Excellent coffee with wonderful owners and staff. The atmosphere is serene and chill. Lots of yummy treats and board games for the kids to play.

A nice local place with a good menu and good selection. Stopped in for a cup of coffee in the morning. Made freshly to order and was very pleased with the cup. Definitely a premium coffee that they are grinding and serving. If you are ever in West Chicago definitely stop by and support a local business and youll definitely enjoy their coffee.

Nothing beats local in tradtional downtown areas. Stopped by to get Chemex filters, coffee and baked goods. Definitely will be back!

Super helpful staff, and The Greatest Mocha in The World might actually have a shot at that title. The interior design is funky and fun, the outdoor seating in the back is peaceful, and the coffee is great, but most notable are the bathrooms. Weird, right? But seriously. The (gender-neutral!) bathroom is like a microcosm of this places approach to hospitality. They provide baby changing stations, urinals, feminine products (tampons AND pads), baby wipes, hand lotion, and diapers. They have you covered. Pretty sure you could get in a gunfight on the street outside of Kindred Coffee and you could patch yourself up using the equipment provided in their bathrooms. Anyway. Its awesome. Support them.

I am really happy I stumbled into this place accidentally. I stopped by for a coffee on my way to do some computer work, but fell in love with the ambience I stayed for 2.5 hours and worked at the shop. It’s SUPER clean, bright, quiet (in the best possible way), the staff is very friendly, as are the patrons. It looks small from the front but there’s a larger sit down area in the back, they are VERY family friendly- I think I saw an ample supply of kids games. I appreciate this because as a parent, it’s hard to go get a cup of coffee with my husband and sit down to drink it when we have the kids with us. It’s definitely appreciated that they have activities to keep kids engaged. Oh yeah, their coffee is great too lol. I’m Cuban-American and I have been spoiled with some high quality brew since the age of 4 yo, so I like to pretend I’m a connoisseur of good coffee. I ordered a cup of coffee, no sugar and a splash of cream and it was great. I could taste that the beans were fresh; there was definitely a brightness and delicate taste to their brew. It didn’t taste burned or reheated or stale, and the caffeine definitely hit me 20 minutes in lol. It was a DAMN good cup of coffee for like $3 with free refills, I HIGHLY approve. I also noticed they have some sandwich options but I can’t speak to that (yet). I’m looking forward to going back, supporting a small business with high quality products in my adopted home town, and enjoy being out of the house and feeling like life is back to normal. I hope this place stays in WC for a long time, because I want to become a regular there!Go get you some coffee!!!

Lovely atmosphere and delicious drinks. the masala chai was surprisingly flavorful in the best way possible. one of my favorite spots in the area. everyone who works there is very nice and the vibes are immaculate. always lifts my mood to visit

We drive 30 minutes just to hang out here and that was before the renovated shop was even open. My DH loves the coffee. My sister has me bring her bags of coffee when we visit. I cant tolerate caffeine, but no worries, the caffeine free tea selection is delish. Try it buds, youll like it.

This is a must go to coffee shop. Everyone there is not only very friendly but genuine down to earth people who take pride in serving others. The coffee is amazing and gourmet but not as amazing as their Most Amazing Mocha on Planet Earth!

This is a really good place. There is a shelf of games to play with kids. I had a really good sandwich and a good time chatting in the quiet atmosphere there.

Got a latte and grilled cheese to go. Both were perfect. I didn’t have to doctor up the latte with sugar or anything. Delicious.

Great, fresh roasted coffee. Delicious baked goods made in house. I highly recommend the muffins, they are perfect. You cant go wrong with any of their coffee drinks, either. Ask for a cold brew with the chocolate spiced syrup and milk, you wont be disappointed. The friendliest staff/owners, too! A gem in the western suburbs.

Every morning, I pass Kindred Coffee on my way to work. Today, I was stopped by a train and decided to check this place out. I had a latte and a blueberry muffin. BOTH WERE AWESOME!!!

It was my first time out in West Chicago (Im living in Chicago). I didnt get a chance to get my morning cup of joe, but I was EXTREMELY happy to find a local coffee shop.I spoke with one of the baristas about the shop and he was phenomenal.I ordered a market pour over, which turned out to be an Ethiopian roast. I also ordered a tumeric ginger tea. Both of them were really really good and you can taste high quality roasts/leafs.The vibes here are great. Theres a community space that can be reserved for local events, groups, encourageand other events folks might want to organize. There are also board games around the shop for people to have a little entertainment.I am going to go out of my way to come back again!

