Great experience here. I needed a tire plugged and they took care of it for a great price.

Dont waste your time, called ahead to get two trailer tires mounted and balanced. I dropped them off and went about my day. 5 hours later still no call... Went back in to check they hadnt even got the tires off the rims!!! Then they told me they would get right on it, 15 minutes later the tech said it wouldnt be until tomorrow. This seemed odd so I asked what was the problem. They informed me that no one there could set the bead on the tire and that the manager was the only person who would be able to do it and he would be in tomorrow morning. I believe this is unacceptable for any place that does tires. I went to the Firestone down by the super Target. Got me right in, thankfully they had a pair of tires and took under 20 minutes to get both mounted, balanced and out the door. If you value your time I wouldnt recommend. I know Ill never be using this particular location ever again.

The installation and service was okey. But they went too far with me. I have an old car (2006 Honda Accord) and went to buy 2 front tires and install them. They told me the car had a wheel lock and they needed to find the key. A moment later they told me they couldn’t find it (it was normally at the trunk) the guy working with the car with malicious compliance took they key and dropped it inside a dot 4 brake liquid I’ve just bought the day before and they had the audacity to tell me they couldn’t find the key. I don’t know why they did this to me but it really hurt me. They are classist which is weird for someone working at Walmart. Should’ve paid a bit more and go to Costco or discount tire.

Fast friendly and affordable can you complain about that? Its Walmart who does go or like Walmart!?I know this from experience. I have used the Walmart mechanics secretive on multiple occasions and they always compare to my mechanic in price and actually do it in less time.

The most incompetent people running the tire shop this side of the Mississippi. I ended up taking my new tires I ordered online and left without them installed. I wouldn’t even trust them to put air in my tires as they would likely mess a simple task like this up. What can expect it’s Walmart.

I swear by the road hazard warranty on my tires. Came back from a trip big chunk of tread missing! In and out great job guys!

Told us wrong hours and told us vehicle was done then nobody was around so we could pick it up. Never going again.

When you would like a cheap and fast oil change thats about all I got to say for those guys but there is no room for improvement

Great service and very fast. My tire was going flat really quick and needed to have it looked at. I originally stopped by Firestone and they were busy. They wouldnt even look at it. Anyways, I called WalMart, and, spoke to Anita, at tire center. She was absolutely awesome and very friendly. I was in and out of there less then 15 minutes, so kudos to everyone there. Will reccomend for great customer service AND great vehicle service too. Thanks

Good front desk help. Very engaging service from the ladies. Expect a wait if you go in the afternoon without a appointment, but you can always browse the latest and greatest of Walmart goods while you wait like a hobo waits on a train. I will be back!

I get my oil changed here regularly and have bought tires here as well. All reasonably priced and well done. Dont have to worry about taking a guy with me to make sure theyre being honest, and they never try to sell me a bunch of services I dont need. Awesome!

I had my tires rotated/balanced here. I think there must be a training issue or something here because they were way out of balance when they gave me the car back. I had to take it somewhere else and pay to get it done correctly despite getting free tire rotation and balance when I purchased the tires. Ive had good luck at the south DSM Walmart tire center. Probably my last visit at this one.

I will never go to Walmart tire again. I have had 2 tires replaced at this Walmart before. Now they tell me they put the wrong size tire on before and will not put a tire on my car. Why am I learning of this now. They should have told me this 2 tires ago. I was denided a new tire because of their negligence. Never again.

Oil change and tire rotation/balance. Unfortunately they dont make appointments for these 2 service items so recommend getting there first thing. Good experience overall with no upsell on any items.

Terrible experience. They replaced the wrong tires on my car and tried to charge me for something I specifically said I didnt want. My husband also received terrible service when he had his done. They told him initially he could have just two tires replaced, butw he got there, one of the guys tried to tell him he absolutely had to have all tires changed. He almost left before someone finally agreed with him.

I pull in to ask about an oil change. The tech stops me and says to go inside and schedule. I go, wait 20 minutes just to be told they are not taking appointments. I understand being busy but was the point in making a customer wait just to be told no.

