When I was 23 or four I actually helped build. The original Warehouse in Denmark became friends with them throughout the years and now moved back up to Columbia. Its amazing how many friends they have throughout the state? Theyre great company. Great help to build anything.

Their experience and willingness to explain what we need has helped me build an addition that looks good, will last, and is up to code. Called them on the phone and they said they had a part in stock that I needed, when I got there the part was different than they said and therefore would not work. Same guy who gave me the misinformation told me that I could acquire the part at a different store and I drove across town to go to the store and when I got there they said they would have to order it, which is the same thing Shuman Owens would have to do. I wasted a trip to Shuman Owens and a trip to Barts fireside and subsequently 38 minutes. Shuman Owens is not a bad place to shop, my Grandad goes there all the time. This is my first time shopping there and I’ll go back only if I have to.

Shuman Owens is the best lumber yard and building supply store in Columbia hands down. They have the highest quality products, friendly service, and most knowledgeable staff Ive ever done business with. If youre shopping strictly on price, they may not be for you. If you want an easy, enjoyable experience, then they are.
