern grocery with a twist of originality I cant put my finger on. Helpful staff.

Absolutely RUDE people working there. Have yelled at my Mother more than once for asking where items were located. More than enough reason to never shop there again. I will be contacting managers and corporate asap after this last unprofessional blowup on their part. They should be ashamed and staff should 100% be fired.

Clean, bright, typically well stocked. Their seasonal aisle is a little blah sometimes, but its seasonal, not a permanent thing. Personable and usually helpful staff.

I was there yesterday and the store is dirty looking. There’s never any cashiers open. They had the guy who pushes carts working the self serve registers. The meat department was a mess, I’ve never seen so many manager specials on meat. It looked like it was bad. I had to pick up my medicine at pharmacy and the pharmacist was supposed to call about a medicine they didn’t have and had no idea when it was supposed to be in stock. He told me he’d call me today and let me know what was going on, guess what? He never called me back.. Giant supermarket is my store to shop!

I hate ACME the prices are high and the portions are small. Case in point...7 bucks for a precooked small chicken? I can get one for 5 elsewhere. I cant find the brands I want and the stuff thats there is terrible in quality.

This is the worst grocery store I have ever been to. I cant help but think the good reviews on here were done by employees trying to save their own butts. Every time I have been there nothing was stocked and when I finally find an employee to ask for help they have said every time thats not my department. When I go to a Wegmans I always get asked if I need help at least 4 times.Today I went up to the deli counter and the only employee behind the counter was sitting on the table where they slice the meat with his headphones in and staring at his phone. Let me repeat this his butt was on the counter and he didnt notice I was there. I literally left and went to another store.

Only place open on Christmas Day. Thank you to all who gave up their holiday morning for last minute shoppers like me!