I had three Nails in two tires. They patched one and had to order a second one. All fine there. Next day I go back to get second tire put on and they had no room. Had to change it myself in the parking lot. The guy that put my spare on the day before broke the board cover to my spare tire which I figured out when I went to put on the new tire.Even after all that I would have been okay with it but no discount for having to change my own tire. I even asked and the guy said nope. Not sorry sir... Or even I wish I could... Just nope.

Oil change was reasonably priced and they were quick and friendly.

They left a cover underneath my car unscrewed after an oil change. Now I have a huge cover half attached hanging underneath my car. Nice.

One of the worst experiences I have had simply trying to replace tires and brake light. They quoted, ordered, and almost attempted to install the wrong sized tires on my vehicle until I noticed my receipt didnt match the tires I was quoted. After waiting another week for the correct tires to be ordered, they didnt seem to know I was there for tires as they had marked only to repair my brake light. The auto tech ringing me up told me how exhausted he was and said he shouldnt be at work after making multiple mistakes on my pricing - It was not comforting knowing he would then be going to work on my vehicle. After installing the tires, they failed to repair the brake light. Finally, after waiting even longer for them to complete that, they returned my front tires after I had asked to keep the two back (newer). When I asked to see all tires, they pulled them from the back warehouse and agreed to return them all to me as they made a mistake-I am assuming they were going to re-sell my used tires for their own profit. Unfortunate that I was talked into getting the warranty, I will not be going back.

We arrived at 7:30 am and was told that it would be 4 hours before they could do an oil change. There was one car in the bay and 2 guys working. Looks like they need to hire someone who knows what they are doing, starting with a manager. Too bad there wasnt a zero star option, because they did nothing.

Wal-Mart do tires well, they have trained personal what torque wrench the lug nuts, etc.

Showed up at six to buy two new tires. Was told they didnt have time. They close at seven. Was lied to by attendant who told me all bays were full. (there was only one car) The attendant also told me it would take 45 minutes to change two tires. I can do all four in less time with a hand jack. Will not come here again and will tell everyone else to stay away.

They offer headlight replacements for $7.50 (plus cost of bulb) so since I needed an oil change I figured might as well get a headlight fixed. Turns out they couldnt figure out how to replace the bulb and the manager on duty wasnt able to as well. This speaks volumes to the potential incompetence you may run into at this location.

These people hide behind appointments to do as little work as possible. Told me a oil change takes a half hour even with an appointment. Ive been waiting here for 15 minutes already not a single car has been getting worked on and they told 2 other customers who were walk-ins that it would be over 2 hours. I used to work at a walmart TLE and know this is not how it is supposed to operate. Ive tried walking in 2 other times besides my appointment today. I would definetely not recommend this place.Going on 45 minutes for an oil change with an appointment with no other cars being worked on. This place is a joke.

This is the best Walmart Tire & Lube Express in the Des Moines area. They are very attentive and do fantastic work. I have had several of my cars tires rotated, balanced, swapped and the end result is always a smooth ride. I was especially pleased with the attitude of MarJay and the manager, Chad. Kudos to them for always doing a great job.

Horrible customer service, I am not sure why Walmart will hire people that will end up destroying there image, business, and customers. Walmart is not a great place when it comes to customers satisfaction.

Took my van in to have new tires put on was told they could not get the lug nuts lose took it home used my Craftmans cordless impact took them right off. !!!!!!!!!

A tire center that cant install tires is a paradox Im still trying to grasp.

Been there numerous times, its the only parts store in the area, every time I walked away angry. Guy helping me today was literally too stupid to work the fry station at McDonalds

Not satisfied, I gave my car for low beam bulb installation. They just screwed it. High beam lights stopped working.

Arrived at 2:30 finally got done with new tires 2 1/2 hours later they need more help in automotive department was looking at a buying car tires to but will go somewhere else

Needed oil change. They said no. Went elsewhere.

Had two tires put onto my car. Was charged for two very high priced tires that were not on my car. After having to prove to the manger the expensive tires were not on my car I finally received a refund. They would not put the refund back on my card and made me take a hodge of assorted bills and coins.

They took away appointments.

Had purchased tires here 5 months ago. Had a nail in the tire. Purchased the road hazard warranty at time if tire purchase...so GLAD we did! Tire was wearing prematurely so was given new tire at NO cost !
