The worst UPS store Ive been too in a long time. The guy actually shared he was the owner of it. I seriously will drive out of my way to avoid doing Amazon returns and any other shipping I have at this location. Also while waiting in line for 10 minutes while he was helping (kind of) other customers I heard him bash every other company that does preferred UPS business with them. So basically any company that has a contract with UPS he doesnt like. Anyways - plenty of UPS stores in Des Moines - most are great - avoid this one and drive a little further if you have to.

I have used this same store (with many different owners) for over 20 years. The current owner has another larger store I believe, and does not visit or work out of this store much. This store (and most UPS Stores) are as good as their manager or the staff. I have had mixed experienes with this store, mostly I believe due to the staff.The owner I know, so I usually ask him to pick up things for me, even for a fee, if I need to ship something out. The store is close to my home, but it is difficult for me to drive. This store did a commendable job during the Covid restrictions, but I feel like it is often understaffed. The last time I was in the store there were two people working and nobody else but me in there. Everything went fast and well. I think much of the problem with these stores is that they can be empty or have just one client in them at one moment, and within 3-5 minutes have 4-5-6 other people in there needing to be served. Because I know the owner tries hard to balance things and retain good help, I will give them four stars.

By far the friendliest UPS store in the Des Moines metro area. I literally drive across town just to go to this one because everyone is so nice and helpful!

Went in today to mail a package and send a couple of returns and was treated to some of the best customer service. We had a gentleman who went above and beyond to answer our questions and take care of all of our needs. Fantastic staff!

The staff, Skylar was so helpful. Offered to come & carrying my boxes for me.He was friendly & knowledgeable. Also answered any questions that I might of had.I would highly recommend this UPS location.

I visit this store at least 3 times a week. Annginnette is always knowledgeable and ready to assist. If I bring something in that urgently needs to be shipped she has cheerfully gotten it done. My business depends on many of their services, not just shipping, but business cards and copying as well. Thanks!

Addendum--I decided to call the manager of the store and spoke with Jessica who explained that I should not have been charged and offered to refund the five bucks.Received e-mail from UPS that they could not locate my house despite my address being listed correctly and previously delivering packages to my residence on several occasions. I was given the option to have package delivered to a different address or to the nearest UPS store. I was fine with this as I thought it would be simple enough to go to the UPS store on EP True to pick up the package. When I arrive the lady rudely says that will be five bucks. I said for what, UPS inexplicably could not deliver it to my address and gave me the option to pick it up here...why would I pay five bucks for that??? Anyway, I wanted the package so I paid five bucks, but Im still perplexed as to what it is I actually paid them five bucks for--not to deliver the package to my house I guess.

Attempted to get a notary 40 min before closing and the employee told me she wouldnt do it that close to closing. I asked how long it took and she told me about five minutes. I even offered to wait until she helped the customer behind me and the service was refused. Drove to another store and they completed the notary and I had it paid for in less than five minutes. Cant speak to other employees of this business, but this came off as quite lazy.

I needed to ship a package to China. The man here was very friendly and helpful! He told me what the computer said the estimated delivery times would be, then told me what I should actually expect. I am always for honesty! He also prepared me for the cost in advance so I wasnt in shock when he told me the costs of the various services. This store can ship UPS and USPS, which I loved!! I ended up going with USPS because it was not extremely time-sensitive and the cost was much lower. It was great not having to drive to a post office to get a quote from them! I will definitely ship from here again! (They also do large-scale printing/copying, but Im not a business so I doubt I will ever need to use those services)

I usually use this store to drop off return packages. So far, all of my packages have made it back to the proper place, and I can get in and out in a quick minute or two. The location is easy to get to, and parking is convenient. I will continue to use this store.

Rude. Simply put. I can’t even say it was poor customer service as there simply was no service. I didn’t realize not having packing tape at my office was such an extreme inconvenience to a literal packing and shipping store. And my request for a tracking number? Unheard of. I definitely deserved the eye roll. I will go out of my way for services elsewhere next time.

These guys are the best. I have been doing business here for years and time and again, they are always courteous and helpful. I rented a box from them six or seven years ago and have never regretted it. Thanks much guys for great service.

Horrible horrible customer service. Asking you to sign something but doesnt even know what youre signing and they will not give you a copy of what you sign.I will never be back. UPS needs to really reevaluate the UPS Stores. The United States Postal Service gives way better customer service.
