I have been buying high end/high grade materials from R.H.Smith for over 25 years. All of these materials were high grade treated lumber for extensive decking and a very large covered porch made, in large part, of exterior laminated beams in 4 x10, 4 x 16, and 6 x 6 sizes all purchases from R.H. Smith.Recently I added onto this deck and found problems with the treated 6 x 6 posts. I went to Lacey concerning the posts and he stated simply that he only seen this one other time in his 30 years of business.Also note that this deck is 15 years old easily and I have never replaced any of the decking boards on this deck. Not the first one.Lacey stated only, can I come check this out this Monday. No hesitation, no what did I do wrong, nothing thrown back my way. Simply can I come Monday to help you with this problem.I have worked with contractors in my business for nearly 30 years. I have never seen a contractor/building owner take it completely upon himself - no questions asked as Lacey has done for me for this situation.I was stunned but also felt vindicated that I have been dealing with the right company for nearly 25 years in buying materials, especially heavy treated lumber products for these past 25 years.THANK YOU TONS TO YOU AND YOUR STAFF !!!

Been dealing with them for years. Tickled pink when I saw the give them a rating.Nothing but stars and blessings. Love the people, love the wood. Truly number 1 grade no bark edges and no knots falling out.Makes the most beautiful Pergolas you could dream of !!!!Prices are decent with what we all are looking for in number 1 grade treated wood.In looking at their web references it would be nice for them to have a updated price list to help price out jobs after hours. Only thing I could think of that would help...with that said it was a hard choice to give them all five stars...but they do deserve it!