I enjoyed my time working here. I dont know if they have a dedicated WiFi router, as I used the Xfinity hotspot nearby to get online. Coffee is great, and baristas are kind and helpful!

Best muffins ever! And their Best Mocha in the Entire World truly is. Its got hints of cinnamon and a tiny bit of heat. So good! Plus they have such a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. If you work at Ball (as I do), I definitely recommend checking it out, its only a five minute drive away. They also have lunch food, which is yummy as well.

Great coffee shop with great roasts. If youve never had just espresso before this is the place to try it. Met the owner working behind the counter this morning and had a very informative conversation. Will be back to try other items off the board.

Storytime was great! Homemade bagels were delicious, plenty of cream cheese provided (I really love cream cheese), cookies were yummy. The gentleman that helped me was very friendly.

Wonderful, homey, and welcoming place. The drinks are very delicious, I always get a hot chocolate and never get tired of it. They offer a lot of varities of coffee and food as well. They have a bunch of puzzles and games for both adults and children. Would definitely recommend anyone looking to relax to stop by!

This place is the absolute best! The only negative thing I can say is that I have to stew over how amazing the iced mocha is until the next day they are open. A real treat with the nicest owner! Everything is make with the fine hand craftsmanship of someone that truly enjoys what they do.

We came in for a warm spot on a cold, rainy morning. Great service and coffee... latte, flat white, and herbal teas were delicious. Its bigger than we thought from the street view and the room in the back can be privately rented out! The artwork is a compilation of local artists creations, with art shows every first Friday if ever month.

I used to barista back in the day and have made the rounds at many Chicago coffee shops either as a patron or behind the bar. All I have to say is that every coffee shop should aspire to be like Kindred. Warm atmosphere, friendly owners and baristas, and delicious coffee. My favorite part, and this is going to be a funny comment, is that the place is always so clean. To me this means that the people working are attentive, they care, and they are proud of their space. Looking forward to trying the best mocha ever and Ill eventually have to buy one of their stylish beanies that half the patrons were wearing today when I came in :) As you can see, much love for Kindred Coffee Roasters.

Love the staff and the atmosphere of the place!!! My go to drink is the hot chocolate its not to sweet and for me its just hands down amazing! The staff is so nice and I really appreciate everything they do for the west Chicago community and for the high school. Keep up the good work!!

Super cozy setting, plenty of parking right nearby. Service was friendly and we got our drinks pretty quickly! The blueberry muffin tasted really fresh and my mocha was truly the best mocha on planet earth! Theres also plenty of seating and it was the perfect place to get some work done. Ive been here a few times now and am really grateful they are located in West Chicago. The owners are kind and hope you have a good experience at their establishment. As far as ambiance goes, they have great seating to work or chat with friends.Prices are fair for an independently owned coffee shop and they offer a decent variety--Id be hard-pressed to hear they dont offer you something youd like. You should stop in!

I like to drink coffee, but wouldnt consider myself a coffee aficionado, in fact I drink mine with cream, so most coffee tastes the same to me. I tried a cup of their Ethiopian coffee just black, and wow was that the best coffee I had ever had. It was so good, I didnt even need cream, no bitterness and so flavorful. Kindred Coffee Roasters, you are the best!

Pretty good place, a little bit smaller than Id like. They do have a nice sized room you can reserve. Theres just not a Goldilocks spot for 4-5 people. Not a huge deal breaker.

Best coffee I have ever had.I have tried the Ethiopia and Uganda coffee and have yet to try the Honduras coffee. I must say that both the Ethiopian and Ugandan coffee were both amazing. My favorite of course has to be the Ugandan coffee. I can say with most certainty that I will make another purchase at this fine coffee roasting shop.

Im all for supporting local businesses but I wont be going back here. I ordered a 16oz coffee and was a little shocked when I was charged $3.50. Starbucks costs less. The coffee I got was very bitter and left a bad taste in my mouth for hours and thats from drinking only half the cup, I threw the rest out.

The new cafe layout if fantastic and has plenty of seating. The shop roasts its own beans and actually cares about coffee, which is noticable and appreciated. Being a bit off the beaten path means its not often too crowded.
