I rated this a 2 star solely due to their random rate increases and switch-a-rue I experienced on my initial move-in day. The branch management and staff has no power to correct or accommodate your concerns. It is always said it comes from cooperate and we dont have control.Summary of experince:1.Move-in day Nov 2020 - my reserved unit suddenly was no longer available and was forced to take another size. The cost was higher no matter my supposed locked in rate. I was forced to pay the higher rate inspite them saying otherwise.2. Rate increased significantly within 3 months.3. Downsize to a smaller unit Mar 2021 ($35 rent + $15 insurance). Received noticed Aug 2021 that rate was going to increase another $15 in Sept 2021.I decided it best for me to remove my items because I believe they are ripping customers off and have no true explanation other than its cooperateOtherwise place is clean and staff is pleasant. Inspite all the red tap Darlenes customer service is awesome!

When I first became a customer at this location back in August 2020, I was accompanied by an individual who was keeping me in a volatile and unsafe situation. This person was my only means of transportation at the time and was not a part of establishing this account. I met with Denise and she helped me to establish a new account and storage unit so that I was able to leave that situation more easily.The unspoken understanding Denise and I had regarding my situation during the opening of my new storage unit account was remarkable. Denise protected my account and code information with such skilled professionalism and compassion that it made the experience more comfortable and less stressful. I am incredibly grateful for that. More recently, I needed to call the store regarding an issue I had with my autopay. I spoke with Toni and I explained that my payment information had changed and needed to make sure my payment was not declined. Toni reassured me that if my payment declined due to the updated information that any fee would be waved and would simply charge the new payment method. Toni was so sweet and understanding. I am so grateful that she was able to help me navigate this issue with no problem. I highly recommend this location for any storage needs you may have.

This location is great and I would recommend office managers Tammy and Denise to anyone. They are incredibly transparent and friendly to work with, which is exactly what you want when dealing with a business.I booked a unit online, as I am in the middle of a big project and needed a unit to hold important family items (lots of sentimental value) for a while. Shortly after booking, I got a call from Denise informing me there was a problem with the unit and would not be best to store my items. She also gave me advice on how to best protect my items once in storage. Denise and Tammy worked with me to find a unit that would work best with my items. Not all businesses would have (1) called to tell me their was an issue with the unit after booking me, especially if it meant loosing my money and cancelling a unit and (2) would not have worked with me as much as they did to find an alternative solution. Although I wasn’t able to find a comparable unit, Tammy and Denise showed how much they (and their company) cares about their customers and their items. I would highly recommend Public Storage if for nothing else than their customer service.

I been renting there for years. If your on first floor the door doesnt work. You have to hit it and push to open. I have complained and lady said they cant fit.

My Service Dog & I had a wonderful experience w/Donna. She made me feel as if Id known her forever! She was not only kind, polite, extremely inviting, as well as professional, but my service dog, Samson also greeted her as if hed always known her forever, as well. Ive had him for 9 years & Ive NEVER seen him react to a stranger the way he did her! He even gave her one of his hugs that he rarely gives to anyone . . . Even people hes known for years! Hes an excellent judge of character & his judgments have NEVER BEEN WRONG! So, what I guess Im trying to say is that after a few moments around Donna, we knew we would be renting our unit from her even before viewing it! She is an exceptional human being and an asset to Public Storage. If it wasnt her that we met, we would have probably looked around before deciding on the company we would be renting from.First impressions & customer service is the key! I lost my key to the lock on the storage unit and had been trying to get the lock cut and a replacement put on. It had been a bit of a problem scheduling the lock-cutting until I went by the facility Wednesday, May 29. The young lady on duty, Erica, took ownership of the situation and arranged to solve the problem in an hour. This was something I had been trying to get done for weeks. She was friendly, courteous and GOT THE JOB DONE QUICKLY. Give her a raise!! She is an excellent employee. Also, when I went back the next day to access the locker there was a different lady working (whose name I have forgotten) who was equally courteous and helpful. Two excellent employees. Apparently the person I had worked with earlier is no longer employed there. Good move. The two you have now are keepers. They understand customer service.

I was misled to believe the unit would be $20 for the first month because of a special they told me about. I get there and it seemed they had a charge for everything under the sun and I ended up paying $60. I even asked if they just wanted my card because there were so many fees. I should have ran then. They charge you for a key that you have to buy because its a cylinder key that you just throw away after because its not like you can use it anywhere else. So $20 down the drain. they charge you insurance fees because these units are not weather protected. I get my first bill and its $173. why the heck. I could have gotten 2 huge units somewhere else for less than that and they would have climate control. My unit here is not even that big and I have to worry about my stuff getting molded smh. Now I have to rush back to sc and get my stuff out asap because this is insane to pay all this money with the possibility my stuff is ruined. I do not recommend this place at all. Not unless you want something indoors which mine is not.

Very clean. We were given excellent customer service. Patty and Donna are very nice and walk you through the process thoroughly. I would definitely recommend Public storage.Edit: I changed my 5 star rating to 4 because I had my storage unit 1 yr and 4 months and they rose the price 2 times $10 each time. So beware....once your stuff is in there your rate will go up about every 6 months. I guess theyre counting on knowing youre not going to want to move all your stuff. I will say that when I was able to move my belongs, we were not going to be able to get it all done before the gate cutoff time, and the lady there gave us a code that worked until 12 midnight so I wouldnt be charged for another month. So, I still recommend them because the staff is friendly and helpful and the place is always very clean....just know what you start off paying WONT be what you end up paying 6 months later.
