It doesn’t get any better than Manny Segarra as far as gun shops go. I’ve been to several in the area & I won’t ever go anywhere else. Manny is personable, knowledgeable, and has what you need. I purchased my first firearm from him several years ago, and he even gave my husband and I both 2 dollar bills for good luck (I still have mine in my wallet to this day). That was a very nice personal touch that is practically unheard of at gun shops.I wanted something custom and quite specific this time around, and Manny got me squared away once again. Even threw in some bonuses for me and gave me a cute bag for my ammo. I strongly recommend this shop. Simply the best. Thank you.

Manny is hands down the most respectful gun store owner I have ever met.He will take the time to answer every question to the best of his knowledge, and that’s seems to be endless. I have brought several friends and family to his quaint little shop. He always has what I need. If he doesn’t have something he will let you know if he can get it or not. 0 stars!!!Last time having my firearm sent here. I Bought a pistol and it shipped out same day, 2 day max express by FedEx. I never received a call or email from anyone telling me that my firearm arrived. I called over 10 times to the phone number advertised...no answer. I even left voicemails with my information and nobody got back to me. I had to travel over an hour to hope he was open, to come in to him not doing anything. I did the background check which is supposed to take 72 hours and i never received a call from anyone To let me know my background check cleared. 6 days later after emailing once again and leaving voicemails once AGAIN. I traveled up there to see if anything was wrong with my background check to come to find out my firearm had been ready several days back.

Gentleman who owns the store seemed very nice, funny, and friendly. Seems like a genuinely good person. That said, I had looked on the website for pellets and there was only 1 brand that was not listed as out of stock.It was 3:04PM, so I raced over there before the stores somewhat early 3:30PM closing time. The owner was tending to someone else when I entered, which was fine at first but after 7 minutes of no acknowledgement (no Ill be right with you or one moment please) I was starting to get a little impatient looking at the same half-dozen guns.Finally after about 10 minutes and the other client leaving, he charmingly asked And what can I sell you today sir?I replied Pellets please! He then says he does not stock them in store but they are available online, which -duh- everything is. Website did not make that clear enough, and the shop reeked of cigarette smoke.Reluctant 2 star review, I really wanted to support small business. :(

Mannys is one of the best small businesses in the western suburbs! Manny is so knowledgeable, courteous and professional! Have been going to him for years and he always has a friendly smile for his customers. Watch out! He decided to delay my FFL transfer to showcase the guns I ordered in his glass cases. Unsure to how many people handled my purchase before the transfer was complete. There was 2 handguns in the transfer. Both marked as sold in his case when I came in for a third time. He still tried to stall me then. Doing business with him again is a HARD NO. Ordered from Buds, not him.

I went in to the store to buy my wife the smallest gun I could find. I spoke with the owner prior to me coming in. He said he did have a few that I could look at. I walked in and found a Kahr cw380. The firearm was tiny and thats what I wanted. I paid for the gun. Total was 318.09 purchased on 4-2-18 which is a monday Owner said no problem. It should be here in Thursday or Friday if not then by the following Monday. 😒 I had a feeling in my stomach. Owner said call me then and Ill let you know if its here.I call him on Thursday around 5 pm and he said hope its not here yet. Took my number and said hed look into it and get back to me. Never called me back. I called back the next day ( Friday ) and still no firearm.Now its Monday. 7 days later and still no firearm. At this point I was upset. I mean come on its a little 380.I looked on the ticket and there was nothing about no refunds. So I asked. Can I get my money back. Owner said he couldnt cause he already purchased the firearm.April 12 he calls me. Says hey your gun is here. You can pick it up anytime. At this point I didnt even want it. Anyway. I go to his store to pick up the firearm and Guess what... ITS THE SAME ONE I LOOKED AT IN THE DISPLAY. IT WASNT NEW. He sold me the used firearm that had been tested and handled by who knows. What a joke. This store is pure nonsense. The nerve of this guy to think I wouldnt recognize the same one I tested and to top it off he didnt give me any kind of discount considering the facts. Obvisley I will never go back there again and will continue to express my feeling about the store to all of my family and friends. I wanted to support our local businesses but from what this guy did to me I will never go back.I ended up selling the firearm to the store where I normally bought my firearms and had a brand new one in 72 hours. I made many times transfer here and also purchased a nice handgun.He is very friendly person.

To make a long story short, I ordered a lower AR receiver from manufacturer. Manny’s Gun shop was the closes FFL dealer. I filled up the necessary documents to have my receiver shipped there.On April 4th, I received a delivery confirmation from the shipping company. On the 5th I drove to Manny’s Gun shop to pick it up. He was very friendly, he answered all my questions, he told me that my lower receiver was there and that I need to fill out the background check form. I paid the $35 fee, he then told me I had to wait until it cleared. I stopped in the following day because it was on my way home. Background check was cleared but there was an issue, he could not find my lower receiver anywhere. He spent about 10-15 minutes looking for it, saying “I know it’s here somewhere”. He then looked in his logs where the package in actuality never arrived. I wasn’t worried because I assumed it would be found after calling the shipping company. I did question Manny about him telling me that it was there. Why did I do the paperwork for a gun part that wasn’t there? He just said its ok and that the background is good for 30 days that the manufacturer can just rend a replacement.Needless to say I called the shipping company and we tracked the package, it was actually shipped to another FFL dealer who took possession of it and waited for me to come get it. I had to fill out yet another background check which triggered another level of inspection because two gun shops performing background checks on lower AR receivers was suspicious. I explained and the agent/State Police officer explained to me that Manny should have never proceeded with background check if I didn’t inspect the part first.I just got off the phone with Manny and he told me it’s not his fault, to take this as a lesson that I paid for his time and the time it took for him to look for something that wasn’t there. As much as I don’t need the $35, now it’s the principle. Manny refused so I contacted my bank and they reversed the funds…I really didnt want to do this, I was extremely polite, Manny wasnt having any off it which is the wrong way of doing business. You made a mistake and instead of holding up your end of the deal by being a good guy, you just lost a really good client. The 2 Winchester rifles I was looking at and the Colt revolver and the 1911 Compact conceal will remain in your stock. $wasted $3,500 to save $35. Poor business decision.

Ive called twice, once looking for a pistol, the other time looking for a magazine. Both times they took down my information and said theyd call me back, and both times they failed to do so. Not a great way to entice new customers.

Sorry Manny, but went in to check shop out and there was a guy at the counter looking at guns with his two young kids. Manny let both kids handle guns next to where I was standing and they both were pointing them at each other and me. Shop was a mess. Wanted to like the place but have to take a pass.
